Any other-hearteds on here? I'm curious, haha. I haven't met a lot of them XD

What is an other-hearted? I've never heard of this.
-
From my Googling, I think it refers to not relating to a species yourself, but wanting to be part of it like family.
Basically, being a regular human.

I think i might be wolfhearted but im not quite sure lol. It's been pretty difficult to figure out if I'm wolf hearted, or if its a theriotype.
Especially because i know at least one of my theriotypes is canine. I suppose i could be both though :P i still have a lot of thinking to do : )

I know this is an older thread but I'm felinehearted. The way that manifests for me is pretty much very close to therianthropy to the point it's confused me a lot. I recommend giving this a read as it explains a lot of how otherheartedness was commonly experienced back in the early days: Common Themes in the Early Animal-hearted Scene (https://web.archive.org/web/20181219174603/http://atlas-of-mossland.tumblr.com/post/170158667209/common-themes-in-the-early-animal-hearted-scene)
In my case, I'm a dog that feels/acts like a feline but isn't a feline (think of how some dogs raised with cats may take on feline behavior & mannerisms alongside its own natural ones). I identify with felines to the point that I am almost a cat.

That's really fascinating. I hadn't heard of Animal-Hearteds before, but reading this makes me think upon how closely I feel myself relating with the humble Chimpanzee; I had spent a lot of time with Chimpanzees, learning their behaviours for a paper, and I feel now a lot of the 'behaviours' I exhibit come closer to a Chimpanzee's, sometimes. I understand them deeply now; I feel like it's a connection closer than scientific. I picture myself often more chimp than man. Maybe it sounds silly to describe it with a Chimpanzee; but really, I think that makes me want to push to explain it all the more. They're not so scary, not more than a tiger, if you know what they're trying to emote with their behaviours. I have much to think about
