Title: A Better Photo Sharing Site
Post by: John Red Beard on April 25, 2017, 12:05:35 AM
I've been using Photobucket for a long time, but it's gotten increasingly clunky and unreliable. For example, the pics in my sig aren't showing up. Does anyone know of any better (preferably free) sites for storing and linking images?

I used Photobucket, but they kept having issues.  Now I use imgur.

I thought Imgur was more of a photo sharing site, like Instagram. I'll check it out.

ETA: So far so good. Thanks for the recommendation!

And I will be looking into this myself as I have had issues with photobucket as of recently as well.

Imgur is quite great!

I gave up on Photobucket years ago when they revoked my "free for life unlimited uploads" thing they'd given me when they updated their service with those paid extra photo storage plans and subscription models and BS (literally dropping me down from "unlimited uploads" to a max of I think it was 5GB ...

I am using postimage. I've been using it since I joined this forum and it seems to work fine ^^

Agreed! imgur is really efficient, and you don't even need an account! It only uploads onto the public gallery if you make an account and put "share to gallery".

Well, Photobucket did work for well-over 14 years (time sure flies...), but if they're acting up this bad, I do need to switch to a new setup.  I'd have to get everything away from there though before moving.

Yeah, it's a huge shame since they used to be the best!
