This is Martha. Martha was cooked to death on the floor of the Athens Mental Asylum in the late seventies/early eighties.

Here's the lesson for all y'all. Get your notebooks out and copy what I put on the chalkboard.

The Stain - The Story of Martha :

The Stain traces back to the late 1970`s when the Hospital was named Athens Mental Health and Retardation Center. The floor in question was formerly a contagious ward to house seriously infected people but was abandoned at the time of the incident. On the 1st of December 1978, a female patient from an open ward disappeared. After realizing the woman's absence the hospital conducted an intensive 3- day search of the building and grounds. The woman was missing. After 6 weeks on January 12th 1979, a maintenance man found the woman's body in the abandoned ward. The coroner estimated she had been dead for "four to five weeks. The hospital "death roster" attributes the 54 year old woman's death to heart failure and records her date of death as 1-11-79. Hospital staff believe she had wandered into the abandoned ward at some time when it was un-locked. Dwelling alone on the floor for some time and being secretive in nature, she hid from those searching. Upon inspecting the ward and not finding the woman, the door was locked from the outside. As days passed with no hope of exit, the woman began to lose hope and prepared to die. She took off all her clothes and folded them neatly on the window sill, and laid down, arms crossed, on the cement floor beneath the tall windows. There the woman died. It was reasoned that the stain, the imprint of the woman's body, was created due to the chemical reaction with here body composition and the direct sunlight from the windows in the weeks she had been missing.

The rest of the history can be found here.

The front of the main building. The cornerstone was long lost after the white deck was built. Martha was found in the West Wing (the right of this building. When you're facing the front of the building you're facing approx. South).

The old TB Ward. Now completely abandoned.

So basically the sunlight cooked her body after she died?
Things like this seem to intrigue me.

When you say Athens, do you mean Athens, Greece, or was it a city in some other country? Or was it just named Athens?

EDIT: Oohps. The link is www.ohiolost.org..... So, I figure it's Athens, Ohio.

Hmm... If I were to die, I'd rather be microwaved afterwards.  It's faster than being cooked in the sun.  :P

About 3/4ths of the way through this video is some more stain stuff. The quality isn't all that good but it's good for now.

Yes I do. As a matter of fact, the original owner of my house died here and I sometimes see him walking from the hallway to the kitchen.
