Okay so heres the deal my lower left one is coming in and part of it is sticking out of my gum, and it hurts alot. The dentist said I prolly won't need mine removed so here is what I need advice with. How do you make it stop hurting?
-
I never actually experienced this, but you could always try to crunch some ice then move the chewed pieces to the place where it hurts, it might just freeze the gum and pain. It's just a random suggestion tough, I doubt it will work, but I don't think you'll lose anything by doing it, right?

Um... When I was getting my wisdom teeth, I chewed gum on my back teeth and put a wet washcloth in the freezer to gum on... Might not work, but you know...

Thanks, it stopped hurting on its own, so thats good, and it only seems to hurt now, when I accidently chew on something that is in that part of my mouth.

Yeah, when my wisdom teeth were coming in, the pain would just come and go once in a while. If it's a constant thing that interferes with your life (making you unable to eat or whatnot) I'd definitely talk to your dentist about it. But, the suggestions made by the others to try and stop the pain temporarily sound like good ideas.

Yeah they do.

The teeth move up and down as it knaws at your gum. That's how mine broke through. It was knawing through the gum. It will happen time after time.

heh..i didn't feel mine come in...but then again they were ingrown or something..had to go for surgery to get them taken out..the doc gased me and knocked me out for the surgery..I had to take Tylenol 3's for a good 2 weeks to hold back and prevent the pain...it hurt like *** then I had the inside of my mouth stitched up where the teeth were pulled..3 in total..although none of them you could see previously..because they were all in grown..but i'm glad it's over...and I had my tonsils taken out when i was like 7 or something o.O

i just took a lot of asprin and chewed gum to counteract the pain.i had one removed one didn't exist and the other 2 came up at the same time after i got braces. all i could eat was noodles, even soggy bread was hard to eat.

well, I might have to get em removed this spring, I still haven't seen my dentist in a while.
