Hey there ^-^ I thought about this and I think it could be a great idea to start this post...
As we all may know, we sometimes discover bands, music, artists that we didn't thought they existed or we discovered randomly and started to listen to... Come and share your late discoveries (like 6 months ago up to now) ^-^ any style is welcome ^_^
As for me, I discovered many new metalcore/Deathcore bands :
- Kataklysm
- Abandon All Ships
- Whitechapel
- Blind Witness
- Hatebreed
- CJ ramone (that's a punk rock band though)
That's pretty much it for me ^-^
-
I discovered that I like a lot of Skrillex stuff, not much else though, I drift around different genres a lot.
-
I discovered a band called The Bunny The Bear, kind of a mix of techno (often very danceable) Metal (Many heavy guitar riffs and growls) and pop (The other singer has an amazing falsetto voice)
I've also been listening to a very fast and loud Techy/Math Metal band called Car Bomb, which oddly enough can be likened to what the music itself sounds like, but I like it. Then again I can chill out and relax to dissonant noise, I'm weird that way :P
-
Within the past 6 months my musical world exploded and expanded by about 120%....
Some that I like the most would be:
Blue Stahli
Prodigy
Celldweller
Eisenfunk
Unknown Error
LapfoxTrax
Skrillex
Ephixa
Zardonic
1nsane
Mägo de Oz
Santa Tierra
Turisas
Korpiklaani
Eluveitie
Týr
DjMangoo
Maximum the Hormone
Dj Sharpnel
Dj Jinnai
Dj Hellblinde
Blind Guardian
I think I pointed out the discoveries that had the most impact on me.

I'm starting to get into Xasthur, a depressive black metal band I found on Fur Affinity Forums. I downloaded their "To Violate The Oblivious" album last night and liked just about every song on it.
Here's a sample:
