Title: Question
Post by: RedWoof on August 19, 2018, 02:47:21 AM
Hello,
How come if a thread gets moved, the new thread shows as the person who moved it, so it's an entirely new thread that clutters up the forum?

And why did my double post get merged into one post and then it says I edited it, when I didn't?

Moved thread notifications are removed after a period of time, they remain so that people don't lose the thread.

Double post merging happens automatically if the posts are made within a certain time period.

Also when lots of threads clutter up a board (like General) we sometimes just manually clean it up, but in general as tweak said the new topic is to direct people to the thread for those who didn't realize it was moved.
