I used to have tons of hobbies, then they all got too expensive lol.  There's still lots of things I do to pass the time though...

Learning about all aspects of computers.  In fact, I'm attending classes that will hopefully expand my knowledge of them greatly.
Playing instruments, but mainly only guitar these days.  I used to be a drummer in a band, until I had to pay some bills, then the drums had to go bye bye.
Working on vintage and classic vehicles, true vehicles that ran on gas and mechanics, not electricity and computers.  Ironic, huh?
Daydreaming constantly of what the world would be like if it were full of anthros instead of self centered, greedy humans.
Partying when I have the time and/or money to do so.  Can't have all work and no play.  Getting drunk is ok as long as nobody drives.
Eating!!!  I love eating, and trying new foods whenever I have the chance.  I'll try anything at least once.
I used to be a big-time gamer, but I no longer have any gaming consoles, and have gotten so far behind on new games that I doubt I'll ever catch up.
Painting is relaxing, but I'm talking like painting a house or a car...one solid color.  I'm a terrible artist, so there's no chance I'd ever make any art, but I like to see the differences that different colors make.

There's lots of other stuff too, but most of it is too boring to post lol.  TV and movies and the likes.

Gardening is pretty awesome, unfortunately, it's hard to get stuff to grow in the middle of the desert.  If I lived somewhere greener, I'd have a small garden for sure.  Martial Arts, on the other hand, I would never be too good at...I don't have the dedication, confidence, and responsibility for it.  I think that all forms of Martial Arts are very interesting, as well as the most effective during altercations.

My worst ever bout of writer's block came after I'd finished my first novel. Couldn't write a word for months. The second worst bout was medically induced by my ADD meds. I could still think and plan my books just fine. But the meds blocked off that bridge between my mind and the keyboard. Needless to say, that's when I stopped taking them. Now, I've got two more novels to my name. As yet unpublished however. In the process of correcting that now. :P

I never made it even close to that far...I wrote 3 chapters, posted them for free on a site I shall not name here, and then I've been dead ever since.  Though, I did take Adderal for a while shortly after....then stopped taking it, but the block never left....???  I don't know....

Sometimes, maybe a flicker of something goes through my head, but it never leads anywhere.  I think my problem is that I over analyze stuff too much now.  I think about it too hard and get frustrated, then quit for a while, and repeat.  Might be part of the reason I have a problem.  Used to be, I didn't really think all that much...it was more like describing a movie in the theater in writing...the opposite of a movie coming from a book, its a book that is written after the movie.  Now it's not that way...my internal media player is broken lol.

Here's a little advice that may help you. It doesn't need to be possible, it just needs to be plausible. I faced the same issue when I started working on my werewolf novel. I wanted to make my Werewolves a natural part of the ecosystem rather than some horrible monster created by a virus or magical curse. But what kept throwing me off of this was coming up with a reason why it's the bite of a Werewolf that changes humans. I came up with a number of theoretical explanations  but always wound up over analyzing them. What helped me finally create the real explanation was to write down all my theoretical ones, and then work out which pieces fit together the best. The trick is to try not to think in straight lines. :P

I usually buy gemstones and put together jewelry that manipulates energy, mainly charm bracelets/ necklaces and magnetic bracelets which are good for blood circulation. They make wonderful gifts for people and for alittle extra money on the side.

Sadly, no I don't. Between work and school and the bloody winter, I hadn't been able to deal with the things I love. I'm like a lizard, if I could carry a heat lamp with me, I would, but instead I'm stuck wearing 3-4 layers of thermal wear to keep myself warm. Plus I get sick very easily and end up stuck in bed not being able to move. And my life would significantly improve if I had my own computer or laptop, but I hadn't the moneys for the luxury. Life sucks when you've got no steam, let alone your own body heat to keep you going. The situation has become really pathetic and depressing.
But here's a link to my flickr gallery of some of my artwork done before my life got complicated, if ya feel like ya wanna see.

It's not a lot, but it's an example of some of the things I did before I got my B.F.A in art...Hopefully spring comes soon, there is so much to do, so much to share.
