Hi! Not sure if this is in the right place, but I had a furry girlfriend a couple years back, and she got me into the fandom. Been lurking on forums since; just decided to get truly involved. Now, from what I understand, I need a "fursona" to be my furry self; alas, I have no idea on how to do it. Basically, I decided on a wolf, and also to try and keep it quite animalistic (is "Feral" the word?); probably able to speak english, but not much more. From there I kind of get lost, and would like some help; even just some ideas would be useful!

A feral wolf that can talk; good work, you have yourself a fursona.
It's not very complicated.
Anything you want to add now is just icing on the cake; fur color, markings, piercings, personality, whatever you want to add or not add. What most people do is just add their own personality into their fursonas, but it can be whatever you want, but to let other people know how your fursona looks you'll have to either write up a description, draw a picture, or get someone else to draw it for you.
Truth be told, you don't even really need a fursona if you don't want, you can enjoy furry things without all that.
But, yeah, not much to it.

I'm Otebon Albrecht and I'd like to welcome you to the Forum. As it pertains to a Fursona, don't worry too much about it. It's your character, your decision, YOUR views. It can be as detailed or non-existent as you desire. If you like the idea of a talking Wolf representing you, then that is all you need.
If you REALLY want to flesh out a fursona the best thing I can tell you is... give it time. Explore the Forum a bit and find things that interest you. Decide on how you want to be represented.
It can be as big or as small as you decide to be!

This is just me, you don't have to go by it.
1: You don't need a fursona
2: If you choose to have won, make it... well, as close to original as possible. (FFF-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGEEEEE!!!! wolves foxes housecats)
3:By the way, don't feel limited to mammals, or any other mainstream animal. Maybe go with an insect such as a praying mantis or worm. Or maybe, so off track, a refrigerator!

Hey I'm Shi nice choice to go for a wolf ^_^ but if your stuck from there just take your time and read around the forum there are lots of ideas you can get :)

My username is the extent to which my fursona is developed. It's just an animal and a colour, and a hint at sexuality.
In honesty, this won't even be my first. I plan on having more than this one. XD
I just can't restrict myself to one!
