Title: Life Changing Experience
Post by: iKero-chu™ on February 26, 2008, 02:02:28 PM
Has anyone ever had one of those life Changing Experiences?

I've had a few that changed my perspective and/or motivations in my life and it makes me the person(*cough*Fur*cough*) I am today.

there's my first actual shift, my first dreamshift too of-course, and the moment i decided that i'd rather not shift at all... which was because of a shift at a inconvienient place to say the least, other than those, there is the moment when i moved to Sweden, and im still happy about it, and thats all i can come up with now

for a time i was contemplating suicide, very deep depression, but upon meeting some peoples i realized it wasn't worth it. i still have some of that sunny dispostiongiven to me by them, but stress is wearing it down to normality.

Well... life-changing experiences... I could say I've had a few. Basic Military Training, Advanced Individual Training, being witness to and part of the last time that the Pavelow 4's flew in England are among my list.

Um...
I dont know if this will be life changing...
but it FEELS like it will be....
About 8-9 minitues ago....
I was talking to... my closest friend...
And previously, he had said he had loved me, although we weren't an item, because he loved someone more.
But he has just explained now he's met another, who he loves just as much as the other.
So I said, do you still love me?
(Im Being Blunt) he said no.
There is another whom I love just as much but...Iv lost him...
and now...we're still friends and I still love him...but....Its just hard to take....

The first life changing experience was when I played my first video game, I know it sounds dorky but it really did change everything.

Somewhat similar to the video gaming, the first time I used a computer was definitely something important. Haven't stopped using one since.  :P

i would have to say.. watching Wolf's rain! (anime...)

I really connected with the wolves, and started poking around a lot... i really felt like i wasnt supposed to be human, so i dug around looking at all sorts of werewolf stuff.. .got into paganism, therianthropy... the furry fandom...

:D Wolf's rain really led me to all the things that make up who i really am at heart! Atleast, leading me down the right path to find them.

It may sound dumb and corny, but one of my life changing experiences is finding my mate.. He's helped me through a lot that I couldn't handle on my own; and he still does. When I feel depression kicking in, I know I can turn to him when I need comfort or just someone to talk to. He's been a good influence on my life in general; and who knows if he hadn't been there for me.. I think I can honestly say I probably wouldn't be here. He's accepted me for who I am, ALL of me (Even when I still haven't.), the good and the bad. He reaches down when I'm deep and lost in my own sadness and pulls me out to remind me how great life can be sometimes.

Mmm, One of my life changing experiences occurred when I saw my first ferret at a petstore in Petco. It made me reliaze how much I loved ferrets and in a sense, because I got a pet ferret and started working at the shelter I began to discover how I'm apart of the Furry-dom.

I think the biggest and yet probably most obvious life changing event for me was the realization of being a furry. All my life I've been fascinated by anthro animals and more specifically reptiles and never thought much of it except for maybe I had a sick mind. It wasn't till I learned what a furry was that I woke up almost literally. It changed my outlook on life. I was happy I had the breakthrough but sad because even to this day I don't know anybody else who shares in the fandom.

Video games have always been a large factor in my life, from Asteroids on the 2600 to Call of Duty 4 on the 360 and various computer games as well. I can't recall a single instance in my life where games haven't been involved. All the friends I've ever made have been through games. I have a great friend online who I've known for 8 years and have never met him in real life. We just play games.

Reading my own writing it seems kinda pathetic really but I can't say I've lived a bad life I guess, just a lonely one.

not nice, that's more of an american term. real term would be a fan boy/girl, depending on what you are respectively

wait, do you even know what a otakukin is? its not to offend someone, someone can be a fan, but if they are connected to a character (like a therian to a theriotype), its called a otakukin, but people can be mixed kin too... though i dont believe in otakukin, there are people who do

oh, there's a difference between fanboy and fan btw, a fanboy/fangirl is something thats "overly loyal" and thinks his/her preferation is the best, and tries to prove that point by hating on all the other things connected (at least, thats how it works in the console wars)

Now come to think of it...
Music has changed my life...drums mostly...
I first found the kit and Straight away I could play simple beats,
So I guess I have a natural tuning for percussion, and now I want to be
a drummer and actor when Im older.
I also listen to music EVERY day, and sometimes I play music depending on my mood.

i knows what it means, otaku is an anime fan and kun means kid, usualy a boy. otakuchan would be like a fan girl. my friends and i (rl) just prefer the terms used in genshiken.

((posting as a new reply to stay clear of mega-quote lag))

otakukin and otakukun are 2 different things (kin is the keyword here)
