Hey! So, I've been planning on making my own fursuits for years but there have been some things that I haven't really been able to find much information for. I was wondering if you had any ideas for the things I'm going to bring up.
1. Fursuit eyes that are removable. Also, changeable eyelids that don't really change the emotion but instead add color, similar to eye makeup looks.
2. Fursuit lips that are customizable. I was thinking about either having them be removable but I wasn't too sure how that would actually work out so another idea would be using liquid latex as a base and then painting over them with something that dries and won't rub off easy.
3. Zipper in the front or the back? I was thinking about having it in the back but now that my main sona has more spots on her back, I was thinking the front but I don't want it to look weird.
4. How do you think removable wings with safety pins would work? I personally don't like the idea of having them be permanent unless you're very sure about that and straps aren't my thing.
What do you guys think? It's been bugging me and I don't know where else to ask!

I think removable wings would do better with heavy duty velcro.

OMG I think I might have found a solution, or at least a compromise, for the eyes! This tutorial from LoblitaWorks can be reworked into what I want for my eyes. Changeable eyelids, eyeline/lashes, expressions, and if it's possible, changeable eyeshine, like the kind kemono eyes have! This is freaking genius!

EDIT: Maybe using both this technique and magnets would also work. Like, if I wanted to have changeable things above the eye as well as on the eye.

For the zipper, I find a front zipper is easier for getting in/out of your suit. If your character has complex markings on the back, it might be best to pop the zipper on the front anyways! Zips don't typically stick out as long as you don't have a short fur pile. I find that even if they do, people tend to pay more attention to your lanyard and badges! (a bandanna will also help to hide a zipper!) ^_^

Okay, so, I saw a fursuit with a zipper in the side. Like, between the belly fur and rest of the fur. It looks cool. I wonder if that could work.

Ooh, that could work! It'd certainly help to hide the zipper. I've never heard of that technique before! I think you should certainly attempt that, and I think I will too on my next bodysuit!
