Title: Looking on the Brighter Side
Post by: Dagmar1177 on September 08, 2015, 01:29:27 AM

Urk. Haven't we had enough of these threads lately?

We've had a straight thread, an asexual thread, a gender thread and a LGBT thread.

All we are concerned about is the problems with being one or the other. All anyone seems to do these days is focus on what's bad about their role in life, they talk about how it's bad being gay, how it's bad being straight, how it's bad being asexual, male, female, trans, cis, all we seem to focus on these days is what's bad, how we're in some way disadvantaged.

You know what? **censor** that, I don't care, I've had enough of that I'm sick of it. I'm not gonna talk about what's bad with being a male, or gay, or a ginger, I don't care.

I'm gonna talk about what's good about being a person and even though I have the flu, and 3 tests coming up next week and because of my flu I couldn't present on something I've been working really hard towards, I still managed to spend the day with some cool people I hadn't really known before. I still managed to taste the awesomeness of sweet chocolate from a kit kat bar, I still managed to listen to some awesome music and I get to hug my wonderful dog.

We always focus on what's bad, and I know for some people there isn't much else to focus on, but I know for me I can focus on what's good and that's what I like.

I like being gay because I've met some awesome friends through the community, I've learned a lot about life and I'm happy to be accepting of myself
I like being ginger cause it means I won't go to hell for being gay cause I have no soul :P
I like being a man cause I don't have to wear makeup and care as much about my looks. Even though I may have to care more about my masculinity, I don't, because I choose not to.

We keep trying to find what's wrong with life, can we once look for what's right?

Yes I'm literally using this Quote as an intro for this thread. Honestly I agree with this post I like coming on here and posting about stuff like what your favorite soda or what your favorite part of your fursona *POOP* like that. I don't mind some of the more serious SH-stuff but is becoming hard, personally, to want to post on some of this stuff (only because some of these I look and am like NOPE). In an effort to aid in the endeavor this thread lets just call it looking on the brighter side of life. Like Tallahassee in Zombieland said "Enjoy the little things."

To start this off it's BLEEPING labor day for me I didn't have to work or go to collage classes today and just waste life on Diablo 3 season 4 with My archon wizzard and I was having this crazy thing called fun. My comission is almost about to be started so I won't have to wait much longer to put up a Forum profile pic that I think is appropriate as a representation of me on here. And Romencon is coming up is coming up so I'll get to got to an awesome anime convention soon and I already had a cosplay thought out that won't be too hard for my first cosplay.
^_^

That quote looks... familiar.

On the brighter side of things: I am now part of a Skype group populated by intelligent, friendly, humorous people from all over the world. I am getting a new headset. One of my favorite shooters of all time (Tribes Ascend) is getting it's first update in two years. I will bear witness to it, and game my heart out with any friends who will join me.

On the brighter side of life I got a thread made about a quote I made xD

Even though technically the quote was sort-of off-topic.

- Had an awesome weekend together with a friend I hadn't seen in ages.
- Been feeling fine and free from migraines.
- The mead I made turned out nice.
- Haven't heard from my mom for quite some time now.
- I'll be able to go to NFC.
- All the other scary issues I've had lately have been sorted out surprisingly well.
- Almost done with my 101% completion playthrough of DK64
- The trailer for the The binding of Isaac: Rebirth DLC/expansion is supposed to come out "next week"

I'm still not feeling fine, but on the brighter side the old tried and true "sick diet" seems to be working ^^ Most of the photophobia (sensitivity to light) is gone too, tho I'm probably better off staying away from the computer/phone today/tonight as well. Hopefully I'll be fine tomorrow.

I'm one of the best students in my physics class. My dad saved my chocolate covered bacon. I might be moving out of this state when I go to college. I might finally go one day without worrying over something sometime within the next 2-4 years.

I may not have a job but on the bright side i don't have to deal with crazy people in retail. Also I can game and screw around to my hearts content. Kinda gets to you a bit though... man this is kinda a neutral post.

Well there's also the fact that i was given a bunch of games in the past few days. So that's pretty cool.
