I've been aware of furries for several years now, but never gave it much thought.  After being reintroduced on Friday (5/28/10) evening, I dove head first into fursuit design. I'll be starting on the head of my first fursuit in the next couple of days.  The body of my costume is easy for me, since everything is pretty much store bought. The only custom fabricated piece is going the head.  I'm still not 100% on what the finished product is going to be, or even how it's even going to look. I've been doing extensive research into design styles and techniques, and I believe I know where I want to end up... Wearing my hand-designed fursuit to Otakon 2010! :P

Huh? What species is it gonna be? I would think it would be kinda hard to make a fursuit head for an animal that you're not sure of... (Chuckles)
Well whatever it is, it would be better than my paw glove. I messed up on that thing BAD. XD

Comes in 5 diffrent flavors, but  is always inhumanly sweet.

Hello, we're all friendly here, like Shado said, what's the fursuit species?  Well that aside:
Welcome friend you are now an awesomerifictabularisticalatingishingerful member of the Furry Fandom, here you will be greeted with candies and happiness and your worries will go away. Then you'll wake up. The waking up sucks but it's fun while it lasts and the more involved you are in furriness the longer it lasts, and its awesome while it lasts. Well, just be happy and be free bro, just not to free 'cuz there are like, rules and stuff......

Well hi! welcome to both the forums and the fandom! So from what your saying, your pretty much doing a cannon ball in a swimming pool...hope its a big splash!  ;) ehe...I dunno if you will get that joke but anyway, if its not to much to ask uh...can I know more about you? like...what are your hobbies and all that fun stuff.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! Right, hobbies...? Well, for the last couple of months I have been modifying NERF guns. Mostly cosmetic mods like making them look like scifi/movie guns. I also am big into working on/modding cars, full size/real and scale models. Basically I like modifying stuff. "Box Stock is boring" is my motto for this. I also love RPG's, both pencil and paper style and video games. Music? metal! but not all of it... my iPod play list is pretty eclectic, but mostly metal.

As for my fursona... black and grey? I've got more gathered together and done than I think I have.  It's just a matter of constructing the head. The reason I said that I don't yet know what the head is going to look like, is because when I start on a custom project like this, it tends to take on a life of it's own.  I start with an idea (rough or detailed) and I start changing things in the middle of the fabrication process. I am going to try to take pictures of every step of the build process.  This a very rare thing for me, I never take pictures until I've finished...  ^_^  This will be an experience indeed!

Well, if you need any help figuring it out, you can ask around.
It could also depend on your fursona's fighting style and abilties. :)
