Title: Cyberpunk/cybergoth gear
Post by: Nobi on January 09, 2014, 11:57:15 PM
While this isn't necessarily about furry-specific costuming, I thought I'd post it to see if anyone else is into the same stuff I am. :)

Recently, I've been gradually amassing clothes and accessories with a cyberpunk/cybergoth aesthetic in mind. So far, I've got a pair of all-black, Vietnam-era military trousers, as well as several plain black T-shirts (both short sleeve and long sleeve) that I'm basically using as blank "canvases" or bases for my more cybery accessories. In that department, I've got a blue Nodus Cowl from Crisiswear on Etsy, and I've just submitted an order for a blue LED respirator, also from Etsy:

Are any other furs into this sort of thing? I'd love to see the types of gear you have, as well as suggestions on where to get/how to make other cool cybery stuff! ^_^

I'm thinking about spray painting the filter covers blue, so I have a little more blue in my outfit to stand out against all that black. :3

It seems the Steampunk and Cyberpunk communities are often rather intertwined. I have noticed that some of the fashion is very similar, in terms of gas masks, goggles, long coats, etc, but the particular aesthetics of each group are what separate them. Both are equally awesome, of course! ^_^ I'd love to see pics of your gear if and when you get some. :)

Thanks! :D Here's a link to etsy: https://www.etsy.com/ (https://www.etsy.com/)
You can find a lot of independent artists and designers here. Most, if not all the products are custom/handmade, so they're often a bit pricier than what you'd find on amazon, for example. But they're definitely worth it, in my opinion.

And gamer-like stuffs, but i get that from thinkgeek and stuff.
I am curious on why you are so curious?

Because I like specificity, that's all. :P

Anyway, back on topic: I'm gonna go to the military surplus store when I get paid next week and try to get my paws on a pair of goggle. :3
