I told two friends I am a furry two days ago, I'm not at all ashamed of being furry so I dunno if it was exactly embarrassing. But I was nervous because both girls are card carrying nerds and I've noticed a zealous hatred of furries by some other "non-mainstreamers" who normally are very accepting of EVERYTHING!
But I got an OK reaction and a really positive reaction. So sort of embarrassedproud.

Most of the time I just stuff my shoe-laces inside the shoes, since I hate having to re-tie them every 5 steps, or then i just let them hang (I've never stumbled from that, I tend to stumble more when they're tied and get stuck on the small hooks on the side of the shoes (I wear hiking shoes almost year-round) x-x)
The real embarrassment is when random strangers tie them for me tho x-x So I've tied my "main-shoes" laces in some weird way that they can't be undone without scissors.. >-<
(Yes, there actually is some truth to it when I say I'm only 8 years old xP)

Technically this is more a rant than an embarrassing thing, but I just wanted to show my support Seyka!
I actually did something like this the other day. I was trapped talking to a person at my desk, I had given her a lot of time had not challenged her on several ridiculous assertions and tried to end the conversation multiple times. This is pretty familiar territory and I accept a certain amount as part of representing my employer in a good light, but this woman!
So I actually redirected incoming calls to my phone from the main switchboard line just so I could answer a call to get her to go away.
Putting on a headset was the final straw and she left. *Success paw*

If you go to all this trouble to sort a very small size and shape range of blocks by colour (the easiest differentiation we can natural do by eyeballing a pile of bricks) then you are insane.
A useful sorting machine that sort a wide variety by shape, that would make sense.

Last week while I was wiring up some extra plugs for my buddy's serves I started chewing on the extension cord to my drill.

Yeah, I seemed to skip on mentioning I do that too. Proof of it in itself.
I also tend to talk ahead of myself. In other words, I start talking and the words get spoken before considered. You won't notice it on here, but you will if we chat. I'm just glad I don't do it incredibly often.

Dax, I have mostly the same problem...I sometimes try to talk too fast to where it just comes out as sounds close to the word, or when it's cold out and my face and mouth/lips get too cold and harder to move, I sound like I don't fully say the word cause I'm used to moving my mouth faster, but can't so I sound a tad mental :SI get that problem with the cold too. And my hands become crippled like and I can't really use the joints in my hands

I make expressions in the mirror, decide which ones are the best looking, then try to train myself to use those more so I'll make fewer ugly facial expressions.

I shut down when people remind me of my responsibilities or something I was just going to do, which makes me want to do it less or not at all. I also shut down at criticism, even if it's meant to be helpful…

I dunno where she gets such fussiness...

I don't really have depression symptoms afterwards but I get really anxious /shy/embarrassed. And it's pretty much all the time if I'm not having a panic/anxiety attack. I really try not to but. You know. I can't really help it.

Which is odd when you think about the fact that sitting around in just shorts(which I do from time to time)is practically the same as sitting in just underwear(cause it covers the same area).I'm not very good about getting dressed. After I shower in the evening, I tend to stay naked until the next day.You're so lucky! I wish I lived in my own place, then I would just come home and stop wearing clothes all day.

That reminds me. Years ago, my friends were not allowed to say any words their family thought were even slightly inappropriate (even the word "fart" wasn't allowed!), while in my household I was allowed to use minor swears like "damn" and "shit" moderately. And while jumping on the trampoline in my backyard, one of them slipped out a swear word and they both panicked. I told them it was okay, and later made the trampoline swear-approved territory. Of course, they started abusing this and said swear words so much it got extremely irritating, so I had to make the rule stricter. XD

As for me, I suffer from properly diagnosed OCD, and among other things; I only consume food in odd numbers. E.g. I will eat pretzels if there is 1, 3, 5... etc. in my hand at a time. It gets really furrstrating when I am consuming snacks that are very small and handfuls usually equate to 20 or 30 pieces at a time (like mini M&Ms). I used to be a lot worse, with a wider range of "issues"... but I have learned to control it more.

If I get too excited about something, I lose control of my hands for a short amount of time and end up flailing one of them. It sounds childish, but it's actually subconscious and I have little to no control over it, much to my frustration. It's been the case since I've been a child, and it is awful when in public, because people often notice and say nothing, but give you that look of "..What on Earth..?".
I used to do something like that when I was little only I would tuck my elbows up against my sides and flapp the lower parts of my arms as fast as I could like little wings whenever I got exited. I think it was just a way to burn of the energy I sapose. I finally stopped when I went to the zoo with my friends and family once and was doing it a lot (because lets face it, for a smal child, the zoo is the freaking BOMB) and literally everyone in the group called me out on it and told me to knock it off.

I don't have 0CD, but I do this with even numbers. When I eat an odd number of crackers or something, I have to tell myself the crumbs added up to make it even again.

Very few rare times it is cleaned, less than a day later it's messy again - usually under 12 hours.
It's not garbage that I have lots of it's recycle, just empty plastic bottles, empty food wrappers, paper, packages, bottle caps, at times clothing
So having visitors for me can be a bit embarrassing for me

Yeah, I once did that, placed it on my table (pointy side up), and forgot about it. Then when class ended, one of my classmates came over, and smacked a fly swatter over it, covering it. I don't know why, but I thought it would be fun to smack the fly swatter, as he smacked it down on my table. So I smacked my hand over it, making the metal point go up in my hand ;-;
It didn't go far up (I only got a little hole), but it hurt...

I love to listen. To everything really, but especially to conversations. It's not really eavesdropping, just being aware of what people around me are saying all the time. Sometimes I just sit back and enjoy listening to what those around me have to share.
I know this sounds weird and a bit creepy. But I like it nonetheless.
I do this to. Its an old habbit from the service. I have to mantain situational arwarness otherwise I feel like im being cl8sed in when there's lots of people around me. I also have to sit with my back to a wall

3. I think to much about death and sad things in general. I have a mind that wanders around where I'll be thinking about how hungry I am then remember a Wendy's commercial that looked really good then think of a YouTube video I saw about how the food in commercials is almost always fake and sprayed with water, then I think of why huge actors or celebrities almost always end up doing commercials for probably not a lot of money, then Ill start wondering what Jim Carrey is doing now and why he isn't doing commercials, then I'll imagine what if they made dumb and dumber today about how well received that would be among the public, and I think you see my point. I always stop myself and try retracing my steps back to the original thought which doesn't always work.

Anyway, it seems like I tend to take an all-or-nothing approach to expressing disapproval towards something. It seems like a common problem for people, but I still feel embarrassed when I look back on times when I totally chewed someone out for something that wasn't actually very bad simply because I'd built up a bunch of things I was grumpy at them about.

People here have undoubtedly heard or seen me randomly swap from "litterary accent" or copy people's expletives.
It's not an insult, or an attempt to make fun out of the way someone speaks. I personally guess it's more of a subconcious effort to try to speak someone's "individual language" or make myself more easily understandable towards their vocabulary.
I'm trying my best, but sometimes I can't help it...

I just as happily do it with dialects, if I run into them, and can give people the idea that I'm ridiculing them, whilst I'm actually just trying to relate to the way they talk.
But, it's not all bad either. This tendency may be the reason why I have such an unreasonably large and versatile vocabulary, and am quite quick at learning new languages.

I have to check the door three times after locking it when heading out. But wait, it gets better. Sometimes (not too often), after driving down a few blocks, I have to go back and check it again. I am sure there are times people see me.
My dad is the same way with the garage back door of grandma's house when he does yard work and such. There were times where we left and up to like five minutes later he turned the car around purely to recheck the door. Every time, it already was locked.
Once I realized I forgot my wallet in the middle of shopping.
