Title: New To The Furry World

I am new to the furry world and just wanting to get my paws wet (I know, silly joke). My hubby has recently revealed to me that he's a furry so I'm trying to find out everything I can about this. It's a little awkward to me to reveal personal things about myself; but I guess I'm just trying to come to terms with his new found obsession. Any help on what to do, or say, would be greatly appreciated!!

How did you react at first, when your husband told you? Because people usually think badly of the furdom because of media.

I had honestly never heard of this culture before and didn't know what to really think. The thought of it kind of disturbed me, but I'm slowly (very slowly) warming up to it. We've looked at various fursuits together trying to get an idea of what he calls my "fursona" should be, (his is a wolf) but there's alot I guess I don't understand about it, hence that's why I'm getting as much info as I can.

It's basically, you have an alternate version of yourself that is an anthropromorphic version of another animal. And you use this "fursona" to interact with others' fursonas. It's not a "culture" or "lifestyle" if you ask me.

Regardless, please poke around here and see if anything is in your interest.
