Title: Political Parties
Post by: H3adHunt3r on March 12, 2012, 11:23:02 PM
In this thread, we can talk about political parties,
which ones we are in and what they are about, along with our beliefs.

I'm glad to admit I'm now a Minarchist Libertarian, which the parties beliefs reflect my own, which believes in minimum government and maximum liberty.
We believe the broken system we have isn't capitalism (free markets) but corprotism (markets dictated by major corporations)
Anybody like to share their political standpoints?  :?

My question is whether this thread is for the debate of political ideologies, or simply their presentation.

I am a democratic socialist.  We believe in the utilization of government to prevent the abuse and oppression of the many by the power of the few.  Recognizing that capitalism is inherently a broken system, we work within it to protect the 5% of people who are systematically unemployed. Full employment under a capitalist system is a myth and as such, the government, as the counterweight to the market, must step in to protect the vulnerable.  To this end, we promote democratically elected leaders to advance socially conscious legislation ensuring that everyone is protected from the abuses of the wealthy, and the market.

For those readers in the U.S. and other Western Countries....Socialism=/=Communism and Democratic Socialism=/=Socialism.

I am a supporter of the Australian Green Party. I am greatly opposed to the "One Nation" and "Family First Party". Not too much into politics though haha

I don't support any single party instead I vote tactically in an attempt to keep the parties I don't want out. (The Scottish National Party)

@ anoni,
Interesting, although my green beliefs are quite different from the green party, I admire their motives to preserve our environment and to help
teach our people to be responsible about their surroundings.
Now If only we get rid of those "green" hypocrites that use "environmental protection" as a coverup for powerswapping the rights of the American people along with causing unreasonably massive amount of damage to our economy and greedily make a whole bunch out of our government... not event at least practice what they preach and replace them with good hearted authentic green activists/economists that aren't a bunch of deceitful, minipulative, self-serving lawyers (or attorneys, which ever word you prefer to use).

I will also add that the Libertarian Party believes in free market green technology developement and teaching that isn't from our corrupt and incompetent government.
I'm all for green like you my friend.   ;)
