Hello to everyone who happens to join this RP. Sorry for my big words and sophisticated-like typing. It's just how I type... Also, it's hard for me to get the images on here, but each one of the Them-you'll realize what i'm talking about in a minute-has their own pic. Just in case, move the mouse along the words as you read, at lease until I get this problem figured out.
Moving on...
Plot
The main point is to picture the movie 'I am Legend'. A strange wave has surged across the earth, turning all but a select few into vicious cat demons known simply to those left human as 'Them'. These demons, or Them, come in various shapes and sizes, depending on their what they look like or what size they are. {See Below} They roam the streets and alleyways of many cities and towns as well as the forests and jungles of the untouched world, eating what they can find and killing any who cross their path. But remember, just because they survived 'the wave' doesn't mean that those who aren't cat demons weren't unaffected. Stranded in New York, a select group of people, us, have been able to survive 'the wave'. Now all those select few have to do is get past the vicious cats and make it out of the city and hopefully find other people. Can we do it? Lets find out.

An 'Other Form' or an OF is brought on by the result of a person who has been in contact with 'the wave', but has not been turned into a demon cat, though this person has 'another form'. These OF's come in many types and looks; some examples include Half-Them, who are initially them with free will and a sense of whether to do right or wrong. These are half human. Other examples include Sprites, Fairies, vampires, werewolves, ext...So if you want to have an OF, feel free to make one. They come in handy during a fight.

Them
Though it doesn't seem like it, those labeled 'Them' have a unique order, with each having its own specific job or rank. Just down below are the different jobs a Them has. Pictures provided by deviant art and photobucket.
Trackers: Trackers, as their name suggests, are given the job of tracking down food as well as threats, namely humans or other Them that aren't welcome in the city. While they can and do look vicious, Trackers generally don't kill, though they will rough their target up a bit before taking them to be killed. Trackers are also known for their stamina and their ability to go weeks without any water or food, making them the most capable when it comes to their job.

Assassins: Again, the name says all. These are the top killing machines within the Them ranks. These murderous cats specialize in taking down their target with brute force, speed, and incredible strength. However, the have one big weakness-they can't go for long distances and they can't go for very long in a fight. Basically, they tire easily, so the longer you keep one of these brutes going, whether in a fight or running, the better chance you have coming out alive.

Shadow Crawlers: Shadow Crawlers are among the weakest of the Them that you can find, but beware, these little kitties are quick to the draw and will attack, though they rarely have the strength or speed to keep with a fight. They really only serve as servants and patrolling guards to the city or surrounding forests. They will not hesitate to alert another bigger, badder Them if trouble or intruders are spotted. Found plentiful at night and hate the light, so they will keep to the shadows during the day or if a full moon is present.

Fire Walkers: Fire Walkers are the bad boys of the Them ranks. Able to stand almost anything but water in big amounts, these flaming cats are nothing to laugh about. Able to patrol day and night, Fire Walkers will kill anything in its path if provoked, even if it means killing one of their own. Thankfully, Fire Walkers are few and far in between as it takes specific breeding and time to produce and train Fire Walkers. These bad cats mainly hunt during the day, as the sun gives them strength, and their weaknesses are water in sensitive areas, such as the eyes and flanks, and loss of light.

Body Walkers: Beware these seemingly harmless cats. Body Walkers, in simple terms, will possess you and will either help you and your party, turn the host against the party, or walk the body to the higher ups. So watch out for these seemingly innocent black cats. They look like regular cats, act like regular cats, and hang out with regular cats, so it's almost always hard to identify them until they possess you.

Bio: Before the wave, RK was a street performer who performed tricks by lying to people, most people call it street magic. However, after the wave, he had nowhere to go and decided to just travel around in hopes of finding food and shelter. He did find this three times, just to be kicked out of it for his rash actions and annoying mentality, yet no matter how bad he would make something, he would always find a way to fix it, and no one would ever die because he could solve the problems he created.

Ok! I think there's enough to start the RP. Sorry if I wasn't too clear with the 'Person of [Love] Interest'. What I meant was if you had a mate or a boyfriend. Again, sorry about the confusion.
Sherri could feel her hot breath on her face as she made her way through the alleyways of the city. Feeling her way along the alleyway, her fingers brushing the brick and plaster, she followed the path out into the street. Fearfully, she looked around, her eyes meeting nothing but empty streets and starlight, and, assured, she dashed across the street to a dark, looming factory. Her feet burned as she ran and with a great leap, she dove through the doors of the factory. Landing on the concrete floor, she paused, breath harsh and ragged, then froze, looking around. "Hello? Is anyone there?" She shivered fearfully, afraid of what she would find as she moved through the desolate factory.

Rowan exited the building she had been keeping safety in. "Man am I hungry..." She thought aloud. She pulled her coat collar up and covered her face. Her ears twitched every which way at the slightest noise. She continued to walk forward, every few steps looking back, making sure she wasn't being followed. She walked down an Alley to the abandoned food market. "Yes... packaged food." She entered quietly and grabbed what she needed. She stayed hidden while she fed her intense hunger.

Sherri, more confident now, moved about the factory, sniffing. Her nose twitching at every smell, she moved past a row of boxes, cautious, until she came to a large box labeled 'Baked Goods'. Watching for any slightest movement, she gathered her muscles in her legs and leapt into the giant box, landing successfully in a big heap of stale muffins. Warm and surrounded by goods that would undoubtedly supply her with food for at least a week, she fell asleep to the sound of crunching wrappers. The small dark shadow cat crawling by that very box paused, sniffed once, and moved away, unaware of the wolf sleeping in the box of stale pastries.

I quick scurry sounded in the nearby alley. Rowan lifted awake as the sound seemed close. She quickly jumped up high and in the dark, hoping to not be seen. A cat wondered in and sniffed around. It's eerie hiss echoed in the market. It began scurrying across the floor as if it were a snake. Rowan held her breath hoping it would leave without any other curiosity. Her wish came true. The cat fled as the sun began to rise. Rowan got down and ran into the sunlight. "Oh thank heavens... My savior." She sighed as she saluted the sky. She decided to go back to her well-protected home.

Roslin woke at the sound of a loud hiss and claws scraping against the ground as the owner ran to find shelter. Knowing the sound well, she lifted herself from the box, snatching several muffins, and leapt from the box. Paws hitting concrete, she looked to the door and sighed in relief at the sight of the sun. Casually, savoring the sun, she moved across the factory to the door and looked back, watching as several cat demons glared hatefully at her from the darkness. With a final sigh, she stepped out into the sunlight and began her trek to her apartment. But pausing, she tipped her ears forward, hearing a voice calling their thanks to the heavens. Poking her head around a building corner, she spied someone standing nearby. Tired and wary from the night's adventures, she turned, thinking to find her later. With a contented sigh, she shifted the crackling muffin packages in her mouth and scurried away down the street.

Hearing a crinkling package wrapper, Rowan whipped around. "What the..." She muttered. Despite the situation, she let her curiosity get the best of her. She quickly scaled a building and jumped from building to building. Keeping an intent watch on this new being. I thought I was the only one left... she thought to herself stopping and looking over the edge. She dropped down in front of the Wolf. Rowan put her hands up to show respect and her friendly efforts. Her eyes blue eyes glowing in the shadow of the building overhead. "I mean you no harm..." my voice calmly admitted.

Sherri fell forward, her nose in the dirt, and picked herself up, shock overtaking her entirely. She had been forced to dig her claws into the dirt in order to avoid slamming into the other woman. Setting the packages down, shaking from head to toe, she sat back on her haunches and stared at the new comer. And here I was thinking it was just Deep and I... Wary, but calmed by the stranger's friendliness, her tail wagged once and with a loud crack followed by a puff of smoke, she was human. "This is...a bit confusing..." She offered after a long moment of silence.

Rowan stepped backwards slightly. "Your... human?" she laughed lightly. She now stood a little taller than her. She stood straight, her hind legs making her slightly taller. "Well, that's different..." I scratched the back of my head. I picked up the packages with my paw and handed it to her.

Still somewhat shocked, Sherri scratched her head, taking the packages with one hand. "Well, before the wave I was. Now I guess you could call me a half-breed, or something like that." She laughed nervously, shaking her head. She looked up, smoothing her hair back with one hand. Excitement flooded her. "Are there any othe--" Behind the other, something skittered in the darkness. Panic creeping up her spine, she realized that it had been a cat. With a wild yelp and a crack echoing in the alleyway, she sped away down the alley, her tail flying out behind her. "Khat!" She garbled wildly. "Khat!" Turning sharply, trash can's falling, she tripped over a lid and landed in a skittering heap at the end of the alley.

Rowan grinned a toothy smile. "Wanna play?" she growled turning around. The cat hid in the shadow of the building. It let out a long hiss before stepping into the shadow of the building. She stood still, rage flowing through her body. The cat circled cautiously. "I don't bite... much." My fangs grew slightly. As my blue eyes glowed more. The cat lunge at my throat, as Rowan quickly reached out and caught it with her paw. Her nails began to dig into the creatures neck. "Your disgusting..." She snarled. She brought it to her mouth as she tore its throat out. She spit out its flesh and blood. Blood dripped from her mouth as she dropped the mangled body. "That's for killing my brother." She whimpered as she went to find water to wash her mouth with.

Vamp stood sweating from the heat, he had to get this perfectly or it was ruined. 3...2...1...NOW! He flipped the halibut. perfect! the bacteria were dead but the fish wasn't cooked."Nice!" about thirty minutes and a dull knife later, Vamp had created a feast of beauty in his cooking. Halibut sushi, Miso soup, Beef Ramen, and a green salad. acompanying the meal was abottle of warm sakè. He was underage, but after the wave, who cared? "Deep, Sherri, lunch. by the way could you try to salvage me a new knife?

Deep, sleeping nearby with his tail curled over his nose, huffed and stood, stretching his legs. His spine gave several pops, the vertebrae straightening themselves, and he sauntered over to the meal. A thick line of droll ran down his jaw and he turned to look away, composing himself. When he turned back, his face was clean. Then, turning, he looked over his shoulder, searching for the brown wolf. Finding that the massive tunnel was empty save for Vamp and himself, he gave a low whine, his ears dropping back.

Sherri picked herself up from the trashcan pile, shaking herself out. As she made to follow the other wolf, she paused. Her earpiece crackled with another voice and instantly she realized that it was Vamp, calling her to lunch. Barking in the direction that the other wolf had gone in, she trotted down the alley and, sure that the packaged muffins were safe in her grip, and she turned tail and ran up the road, her long strides carrying her far. By the time she had reached the tunnel, she was out of breath and foam frothed at her mouth. Trotting past Deep, she flopped down by the Halibut sushi, the muffins dropping from her grip, and lay panting in the dust. "I met someone....and it wasn't a cat either!" She said quietly when she was human. Deep settled down next to her, digging into his Miso.

Rowan's ears perked as the bark traveled down the alley. She sniffed the air and followed the scent. She decided it would be quicker to run on all fours. She went feral and bolted down the street. Rowan slowed to a stop as her nose met the pavement. She sniffed it long and in various places. "This way" She muttered running in the direction of the tunnel. Stopping in front of the tunnel's entrance, she let out a low howl. It echoed down and to the eating place of Deep, Vamp, and Sherri. Rowan stood back up and brushed herself off. Her tail swayed, gently fanning herself after a long hard run. She sat in the tunnel hoping to stay out of sight, while waiting for a response of some sort.

Deep, having heard the howl, stood slowly. His hackles raised, he bared his teeth, but was reprimanded quickly by the hand twisting his tail. Yelping sharply, she stood and tore down the tunnel, seeking shelter from his raging mate. Skidding to a stop at the tunnel, he observed the other figure carefully before letting out a low, friendly growl and turned, trotting back down the tunnel, looking back only once to see if the other would follow.

Rowan turned and looked at the male. She quickly got up and followed, hoping to not lose his trail. She saw a light at the end of the tunnel and hesitate but pressed onward. "Hello?" Her voice cooed.

Vamp readied himself and sprinted down the tunnel, Desert Eagle in hand. He followed Sherri and Deep as he locked the slides on his firearms, midstride. "What was that?" Vamp inquired?

Rowan stopped at the sound of another coming down the tunnel. She froze and shook lightly. Her eyes shut tightly as she bit her bottom lip waiting for impact. As she got low to the ground the foot steps grew closer.

Sherri, having recognized the figure from before, stood abruptly and ran to catch up with Vamp. Clamping her teeth around the back of his coat, her furry tail hit the concrete of the tunnel floor. Looking to Deep, she barked something from the corner of her mouth, which stopped the other wolf completely. Deep, looking surprised, stopped and with a crack, he was human. Looking to Vamp, he called. "Sherri says she knows her!" Turning back down the tunnel, the former wolf took his halibut sushi and began to lick it.

Rowan sat quivering slightly. "I don't mean any harm" She whimpered as the male came to a stop.

Vamp muttered something in japanese and turned to Rowan " Sorry I'm just very edgy since the Wave" he lowered his Desert Eagles.

Rowan stood and nodded. "I can understand that..." She held her left arm in front of her as her tail wrapped around her. "Am I allowed through?" She asked calmly.

Kistrev clambered down the side of the wall, looking out both for them and any survivors, both where hostile to him, he perked his feline ears back and listened to the silence... "perfect" ... he leapt to the next wall, wearing only 3quarter lenght jeans he clung to the other building, letting himslef slide to ground level, from there he prowled the street, keeping to the shadows...

Vamp passed out the sakè and got Rowan some Sushi and Ramen along with her sakè. "So, a new member of the family, eh?" Vamp said as he lit a strawberry cigar "What happened to you after the Wave?"

"I lost my brother last week..." she muttered softly. "He and I were the only ones to survive of our family." She drank some sake and threw a piece of sushi in her mouth. "My Boyfriend was the next to go..." She looked up and stopped. "Did you all survive together?" She asked curiously.

"Deep and Sherri knew each other before the Wave and took refuge in this restraunt were I was living and so, iI make the food, Sherri gets supplies, and Deep hunts Them. But I help sometimes hunt. But you are welcome to stay and live with us."

"That's very kind of you," She thanks, smiling. Her glowing a dim green, she picked up her ramen and ate it contently.

"Enjoy, there is more Ramen and sakè" Vamp said

Rowan nodded in thanks and finished her ramen. She reached up and fixed the large earring in her long ear. "darn it..." she softly whispered. She continued fixing the multiple bars. She looked at her paws and saw that her fur was not clean from the cat she had killed. "Uh, may I barrow your sink..." she asked quickly.

"Yeah, go on ahead."

She walks over to the sink and scrubs her paws. Damn it... it's not coming off... "Uh... I never got your name... And can you help me with something?" she asked slightly embarrassed.

"Names Vamp. And what do ya need help with" Vamp replied kindly.

"Do you have a bathroom... I'm nervous to say aloud..." She looked at him helplessly. "I promise you.. Its nothing bad." Rowan stood with her hands dripping, trying to hide the stains. The fur around her mouth was clean from the immediate washing of the blood. She smiled half heartily.

"Yeah, down the hall first door on the left. I'm also going to make some knives for you if ya want" Vamp replied

"Uh... alright," Rowan shrugged. "Thank you.. now please assist me Vamp..." She smirked slightly. Rowan went down the hall and into the bathroom. "Damn it... why wont this come off!" She growled lowly.

Sherri looked up from the last of her sushi, a piece of fish still stuck to her face. Moving the back of her hand over her face, it was gone. Getting to her feet, she stretched and moved down the hall and out into the sunlight. Taking her time, she moved along the rows of abandoned buildings, looking here and there, sometimes spotting one of Them in the shadows, hissing at her, but knowing she was safe in the sunlight, she moved along. At last she came to an older building. Sighing, memories surfacing, she moved along past her childhood home to the park. As she made a move toward the swings, she paused, something catching her eye. Turning, she caught sight of a flash of a long cat tail in the shadows and ears pricked and alert. Shifting to her lupine form, she dashed through the sand and across the street to the shadowy corner. "Come out, Cat!" She barked to the shadows, snarling in rage.

Meanwhile in the bathroom...
"Here, try this" Vamp handed Rowan a small bottle of oderous clear liquid. As she washed her hands with the liquid the blood almost ran from the effectivness of the cleaner.

"Thanks," she said to him with a smile. "I'm going out for a walk."She exited the building and walked along the broken homes. Cats peering out of the windows, hissing at her every move. Rowan growled back teasingly. She looked down at her hands and could only think of her brother. His smile burned in her memory. Why did you protect me... She let out a long sigh and continued onward. She saw the female wolf dart across the street. "hey! wait up!" She shouted before darting after her. She stopped quickly. She looked down at her shadow and noticed that it was slowly moving upward. She turned around and saw the sun setting behind the horizon. "HEY! Come on! It's too dangerous out here in the dark!" she warned shouting. Her eyes getting brighter with fear.

Sherri, raged, flew into the darkness with surprising speed, leaping over one dark Shadow Crawler that darted for her and she made to close her teeth around the brown cat's tail, but missed. Teeth closing with a loud click, she howled angrily and leapt back as a dark cat shot past her. Snarling, she turned, trotting back to the alley and the waiting wolf. But as she reached the touch of fading sun light, she gave a pained howl and spun in time to see a dark cat, pulling it's paw back from where it had struck her tail. Feeling to exact her revenge, she turned back to the alley, but as she did so, a much bigger shadow stirred at the end of the alleyway. Tucking her wounded tail to her side, her hackles raised, she gave a low huff and growled at the massive shadow, which returned the gesture with a snarl of rage. Fearfully, Sherri turned and trotted back up the darkening road, looking back once to see if the other wolf was behind her. As she did so, she watched as the massive black and white striped demon cat trotted to the edge of the alleyway, its eyes boiling with rage.

Rowan watched carefully at what was happening. The fur on her rose as she grew angry as the cats taunted the female wolf. She stood angrily. She let out a low growl as she bared her white fangs. She wen ton all fours and darted at the massive cat. She slashed at it and tore at its flesh. Rowan stood back up and looked a the now frightened, bleeding creature. She lets out a terrifying bark as the cat scurried away. Turning around and running out of the alley, she saw the female. "You alright?" She asked, concerned. She eyed the tail and looked back at the female. "I'm Rowan by the way..." She said calmly. She walked down the darkening street. "We should hurry... I don't want to be here when that cat brings back up." she laughed as she went to the tunnel and awaited the other wolf.

"Hey, wait!" Vamp screamed he grabbed Rowan's shoulder and through three wet throwing knives into a shadow. a moment later a Fire Walker fell from the shadows with a knife in it's shoulderand one in each eye. It was keeled over howling.

Rowan entered the building. "Thanks for before..." She thanked with a warm smile. "I need more of that stuff... I ran into another one of 'them'" she laughed. "I can feel the blood on my skin this time... Do you have a scrub brush that you don't mind me using?" I asked looking at him, my eyes glowing beautifully in the setting sunlight that beamed through slightly covered windows.

"Yeah, here"Vamp replied. He handed Rowan the bottle of the clear cleaner "Bleach and Lighter fluid, nothing better."

She caught it and smiled. "Thanks," she cooed and ran to the bathroom. She returned in five minutes with clean paws. "So... What do you do at night? I mean.. what kind of protection?" I asked looking out the window, pulling back the shades slightly.

"I put thermal foam over the windows. Then there are some claymore mines that we have set up." Vamp answered "But we only have a couple mines."

Rowan hesitated a smile. "Ah, well that's good. It beats where I was staying..." she said with a yawn. "I haven't slept since the last trace of meat 'They' could find disappeared." Stretching, she walked over to the couch and sat. She lay her tail on her lap and stroked it gently. I miss you brother... It's hard without you. And I miss you my love... rest well... she thought to herself, a sad expression striking her face.

Vamp looked at Rowan with sorrow in his heart. "Rowan, you can sleep in my bed tonight, I'll sleep on the couch." he remarked "You just relax. Okay?"

Rowan looked up at him. "Oh, I don't want to put you out..." she said calmly. "I don't think I'm going to be sleeping much anyway." She joked. She got up and touched his shoulder, before walking off to the bathroom to wash up.

"It's really no bother at all. Please make your self at home. Really." Vamp said

The shower turned off after a while. Rowan stepped out with a towel wrapped around her. "Uhh... your room is?" She smiled slightly blushing.

"Next to Deep and Sherri's room right there. There are also some T-shirts you can wear."

She smiled slightly and entered his room. She hung her towel on the door and found a folded T-shirt on the bed. After getting dressed she went back out to the couch. "Thank you," She said to Vamp gently kissing his cheek in thanks. She went and curled up on the couch, yawning.

As Rowan dozed of, Vamp whispered "Your always welcome." as he glanced at he slender, alluring figure curled up in quiet tranquility and glanced out the window as the last shimmering rays of light faded to Oblivion for the night. He taped up the foam, armed the mines outside the tunnel and went on to his own lucid slumber.

Rowan arose warily. "Where am I?" She held her head as she remembered. She walked to the window and peeked through a small opening. Cats were crawling all over the streets hissing and scratching, biting, at each other for food. A cat glanced up, as Rowan flew backwards and fell over something, landing hard on the floor with a loud thud. "Ah, damn it," she whispered trying not to wake anyone. She lay there on the ground, frustrated and frightened.

Vamp woke to a thud on the floor in the makeshift living room. He hurried out in cargo pants and a T-shirt. "Oh, jeez. You okay" he asked helping Rowan to her feet.

i stood up against a wall in the factory and started to carve my dagger. -sigh-

She smirked, "Yea, I was just startled... I think a cat saw me...." She looked at him slightly worried. Her ears went back, touching the middle of her back. Her eyes glowing dimly in the dark living room. Rowan smiled and brushed herself off. "What time is it?" She asked looking around, her ears perking back up. The T-shirt hung off her left shoulder, as she pulled her hair back into a half ponytail.

"my clock in the room says about..." Vamp answered,leaning to get a better look "...9:38 in the a.m." he smiled. "want some breakfast? The smell should get those two up." he said nodding his head to Sherri and Deep's closed door."

"Sure," She smiled. She sat at the table, pulling her legs up and crossing them. She stretched to wake up her muscles as she yawned slightly. "Do you have mouth wash?" She laughed her arm grabbing the back of her head, as she smiled.

i dropped my dagger down into a vent, i can hear it land hard. i go down to the vent "GOD **** IT" I sigh and roll my eyes. i can hear the the wast people talking " i hope to god or satant,whoever, they dont take my dagger." i get up

"Yeah, on my dresser in my bedroom." Vamp replied

"Thank you!" She got up quickly, a little too quickly and tripped over herself. "god... I need to stop doing that," she laughed. She stood up and ran to get the mouth wash. "Come to mama" She said stretching to reach it. She finally grabbed it and ran into the bathroom. She return with minty breath and shiny white teeth. She ran into Vamp's room and put it on the dresser. Slowly walking out, she smiled at Vamp. "That's much better."

i try to be quite and get my dagger while i hear the people talk about death but it dosent bother me. "come to mama.." i finaly get it and get out of there due to the fact i need to keep moving. i reach a building and stand there to get my breath, i still keep a look out for anyone or thing.

"You would not believe, out of all things, how hard mouthwash was to find after the Wave" Vamp laughed as he flipped a ham and chesse omlette in the air, landing it expertly in the pan.

She smiled warmly. "Well, I didn't use too much." She joked. Rising, she wandered over to the stove and sat on the counter next to Vamp. "You're very skilled with the pan..." She giggled.

Rowan's large ears twitch at the sound of knocking. "May I answer it?" she asked looking at Vamp. "I don't think one of 'Them' would knock..." Her ears lay back again. She pulled one to the side and adjusted the bar piercing.

Sherri woke to the smell of eggs. Rolling out of bed, careful not to wake Deep, she moved across the room and out the door as quietly as she could. Wearing a baggy T-shirt and a pair of shorts, she made her way past the bathroom and into the main part of the restaurant. Upon seeing Vamp, she chirped a "Good Morning!" and moved past the cooking wolf, reaching into a cabinet nearby. Her hand touched glass and she pulled out several plates, grabbing an extra upon hearing the insistent knocking at the door. "The family just keeps getting bigger these days." She commented cheerfully, grabbing several cups from above. Setting her bundle on the counter, the cups atop the small stack of plates, she reached into a drawer to the left of Vamp and pulled out a handful of knives and forks. Setting these with her bundle, she moved to a table across the hall from the kitchen and began to set the table. When she was done, she moved back to the kitchen, leaning on the counter next to the stove. Her eyes followed the omlette. "I wasn't entirely sure, so I set an extra place for whoever that is at the door."

Rowan smiled and hoped down. She ran over ot the door and opened it slowly. "Hello?" She asked hoping to get a response instead of a hiss. She saw the paws of another wolf. "uh... Hi" She said hiding the shock and excitement that had just flooded her body.

Kistrev jumped up onto the roof top, rolling up a catnip joint he took a long drag, looking out over the city.... throwing the rollup away he jumped down into the alley way and slinked along it....

"Breakfast, is ready."Vamp said as he came from the stove with 5 delicious looking omlettes

Rowan smiled and opened the door, allowing the female to enter. "Oh, goodie!" She called. Skipping to the table, she sat next to Vamp and began to eat her omelet.

Kistrev jumped onto a car, and then to the next.... the cars stood silent on the roads, as he sprinted across the open ground.....

Vamp closed the door and handed the wet female wolf a towel "There's extra food if your hungry." he said to the wolf, ashe went to, almost literaly, drag Deep out of bed.

Kistrev ran, dodged and jumped.... he landed on the large cat them, pinning it to the ground with his knife... jumping on he ran and scaled the side of a building....

Rowan stood and put her plate in the sink. "I'm going out... I'll be back soon." She said. She went to Vamp's room and put her tight, black shorts and her yellow strapless top. She grabbed a dagger and slipped it into her thigh holster. She opened the door and walked out. "There has to be a lake of some sort around here somewhere...." She sighed looking around and walking in the direction of the Park.

Deep, still lost in sleep and wrapped burrito-style in the blankets, clung to his pillow in a death grip. He was unaware of the omlette waiting for him within the depths of the kitchen.

"I'll come with you. Maybe we can catch some fish." Vamp said as he put on his gun holster. He loaded his magnum revolver and tossed a Desert Eagle to Rowan.

"Thanks," She smiled, putting the gun into the other loop.They both walked into the park. Dead cat bodies were mangled and half eaten. "I'm guessing they decided to eat the weak, and that they don't know how to fish..." She joked, chuckling softly. The sun lit up her eyes as she let out a deep sigh.

"Yeah. Anyway let's keep moving." Vamp replied as he handed Rowan a suppresser.

She looked at him. "You don't joke much... do you?" She asked looking at the ground.

"I save jokes mostly for when I know I won't get eaten," he chuckled. “Or when I'm drunk on sakè.â€

She smiled and let out a sigh. "Do you ever have the feeling that your alone.. even when surrounded by someone.." she looked at the ground and kicked a small rock.

Vamp looked at th rising sun and thought deeply "Yes, all to often," he answered as he blinked back some tears. "At least before you came into the family." he smiled.

Rowan's eyes flickered up, as her head whipped up. "Really?" She asked, slightly shocked and confused. She looked back at the ground and began to think. What is he saying? I just met him... but I feel a connection to him... I wish you were hear Shadow The image of her loving brother popped into her mind as a trickling tear hit the dry concrete of the sidewalk.

Vamp put his hand on her shoulder "You okay?" he asked in a soothing voice as he offered a bandana to her that he recoved from his pocket.

"Oh, yea... I'm fine," she smiled, "I'm just looking for some advice from my brother... I know it's crazy but I feel like he's helping me.. even though he isn't here..." She took the bandanna and tied it around her hand. She looks at him happily. "If you don't mind, I think it looks cool..." She uncoils the bandanna and hands it back to him. "Thank you though." She continued walking. Spotting the Lake, she darted and with a large splash she was swimming.

After a few hours of swimming. Vamp and Rowan left the lake. laughing and wet. "That was fun." he said as he wrung out his shirt.

Rowan smiled. "Yea, It's forever that I've enjoyed life like that." She pulled her shirt off, her bra revealed. She tightly rung out her shirt and hung it on a tree to dry. "Sorry for my indecency. I hate tops that are soaked." She blushed and sat behind a large tree. Above her was a heart that was carved into the side. She stood and moved her fingers along the carved names. It read RC + CD. She smiled as a tear trickled down her face. She quickly wiped it away and sniffled.

"Here, use this." Vamp said as he put his dry coat over her shoulders

Rowan's eyes brightened at his generosity. "Why are you so kind to me? For all you and I know, I could have some crazy defect..." she muttered softly. Her tone gave off a serious atmosphere. "I mean... any of use could be affected by the wave." Her eyes showed the doubt she felt in her body. She slumped over, sitting on the ground. She hugged her knees close to her body. "Is there any hope for us..." She stared blankly, her tone unchanged. It gave off a consistent feeling of doubt and fear.

"We were all already affected by the Wave, not all of us phisicaly, but emotionaly." he replied "Besides, we can't have you running around in your underwear, now can we?" he continued chuckling

She looked at him shrugged, "I suppose. But its not like I do it every day." She began to smile as the sun warmed her face. She stood and put on her shirt that was now dry. She handed Vamp his coat back and pulled out her dagger. "Shall we fish?" She went down by the water and went knee deep.

Kistrev jumped to the second roof, the sun was starting to go down, in a few hours it would be dark... standing on the roof he looked out to a nearby lake, the sunlight dazzling, taking thr last dregs of his catnip joint he tossed it down onto the street, sitting he looked out at the lake, somthing seemed to be going in around knee-deep, he tried to discern what it was, through the dazzling sunlight...

Sherri trailed through the woods, her ears perked, her step relaxed. Several steps behind her, she could make out Deep's heavy, relaxed step and she was content. With the pantry secure and all their 'groceries' taken care of, locked away at the restaurant, she realized that there was no need to worry today. Today's a day to relax... She had said to Deep upon leaving the house and it was just what she intended to do before she was forced to return home as darkness, and the cats, crawled out and darkened the streets. After a time, and with little conversation passing between the two, she came to a large rock overlooking a massive hole. With a breath, she jumped in, Deep just behind her, and together they fell and landed in a dark chasm. Excited, she ran forward and out into another cave. This one was light and airy, with glowing, warmed rocks placed about. In the center was a large, clear pool with fish swimming about. Happy, she tore off her shirt and leapt into the pool, waves lapping at the sand. Without a thought of darkness or cats in her head, she swam, chasing Deep through the water.

Slash...splash..."dammit," Slash, shlick, "Yes! Got one." Vamp said, noticeing a slight figure on the roof of a building "Hey, Rowan. Do you see that?" he asked.

one of the figures was,... uh?... what was he, or she for that matter, doing.... it was hard to make it out in the dazzling light from the water.....
he lit another catnip joint as he squinted down at them...

Rowan smiled as she took out her gun and shot a fish. "Sorry... I get really frustrated." She quickly whipped around and saw that figure. Her ears went back, and her teeth bared. She let out a low growl. "It looks like a cat... But it's in the sunlight..." She darted out of the water and went on all fours. She ran towards the city and to the building. "Hey! You up there!" She barked up. She stood back up. she walked over to the building, her gun and dagger in her thigh holster.

*Kistrev ducked down below the edge of the building..... survivors, god why? theyd kill him for sure.... He peered over the edge holding both hands open and empty watching in case the figure pulled out the gun on its thigh... he jumped down into the side alley beside the building, he slinked out staying in the shadow of the building, holding both hands up.... he tried opening his mouth and telling them who he was.... but having lived a life of solitude for so long, his voice unacostumed to talking gave up on him, instead he hung shyly in the shadow, half crouched looking out at the imposing figure....*

"Hey, you! Who are?" Vamp said, as he undid the saftey on his Desert Eagle, without any obvious movements.

Rowan held out her arm and stopped Vamp. "I got this... They tend to fear me..." She growled. She entered the shade of the building in the alleyway. "I wont hurt you..." She approached him carefully.

"uh".... "my name, is Kistrev" *his english reasonable but obviously unused Kistrev made no movement towards the two neither did he back away at all..* "sorry, it is just that, many try to kill me, because i look like them...." *he backed away slightly from Rowan as she approached..*

She stopped abruptly. "I understand your a cat... That's obvious. Why do you linger in the shadows if you aren't one?" She growled, trying to calm her tone

Vamp called over from the edge of the lake "Don't worry, wetake in survivors. We won't hurt you." he said as he jogged up next to Rowan.

Rowan smiled and crossed her arms. Her tail flicked back and forth.

*Kistrev slowly edged into the light, showing a person who had led a life alone, and hunted.... his clothes minimal and ragged, his fur matted and his ear cut and bleeding lightly...* "i linger merely to hide" *he cocked his head on one side* "you really will not try to kill me? many do, when i tried to find others..."

"I will not kill you. I only kill 'Them'. And you don't have the presence of one." She soothed. Her tone softened. "Would you like to fish with us?" She asked kindly, a warm smile stretching across her face.

"Of course! The only thing we kill are Them, and bottles of sakè" he laughed, looking at Rowan.

*Kistrev limped over to the other standing in front of him, leaning on the car he looked up at her....* "you know my name, yet yours i know not..." *he cocked his head looking inquisitvely up at her, his still bleeding ear dripping onto the hood of the car* ..... "and if it means getting somthing to eat, i will fish with you, yes..." *he looked confused at the others joke about sakè*

She smiled, "I'm Rowan. And of course you will eat. You will eat well If you stay with us." She stepped into the light and offered her hand. Her eyes crystal blue eyes gleaming in the sun light. "You're hurt. Let me help you."

*he pulled away defensively at her hand, looking scared....* i know i am hurt, you think i do not know this? i am fine, with the way i have lived it has been much worse" *he attempted to stand up from the car, and his leg gave way slightly.... the large gash in it, obviously caused by them jaws was visible.... he looked back up at rowan, shame in his face*

She looked at him with sorrow. "I want to help you..." She continued to hold out her hand. Her tail fell limp as she let out a soft whimper. Her ears lay back.

"We have a home, We will keep you safe." She said taking his hand. She helped him up and smiled warmly.

"That is Vamp. He took me in after we met." She smiled and looked over at Vamp. Vamp waved and smiled at Kistrev. "Well, I hope that you will let me help you..." She said eying his wounded leg.

*kistrev sat up onto the hood of a nearby parked car, showing his leg to rowan... the large bite wound was reasonably fresh, but did not bleed excesively....* "i also have cut on my ear, it is most reasent, but is fine" *he showed her the bleeding cut in his furred feline ear*

"You'll have to come back to the house with me..." She looked at him and turned to Vamp. "I need a needle and some medical thread." She shouted over to him. He ran up and helped Kistrev down. He looked at Rowan and smiled. "It's in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. I'm going to catch more fish." He said, as he nodded hello to Kistrev. "Alright, Thank you..." She looked back at Kistrev. "Ya ready to go?"

Rowan took his arm and put it around her shoulder to help support him. "Alright. It's not too far from here." She helped him to the tunnel as they walked down it. They finally reached the door as she unlocked it with her claw. "Just sit here on the couch. I'll go get the supplies. Do you want a cup of Sake to help easy the pain that you might endure..." She asked walking into the bathroom and grabbing the thread and needle.

*he looked at the large needle... fear flashed across his face, he took out his two only possesions, a bag on catnip and a hipflask of hurskovica (slovakian pear brandy) he took several large swigs from the flask, before sitting back, watching her with a sign of interest on his face*

She smiled and knelt down beside his leg. "Tell me when you need a break from the stitching." She said before she began. She took a cotton ball and dabbed it in rubbing alcohol. "This may sting." She warned dabbing the wound with the cotton ball. She threaded the needle and held it in her mouth. "So, how long have you been livin' alone?" She asked through clenched teeth. She took the needle in hand and began to sew up his wound. She went slow. It had been a while since she had sewn up a wound.

*he winced as she pulled the stitching* "heh, you know, i do not even remember any more... so much time running.... all i remember is running and surviving, is all i could do till i met you..." *he winced lightly again, looking round the room he as in...*

Sherri, exhausted by the day's swim, stood, stretching her back, satisfied when it popped, and moved out of the water. Dressing, she woke deep and quietly the two made their way back to the restaurant. Upon opening the door she became aware of the scent of cat in the house. Her hackles rose, then fell as she realized that the smell was not bitter and cold as it was with Them. Throwing her jacket over a chair, she raised her voice and called out. "Hello? Rowan, Vamp, I'm back!"

"I can understand that... I was doing what you were doing after I lost my brother and mate." She said saddened. She continued to stitch up his wound. "I may have to go over it once more to assure correct healing. Is that alright with you?" she asked. She stood up and greeted Sherri. "How was your day of relaxation?" she smiled. She turned and continued working on Kistrev.

Sherri nodded, absorbed in the strange cat. "Quiet..." She murmured in response, then, smiling warmly, she turned to the visitor. "Well, I guess I should say welcome to our growing family!"

Rowan chuckled and smiled. "This is Kistrev." She bit the thread and re-threaded the needle. "I'm gonna redo it once more... you might want to take a couple more swigs. This one is going to hurt a little more." She warned.

Holding out a hand, Sherri smiled. "It's nice to meet you Kistrev! I'm Sherri, one of the several resident wolves here." She eyed the needle and winced sympathetically. "Ouch, sorry man..."

Rowan applied some more rubbing alcohol and began to stitch again, the threads closer and tighter. "He ran in to one of 'Them', so I'm fixing it." She said concentrating on her work.

*Kistrev looked at the profered hand then shook it, he winced again as Rowan pulled another stitch, he looked up at Sherri quietly, unable to speak from his broken and ilused english*

Sherri, smiling shyly, waved her hand behind her, where her tail would have been if she had been a wolf in that instant. "I think we all know what THAT feels like. My tail's still smarting." She laughed quietly at her own humor and turned to the kitchen, looking back at the two. "I can fix something to eat...."

"Sounds good. Vamp is down at the Lake, fishing. He'll be back soon." She said looking over at Sherri. She looked down at the wound and pulled another tight stitch.

Nodding, Sherri looked to the kitchen and back; already thinking of what to make with the fish. "Well...Kistrev, is there anything specific that you might like done with the fish?"

Rowan pulled a couple more stitches tightly. "Alright... that should do it.." She smiled and stood. She took another cotton ball and applied rubbing alcohol to Kistrev's ear. "Sorry if it stings."

Sherri shrugged and moved to the kitchen, where she began to prepare the table.

"If you'd like, you may use the shower to clean up." Rowan smiled cleaning up her supplies. She walks to the bathroom to put away everything. "Uh, can you boil a small pot of water Sherri, please?"

*Kistrev looked confused at Rowan* "i am sorry, but i dont know what you mean.... a shower?" *he looked at her trying to hide his embarresement...*

"Yes.. a shower." She smiled holding the bloodied needle. She put on a small pot of water to sterilize the needle. "You'll feel much better. Plus, you'll be able to rinse off the small blood the needle produced."

"I have to go out... I'll be back soon," Rowan said to everyone. The sun was beginning to set, but that didn't stop her. Vamp entered the restaurant. "I got fish!" He said happily. Rowan walked by him and smiled. "Good Job." She made her way out of the tunnel and to the empty, darkening street. "Now, where is that god for saken building..." She said lowly to herself. She continued, looking around, making sure no one was following her.

Kistrev stripped himself of his worn, ragged clothes and stepped into the shower, the warm water pleasent after the weeks of running.... he let his head roll back, water playing across his face, stinging lightly in his cut ear and leg.... after stepping out he wrapped himself in one of the many white dressing gouns and stepped out into the kitchen, quietly, and shyly walking across the tiled floor...

"Ah, there it is.." She said looking up at her old home. She ran up stairs and grabbed some clothing that had been left by her brother. "I miss you, I hope this is ok with you." She grabbed pants and a T-shirt for him. She went down the stairs and saw a cat dart in front of her. "Wanna play?" She growled pulling out her dagger. She quickly left the building. "I have 10 minutes... hope I make it." She said running down the street.

*Kistrev sat down on a couch, his still wet fur dripping.... he pulled at his tail while he waited nervously, unsure as to what to do....*

Rowan returned with clothes for Kistrev. "Here... I hope they fit..." She said smiling. She tossed them at him and sat down on the couch.

*Kistrev sized them up, they where slightly too large, obviously not made for a small 16 year old but they would fit better than the rags he had been wearing.... he went into the bathroom and changed into them, he came out feeling reasonably clean and refreshed, the top was slightly baggy, and the pants which where meant to be short, where around three quarter length on him, but he didnt fuss, he walked over to Rowan, nervously flicking his tail...*

Sherri glared at the bathroom door, growling quietly as she listened to Deep sing obnoxiously to himself. Turning, she spied Kistrev leaving another bathroom. Running to him with the kindest smile she could muster, she spoke. "Can I use that bathroom?"

*Kistrev looked shyly up at her, and stood aside nodding and quietly adding....* "yes, is okay for you to use" *he walked over to where rowan sat....*

She looked over at Kistrev. "I'm sorry they're a little too big... They're all I had.." she apologized smiling. "I suppose they'll have to do though.." She laughed and moved over a little so he could sit comfortably.

*He sat down beside her, he pulled out his old knife, twirling it expertly with his fingers, swapping from one hand to the other with ease... the small slovakian crest and panther on the blade flashing in the light as the knife twirled and span....*

"Careful with that." She said, jokingly flinching away. She smiled and looked around the room. The scent from the clothes lingered next to her. Her eyes became teary.

"Are you ok? if it is the knife I stop!" *he set the knife away looking at her confused and worried...*

"No, I'm fine." She chuckled. "The scent from the clothes remind me of my brother..."

*Kistrev looked at Rowan, sadness filling his eyes* "i had brother too, and two sisters.... i had large family,back home..."

"Yes, well I watched my brother be pulled apart by 'Them'... he was protecting me." Rowan looked at him and grinned half a smile.

*Kistrev seemed to draw into himself as he spoke* "my family died before them came.... they starved to death in slovakia..... i left with my brother, i do not know what happened to him....." *he looked up at Rowan, noticing how much older she seemed, he pulled his legs up onto the couch, drawing his knees up to his chin*

Orin was just strolling around, scars adorning his body, showing how many close calls he got into with the cat demons. He wasn't satisfied with being stronger than a bunch of tabbies...so he decided to find someone he could offer his strength to. "being powerful is nice and all, but since these things won't be subservient to me...its just pointless power..." he said to himself as he entered a building that looked like someone was already living there.

Rowan looked at him. "I'm so sorry." Rowan looked at the door. "I'll be back later... I need to go get some stuff." She said as she quickly ran out of the house. She walked down the road slowly. Street lights flickered on. She crossed her arms, holding herself. She walked to the building she had been staying in with her brother. She entered and walked up the stairs quietly.

*Kistrev watched her leave, he felt lonely again, he stood up and wandered around the place, sticking his nose into the nooks and crannies, he lay down on the couch, humming to himself, looking over the stitching in his leg....*

Rowan continued walking up the stairs. A scent lingered, and unfamiliar scent. Her nose went frantic as she sniffed the air. She let out a low growl and continued her decent up the stairs.

Vamp laid on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He just laid there, thinking. His mind drifted to Rowan. Even in the middle of armageddon, her beauty and personality set his mind at ease. She was was the best thing to happen to him. He would do anything for her. Anything.

Rowan reached her old room. "Now where did I place it?" She said moving a bunch of stuff. She ran over to the wall and turned the lights on. "Oh... there it is..." She found a picture of her and her brother. She looked at it and sat down on the floor. A tear drop soaked the corner. She went to the couch where she once slept. She picked up a blue crystal necklace, set in a spiral of sterling silver, off of the nightstand and put it around her neck. It began to glow dimly. She picked up the note that was set next to it. "May it guide you in the darkest of night. Love, Tristan." Her brother had left the necklace to help her. she held it tightly then exited the room. The unfamiliar scent lingered again. She growled in fear and darted down the stairs. "Thank goodness for the full moon tonight. I just have to stay clear of shadows." She turned to make sure no one followed. The crystal around her neck glowing brightly. She made her way to the tunnel and ran inside, so fast that it would have been impossible to catch where she had went. "I'm back," she whispered. She went to Vamp's room and knocked on the door. "You awake?" she asked quietly.

Vamp nearly jumped out of bed to answer the knock. "Yeah, come on in." he opened the door and let her in. "What is the matter?" he asked, he noticed that it looked like she had been crying.

"Oh, Nothing... I just went back to my old apartment to grab some stuff." She said looking at him. She smiled slightly, and let out a sigh. "There's a full moon out tonight... No cats in sight," she said looking all around his room. Her crystal stopped glowing. She looked back at him and sat on his bed. She pulled out the picture before sitting down. She pulled her knees in to her body and hugged them holding the picture. "This was, is, my brother... Tristan," She smiled.

"Don't linger on the past, if you do, you can never see the good times now, or look forward to he future." he advised. "Besides, if you linger like that, you won't be able to see the gifts that the world has given you now." he smiled.

"I know... I'm not dwelling. It's my brother..." She said looking at him. She lay back on his bed and look at the ceiling, the picture laying next to her. Her tail flicked back and forth her arms supporting her head.

Vamp laid down next to Rowan. "Well, he is in a better place. He is bound to be at peace knowing your safe." he smiled.

"Safe?" She asked looking over at him and curling up.

"Yeah, I'll protect you," Vamp said. "To be honest, you are one of my first real friends. Also, you're part of the family now." He said with an uplifting tone in his voice.

She smiled and lay her head on his chest. "Thank you... For being so open and kind." She shut her eyes and hummed a slow tune. "You never answered me from before... What were you doing before the wave hit?"

Vamp put his arm around Rowan's shoulder and held her close. " I was living in an alley about two miles away. Rowan?"

"Yea?" She answered sleepily. She yawned softly and nuzzled his chest.

"I love you." he whispered.

Her eyes shot open. She sat up and looked at him. "What did you say?" Her ears lay back. She bit her bottom lip and looked at him.

"I love you. Truly." he repeated.

She moved closer to him and looked into his eyes. "You... love me? But how? We just met..." She bit her lower lip and pinned him. "You need to think this through thoroughly."

"I don't know, I just kinda felt a connection to you. And every time I'm near you, I feel at peace, even with the world the way it is right now, eveything just feels like it will sort itself out."he looked into her eyes, as blue as the noon sky, "I love you."

Her lips quivered holding back a smile. A tear ran down her face. She didn't know whether to be happy, or to hold onto the past and the one she once loved. She held him in place, her strength oddly surpassing his. Her blue eyes shut as she kissed him. She pulled away quickly and stood up, stumbling backwards. "I... I'm sorry..." She said before running out of the room and out the front door. She stood in the moon light, looking around in all directions. She quickly fell to her knees and let out her cry. Anger filled her tone as she hit the street. Her cries echoed the streets. Pull your self together, everything will be ok. I'll protect you. Her brother's last words rang in her mind. She curled up on the cold street and continued to sob. "Tristan, I'm so confused... I need your help... Where are you?" She called, frightened. The crystal around her neck illuminated brightly, warding off any cat's who approached.

Vamp ran out the door after Rowan. He could still taste her kiss on his lips. He found her crouching on the sidewalk. Her pendent seemed to glow a soft blue light. He knelt down. Hugged her. "Come on. Lets get inside." he whispered, then he kissed her cheek and they walk inside.

*Kistrev was rocking and rolling in his sleep on the couch.... he saw his family starving, cat's, death... he moaned and tossed*

Rowan walked behind him. She held her arms and hugged her body. She wiped her face off and shook her head. As they entered the restaurant she curled up on the opposite side of the couch and shut her eyes.

When Orin entered the house, his hopes of finding non-demonic life were basically crumpled up and tossed to the side. He saw bodies strewn about, some with the torso missing, some without heads, some with heads but no body. He continued up the stairs until he came upon two hunters clawing at a closed closet. Without a single thought, he leaped at them and changing into his 'other' form, tore them apart, their blood dotting his now gray-white fur. Greed devours those who always hunger he thought as he opened the closet door.

After she had completly dozed of to sleep, Vamp put an arm under her legs, and the other under her shoulder. He then carried her to his room, set her on the bed, and went to sleep on the couch. "I said I would protect you, and that is what I intened to do, Rowan." he said as he drifted of to sleep.

Rowan opened her eyes and noticed that she was no longer on the couch. "How did I get here..." She said aloud, quietly. She stepped out of the bed and padded across the hard wood flooring. She opened the door quietly. The silent was broken by the creek of the door. She walked out to the living and saw a sleeping Vamp, but to her surprise, Kistrev was missing. Her heart beat rose as she opened the front door and went outside. She noticed the sun had not yet started to rise. "Oh please let him be alive..." She went on all fours and started running up and down the streets. She searched every alley till she found a hoard of Cats. She let out a sharp bark and charged at them tearing and thrashing them apart. She found Kistrev's body limp, and bloodied. "Oh.. please, Still be alive..." She stood up on her hind legs and walked over to him. She touched him gently on the neck and felt his pulse. "Oh thank goodness." She sighed. She lifted his body and slowly walked down the street. The sun began to rise. She squinted at the fresh, bright light. Blood stained her fur from fighting off 'Them' and Kistrev's head wounds. She finally reached the restaurant and kicked the door open. She she hobbled in and finally noticed she had been wounded from one the cats. "Vamp... Wake up.. please..." She said in his ear after laying Kistrev on the floor. She knelt beside him, applying pressure to his wounds, with his old shirt she had found just outside the door.

"Yeah? What is--" he cut himself short. "Oh dammit! Get me some cotton balls, salt, and the neddle and thread! Quick!" he said as he shot up and applied pressure to the bleeding.

Rowan stood and darted to the bathroom. On her way back she noticed a trail of blood. "Please tell me that's not coming from me..." She quickly ran back to Vamp and handed him everything. I looked at the side of my thigh and noticed three deep, large gashes. "wow... it got me. Hey Vamp, Do you think you have another needle? I need to fix something..."

"Yeah, there are some in my medicine cabinet in the back." he said as he put salt on kristev's wounds, and the bleeding stopped instantly. He then scrubbed the wounds and stitched them up again.

Rowan took a towel and wrapped it around her leg. She then went to his cabinet and grabbed a needle. "Hey, we have any sake?" She asked as she took tights the towel tightly around her thigh.

"Yeah, I'll grab the sakè and stitch you up." he said as he reached for the bottle.

"Oh, No need.... I can do it." She smiled she tossed her leg up on the table after laying out a few towels and drank a couple of cups of sake. She then dabbed off the blood and poured some rubbing alcohol. She too the thread and threaded the needle. She slowly began stitching. Her ears twitching at every stitch. The stitching was tight and close together. She continued sewing up her wound, occasionally applying RA and drinking some Sake.

Vamp inspected the neddle job and whisled in impresion. "You are very good at that," he said as he wrapped kistrev wounds in gauze. "Here, this will help." he continued as he then wraped Rowan's gash in a linen bandage.

When he looked inside, he saw what looked like a half-dead child, but it wasn't human...or just not now. "Hey, you still able to move?" he asked, the half-closed eyes moved up and down as the child got up and walked out of the dark room. The child was a girl in reptilian...maybe draconic form which he assumed from the clothes on the body. She nodded and got up and started to crawl towards Orin, who couldn't stand the sight, picking her up and holding her over his shoulder. "Look, until I find you some other people to stick with, just hang with me, I'm more than enough..." he said with a smile, she nodded, trying to change back, but only going halfway, having human arms and legs, but her body was still covered in orange and beige scales. He went outside and continued down the street, a little bit happy for at least having company for once.

Vamp help Rowan onto the couch and put kistrev on an old military cot in his room to rest. "I really meant it when I said I love you, by the way, why did you say sorry when you kissed me?" he asked holding her close. Her hair smelt like wildflowers.

She looked up at him. "I wasn't apologizing to you... I was apologizing to the one I once loved. I still love him...." She looked at the ground.

She stood and walked to the front door. "I'm going to find anyone else who wishes to have assistance." She said, and with that, she was out the door and down the tunnel. She walked out to the cloudy streets. "It looks like it's going to storm..." She said looking up. She shrugged and walked down the street. She removed the gauze and began to run. The stitching held tightly. She looked up at the buildings and saw movement in her old apartment building. "What the..." She said walking towards the entrance. She began to walk up to the stairs slowly, her paws padded against the tiled floor.

Orin was still walking down the street when he saw someone head into an apartment building alone. The girl on his shoulder started to whine when she also noticed. "Fine, i'll go help her...you're being afully whiny for someone I just saved from certain death..." He replied, heading towards the wolf girl.

Vamp looked out on the street from the end tunnel, he noticed a figure, but it was standing upright. He pulled out his revolver and a flashlight "Who is there?!" he demanded.

Rowan stopped when she heard a large creatures foot steps nearing her. She froze ad looked at the Dragon-Wolf. "Who are you?" She quivered. Her wound began to bleed again as the stitching tore at her skin from all of the movement. She began to slowly back down the stairs. Her foot slipped and sent her falling down the steps. She landed at the bottom with a loud thud. Her head had smacked the floor and was the skin was cut from the rubble, that lay everywhere. Her arms shook as she rose her self from the ground. She lightly touched her bleeding head and looked at the New being. "You... look familiar..." She said.

Orin laughed at her comment. "I doubt I look like anyone you know, but the names Orin...this here is...I don't know, she never told me." he said, gesturing towards the dragon girl on his shoulder. "You look like you need more bandages, I think I still have some in my pockets..." Orin changed back into his human state so he could reach the bandages in his pocket, then changed back when he fished them out, handing them to the wolfess.

She watched him become human and hand her bandages. "Thank you Orin. I'm Rowan," She looked at the girl. "That Girl is hurt badly. With that amount of blood loss she wont live." She said to herself in a hushed tone. She looked back up as Orin and stood. "I feel out of place here...." She said scaling him.

Orin heard her say 'Hurt badly' and looked up at the dragon girl and saw blood on her dress. "Uh, actually...thats not hers or mine, it was...'them'. Found her in a closet with two of them clawing at it". He then looked back at her "What do you mean 'out of place'?"

"Well still... any cuts she has need to be cleaned out immediately." She said looking at him then the girl. Her white hair stained by her blood, she stood and pulled it out of the pony tail she had. It fell in front of her face. She quickly brushed it away and looked back at him. "You can become human... I am stuck... I haven't been able to be human for the longest time." She looked down at her paws. A sudden change in the atmosphere set her off. Her ears began to twitch. "Get the girl back up stairs. I don't think they were finished with her." She whipped around and saw a cat scurry behind a fallen wall.

"Actually, I try to stay in this form as long as possible, but after ten hours, I start to sting all over my body, and each passing second it gets worse" He nodded when he felt his neck hairs rise up. "I suggest you come with me, I may not look like much, but I've been basically hunting these things for food ever since I could change into...my stronger self..." Orin walked into the apartment and up the stairs, heading towards a bathroom to check his 'luggage' for wounds.

Rowan stood where she was. The scent of her blood was in the air. The cats hissed and moaned in thirst and hunger. One approached her. "Wrong move," She growled. She fired her gun as the cats head exploded. Two more cats lunged and bit at her. She quickly pulled one off and tore its throat out. The other she threw against a wall, blood trailing down to the limp body. Rowan quickly turned and ran up the stairs, the stitches tearing at her skin. "Damn it!" She pulled her knife and cut her stitches. Blood trickled down her leg as she reached Orin.

Orin looked up as the young dragoness with a smile "Well, besides a bruise and a milimeter deep scratch, theres no wounds on you". She replied with a giggle-like hiss, until she saw Rowan and chirped in shock. "What, whats wr- oh my!" Orin said, immedeatly searching for more bandages when he saw Rowan's wounds and cut stitches.

"Don't bother..." She said looking out of the doorway. "Get the girl into light... Here, take this." She tossed them her Crystal and readied her gun. "I'll hold them off as much as I can." She entered the hall and one by one plucked off Cats.One lunged at her and bit her repeatedly. "ARG!" She shouted. She quickly tore the cat off and broke his neck. She went feral and slashed at the cats with her claws.

Orin immedeatly grabbed the crystal, but knowing shes fine, lets the girl follow him as he heads towards the hallway. when seeing Rowan get feral, Orin grabbed her by the scruff of her her neck. "You better watch the child, these things are more than enough for me to handle" he then placed her with the dragoness, who stuck with Rowan as Orin grabbed a cat that lunged at him, and threw it at the others, then using his tail along with his claws, started swatting down the cats that lept at him and Rowan, his movements getting too fast for the cats to latch on.

Vamp loaded his revolver with some custom ammo. He shot a group of Them and six were torn apart. This got their attention and drew them away. "That's right you little S.O.B.s, come here." he whispered to himself.

Vamp shot again, this time a gooey, gelatanious mass grew from the impact area. A gumball round, as he called them. the goo soon enveloped them and hardened on the brisk night air. They would all soon die of suffacation. "That's how It's done." Vamp said with a smirk.

*Kistrev curled up in the bed, moaning he slipped in and out of deep unconsciousness, the mass of blood congealing in his fur*

The sun is high over head as RK trudges along the side of the unkempt road. Dust blows out of his fur as a gentle breeze flows over him lifting his dirty brown cloak. In the distance a city's skyline is becoming visible. He continues at his slow pace passing a sign that says, "New York City, 3 miles". RK groans as he reads the sign.
"Three more god forsaken miles," he says in an almost crying tone. "But I'll make it, I will not die out here!" His words echo on the empty streets. RK pulls a metal baseball bat from his cloak and looks around quickly to make sure none of Them heard him. Letting off a quick sigh of relief as the street remains quiet, he moves on ahead, bat in hand.
The city continues to grow as houses become more densely packed. Many of them, their windows boarded, and if they're not, then the window is broken out. RK stops at house as noticing something on the door step. A skeleton, a human skeleton, lies motionless. In it's hand, a pistol, held just to the of it's head. Someone who managed to kill themselves before becoming one of Them.
"Lucky," RK says approaching the body. The pistol is worn from many days of sitting open to the weather, rusted and dirty. RK picks it up and looks it over. "This won't work." He tries to eject the clip, but it's rusted in place. Shrugging he pockets it, it looks like it used to be a nice gun. Then he continues along the road, growing ever closer to the main city.

Rowan growled at Orin and looked at the girl. "Hold that tightly and don't let go!" She quickly jumped from the stairs and fell through multiple levels and hit the bottom floor. She crushed a couple more skulls and continued to tear Them to pieces. Her mouth dripped with blood as she jumped back up the stairs, level by level, and landed next to the child. "I need the crystal back. Orin will take care of you..." She said as she turned on a light. "This will keep them away. Make sure you keep the light safe though." She quickly ran up to Orin and touched his shoulder gently. "They wont be attacking for a while. Get the girl to safety. I have to go back." She said. With that, she jumped through the steps and landed. She quickly ran out of the building and to the tunnel. She saw Vamp and began to assist him.

Vamp saw Rowan and a wave of releif washed over him as he realized she was okay. "Hey, you ran off without a gun. Here, use this." he said and handed her a police-style Beretta handgun and four clips.

She tossed it back at him. "I'm good. I've been using my teeth and claws this long... might as well continue." She smiled and winked and lunged at four cats. Her thigh bled from the loss of stitching. Another scratch showed on her back, her shirt torn and revealing the large gashes. Her mouth dripped with blood. She stood and walked past Vamp into the tunnel. "I apologize for the animal in me." She looked at the ground and continued through the tunnel. She quickly entered the home and went into the shower. The water fell on her face, the blood running down the drain. She let out a sigh as her fur became its natural color. After she finished she dried off with a white towel and walked into Vamp's room. She sat on the bed and put on some clothing she had brought over from her apartment. She lay back on the bed and lay her thick fluffy tail next to her. She eyes shut as she let out a long sigh of comfort and relief.

Vamp returned a few hours later with some food and a medium sized parcel. After sorting and storing the food, he went into his room and found Rowan on the bed. "Just the person I was looking for," he said with a cheerful smile. "This is for you." and handed over the parcel.

She smiled and sat up. Her eyes gleamed happily. "What is it?" She asked holding it. She looked at him happily and smiled. She sat on the bed and crossed her legs and pat the bed motioning him to sit next to her.

as she opened the package, he explained. "I went to an abandoned tailor and made you some new clothes. That one is a cloak and is fire-proof, and these are sleeves to put over your arms so you won't get cut, same with the leggings, and this shirt is also fire-proof and goes on before the sleeves. Same deal with the pants." he finished. the clothes were beautiful, light-weight, perfectly sized and expertly made. All shareing the same charcoal color as Vamp's fur. "I hope you like them." he smiled.

She smiled and took them from him. "Oh, thank you so much!" She got off the bed and quickly changed. She came back with the form fitting clothing. She spun and modeled it for him. "What do you think?" She asked with a light laugh. She took the coat off and went to lay on the bed. "So... How are you?" She asked looking over at him.

"I think you look beautiful, and I'm good whenever your around." he said "But all the beds are being filled up. If your comfortable with it, you can bunk with me." he suggested.

She looked at him. Her eyes showed a bit of uneasiness. "I suppose... I'm going to go check on Kistrev." She got up and went to see the newest member. She touched his head gently and felt a fever. She went to the kitchen and quickly got a pack of ice and set it on his head. She walked back into Vamp's room. "He's starting to run a small fever. I put some ice on his forehead to cool it down." She sat on the bed and looked at Vamp. "It's going to take a while for me to let go of my fiance... But I'm trying." Her voice was hushed.

Vamp hugged Rowan."Take all the time you need. I never want to pressure you into something you don't want to do. Okay?"

She turned and kissed him gently. "I know." She lay him back as she lay her head on Vamp's chest. She nuzzled him gently and shut her eyes. Her mind began to dance with memories of her childhood. Her brother and her playing hide and go seek in the park just down the road from their childhood home. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled.

Vamp kissed Rowan back and held her in a lover's-embrace."I love you." he whispered as they both feel into a serene sleep.

Her mind continued to dance. Her brother ran down the hall as she quivered in a corner. Her vision blurred by tears. Cats clawed at her. Assassins rounded the corner as her brother turned feral and tore their throats to shreds. Her scream sounded and echoed as it bounced off the concrete floor and walls. Her brother's body fall limp to the ground, bloodied. Her cries echoed as Rowan rose and tore up the remaining cats. Her eyes shot open as she sat up gasping. Her face damp and her scar bleeding. The room was dark as her crystal illuminated her face and chest. "Oh... Thank god it was just a dream..." She whispered. She stood and walked to the bathroom. The scar across her chest bled. She ran some water and cleaned it. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and wiped her face off. She changed into short cloth shorts and a torn and tattered Tee, her lower back and stomach showing, revealing her tattoo on her lower hip. She padded across the bedroom floor and sat on the edge of the bed.

Vamp woke up and saw Rowan sitting on the edge of the bed. " Are you alright?" he asked with a concerned tone. He noticed that she was wet from a shower and had a sad look on her face. "Tell me what happened." he said as he held close to comfort her.

"Yea... I've fine. Nothing's wrong. I just had a dream... That's all." She looked up at him and smiled weakly. She lay back on the bed and sighed. The crystal dimmed as she looked at the ceiling. Her breathing was calm. Her stomach moved up and down slowly. Her voice broke the quiet air. "Vamp. Do you think there is hope of finding new people?" Her tone was quiet and soft.

"As long as we are alive, there is hope." he smiled back. "Besides, there has to be more then just us." he said. "We will find more. I promise."

"I met a wolf-dragon today... Orin. He rescued a child. She was pretty shaken up..." She said looking over at him. She kissed him again and smiled. "I'm sorry. I can't help it..." She looked back up at the ceiling and shut her eyes. "He reminded me of my fiance... But I didn't get to speak to him. They were everywhere." Her voice cooed in the darkness. Tiredness creeping upon her.

"It's okay. Did you tell him he could stay?" he asked, still hugging her. "If you didn't, we can get them in the morning." he said.

She shook her head no and yawned. "I think they will be fine. He was well built. He looked so much like Drake. His eyes..." She drifted off and fell asleep. She rolled over and hugged the pillow, her tail wrapping around her waist.

"Okay. We'll get them tommorow." he said and went back to sleep as well.

She woke up and looked at the clock. It read 2:43 a.m. She rubbed her head and sighed, setting the clock back down. "God... I guess it's going to be another sleepless night." She got out of bed quietly and padded into the kitchen. She grabbed a cup of water and sat at the table. She looked out the window. "Another full moon... That's rare." She sighed looking down at the streets. The street lights flickered now and again. She looked at Kistrev and then back out the window. Her tail flicked around rapidly as she began to remember the face of her fiance. Boy, do I miss your smile and your eyes. The way you'd greet me in the morning, when I woke up beside you. She thought as she smiled subconsciously.

Night had fallen as RK looked around the barren wasteland that was once the great city of New York. "What demonic god hath wrought this pain upon the world?" he asked hypothetically to himself. Slowly he walked through the streets, when he suddenly smelled something in the air. The scent of happiness, of love. It was unlike the hate those beasts gave off. "It's been a while, since I've smelled something like this." RK walked around the streets sniffing the air, eventually he arrived at building, the source of the scent. 'Maybe someone's still alive.' RK approached the door and knocked on it three times.

Rowan's ears perked as a knock came from the door. She rushed to it and opened it. Her feet quietly padding across the tile. "hello?" She whispered. Her eyes glowing dimly. She smelt the scent of another being. "Who are you? What are you?" She asked. Her tone quick and to the point. She opened the door more to see the person. She smiled slightly showing kindness. She hoped his knocking didn't wake Vamp.

"Good evening Ma'm, I am RK Stevenson," he said bowing slightly putting one arm to the side and one over his stomach. "And to whom do I owe this pleasure?" RK asked gently, straightening his back.

She smiled. "I am Rowan Clearwater. But usually they call me Rowan." She nodded, smiling. She invited him in. "The others are sleeping... So we must be quiet." She motioned him to sit at the table with her, after she shut the door. "So who are you exactly?" She asked looking at him, her ears perked up.

"As I had previously stated, I am RK Stevenson," RK said thinking that maybe this girl is just slow, entering the house and looking around. Slowly he removes his cloak and drapes it over his arms. "Oh, do you mean what did I do before, and why I'm here?" RK said realizing what she meant. "I used to be a street performer, I did magic tricks, nothing to fancy, just enough to make money. Then the reason I'm here. I figured there be atleast a few living people in New York do to the sheer size, and who are you Miss Clearwater?"

"I'm not sleeping." Vamp said "Nice to meet you. See Rowan, there are more people." he smiled at her.

Rowan jumped slightly at Vamp's voice. "You need to stop doing that...." She said looking at him, anger in her tone. She sat at the table and pulled her tail up around her.

"Good evening Vamp, I do hope I did awaken you," RK said keeping up his unnecessary old man tone of speech.

Rowan stood and padded over to Vamp and touched him gently on the shoulder. "I'm going to bed." She said quietly. "It was nice to meet you RK." She nodded and smiled and walked into the room. She lay on the bed and quickly fell asleep.

"Nice to meet you to Miss Clearwater, have a good rest," RK said as she left the room. "Vamp, you are surprised there are other survivors? There actually many colonies in other cities much like this one." RK thought back to the three colonies he had been a part of so far, the memories were not fond, so he pushed them from his brain, and continued to smile at Vamp. "I would like rest for I have been traveling non-stop for the last day and a half, so might there be a place I can get some rest?"

"Yeah, you can sleep in that chair. Just wait until they are attracted to the colonies." he winced at the thought.

Rowan opened her eyes and got out of bed. "damn.. 3:12." She muttered angrily. She ambled out to the room where the other two were standing. Her face showed weariness and stress, yet her eyes showed life and energy. "I need to find something to do..." She said walking by them. She grabbed her Combat boots and long coat and put them on. "I'm going to go find something to tire me out." She smiled and walked out the door. She walked down the side walk and noticed something flaring in the distance. As if fire were dancing across the street. Her ears suddenly went back when she noticed it was a fire walker. "Finally... A worthy fight." She said getting low and getting on all fours. She charged at the beast and bit at its side. It let out a roar as it batted her off. It lunged and sank its teeth into her shoulder. A loud yelp broke the silence as she kicked it off with all her might. Rowan stood, her fangs grew larger as her nails grew sharper. "Bring it on kitty..." She growled at she sank her teeth into its head. The walker continued to thrash around, tossing Rowan into a fallen wall. It ran at her and tackled her. They both went tumbling into the building. Rowan quickly sliced at its throat and tore it out with her jaws. The cat lay a bloody mess, it's flame slowly flickering out. She turned back to normal and hobbled out of the building. She quickly ran to the lake to rinse herself off. The blood pooled around her as she washed away the stains and rinsed her wound.

"Try not to think about the death of all humanity, for some reason it tends to get the spirits down." RK said eying Vamp with caution. 'This kid doesn't seem normal. He's to serious, I don't trust his attitude. It's to cold and survivalist. I'll worry about it later,' RK thought.

Rowan began to walk back home. Her shoulder continued to bleed. She yawned and entered the home. "Ah... much better." She smiled at RK and Vamp. "Do we have any gauze?" She asked. She looked at RK. "Hey... you alright? You have a funny look on your face..." She asked. She looked back at Vamp, looking for an answer.

"No, I'm fine, just thinking about stuff." RK went back to his smile, "Nothing to worry your self about. Well, I'll be off to bed, good night Miss Clearwater, and good night Sir Vamp." RK went and sat on the chair and holding his bat fell asleep quickly.

As Vamp and Rowan headed towards their bed, Vamp whispered to Rowan "I don't like this guy. He gives me the creeps. I think he may try to hurt us."

"Oh... come now. You're just paranoid. Relax. If he tries, he'll fail. He seems nice to me. It seems to me, that he's lived rough." She wrapped up her shoulder and sat on the bed. "Don't be so quick to judge someone." She yawned and lay back. She quickly fell asleep. She purred softly and yawned again. "Oh, I fought a fire walker... I think they are starting to migrate," And with that, she was dead asleep.

Vamp took the oppertunity of Rowan being asleep to stitch and bandage her leg. He also cleaned and wrapped her shoulder wound. "That should make you feel better tommorow." he said to himself.

She winced at every stitch. She smacked Vamp a couple of times and kicked her leg. "stop..." She muttered. She stopped and continued to sleep. Rowan hugged her pillow tightly and softly whimpered as her mind raced. She slowly calmed down and purred softly the rest of the night.

Vamp crept into the room where RK was sleeping. He cocked his Beretta and attached a suppressor. He then put a paw over RK's mouth and RK was shaken from sleep. "Okay, now, I know the whole accent is fake. Why are you really here?" he whispered sharply, removing his paw from RK mouth.

RK woke up suddenly, and looked done the barrel of the Barret pistol in Vamp's hand "Excuse me, I don't speak good when there's a gun in my face," RK said coolly, looking in Vamp's eyes.

"You heard me, drop the phoney accent, why are you realy here?" he repeated. "If your planning to hurt anyone in this family, rest assured, it will not go unpunished." He said in a low tone.

Rowan's ears twitched. Her eyes opened quickly as she heard a low voice. Damn it Vamp... She thought at she quietly walked up behind him. She took her gun and hit him in the back of the head. He fell to the ground with a thud. "Oh.... Oh god..." She said holding the gun and looking at Vamp. She quickly looked at RK. "Are you alright? Please tell me he didn't hurt you..." She whispered worriedly.

"I'm fine, thank you Miss Clearwater, you obviously have a little more common sense then Sir Vamp," RK stood up and threw his cloak on over his shoulders. "Though I do not feel safe here with this lunatic pointing guns at people freely." RK's eyes glare deeply into Rowan's.

As Vamp blacked out, his suspicions seemed to fade from importance. All he could think about was "why?... why Rowan?... I was only..." and with that, darkness. All he saw. All he felt. was darkness.

Rowan looked at RK. "Don't worry... He wont hurt you. I'm not quite sure what drove him to this." She looked back down at Vamp. "If you wish to leave, I understand." She nodded her head and looked back at him. "You may call me Rowan, by the way." She said, her tone kind.

"I'll stay if I'm safer here, then out there," RK said pointing out the window. "I knew I shouldn't trust him though, he's too cold, too survivalist. I understand he doesn't want to die, but humanity has to work together to live through this." RK stood over Vamp and knelt down to him. "Would like help moving him to his bed?" RK asked. "Rowan, I want you to be sure in this, I've never killed a single human in my entire life, and I don't plan on doing starting anytime soon, if Vamp points a gun at me again, I will kill him."

Rowan knelt down and threw his arm over her shoulder. She moved him and lay him on the bed. She looked at him and shut the door. "Now look... you may stay.. but If anything happens between you two, I will get involved. And I have killed another person. And I'm not afraid to again." She said, her tone stern. Her ears perked as another approached. "Who's there?" She growled. Her eyes intense as her muscles tensed up.

*hears one of the figures yell out at my presence but I try and remain hidden unable to trust them, they could be just as bad as the people who killed my parents not too long ago*

"Don't worry, it's not one of Them, it doesn't seem destructive," RK said sniffing the air. "Threaten me all you like, but killing me won't bring back Vamp if he threatens me again," RK said pulling out his two baseball bats from his cloak. "Now about this other person."

Rowan took a deep breath and relaxed. She went towards the door and opened it. She quickly slipped outside without a sound. "Boo" She whispered, standing behind the hidden person. She smiled and approached him cautiously. "What are you doing sneaking around? It's a good way to get hurt..." She said. Her eyes were warm and kind.

Vamp shook the blow off. He had been hit like that many times before. He shot up in bed and raced out to the main room. DE in hand. "Do you smell it to?" he quickly asked Rowan. She jumped in surprise at his silence and sudden sound of his voice.

She looked at him, her eyes dancing with excitement, although her facial expression was calm. Her tail flicked back and forth slowly, as if to a beat. Her brown hair fell in front of her eyes, causing them to seem brighter than usual. She invited him inside and saw Vamp. "Don't make me... I will do it again.. And this time... you wont wake up." She threatened motioning Moon to come inside.

RK chuckled to himself and sat back down on the chair, holding his bat hidden in his cloak between his legs, and touching the ground, he drifted slowly to sleep."

"There should be some room on the couch. We are growing rapidly." She said pointing over to the couch. Her eyes flickered to Vamp. Then to RK, "Shut it... It has never happened before... Don't assume it has." she growled. She went over and sat at the table. Her tail wrapped around her waist and hugged her knees. She let out a sigh and looked at everyone in the room.

*pain, the first thing Kistrev felt as he regained consciousness, rolling over he groaned deeply, he blinked in the harsh light of the room and looked down, well, he had a tail, news to him.... running back over that again he tried to remember his name, hed just said it to himself, speaking of that, he didnt remember anything.... sitting up, pain flared across his skull, where he could feel a mass of congealed blood... his ear was torn and ragged, covered in numerous stitches and cuts he stood to his feet ungainely, opening the door he slid one paw out slowly and hesitantly, he remembered the room beyond, a kitchen, bathrooms, and a couch... he remembered people had taken him in, like family... he groaned as he held his head in his paws, swishing his tail, he stood back up and called..* "ANYBODY HERE?"
(yay! finally got an internet connection sorted for today and part of tommorow in this village, im posting from a cousins laptop using his mobile for the internet connection..... and i am not new to this, just been away a while...)

Rowan growled angrily and stormed back into the home. She spotted Kistrev and walked over to him. "Oh thank goodness. How are you feeling?" She said urgently. Her tone concerned. She smiled weakly and helped him to the couch. "We have food... I'll get you some." She offered. Her ears were back in anger as she make him a sandwich. "Here.." She handed him a plate and went into her room. She came back out with proper clothing and sat next to Kistrev. She looked over at Moon. "I haven't quite figured out Vamp either," She said responding to his previous question, "He hasn't told me his story yet and he seems to act odd at times." She looked out the window across room and saw the sun starting to rise.

She looked at him oddly and shrugged it off. "Well, you're welcome to stay here," She smiled. She finished her coffee and put her cup away. She went into the bathroom and started the shower. After finishing she went to her room and changed. She put on a pare of black short shorts and a red and white, striped, top. She pulled on her combat boots and large black coat. "I'll be back soon. I'm going to find Vamp." She said opening the front door.

As Rowan leaves I finally start to feel fatigue, damn why do I get so tired now when the sun comes up. I look around and I see an uninhabited couch and decide to take a quick nap just for a moment.As my eyes close I quickly drift off to sleep.

Vamp went to an old Yakuza weopens cache and stocked up on ammo and grabbed an SVD german sniper rifle along with five more throwing knives. Then came to hard part, he unretracted his claws and dug them into the plaster of a six-story apartment building and then began his climb to the top. Once there, he loaded the SVD and began to wait, wait for the abominations to flee from the sun. Didn't speak, just waited.

Rowan went feral, her clothing disappearing with her change. She ran down the street past the building Vamp had been set up. From his height, her appearance looked as if she were one of 'Them'. She slowed down once she reached the shadows. Her nose sniffed frantically, looking for Vamp. She looked around and sat. Her stance was motionless.

Vamp looked through the scope, zoomed in and steadied his aim, then he felt something, not physically, but emotionally. His mind screamed at him to fire but his heart resisted. The sun washed over the being's face. It was Rowan. Vamp vomited. "Oh god." he thought. "I almost shot her." his stomach convulsed again, firing the contents of his stomach to the ground. "Oh, god." he continued thinking over and over.

*suffering, blood, death I see my parents on the floor dead eaten alive.I cry and howl. Then those things....They come in with the face of death. I change and I run,hiding amongst the shadows*I wake up, shivering with a cold sweat enveloping me. It seems that all I dream about now is the nightmare of that night. I look outside, The sun still shines bright in the sky and I start to think about vamp and rowan. I need to help them some how I can't just sit here. So I brace the sun and decide to follow their track. Using my extra strong senses I pick up their trail and follow it through the really bright light.

Rowan turned to normal and heard Vamp. "Vamp?" Her voice called echoing up the walls of the buildings. She quickly began to scale the building. She quickly saw vamp and froze. "What are you doing with that...." She asked her voice quiet.

Vamp did his best to compose himself. "H-h-hunting them." he managed to choke out. "Like I said I would."

She eyed the gun and his expressions. "You... you almost.... killed me didn't you...?" Her voice was stern and smooth. Her eyes were intense and showed no emotion.

after A long time of tracking I come to a 6 story building and can smell vamp and rowan on top so I decide to climb up. As I climb I yell to them so they dont freakout and think I'm a hostile. As I climb though I start to get a feeling, A very bad feeling though, Like there is something in the shadows......something that has been following me this whole time.

"No, I didn't. I would never try to hurt you." he said clearing his throat.

RK sits up, suddenly awake. He massages his eyes with his thumb and pointer finger as he begins to adjust to the morning. He had just had a strange dream. In the dream, RK was walking around this city, and Vamp, and Rowan were there. Suddenly out of the side of a building, a Fire Walker jumps out on Rowan, and begins to mauler her. Then, before he can even react to the first Fire Walker, another jumps from the other side on top of Vamp. RK pulls out his bats and tries to hit the Fire Walkers off of Rowan, but it doesn't even seem to affect it. Then, With Vamp, and Rowan dead, the Walkers turn towards RK, and leap. As the land on top of him, he wakes up. RK stands up and looks around.

Rowan looked at Vamp and pondered for a moment. "Oh.. Moon... Is everything alright?" She asked looking over at him. Her eyes met Vamps again. We'll talk later She thought to him, her attention focusing on Moon.

RK stretches and walks out the door and sits on the edge the porch, getting some fresh air. He looks around and smells anger, fear, vomit, and annoyance all coming from the same direction. With a large yawn, RK stands up and walks toward the source of the smells. 'I hope everything's alright. Hopefully no one's dead.' RK thought as he continued. As he got closer, he covered up his nose because the smell of vomit was getting much stronger, and his nose was sensitive enough that it was actually painful to smell it. However, he figured that meant he was close, and looking around, he could Moon climbing to the top of the building.

Rowan couldn't bare the smell anymore and jumped down from the building. She gasped for fresh air. She spotted RK. "Don't go up there unless you want to vomit as well." She warned.

"I hadn't planned on it, I was just making sure everyone was alright," RK said. "So what happened anyway?" RK looked around carefully keeping his eyes open for any Them that might be wandering around. The smell of vomit was so overwhelming that his nose was completely useless, making him relatively open for attack.

"Nothing... Vamp almost shot me... I don't think I should go feral when its day light. It's too dangerous." She let out a light chuckle and looked at him. "So... care to go fishing?" She asked looking into the sun.

"I suppose a little fishing couldn't hurt," RK said walking next Rowan. "But wait, what do you mean go feral?"

She smiled and went on all fours. Her appearance changing. She stood back up and smiled. She began to walk to the park.

"Ah, okay. Then I guess the almost shooting you was completely understandable," RK said in mild surprise. Then walking next to her, he followed her to where they would fish.

Deciding that I am not in the mood of throwing up I follow Rk and Rowan to the park to fish. As we walk there I feel a huge desire to explain the feelings as I climbed the building but decide not too on account that rowan and RK did not feel the presence of anything in the shadows, It was most likely just nerves from the bad dream and the sunlight."hey guys, wait for me"!

Rowan sat on the dock and put her feet in the water. She watched as the ripples glinted the sunlight in different directions. She let out a deep sigh and became lost in deep thought.

She looked up quickly and smiled. "Nothing... Just remembering my Fiance..." She continued to stare out on the water. "He loved it here... I'm just reminiscing I guess.."

"Of course Sir Moon, would you like to join us for some enjoyable fishing," RK says with smile looking back at Moon. He stepped onto the dock, but something didn't feel right, there was a smell he had never smelled before, different from the fire walkers and assassins he had dealt with so far. He continues staring back at the way they came.

Looks at rowan and smiles back." I know how you feel, I once had lover, we used to do everything together. She and I almost made it to the point of marrying each other but before I could propose she vanished. I don't know what made here do it*head droops a little* but I seriously thought we had something very special".Looks back to RK and sees him look back the way they came and all of a sudden a fear grows inside......What if that bad feeling I had on the building that felt like something was stalking me was real.....a shiver runs down my spine.

Rowan let out a sigh. "I was supposed to marry this week..." She shut her eyes and let the warm breeze dance across her face.

hears Rowan say something but my mind is now clouded, due to the serious look in RK's eyes the the smell of something coming from where I felt the feeling of fear on the building."Rowan....I am starting to feel we should leave soon, something.....*pauses and sniffs the air*something isn't right".

Her ears twitch slightly. "You're right...." She shut her eyes and listened to the surrounding. A leaf falling a few yards away. The sound of a small twig breaking under the weight of a rabbit. Claws scraping across the street. "It's at the streets.... I'm not sure what it is though..." She stood and looked at the road.

hears the noise and decides to tell Rowan my feelings at the building."This explains alot.....I am sorry I didnt tell you guys earlier but when I climbed the building I got a very bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. It felt as if there was something in the shadows, heading our way. At first I thought it was nothing since You guys didn't notice it and you guys are more in touch with your senses, but It is now undeniable...I felt its presence.*pauses again* I think we should go now....

Orin saw her leave the house and leave the girl with him. "Protection....I never needed any f...you know what, just forget it...." He sat next to the dragoness, who already half-asleep. He carried her down towards the light and laid her down next to him, keeping watch while she got rest. "I've been alone ever since the whole 'wave occoured, never had to worry about night when I could've just smashed those furballs with my feet and claws..." He looked at the dragoness and sighed "But, I guess she was more worried about you...Rowan...where have I heard that name" he thought for a moment before kicking a nearby desk, making a nice dent in the wood. "Why can't I remember....all those kills couldn't have wiped my past life...had they?" he then remembered he had someone else to worry about, and quickly pushed such thoughts out of his head. "Everyone leaves me at some point, either by force or by choice..."

Rowan decided to go back to where she had met Orin. After thinking about her Fiance she remembered she couldn't remember where he went. She had pondered over and over. The wave had separated them. She never knew what happened to him. She saw Orin and smiled. She jogged towards him. "How is she?" She asked looking at the child.

Orin looked up at Rowan with a truly emotionless face. "Shes either too traumatized to speak, or has been mute since the 'wave', either way, she can't speak...only laugh or scream...you wouldn't happen to remember what your boyfriend did before the 'wave' occoured...would you?"

Interupts."I'm really sorry to interrupt your reunion but mind if we chat about stuff somewhere away from here...Its not safe here"

"I'll get to that later..." She looked at Orin. "It's been so long... All I know is that he disappeared..." She said her expression blank.

He almost broke into a look of amusement as he reflected on her response. "Well, I know my girlfriend won't want me back, I tried to break-up with her beacuse she was working so hard...all because I had issues with the 'unusually rough' customers...getting fired was almost expected around payday, so I always work, but get no pay..."

She smiled and sighed. "Well that's her loss then." She turned to moon and straightened her face. "So what are we doing?"

*sighs* "well I guess that creature, whatever it was left so luckily we don't have to go anywhere".*sits down*

Orin looked at her as a pang of annoyance crossed his features. "You mean what are you going to do...I plan on living the way I am, just now having to worry about a girl since you're apparently busy with another person..." He threw a glance at the other wolf before going back to the dragoness, stroking what is now a mane-like remnant of the girl's hair as she blissfully slept.

Rowan winced at his words. "Tad fierce are we?" She asked calmly. Her eyes shimmered in the light. She sat on the ground and rested her arms on her knees.

He only snorted, but was careful to keep it away from the sleeping girl. "I lived a solitary life since the 'wave'...this girl was the first thing I met that didn't run or out-right try to kill me, I only helped you because I was worried about the stitches..." He didn't like being feirce, but if it kept him alive and well, so be it.

"Thanks for caring that much at least..." She gave him the same tone. "I'm going back to the Park." She stood and jogged back to the dock. She took her previous position and began to think again.

RK sat down but continued staring back the way they came, but the smell was gone. 'Very strange, never heard of one of Them finding a target, then disappearing.' Turning to the crew of people that was growing slowly. "Hey, I smelled one of Them, but it was there for a minute then gone, like all it wanted to do was follow us. Any idea why it would do that?" RK asked slowing down, and realizing what it meant. "Guys we have got to go. That must have been a scout!"

Rowan sniffed the air and followed the scent to the woods. It was a familiar scent, a scent that she had smelled before. She wandered into the forest and saw a figure. A tear fell down her cheek. The figure stood tall, identical to that of Orin's stature. Its eyes glowing yellow. The scent became dangerous and fierce. Rowan gasped and stepped backwards. She sped up and suddenly found herself on the ground. Her fiance stood over her. A body walker had taken him over and walking in the daylight. She began to let out a whimper as she scurried to get up. His claws met her chest, gashing it open. She let out a loud yell. As it echoed through the park, birds flew overhead. She managed to get to her feet and quickly limped out of the woods. The male walked forward, his strides long and strong. She began to cry out of fear and pain.

"Oh hello my good sir, I didn't catch your name, but if you need to protect, I doubt wide open spaces where you are obvious to Them is a good place to do it," RK replied. "We can help you carry her somewhere safe, but that place is not here." RK heard a scream, and saw Rowan being attacked by a body walker. "Back you heathen!" RK yelled running to her aid. Smashing the man in the face with one of his bats, the man fell over.

Orin woke up and saw he was on the ground, and the dragoness was nowhere to be found. "Oh...where is she?!" he immedeatly got up and started back towards the house. "I can't let her die!"

I see the man drop and see other figures emerge and one of them goes for RK but before he can land a hit I take his head clean off with a slash of my extra sharp claws."quick get out of here"!

The large wolf demon stood and sliced RK, sending him into a large tree. "Don't... you want to ... join me?" The male said, his head moving in jolts. He grinned a toothy smile and lunged at Rowan. She quickly rolled out of the way. She jumped to her feet and ran to the streets. Fire walkers lined the gate. "Damn it.. What the hell!" She shouted before quickly turning back around.

"Thanks Sir Moon," RK said chasing after Rowan. "Mother..." RK says looking at the fire walkers. "Plan! Get into the water!" RK said running to the dock and jumping straight in.

Sees the wolf demon chase after rowan but before it reaches her I slice its hamstring and it tumbles over. Then I run to RK and Rowan.

He gets back to the house, and still finds the girl sleeping, no black cats, nothing else around her. He let out a heavy sigh of releif and gently picked her up. "I really slacked off, I gotta keep moving..." Orin put the dragoness back on his shoulders and left the house, he then went immedeatly towards the others and saw the wolf-demon...but when he saw it lunge at Rowan, something in his mind snapped like an over-strained tendon. "Back off, I don't know how the 'wave' spawned you...but i'll end your life like I did your stupid cats" He got on all fours, and chased at the demon, forgetting he had a girl who just woke up on his shoulders.

The demon stood right back up and ran after Moon. Rowan slid and hit the ground. She quickly went feral and ran at the demon. She pounced off of a tree and brought him to the ground. He let out a roar and sent her flying. She landed hard. She tried to get up, her legs shaking. She turned back to normal and let out another yell.

Orin was quickly on top of the demon, toppling him over with his mass, the dragoness jumped off and ran towards Rowan. "Give me two reasons why I shouldn't rip your guts out for selling yourself out to a bunch of cats?"

RK who was safely swimming in the lake thought, 'Why don't they ever listen.' Swimming to Rowan, he picks her up and sprints past Moon.

After the wolf demon is surpressed I turn around and see the other demon things closing in. I look to the lake and calculate that Rowan and RK wont make it through the lake in time."I know what I must do...All you guys head out of here I will distract these heathens and buy you time..I am faster than them so dont worry about me" With that i yell at them and hop over the fence with them chasing me.

The demon chuckled and threw Orin off. His nails slicing his chest. He stood and spotted the girl and Rowan. "Two... at once... won't that be... Delightful" He growled lunging at them. Rowan pushed the girl out of the way as The male took a chunk out of her left shoulder and arm. Rowan let out an agonizing cry and continued to scream. The pitch loud enough to break even the thickest of glass.

RK arrived at shore after seeing everyone insisted on fighting everything. When he arrived, Rowan's shoulder was bleeding profusely, and everything was in chaos. "Sir Moon distract them, other new guy, come grab the dragon lady, quick, there's no use fighting them, they're too powerful, and we've got two people down."

Rowan shook and slowly began to fade from the shock. The dragon girl panicked and tried to do as much as she could. She let out a high pitched shout. "Help!" Her voice cracked from lack of use. She moved frantically, blood on her hands. Rowan breathed short breaths and continued to shake. Her eyes rolling in the back of her head every few minutes.

running fast through bushes and trees I decide to loop around silently as the monsters have reached a safe distance from the others. As I sneak back I return to a chaotic scene .As I turned to everyone my eyes caught the shaken Rowan who was bleeding profusely from a gash in the arm.I rush over to offer assistance."Rowan get On my back I will get you out of here"

The small girl looked at him. "She can't move... She's going into shock." Rowan shut her eyes. Her mind began race back to her race.

Orin rebounded from the blow, and leapt at the demon again, but instead of tackling him, he tosses him up in the air and flaps his wings. As soon as he is air-borne, he grabs the demon, and after a two second mid-air struggle, ends up placing his knee on the back of the demon's spine, hitting the ground and probably shattering the spine. He then flipped the demon over and still saw signs of life in its eyes...which angered him to no end. He bared his claws and started to leave gashes in the demon's body with each swipe. He got up after two minutes of straight mauling, and looked himself over, his eyes analyzing the excess blood on his legs, wings, and hands. "I remember...." was all that came out of his mouth and a lone tear fell down along with his knees. He clawed at his shoulders in rage, not nearly enough to be serious, but it hurt. "I can't stay with anyone, or they leave me...I can't remember anyone, or they'll die on me...why me, why her?!?" he roared, almost on the edge of becoming feral.

"Don't worry Rowan, I'll grab the Dragongirl," RK said. Then he could smell something, hate was coming from behind him, looking back he could see Orin. But he seemed odd, he was changing, like Rowan, except but scent was changing with him, to something of anger, and hate, he was starting to smell like one of them. "No time to talk, right now, just RUN!" RK shouted at them, picking up the dragon girl and just running in a direction opposite that of Orin.

Rowan convulsed on the ground. "Seal... it ... up... I.... I don't feel... like dying today..." She managed to choke out. She began to cry. Her tears rolled down her cheeks as she tried to stop shaking. The pain had become unbearable as she continued to cry and shake. "Orin.. help" She cried. Her voice quivering in worry.

Looks at orin and sees the anger in his eyes, it nearly blinds me."come on Rowan we have to go".Picks up Rowan and follows RK.

He slowly got up, still raging from his emotions, he went on all fours and bounded towards the one holding Rowan. Personal anguish was of little concern now, Rowan needed help, and he would offer it regardless of how far gone he is. He quickly caught up and intercepted the him. The dragon girl immedeatly spoke up "Let go of her, Orin's not going to harm her!"

The dragon girl bites his hand. "Don't move her. You'll only make it worse," She growled. Her facial expression angered. Rowan tried to calm her breathing. "Don't.... move me... I can't lose... anymore... blood," She gasped.

drops Rowan and looks in anguish, this is madness!

removes his cloak and removing his shirt he wraps it around her shoulder, and says, "You're not going to die! And if we stay here, that's exactly what's going to happen! The scout is already gone, and who knows how many assassins and fire walkers are on their way, we have to get her to safety NOW! If we don't we'll ALL be very much DEAD! And you sir, what's wrong with you, you're becoming one of those beasts! I can smell the hate, and anger. If you turn feral, I will fight you, and I will kill you or die trying. Rowan are you alright to go now, if you are Sir Moon will take you back to the safety of the house."

gathers myself and goes back to the task at hand."Rowan I must get you back to the house".Picks Rowan up again and sprints to the house.

Orin tries to calmly walk towards Rowan, he gently takes off the shirt, knowing its probably worse than just leaving it uncovered. "I have no intention of becoming a slave to my anger..." he stated as he goes back to his human state, takes the gauze out of the plastic bag he carries it around in, and wraps it all around the wound. "I left you because I was afraid you would work yourself to death over me, but I can see that was a foolish idea...you always over-do it." He picked Rowan up and hefted her on his back, holding her on with his wings. "If you two care about her, cover me while I get her to my hide-out, its the remains of an underground hospital, and I can't fight those things off while holding her at the same time." the child dragoness walks up to Orin and smirks. Orin only sighs and waits on the other two to come with.

RK shakes his head at the lack of order of the RP then returns to being in character. "Yes, I've got your back, but I'm watching you, and any funny buisness, and, well, I've already explained, hurry and go, I got your back. And once again I ask, what is your name good sir, and my dear Miss Dragon what shall I call you?" RK says looking at the two of them.

Rowan nodded and let her weight be lifted. "Orin.. I'm sorry..." She muttered. Her lips covered in blood. She shut her eyes and breathed calmly. Her shoulder continued to bleed profusely. Her body felt numb as her head swam in an ocean on blur and confusion. Her eyes were glazed over and couldn't stay focused. She jolt every now and again to keep herself from falling to the spell of shock.

vamp jumped through the window, shattering it. He whipped around an AK-58 he had strapped to his back. "Down!!!!!!" he screamed at Orin, and as Orin hit the deck, he unloaded in a fit of smoke, glass, and fury. "Die you S.O.B.! Go back under the rock you were spawned at!!!" The demon was now riddled with holes from the power of the automatic assault weapon.The beast had stiffened from the many nerve impulses, and fell to the ground. "Rowan! Oh god!" he screamed as he ran over to his bleeding friend. He tore a piece of his shirt and used a knife to make a tourniquet and wrapped it around her arm. "Here, RK, use these." he said and handed him two Uzis. "Cover me! I'm going to get her out of here! You, Moon, go to the hospital and find me a type O- transfusion blood bag! Hurry! We can still save her!" he said as he carried Rowan out of the area. "Hurry!" he shouted, "I mean it!"

Then catching the Uzis, he looked at them in disgust. Pocketing them he returned to his bats. "I didn't know we were trying to attracted the entire nest of Them." An Assassin flew from a building just in front of RK, and started right toward Vamp, just out of reach of RK bats. Faster then the blink of an eye, RK through a knife hitting the creature just behind the ear, instantly killing it. "Sir Vamp, you best run now, if you want to have a chance to save her, Fire Walkers on the way, at least three, and from the smell of it, angry. Sir Orin, please if you'd be so kind as to assist me in the elimination of the Fire Walkers. Wouldn't want them following us to safety." RK was now holding a bat in one hand and an Uzi in the other. "Now, let's kill these fiendish creature."

"Just get the blood!" he screamed as he ran out of the building with Rowan over his shoulder. "Meet at the restraunt!"

Orin saw someone holding Rowan and heading a different direction, which brought back his former emotions from the previous fight. He quickly caught up to the person and almost punched him in the face, but stopped just before it connected. "I don't know who you are, but I'm taking Rowan to my hide-out to get treated...or would you like to be carried there in a body bag?" He doesn't even bother about the Fire Walkers, someone he didn't know is carrying someone he was determined to protect.

'I swear everyone is deaf!' RK thinks to himself shaking his head. Rk waits on the road for the Fire Walkers as they grow ever closer.

Orin finally notices the Fire Walkers out of the corner of his eye and lets out a somewhat disgruntled sigh. "Stay here, or I'll maim or maul you and drag you to my hide-out to either die or get treated after Rowan..." He then turned his attention to one of the flame walkers and lunged at it. The other two leaped back and shot a few fireballs at him while the third was shocked that someone could tackle it to the ground.

Rowan somewhat conscious sees Orin in a distance. Subconsciously, she shouted for him. Fear in her tone, she began to panic. She was unaware that who she was calling was someone she had just met recently, but why did she has such a draw to him. She tried to move out of Vamp's hold but failed as a shot of pain jolted throughout her body. Her mind began to swim again as the pain numbed. She watched in a blur, flames dancing around and suddenly going out. Her eyes reflecting every motion.

heart pounding in chest, I sprint to the nearest hospital hoping I can get a blood bag in time. As I arrive the hospital is a diralect and abandoned.I break down the door and run through the hospital looking for the transusion freezer that contains blood packs. After some time searching i find the cooler luckily still powered on. As I sift through all the blood bags I find one that says O-,bingo.Also next to the bags I find an IV to inject the blood into Rowan. Once I have those I Sprint back to Rowan and the others hoping it isnt too late.

Rowan sees Moon coming towards her but doesn't acknowledge him. She continued to mutter Orin's name. Her voice fading after every call. She stared blankly into the sky. I'm going to die... I can feel it. I'm slowing down. My body can't live... She thought as the bleeding slowed. She fought to keep her eyes open.

He finishes off the fire walker he pinned down the a swipe to the jugular vein, and smashed ten of its ribs. He then gets up and looks around at the other two, who were now on the defense after seeing one of their own just mauled in front of them. "You can handle these two..." Orin ran over and snatched Rowan away from the wolf that was carrying her. "Don't die on me...not until I can get some more blood..." He somewhat cradled her in his arms as he was about to sprint towards his hide-out, which wasn't more than two blocks from here. But then he saw someone with blood packs running towards him...
He dashed towards that running figure, still holding onto Rowan.

Rowan seemed to relax once Orin was in her reach. She buried her face into his chest and clenched her teeth, the pain shooting all over her body from the rapid movements. She continued to fight for her life, her eyes opening rapidly every time they fell slightly. Her body started to shake again but not as rapid. Her breaths became shortened drastically.

pulls out the IV."I need to put this into your arm Rowan".Finds the vein on Rowans arm and puts the IV into it, then grabs the blood pack and attaches it to the IV and Holds the blood pack high so it will drip through the IV.

Orin looked (up/down) at the person with the IV and decided to bring something up. "Names Orin, I'm sorry for my outbursts earlier...I remembered something rather, unsettling about Rowan, and can we please get her to a more...survivable location?"

nods at Orin." don't worry about it. The name here is moon". Sniffs the air and can sense that reinforcements will come."yes lets get her somewhere safe".

Rowan let out an agonized wine, as a laugh followed. "It hurts... It's hard to breath," She said taking a loud gulp and breathing in gasps. She smiled weakly trying to seem alright.

Orin rolled his eyes "Then don't talk, save your energy..." He then looked at Moon. "We're heading to my hide-out, its basically a fall-out shelter with a med center attached to it, the doors are sealed and are made of twelve inch thick titanium alloy, its the safest place I can think of to hide out while treating Rowan..." He then made the first step past Moon in the direction of the hide-out, waiting for him to follow suit.

Vamp tried to comfort her as he stroked her hair. "It's okay. You're going to be fine. Don't die on me Rowan!!!" he said and searched the metal shelves across the room, when he found what he was searching for, he ran back the Rowan. "Here, these will help with the pain. Just try to sleep for now." he said as he gave her a dose of tranquilizers.

Rowan nodded and shut her eyes, tired of fighting it. She breathed slowly as she completely relaxed her body. Her heart rate calm drastically and kept a weak, even beat. her face still buried in Orin's chest.

*sits down in a chair and relaxes*"we were very lucky to make it out of there alive...Next time we are out we need to be more aware of scouts, If we woulda stopped that one lurking around in the park we wouldn't have gotten into such a mess".

"Well I don't know what happened, I was at a little armory that I found, but keep an eye on Rowan. She really needs that blood."

Orin held the blood pack in his mouth, while carrying Rowan towards a hospital bed, he then set her down and grabbed an IV stand to put the blood pack on. "Sorry, but I'll need some privacy for this..." He moved the bed and stand into the med-center, and closed the door, locking it to prevent anyone from interrupting his procedure. "Now all I need is a skin graft for the shoulder, and to re-stitch that wound properly before it gets worse." He periodically looked back at her to make sure she didn't get any worse.

"So...What do we do now?" he asked Moon "Should we go help RK?"

Her eyes flew open. "You have to what? It's just a chunk.. it'll come back!" She panicked. Worry in her eyes, she flickered to his. She closed her eyes and sighed dramatically.

looks to vamp."I don't know, its still dangerous out there and last time I saw him he was in the park where we were attacked and that place is hot with hostiles".

He came back with the stitches, and the skin-like subsitute. "Trust me, it'll heal much faster when it has something to grow into...and now for the sitches you so recklessly pulled out" He smirked at her while delicatley inserting the needle and weaving in the stitch. "these forms may have enhanced healing...but its not instantaneous...so please don't be reckless, not like you were with those jobs before the 'wave'...."

"How did you know what I...." She looked at him, her words falling short. "How do you know about that..." She watched him stitch her up.

He leaned down and whispered into her ear "Because I was your boyfriend...who couldn't get a stable job no matter how hard he tried..." he then looked back at the girl dragon, who was now acting as his nurse. "Go get some morphine, but preferably a small dosage, can't have the patient pass out before the procedure is done..."

looks to the med-center and wonders whats going on inside with Rowan when a sudden question comes to mind."Vamp.......what do you know about the 'wave'?......"

Rowan fell completely silent. She looked at the ground. "But..." Was all she could say. She sat up and looked him in the eyes. Her eyes shifed back and forth looking for more answers. She lay back down and shut her eyes, deep in thought. "Why did you leave?" She finally said, breaking the silence. Her tone seemingly calm but oddly fierce.

He looked at Moon "Not much. I think at may have been some kind of massive radioactive burst. That would explain the mutation, but not why we were not affected."

is very intrigued with the 'wave'." A radioactive burst huh..do you know where it originated?"

"I honestly don't have a clue at all." He said with a slight grin.

Orin took the needle of morphine the girl had, and injected it into Rowan's right bicep. "I left because I didn't want you to do all of that work just to support the both of us..." He then put a nutrient paste on her shoulder, and placed the 'skin' over it, lifting Rowan up to where the top of her shoulders were paralell to the ground. "I always cared about you...the break-up was in hopes that you would give up some of your extra jobs, putting less stress on you...but I see that back-fired because it wasn't even a day after that the 'wave' occoured...."

Rowan winced at the needle entered, injecting fluid into her arm. "I wasn't stressed. I chose do to what I was doing... It would have been smart if we both decided to go to College..." She joked her arm falling a bit numb. "Please tell me I'm going to look normal after this heals..." She said shutting her eyes.

He smiled and kissed her cheek before replying "Define 'normal'...." He then wrapped gauze around the stitches and pulled out a chair for him to sit on. "Is there any other wounds I should know about, or should I just search?"

Her face froze with shock. She looked over at him and smiled weakly. "Normal... as in before I became a yummy snack for a demon. I think my back was torn but I can't remember. The wound that was on her chest had stopped bleeding but was deep and in need of stitching. "That's the only major one..." She continued to look at him, still shocked.

"You have a point, Moon. If we did find it, We could find out how to wipe them out for good."

"Well, the shoulder will grow back to normal...and as long as it doesn't scar, you'll grow your shoulder fur back out too, now this might hurt, since the morphine still hasn't kicked in yet..." He begins to stitch together the stitch on her chest, trying to avoid her shocked gaze. "I actually did go to college, but the tuition was already paid, I landed an internship at a hosptol that had badly injured people regularly...so I learned quickly on how to perform surgery"

"Ya know, we can hear ya through the door!" vamp shouted, laughingly

"Right..." she winced as he stitched her chest. She shut her eyes and began to breath slowly, her heart beat steadying. "I wish you didn't leave..." She muttered softly, inaudible for the others outside. Her eyes remained shut. The tugging of the stitches caused her to wince once more as she let out a sigh. She smiled weakly and shouted back to Vamp. "Yea... and we can here you! And I believe you are mistaken about the 'WAVE'!" She relaxed and laughed.

"Well, he was right about what the 'wave' is...but completely wrong about what it does...if you're not human or sentient, you became 'them'....so it would be impossible to trace it to the source since there is no clear concentration of 'them' in any area..." He finished up the stitches and while closing his eyes, started from the top of the stitch and wrapped her torso in gauze , tying it off inside the wrap. "I wouldn't suggest too much moving for at least an hour, it would be five days, but you already know what the 'wave' did to our regeneration speed" He went to the sink, washing his hands and then looked back at the dragoness, who was now lying against Rowan's bed. "So...would you like something to eat before getting up?"

"Vamp pulled a small flask filled with sake out of his coat and knocked on the large steel door. "Rowan, I have some sake if you want some." he said as he took a sip.

Rowan's hears perked. "I'm alright... but thank you." She looked at Orin. Her eyes somewhat sad. She smiled weakly and nodded. She her eyes and quickly fell asleep. The blood loss had tired her to an unbearable extent. She hugged the pillow she had been resting on and murred softly.

Orin saw the nod and went to a nearby cabinet, pulling out a plastic bag filled with various slabs of meat he cut from the cat-demons. He put a slab in a pan and put the pan in the oven since the med-room also doubled as a kitchen. He set it for medium-rare and added some spices before closing the oven door, and sitting on the bed next to Rowan, waiting for the meal to finish cooking.

Rowan jolted awake. "What did I miss...?" She asked, morphine fully affecting her. She wobbled a bit and lied back down. She noticed that gauze had replaced her shirt. "Oh... right," She said remembering. She looked at Orin and smiled, her eyes danced with happiness.

He looked down and saw her eyes. "I take it either the morphine kicked in...or you're just happy to see me.." The food was still cooking, but it was halfway finished.

"A little bit of both..." She sighed. Her voice was weak. She sat up and looked around. "Do you ever regret leaving?" She asked, her tone hushed.

She took one of his hands. Suddenly, Her original human form took over. Her brown hair fell in front of her tan face, her blue eyes shining. "I didn't want you to leave..." She smiled and kissed his cheek. She touched his face gently. She let go and got out of the bed. Her height smaller compared to her Anthro form. "Well that's a drastic change," She laughed.

Orin laughed also "I don't change much in height, but considering what grows out of my back, I guess I don't need to change in height". He heard the oven alarm go off and went to go get the meal, taking a pair of gloves and opening the oven to pull out the meat. He then closed the oven door and took off his gloves as he grabbed a pan to put the meat on. "Since I don't have any forks or knives that arn't used in surgery...I suggest you eat this in your feral state...or will I have to teach you how to shift back and forth?"

"I don't even know how I managed to get back to this one" She said embarrassed. "It's been forever since I've seen my tan skin." She looked at Orin. "It's nice not having a tail though." She smiled. Rowan pulled out two knives that she had not used before. "Will this do?" She asked holding them out.

"Sure...but I'd perfer you knew this since your anthro form requires more food than the human form to live the same amount of time" He then tried to change his hands into claws, but as soon as he changed the hands, everything else followed in a ripple-like fashion. "I'm still working on specific transformation...but I guess thats asking for too much" he chuckled as he petted the girl dragon's head, who just woke up when she sniffed the meat. "So...got a name?" Orin asked, tilting her head up to his. "Uh-huh, its Sira..." she replied, quickly getting up and tackling Orin. "...and big brother Orin is going to make some food for me too, right?" Orin gave her a wierded out and slightly shocked face. "Wait, when did I become your brother?!"

"I don't recall you having a little sister...." Rowan concentrated on her anthro form and with that she was a wolf again. "Yay!" She jumped. She stopped and calmed down. She quickly went to feral and ate the meat. When she finished she went back to her human. "It's easier than I thought..." Rowan stood and opened the door. She spotted Vamp and smiled. "So... What are your plans on this 'wave' crap?" She asked.

"Since I said so...and theres nothing you can do about it" she joked. "Oh really?" He bared his fangs, the only part he can't change back, or preferred not to change back. The girl screamed in mock fear as Orin wrestled around with her. "Aieee, stop Orin!" Orin stopped and pulled out a slab that he already had prepared for himself, and gave a bit to her while eating his own share. "Fine, since I'm probably the closest you can get to a big brother without being related..."

Vamp sat outside the door. He had just realized what had happened. Rowan was with Orin again. He knew he didn't have a chance now. He took a long gulp of sake and lit a strawberry cigar. "See ya, Moon. I'll be at the restraunt." He said as he walked out the door and into the alleyway. As he walked, he thought of Rowan, of the wave, of his life before the wave, and of them. he ran into a swarm of them, unretracted his claws, and unleashed his anger in a storm of fury, blood and screaming. As he slashed and tore at the flesh of them, blood stained his clothes and matted his fur. He didn't care, he just screamed, slashed and killed. He was soaked with the blood of them. All he could smell was death and blood by the time he was finished. He slowly made his way back to his home and went into to shower. As the water beat on his face, his fur still contained a slight red tint. He washed himself and went to make a small batch of napalm to go and help RK. As he walk into the back room with a can of gasoline, he saw a fire walker. "Oh S-" he couldn't even finish what he had started to say before the fire walker had charged at him. He ran out of the restraunt and had the gas with him. The beast had tackled him about 40 feet from outside the door. *spark* "Damn." he said as the fuel ignited and exploded.The flames engulfed and killed the beast and had sprayed on Vamp. He screamed as his arm was set ablaze by the freak accident. He ran to a small puddle and splashed water onto his arm, putting it out, but not before it had burned partway through the skin. Vamp screamed and cursed aloud as his arm was charred and useless. he ran into the bathroom and grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol to wash his wound with. As he washed his wound, his wrapped it in gauze and secured it to his chest, in a makeshift sling. He screamed in pain an ran to his room, he searched his drawer and found what he was looking for. A small vial of knockout gas, he opened the vial and quickly inhaled the gas. He was out before he could exhale. There he lied, on the bed in an unconscious state.

Rowan walked past Vamp and out to the streets. The sun beat down heavily as she sat on the curb. She toyed with the gauze wrapped around her small body. "It's strange not looking at fur," she said analyzing her arms. She stood when she heard the explosion. "What the hell!" She ran, forgetting Orin's orders. Blood began to seep onto the gauze. Damn it.. There better be someone still alive for all of this... She ran and saw Vamp, but she stood distant. His scent gave off that of a killer. She stopped and saw more of 'Them'. "Oh sh... " Her words faded as she ran back to the shelter. Her wounds re-opening. "Oh he's going to kill me..." Rowan said running with all her might. "Orin!" She shouted.

Orin saw Rowan run off, and annoyed that she still is running around with all of those wounds, he went out about two minutes after she ran away, partially expecting her to have fallen from the re-opened wounds. But when he went up, he saw Rowan running back, with 'them' quickly following behind. "What about a whole hour do you not understand?!" He made sure the dragoness was inside the shelter before taking more steps forward. As soon as Rowan got within arms reach, he pushed her inside, not nearly enough force to push her down as he closed the door behind him. He unsheated his wings and made a rather intimidating roar, stopping the advance of 'them', while some of 'them' ran away in fear of their lives.

Rowan collapsed to the pain. "Damn it!" She shouted. She saw Sira. "Oh.. I'm sorry..." She stood and saw that her shoulder was fine but her chest was bleeding again. "Ehh... that'll stop soon." She said removing some of the gauze to analyze it. She re-applied the gauze and sat on the bed. "I can't sit still for an hour... he should know that." She said angrily.

"He just doesn't want you to pick a fight or go into a full sprint for an hour, thats probably why he wants us in a place that can't be easily reached" Sira spoke up, trying to think of Orin's reason for being angry at Rowan. Orin was still outside, fighting a rather unique mix of trackers, they all vary in size and fur color, but they are all after him for the same reason: Hes behind the death of quite a few fire walkers, and managed to match with an assassin, killing it when it finnaly started to tire out. Orin was annoyed at their tenacity, and did a sweep kick, sending a few away while he opened the shelter door and slammed it shut when he got inside.
"Please don't do that again...if you're honestly that bored...you can help me fix some weapons I salvaged from nearby gun-shops" He locked the door and pointed towards a crate filled with guns, but some of them had dented parts, while others desprately needed cleaning.

Rowans blue eyes shined. Anger flooded her loud sigh. She sat on the bed and played with her hair. She looked at the ground, refusing to make eye contact with Orin.

Orin actually felt like an idiot for the first time since the 'wave' when he saw Rowan sit on the bed. "Look, is an hour all that much....theres twenty-four of them in the whole day...or would you rather be a complete human, and have to wait from two days to two weeks for your injuries to heal?" He sat down next to he and kissed her on the cheek. "You can still kick and punch, just not to an extreme...or I can take all these bandages off and let you go wild and see how long you last" His tone went from being caring to monotone when he thought he wasn't getting anywhere with being his regular self.

Rowan looked at him. "I miss the way things were... I have never been able to hold back. When something needed to be done, I did it. No questions asked. Injured or not... I put my all into everything I did. Extreme is the only way I know." She took his large hand in her small hand and held it tightly. Her eyes saddened again. "I thought I lost you... It's bad enough Tristan died..." She said softly. She turned and faced him. "You should know that I can't relax," She said smiling half heartily.

"when I felt the changes of the 'wave', I actually felt like this was supposed to happen, and that I wanted this...for awhile I lived in a somewhat blissful ignorance of my past and future, then I met Sira...and remembered you, now I just wish things were like before, but I would actually be able to hold a good job" He lied down on the bed, and tugged Rowan down on top of him, not causing any wounds or sitches to open. "I know you can't relax...but its been awhile since you actually had sleep, right?"

He shifted his weight so that she would be lying her head on his neck and the rest is just paralell. "If you didn't have all those wounds, we could do more than just sleep...but I doubt you'll want to even if you are physically unharmed"

Leaning against a wall nearby I watched as the two slept and began to think of my last love victoria. Man I missed her, If only I could be with her one more time it would be the best experience in a long time. Since I couldn't sleep I decided to stay on watch and keep everyone safe that night.As I watched the sun down I began to recollect the experiences of my life and what it was that I was fighting for.....Actually I couldn't think of anything worth fighting for. Maybe I should just go out and die, at least I would finally be reunited with my dead parents...No, I musn't think of such thoughts. I began to think of my previous life and how I had a plan to go to college and become a physisist,but that dream was smashed to pieces when 'them' came.
I began to feel very bored and decided to get some exercise in. I took a run through the city sticking to the shadows away from 'them'. After some time of running I saw A ladder and did some chin ups, and pull ups; then I did sit ups and pushups til I was too tired to too many more. After those exercises I climbe up the ladder and got up on the top of the building. As I looked out I beheld the darkness of the city. High in the sky I saw the moon bright as could be. It was so beutiful the moon, I couldn't take my eyes of it it. My body lit up and I howled a deep and loud howl to the moon. After the echoes of it faded I got off of the roof and ran back to the others to continue watching over them.

Rowan twitched as her dreams played. Her brother's death replayed in her mind. Suddenly the dream flashed and she was back at the park. The demon lunged at her and bit a chunk out of her. She winced awake and sat up. She looked at Orin and relaxed a bit.

RK stands his ground in front of the Fire Walkers. The approach him slowly, but with death in their eyes. "Bring it... pussy cat!" RK says smiling at the Fire Walkers. They begin to circle him, RK calmly stands motionless with two knives in hand. One is a meat cleaver, the other a normal blade, both well sharpened. A fire walker behind him, stops moving, this is what RK had waited for. The Cat jumps at him, and with a swift motion he dodges, his cloak waving in the motion, and the Kitchen knife was brought up into the creature. The cat's momentum plunged the blade and deep, and as it continued the blade cut the cat open from neck to tail. The cat lands on it's feet, then falls over dead, it's organs spilling from it's body. "And now you..." RK smiles at the last Fire Walker. It snarls at him as it circles him, but this time RK mirrors the cat's movements, and circles opposite of it. "Come on, jump at me, I want you to meat my good friend meat cleaver. The cat stares at him, and stops. It doesn't jump, in fact it seems to look behind RK. Sniffing the air, he could smell nothing, but the beast seemed fixed on something in the distance. RK not sure of what it was looking at, quickly looked backwards. The cat used this moment to tackle RK to the ground. It brought it's claw up quickly, and as it began to swipe down, RK says, "Axe to the face." Pulling an Axe out of his cloak he began to swing it just as the walker brought it's claw down. The fire walker fell to the side of RK. "Can't touch this," RK says sniffing the air, he could smell blood, Rowan's blood. "Oh good, a bread crumb trail to lead every freaking one of Them to my new group. Son of a biscuit." RK followed the scent making sure not to lose it. Eventually he sees the group in a circle around Rowan, but a sniff of the air reassures RK that she is in fact still living. Walking towards them he says, "Both Fire Walkers are currently dead in every sense of the word, is there any other way I may be of assistance, Sir Vamp, Sir Moon, or Sir Orin?"

Orin was still asleep, his wings wrapped around Rowan, probably a side-effect of a pleasant dream.

RK looks down at the unconscious Rowan and Orin, 'Hey, that rhymes sorta, he thinks to himself.' Leaning down, he nudges Orin's shoulder and says, "Sir Orin, wake up, we got need to hide somewhere good, there's going to be assassins all over us an hour or so if we don't move now." This was a mild exaggeration, but the problem was that, the blood had left a smell that one of Them might be able to pick up, and trace back to him. Suddenly, a smell, the same smell he had smelled before the attack at the park. 'That must some sort of tracker, or scout, never heard of one of Them doing that. But that means we have about ten minutes to get the hell out of this place before they find us, and maul them to death, or atleast try.'

Sees Rowan surrounded and jumps out to protect her. Out in the distance I see RK and I yell." I am here to assist".

RK motions wildly for Moon to get over to them. He is mouthing out, "Shut up, shut up, if they hear us, they won't need the tracker, and they'll be here in no time." RK suffers from a slight twitch at how some of the people here act. Back in Maryland, he would have been shot for yelling.

Rowan lied her head on his chest and fought to keep her eyes open. She couldn't let her mind fall to the darkness of her nightmares. She began to think about Orin and her past. She shut her eyes and began to dream, sweet dreams.

RK talks quietly to moonraiser, "Sir Moon, I'm going to have to ask you not not yell anymore, those things have sensitive ears, and they're probably already on their way. We've got two unconscious people we need to protect. We will fight as silently as possible to prevent any extra of Them coming to maul us. Clear? Now, I want you to stand back to back with me, and if you see anything, whisper. One more thing, when I saw duck, duck, when I saw right, step right, when I say left, step left, I will do the same if you ask me too. Now have you got all that?"

"Good man," RK responds standing up and turning his back to Moon. They stand next to the bodies waiting for the predictable onslaught of pain and suffering that will be wrought in the form of claws and teeth. The air began to fill with the smell of them. RK removes his cloak, and puts it over Orin and Rowan hiding them to the best of his ability, and saying, "If you can hear me, just stay quiet and don't move." Standing back up he places his back to Moon. "They're close now."

sniffs the air and can sense them coming. Readying my claws I prepare to fight with tenacity and protect everyone at all costs.

Rowan sat up and got off of the bed. She went to the nearest mirror and fixed her hair. She then touched her flawless face gently. No fur to be found. "Wow... I managed to remain, without changing." She said to herself, happily. She walked over to Orin and kissed him gently on the forehead. She sat on the edge of the bed and ruffled her hair gently.

Random holds a hatchet in his right hand, and a meat cleaver in the other. His pants are lined with miscellaneous other sharp objects and hammers, lots things to throw, just random junk, but in the right hands, deadly weapons.

Orin started to stir, part of his body being human, while the other part is winged wolf. "Great, I guess its possible while i'm asleep, but not awake" He then looked at Rowan and kissed her on the cheek. "I think more than enough time has passed, all your wounds should be healed now..."

She smiled, completely having forgotten about her torso that had been wrapped in gauze. "So I can put my shirt back on.." She joked. She began to remove the gauze from her stomach, slowly unraveling it up. She paused when she met her chest. "Uh... I'll be over here." She pointed and ran over to the corner and continued removing it entirely. "Can you through me my clothing please?" She asked covering herself.

Orin grins and grabs her shirt, tossing it towards Rowan and just amazed that she's still just as forgetful as before.

"Um... I kind of need my bra too. Smarta..." She caught her shirt and held it over her. She turned and faced Orin, waiting patiently.

RK, holds his hatchet firmly, under his cloak that he never took off, didn't happen. Assassins, at least ten of them, circling the two of them quietly. One in every direction. RK waits for the first to attack. A cool breeze blows over the soon to be battlefield. RK's eyes keep sharp, and watch every direction for any sign of movement. Then he sees it, a quick flash just enough. "One right in front of me." He whispers to Moon.

sees the one in front of RK and with a curved motion slices it across the neck spilling blood everywhere, then I smell one behind me."behind me RK"!

RK cleaves the the heck out of the freaks neck, and beheads it. "Duck!" RK says ducking as an assassin jumps at him.

ducks and raises claws up that catch the assasins stomach spilling guts everywhere.

"Nice catch Sir Moon," RK laughs. Two assassins jump from opposite directions, one in front of RK, and the other in front of Moon. RK quickly brings his hatchet down hitting the Assassin right between the eyes.

with a swipe of my claws I cut the muscle in the assasins right arm. It yells in pain and swings madly at me but I duck and nick its other arm.Withought use of its arms I close in and decapitate it.

"Still a few more," RK says sniffing the air. One jumps from the tree above RK. RK, brings his arm out of his cloak, it now wielding a baseball bat, the bat comes around in a half circle and makes contact with the beasts jaw, flipping it around so it lands, on it's back. While prone, RK, brings his bat down on the beast again and again, blood splattering everywhere, and on him. Breathing deeply he calms down, and lowers his arms back into his cloak.

one of the assassin jumps onto me and cut deep into my arm. I howl with pain and throw it off me then curb stomp its head."those little suckers hurt".*grits teeth and continues on.

"Well Sir Moon, there's only one left. I'm not sure where he is, but it is close." Suddenly the Assassin jumps out at them. It was hiding in the ground. It bites into RK's legs and seems to lock it's jaw. RK bites his lip. Breathing deeply, he pulls a meat tenderizer out of his cloak. "I am going to enjoy this, so much more then I should." He looked down at the assassin, and smashed it's skull in. However, his leg was now in pain, and just killing the beast was not enough to make up for the pain. So RK continues to beat the thing until it is, to be put simple, very tender. "That really hurt," RK said rubbing his leg. "But atleast they're all dead."

"I'm sorry Sir Moon, but with all the stuff I do have in this cloak, gauze and aspirin get used up so fast I never have any." RK said shrugging. Hey, we should get back to the house, maybe there's some there.

Orin looks under the sheets and finds the bra, then looks at the size. "Wow...didn't know you were this big!" He laughed before tossing the bra towards Rowan.

Rowan glared at him and finished getting dressed. "Way to be mature about it..." She said putting her thigh holster on, putting her gun and dagger in it. She then pulled on her combat boots and walked over to the Mirror. She fixed her shorts and top and looked at Orin.

He sticks his tongue out and gets up. "When have you ever known me to be completely mature?" He doesn't need to put on clothes since he was already wearing his tattered lab coat and black baggy jeans.

"You're right... never," She smirks she slides her crystal into the back pocket of her tight black short shorts. She then fixes her hair and puts eyeliner on. She looks at him and smiles and walks out of the shelter. Her tan skin is sprinkled with a mist of sweat as she starts running down the street.

He quickly follows her out, with Sira quickly latching onto his shoulders. "Can't even wait for me to catch up with her, can she?" his talon-like foot-claws dig into the cement and give his footing more traction, allowing him to cross a distance at a faster rate while still keeping the same pace as Rowan.

She stops quickly and and scales a building. She jumped from fire escape to fire escape. "I forgot who well I could move," She laughed landing on the top of the building. She started running and jumped to the other building rolling to help land easier. she continued to run among the tops of building. She came upon a block and jumped to a fire escape, flipping backwards and landing on the ground. "I love being myself again," She smiled and waited for Orin to catch up.

Orin saw her scale a building, jump from fire escape to fire escape, then land back on the ground. Show off... he thought as he changed from running on the ground, to now running paralell to the ground...by running on the side of the building walls. He quickly caught up to Rowan by going from sprinting on the wall to performing a series of mini-lunges. "You hop up buildings, I run up them" He then stopped when he got a fair distance ahead of her, his feet still hooked into the walls.

She stopped in front of the restaurant and entered inside. She called for Vamp. "Hello?" She looked around and then went to his room. She lightly knocked on the door. "Vamp? Are you in here?" she asked, her hair falling into her face.

Vamp was now conccious and heard Rowan calling. "Hi, how have you been?" he asked, sarcastically.

Rowan looks at him angrily. "Don't give me that... I can't help what I'm feeling. Alright?" She stood in the doorway.

Orin climbed up the restaurant, keeping himself out of sight of Vamp while keeping an eye on Rowan.

arrives back to the house after that fight with the assassins. As I go inside I look for some medical supplies as one of those creatures sliced me pretty good in the arm. I find the medical room and clean my wound with hydrogen pyroxide which hurts like hell, then I find a needle and thread and stitch it up with hurts even more. After that I wrap it up with gauze and decide to lay down and sleep.

Rowan's eyes were intense as she looked at him. Vamp looked at her. "What do you want from me? You have your love back. Go be with him!" He shouted. She looked at him angrily and threw her arms in the air. "I want you to stop hating me for it! I thought I lost him and I was trying to move on! You think this doesn't surprise me in the least bit!? I didn't even know who he was..." She looks at the ground. "Leave... I can't talk to you right now." He said walking away from her. She let out an annoyed growl and stormed off. She opened the door and slammed is shut. She walked out onto the streets and sat down and put her face in her hands.

Orin started to hate himself when he saw the short dispute end. Great, I show up just in time to keep her from moving on... He released his foot claws and fells off the wall and landed a distance from Rowan, making sure nothing attacks her, but letting her have some space.

I don't want to move on... She thought to herself. She stood and took a deep breath. "Orin... Do you still... love me?" She asked avoiding eye contact.

"Yes...but I wouldn't have said anything if I knew you were already with someone..." Orin drapes his wings around himself.

"I'm not... He wanted me to be with him.. but I couldn't let go. I get hope got the best of me..." She looked at the ground and kicked a pebble. She looked at him and ruffled her hair. "He hates me..." She looked up at the window and back at the ground. Vamp sat on his bed and shouted. "Damn it... Why did he have to show up!? I thought we had something..." He lay back and shut his eyes. Rowan smiled slightly and began to walk.

"Well, I still have...have you been holding on the entire time?!" Orin looks behind himself and sees Sira holding onto her shoulders. "I'm sorry for letting you be alone for this long...its been almost a year since the 'wave' occoured, so I guess you would have a few reasons to give up on me" He quickly gets behind her and puts a hand on her shoulder. Rowan smiles. "Why would I let go?" She smiled. "Sure... But I think I'm going to stay in this form. Make it more interesting," She laughed. She ran towards the park, doing a back hand spring just because. "I love being able to do this," she said doing a cartwheel then a flip. She runs and jumps up the fence and drops to the other side.

Orin didn't bother with acrobatics, if he could plow or leap over something, he didn't have to be fancy about it. He quickly crossed the distance, and grabbed the top of the fence, pulling himself up and over it and landing with a thud, even though he landed on his feet.

Rowan ran into the forest and attempted to climb a tree. "It's a lot harder with out claws" She laughed hanging onto a branch and pulling herself up.

Orin changes back to prove that acrobatics isn't everything as he grabbed onto the bark and using his grip strength to get up to the branch, then doing fifty quick chin-ups before pulling himself onto the branch. "Not really, strength is most of it..."

Rowan smirks in annoyance. "Yeah yeah yeah, So you can do some fancy chin ups..." She pulls her self up and wraps her legs around hanging upside down. She starts to do vertical crunches. She grabbed on and unhooked her legs and pulled herself up. She sat with the branch between her legs and faced Orin.

Orin only grinned at what he assumed was a challenge. He let one leg dangle while another hooked onto the branch. He then started doing really slow vertical crunches, going all the way to his leg, and then relaxing just as slow. His body wasn't even shaking after ten of them which he soon hooked the other leg back on and sat upright, swinging his leg around so he could face Rowan. "Got anymore?"

Rowan smirked and propped herself up by her arms. She went into a straddle and did a hand stand. She then moved her legs together and did a split, her one foot touching her head. "Lets see you do this," She laughed. She quickly resumed her sitting position and waited.

Orin had a very unnerved expression on his face ( o.O ) when he saw Rowan do a split. "I don't think I want to..."

Rowan let out a laugh and jumped down. "Come on... lets hunt." A scurry was heard from a distance. Rowan smirked and pulled her gun. She ran deep into the forest. A haze began to settle on the forest floor, making it easier to hide.

Orin falls off the branch and lands with a thud when he tries to get off. He then gets on his feet and follows Rowan into the forest, but instead of using a gun, he climbs into the nearby trees again, and reaches into his coat, pulling out a pair of claw-like weapons.

Rowan looked around, only being able to hear. This is impossible without scent... She thought as she continued forward cautiously.

All that can indicate Orin's movements is the almost faint rustling in the trees as he keeps pace with Rowan.

The haze began to thicken and rise higher. "Not cool..." She said looking around, almost blinded by the think fog. She was now out of sight of Orin. A roar was let out as birds flew over head. "Stay calm.. don't lose your cool." Rowan said to herself, proceeding deeper.

He decided to stop fooling around as a human and change into something more suited to hunting without sight. The rustles in the trees increased in volume as he trekked through the trees in his anthro form, tracking Rowan by scent.

Rowan stayed in her human form. She wanted to push her own abilities. A cat jumped on the back of her. She fell and rolled over, placing herself on top of it. It's claws released and it scurried to its feet. Rowan pulled her gun and shot three shots, blood flying from the point blank shot. She let out a sigh of relief and put her gun away. She continued forward.

Orin was within sight of Rowan; this gave him some reasoning to change back into his human state but before he could get off the tree, an assassin class demon cat pummled him out of the tree. Still human, Orin was running on almost half of his full potential in terms of strength, but he was still agile enough to land on his feet while flying out of the tree. He saw Rowan not far from the tree he was knocked out of "Get away, they sent an assassin!" Orin drew out his claws, because wether he was strong or not, bashing the assassin is nowhere near as effective as cutting or clawing.

Rowan went feral and tackled the assassin off of Orin. She pinned it down for a moment, her teeth sunk into its shoulder. The cat kicked her off and sent into a tree. "Damn!" She got back up and charged at it again and rammed it into a tree. Rowan stood and turned to face it. She pulled her gun and shot it quickly. The cat let out a frightened moan as it's life slowly slipped away. Rowan let another shot go and finished the cat off. "Come on Orin... Let's get outta here." She held out her hand and helped him up.

Orin got up and immedeatly pulled his arm away. "sorry, I just don't feel safe now...if they sent an assassin after me, they probably painted some kind of target on me..." he puts his claw weapons away and changed into his anthro form and started heading back, following the trees he traveled through.

Rowan flinched as he pulled away. She followed behind him quietly. She saw the end of the forest and the park. It was clear, no cats anywhere in sight.

When Orin reached the end of the forest, he turned around and faced Rowan. "If you plan on using guns...then what are you going to do when you run out of bullets to use?" He smilled as he flashed his claw weapons from ealier, they fitted like a glove and looked like talons made of steel. "I had to make these from scratch, but they really come in handy when I get stuck in human form" He put them away and went towards a partially constructed building.

RK is back at the house, and when there, he wraps his leg so that it won't bleed to bad. "Those little hooligans got my leg good," RK said to himself. After completing that task, he looks around the house for the people he was with. "Hello? Hello?" He calls while walking around the safe house. "Now if I were a teenage boy and girl in love, where would I be..." RK began to think, then realized what they're probably doing,and pushed the thought from his head. "Got dang teenagers, can't just be mature adults." RK, decides to eat something, and finds random Asian style foods in the fridge. "I'll be hungry in half an hour, but oh well," he says grabbing some bits and pieces of stuff and feasting on it. After he finished eating he was starting to get bored. "Where is everyone," RK says now playing finger-stab with his cleaver. Putting the cleaver away, he leaves the house in search of people. But first yelling, "Sir Moon, I'm taking my leave to find entertainment, be back later." And with that he exited the house and started to roam the streets sniffing the air for the familiar scent of Rowan, Orin, or Vamp.

more dreams of pain and suffering as I dream of the bloody fights and the mending of my sliced arm. I awake all groggy and see the house still empty, Where is everyone? I stand up and walk to the bathroom and take a look at my arm. From the looks it has healed quite fast, thank god for my fast healing. I go to the fridge and sees asian food all over in it. "what are these people, asian?"
Feeling a sense of possible danger I decide to go back out and look for them. As I exit the building I catch RK's scent and decide to follow it first.

RK sniffs the air, there was a familiar smell in the air, Moon. He seems content, RK stops and looks back, then starts thinking about how he can smell people before they even get near him.

sniffs the air and can smell RK nearby and pick up speed to catch up to him. As a get closer a trip on something and fall, ouch. Picking my self up I stand and continue my pursuit getting closer and closer.

RK continues to think. 'Maybe the way I smell things in the fourth dimension, but they have to be close to fulfilling that fourth dimensional existence in order for me to smell them. Maybe I actually just sense them, and it done in the form of smell. Meh, Magic.' Shrugging RK taps his foot in waiting for Moon.

"No not really Sir Moon, I'd much enjoy your company anyway," RK said turning and continuing to walk. "So where do you think these new friends of ours have gone?"

"We just came from Vamp's place I think?" RK says continuing to walk. "All we need to find the others is to find where the trail of blood that Rowan girl left is. It should be around here somewhere." He sniffs the air, and turns a corner to see the dead fire walkers rotting away. "That's disgusting," he says covering his nose. He walks to where they set her down, and a pool of dry blood remains.

Rowan followed Orin and turned back to human form. She walked slowly and hummed a light tune.She decided to take a walk around the lake, walking close to the waters edge. She continued to hum, smiling happily.

He followed her to the edge and looked at himself in the water's reflection. "You know, I was actually hoping to become this, but I was disappointed when I got fur instead of scales"

Rowan looked back at him. The sun glinted off her crystal blue eyes. "I grew weary of being furry... I longed to feel my soft skin again. Seeing you helped that... I'm not sure as to why yet." She looked at the water and picked up a flat rock. She tossed it gently, the rock gliding and skipping across the water.

"Because he still loves you. The Wave didn't change that." Vamp said as he stepped out of the fog. "Rowan, if you still want to be with him, I understand." he continued, "If he's the one you love, love him. Who am I to interfer."

Orin looked at Vamp and felt a twinge of nervousness at exactly how he changed his mood so fast. He then looked back at Rowan "You know....you kinda look cuter as a wolf, it really improves on your eyes too...not that there was anything wrong with them to begin with"

looks at orin and Rowan then sighs."Well at least you guys have the ability to change human, I will always be a wolf". Walks away frustrated with them.

"Oh... so I'm not cute human?" She asked jokingly. She looked at Vamp. Her eyes flickered. "I'll talk to you later..." She said, her tone stern.

RK sniffs the blood, but as he smells it, he smells a cleaner scent drifting in from the lake they were attacked at. RK sprints toward the source of the smell until he arrives at the lake and looks out to see, Rowan, Vamp, and Orin, all standing. There was an air of awkwardness around them. He could smell the nervousness, and the mild confusion amongst them. He could smell that there was an issue, and a very awkward one at that, amongst them. Shrugging, RK approaches waving his hand at them and smiling as usual.

He snickered at her question and tackled her down, spining in mid-grab just in time to land on his back. "Of course, its just the fur and the tail improve on it!"

*Kistrev opened his eyes, groaning he clutched his head in his paws... he'd fallen unconscious again, not cool.... he attempted even a light stretch with his leg, even his ear hurt with a stabbing pain.... he looked blearerly up from the floor beside the couch where had fallen off.... he whimpered misserably as he attempted to pull himself up back onto the couch.... as he pulled himslelf up he took a deep swig of the slivovica in his hip flask, wincing at the burning liquor he looked round to see who was there...*

Rowan smiled gently. Her form quickly changing. "Is that better?" Her tail gently brushed his nose. "I have to go check on someone. I'll be back in a bit." She got up and went feral, darting towards the restaurant. She entered and Kistrev. "How are you feeling?" She asked walking over to him and sitting down. She smiled and rubbed his back gently.

He saw her run off, and when he looked out by the lake again, he truly relaxed. but it was too much for this certain era as a bodysnatcher, sent by her higher-ups to 'convince' Orin to join their hunt, was in a nearby tree. As Orin was looking out, he didn't see the bodysnatcher leap and go inside his body, his gasp being the only alarm he could give off before complete takeover. Hmmm....I can see why they want him badly, not many have this kind of strength... She flexed Orin's fingers, getting used to having a bipedal form, then waited for Rowan to show up to reduce suspicion if possible.

Rowan stood and smiled. "I'll be back. Just holler if you need me." She exited and ran back to Orin. She saw him and smiled. She ran over to Orin and stopped. His aura had changed. She bared her teeth and let out a loud, fierce growl.

She grinned when she heard the growl, knowing her cover was probably blown. She had Orin look her dead in the eyes and grin, but his eyes were clouded with a yellow energy. "Now now, don't start a fight...I have no intention of attacking, just wanted to show you how fragile your relationship can be...tell you what, if you don't try to kill me, not only will I not take him to my leaders, but I'll also return him to you, do we have a deal girl?"

"Deal..." Her words slipped between her clenched teeth. Her tone showed pure anger and hatred.

*puts a claw up to oorin possessed by a body snatcher*. I am warning you though fiend, If you at all break this deal you will have to answer to me!

The glow left Orin's eyes and he shook his head, "What just happened...and why are you so angry?". The body snatcher however, showed no signs of actually leaving the body as a voice reached out to Rowan. I'm going to make sure other body snatchers don't run off with him, as well as keep him for collateral in case you decide to break your deal, have fun girl....

Rowan tackled Orin and growled. She shut her eyes and reopened them, her eyes glowing a bright blue. Her fangs grew larger and so did her nails. "Get out!" She demanded through clenched teeth.

Orin started to panic when he saw the glowing glue eyes, not to mention the fangs and nails. "Moon, help, shes trying to kill me!"

pulls Rowin off of orin and tries to restrain her from killing him.

Her eyes dimmed and her fangs returned to their small size. Her nails shrinking. She shook her head and fell to her knees. "What... What happened?" She asked looking wearily into the sky.

As I try to calm her down I simply state,"you tried to kill orin since he has a body snatcher in him and I had to pull you off him".

Orin's eyes snapped open when he heard moon say it. "Wait, whats inside me?!" He then tried to calm down and search his mind for the presence, only to find a black cat who keeps evading his 'sight' every time he gets close.

RK had been behind a tree, but was able to hear them talking, stepped from behind the tree and approached the group. "What's going on, a body snatcher?"

Rowan's eyes brightened quickly. "You're finished!" She shouted. Rowan shook off Moon and lunged at Orin again. Rowan shut her eyes and invaded Orin's mind. Her fierce thought's defeating the cat's control for a short moment. Rowan opened her mouth, as a blue figure slipped from her body. Her body collapsed as the figure entered Orin. A black cat flew out of Orin's body immediately, followed by the Blue form.

Moon saw the black cat and blue form escape from chrono and chased after it with the intent to kill it.

"Woah, what the heck guys!" RK shouts in surprise as a black cat is forced out of Orin. "What's going on?"

Orin was probably going to faint from shock, but the next several events prevented his mind such a luxury. The cat dashed into the woods for better or worse to tell her superiors the details of her failure. Orin immedeatly catched Rowan's body before it fell on the ground "Rowan, whats going on...what just happened?!"

After running deep into the forestI stop chasing the cat as it is way too fast even for me. Defeated I decide to head back when all of a sudden I realize I have no clue where I am. taking a moment I crouch and try and sniff out the others but for the strangest reason it seems something is blocking it. "Oh crap". I mutter

The blue form returned to Rowan's body. She let out a loud gasp. "I... I'm not entirely sure. That was... new to me." She said, her eyes tired. She nuzzled Orin and let out a sigh.

Looking to the ground I try to trace my way back but find the tracks are gone along with my scent."**censor** **censor** **censor** This is not good not good at all". as I start to panic I decide to sit down and relax, perhaps if I concentrate more I can break this crazy situation. Unknown to me though something lurks out in the wild, and is watching me.

"Hey guys, what's going on!" RK shouts at the two people laying on the ground, then covers his mouth, smelling a cat nearby, but it was to late. "Err, I hate to break up your cuddling but we got cats off the starboard bow."

Katt wandered towards the woods, drawn by some elusive effect. Her eyes scanned the area with a bored expression, though she was infinitely fascinated with the appearance of the cat she was following. The speed at which the creature traveled intrigued her as she continued towards the woods. Her green eyes turned toward a movement and she gasped softly, eyes wide.

Orin got up and turned towards the direction of the wolf who just said something about cats, then started smelling them get closer and closer. "Rowan, I'm no longer safe to be around, go with moon and get out of here while I hold them off..." He said as he spread his wings and steeled himself for another onslaught.

Sniffing the air, Katt darted into the forest, twisting and turning within the trees until she sniffed out Moonraiser. "Uh... hi.." She called softly, stepping out from behind an elm tree. Her tail flicked in amusement and she turned slightly, eyes trained on his as her ears swiveled.

*looks to the new figure and looks at her weird* "how did you find me when it seems something is disrupting the senses around here...nevermind would you kindly help me out of here and please be fast about it I feel the presence of something lurking about".

"Sir Orin, now is not a good time to be mister hero," RK said running over to him. "We need to get you back to safety, we can tie you up or something, but right now we need to just get out of here. Miss Rowan, you're alright aren't you, we need to go."

"No!" Rowan refused. She stood next to him, her eyes glowing blue again. She readied herself for a long battle.

Orin looked at the wolf and grimaced "Whats tying me up going to do if the body snatcher is no longer in me....besides, if they really want me dead, anywhere I go they'll follow" Then he saw Rowan jumping in to fight. "Nevermind, we're heading back..." He picked Rowan up by the waist and carried him over his shoulder as he ran back to the safe-house.

*Kistrev moaned as he pulled himself up from the couch where he had fallen unconscious again... standing upright he padded over to the kitchen of the safe house where..... where.... Kistrev stopped realising he couldnt remember the name of the people who had hellped him.... running back through his mind he realised he couldnt remmember anything about himself... WAIT!.... he ran back trhough his mind trying to pick out his name again... K, Kist....nope, it was gone, holding his head in his paws he slumped down onto the couch whining...*

She nodded, motioning moon to follow. Claws moving, she pulled them by the hand and dragged hm/her out of the woods, toward RK and the others. Stopping within sight, she turned. "I can't go any farther."

Rowan kicked and squirmed. "Put me down! I want to kill them!" Rowan screamed, her eyes glowing intensely. She continued to move around and scream. She finally stopped and relaxed. "You're lucky I love you..." She said pouting.

"if you stayed with me, it would have made my words pointless!" He said as they reached the safe-house, his fallout bunker, which is only a few meters outside the forest. He put Rowan down and knocked on the door. "Sira, its Orin...let me in!" a few moments later the door opens and the little dragoness yanks Orin in, almost closing the door "Don't leave without telling me brother!" she screamed while pounding on his legs.

Rowan continued to pout. "Don't bother kicking and screaming... It doesn't work.." She said, brushing herself off. Rowan hit Orin on his head and grunted. "That's for picking me up..." She kissed his forehead and went to sit down somewhere.

*kistrev looked around the kitchen, he couldnt remember anything... wincing as he stood up he padded over to the kitchen side where he started to try and make some toast..... almost half an hour later he had a slice of very very blackened toast, spread thickly with marmalade and a rather large mess in the kitchen... all in all he felt rather pleased with himself...*

He gently pushed the dragoness away and closed the door and bolting it shut. He then walks over to the pile of weapons and starts pulling parts out, putting and AK-47 together and tossing it on a nearby bean-bag chair. "I don't think all body-snatchers are bad Rowan, I managed to get some of her emotional memories, and I found out shes been spying on us alot....especially you, I couldn't get much farther than a few days, but I think she used me to get closer to you" he said, although he actually saw and knew the cat focus her attention on him, he wanted to throw her off just for fun.

"I don't trust any of them," Rowan growled. She stood and walked to the door. "I want to go see Kistrev. I'll be back soon." Rowan opened the door and walked out. She watched her paws as she padded to the restaurant. She opened the front door and saw Kistrev walking about. "Hey. How are you feeling?" She asked, a weak smile stretching across her face.

*Kistrev looked up at the sound of the restaurant door opening, someone came in and obviously seemed to recognise him, yet he felt he was supposed to regocnise her too*... "errr, sorry. but who are you exactly?" *he looked confused as he tried to put her face to name, but none would come*

"Oh no..." Her ears went down and she sat on the couch. "I suppose you don't remember any of us then?" Rowan walked over to him. "I'm Rowan... I helped you when cats almost killed you..." She looked at him hopelessly.

Vamp walked out of his room and patted kistrevs back. "I've been trying to help him remember people." he turned his gaze to Kistrev, "You took quite a hit." but as he was talking he didn't make any eye contact with Rowan at all.

He finished repairing the guns he salvaged and took Sira with him as he left the safe-house and dropped Sira off at the resturaunt he remembered Rowan visiting earlier. "Tell Rowan that I went into the woods to go get cooking wood, okay?" she nodded before hugging him and reluctantly letting go. She padded off towards Rowan while he went to the woods, feeling that a fog in the woods is too unnatural for him to just let it be.
He entered the forest, walking until he got into the fog. "I want to know whos causing this anomoly....so show yourself or I'll flush you out myself" he said, being as feral as possible while still maintaining a bi-pedal form.

Rowan didn't look at Vamp. She just looked at Kistrev. "Well... I suppose I should try to help.." She stood and brushed past Vamp. She heard Sira walking up to the door. She went to the door and opened it. "Whats up Sira?" She asked looking around.

"No, just go."Vamp said somberly.

"I can do as I please. You don't have control over me. And If it weren't for me... He's be dead!" She growled, her tone fierce. She motioned for Sira to wait a moment.

Vamp didn't say anything. He just walked over, closed the heavy door, and locked it without any eye contact.

"What the hell! I'm still in the room..." She said looking at him angrily. "What the hell is your problem?!" She shouted. Her temper through the roof. She looked at him angrily, her eyes showing frustration and slight hatred.

"I didn't want Sira to hear any yelling." he said. "Now, do whatever you want. Yell at me, punch me, kick me, anything to help with your anger towards me right now." he explained as he gazed into her sky-blue eyes.

Her eyes glistened with anger. "Answer me! What is your problem?!" She asked her temper growing.

"Just, hit me. Get you anger, sadness, rage. All of it. Get rid of it." he continued.

"I'm not going to just hit you!" Rowan said angrily. She kept her distance from him fighting the urge to just tackle him.

"Hit me. We both know you want to." he said, still making eye contact. "I don't want you to be mad at me. Please, hit me."

Rowan tensed up. She let out a low growl. "Let's take it outside then... And don't make it too easy." She turned and walked out. Sira was standing patiently. "I'm sorry about that... So what is it that you came to tell me?"

"Orin is heading to the forest to get some wood for cooking, and he wanted me to stay with you rather than be all by myself" She said, before taking her hand, making sure not to get out of her sight or reach.

*Kistrev watched the others argue, things where coming back, kind of..... he tried looking everywhere but at the two arguing..... he muttered names under his breath.... "Rowan, Vamp...."*.along with a few others from his past life......* "ïm 16 he muttered, my name is Kistrev.... i have a tail" *he looked confused* "what does being sixteen mean?"he suddenly went quiet, that last bit had been out loud...*

Rowan smiled and held Sira's hand. "I'll see you later Kistrev." She lead Sira outside and to the woods. "Why does he have to be such a trouble maker..." She said under her breath. She looked at Sira and ordered her to stay put and out of sight. "I'll be right back." Rowan quickly went feral and darted into the woods, looking for any trace of Orin. Where are you? she thought. Her nose quickly picked up his scent. She spun and ran in his direction. She saw him and turned back to normal. Rowan kept her distance from him and watched carefully. Her ears twitching at every sound in the forest.

Orin didn't notice her because he was too preoccupied with the scent of his target. A flame walker jumps out of the fog in an attempt to floor him, but he grabs its face and throws it into the tree, the impact shattering its spine. "Stop sending your hell-spawn lackies and face me yourself!!"

Are you trying to get yourself killed? Rowan thought her stance a bit closer to him now. She looked around to make sure they were only after him. Her eyes flickered back and forth, then fixed themselves to focus on Orin.

Kistrev looked up as Rowan left.... he felt lost and lonely..... getting up off the couch he left the restaurant to stretch his leg.... his leg flared with pain but he ignored it, picking up a loping jog along the roadside....

Rowan decided to leave. "Orin can fend for himself," She said. She spotted Kistrev. "Hey!" She shouted waving. Jogging towards him, she smiled. Clouds began to form in the sky. "It looks like it's going storm..." She guessed, walking up to him.

*Kistrev slowed to a walk, looking up at the storm clouds... he nodded his agreement, as he stopped altogether... he was quiet as he stood awkwardly looking up at Rowan,* why did you help me? when you saw i was alone.. why?

Rowan looked at Kistrev. "Because It's something I do. I don't leave someone to die out here." She sat on the curb and looked at the sky. A drop gently hit her nose. "So I helped you."

*Kistrev watched her sit down on the curb, he sat down opposite her in the road. Something that until the change would have been near suicidal due to traffic, the roads now where silent and dusty.* "you helped me" *he shook his head as several drops hit him on the head, ear and whisker in quick succession...* "and for that i suppose I'm going to have to be forever gratefull" *He looked up at her smiling halfheartedly.... he suddenly whimpered clutching his head.... over in a few seconds the pain receded and he looked back up one tear rolling down his cheek to slide along his whisker... he muttered* "memory spike, keeps happening when i remember something i forgot" *he looked back up at her from where he was sitting in the road...

Rowan smiled and pulled him in and hugged him tightly. "It's nothing... I just couldn't leave you." She looked at him and smiled, her nose becoming more wet.

*Kistrev smilled warmly at the hug, he realised with a pang that set deep within him that this was the first real physical contact he'd had with anyone else for little under a year. He looked up at her, returning the smile, and surpressing a giggle as another rain drop splashed both on her nose, then on one of his ears where it then hit the road after a deft flick of his ear...* "im glad you didnt leave me Rowan, im glad there's someone.... someone who helped"

"Well I'm glad that I could help." Rowan, still embracing him, pulled back. "So how is your head?" She asked, her left hand fiddling with one of his ears subconsciously.

*Kistrev felt her twiddling his ear, it sent a slight shiver down his pine... the rain started to get a bit heavier, sliding down his bare back... he was starting to wish he'd kept the shirt he'd been given, shivering slightly he smiled back at Rowan...* "uh, well it doesnt hurt.. but i have lapses in my memory, for instance i only just remembered the first time we met... you know? when you held a gun on me and i hid in the shadow? *He moved up beside her on the curb*

Rowan laughed. "Yea... I'm sorry for pointing that thing at you. I just can't take any risks these days." She wrapped her arm around him to keep him warm.

*Kistrev's shivering ceased as he hunkered into her body warmth.. the light pattering of rain starting to fill the air, weak filtered summer light falling in patches across the city..* "s'fine, i dont blame you... i remember what i was like... i must have looked like a tramp or scavenger... im surprised you didnt shoot me right away! *he smiled warmly, putting an arm round her shoulder too, rain dripping off his whiskers like tears...*

Rowan laughed and shrugged. "I don't shoot unless I'm sure what I'm shooting at. And you didn't have the scent of one of them," She smiled. She huddled closer to him as lightening struck and thunder rolled.

*Kistrev winced at the lightning, tensing suddenly, and almost jumping out of his skin.. he settled down as rowan pulled him back, he tried not to blush at his obvious fear of them *... Rowan? do YOU remember before the change? i cant *his head hung low as he huddled in close, his head against her side where he could feel the dull beat of her heart against the backdrop of rolling thunder and pattering rain*

Rowan laughed at the cat, who was about the same size as her, cuddle closely. "Of course. Sitting right here would be dangerous," She joked. "The streets bustling, and noisy. People on their phones, people greeting people. Angry cab drivers... It's so peaceful now... but yet, so lonely."

*Kistrev looked up as she laughed... she could only be slightly older than him... yet somtimes she made him feel like the younger brother...always asking the questions... never knowing the answers... he watched her eyes as she said "yet, so lonely" he had always liked peoples eyes, the glint and shimmer.... he sighed lightly, his whiskers bristling as he took in a deep breath of the fresh, thunderstorm cleared air*

Rowan's eyes flickered at the Lightening struck in the park, the flash illuminating her eyes. "Woah... that was a little too close for comfort." She took her coat off and placed it over Kistrev. "I'll be right back... I have to find Orin." She shivered, the shorts and tank top not covering much. She tightened her combat boots and dashed into the park.

Orin was nowhere to be found and the only evidence was a few dots of blood and a few stray feathers scattered where he once was. But, the faint whimpering of Sira could be heard in the fog where he once was.

"Sira!" Rowan called urgently running to her side. "Where is Orin?!" She said, tears welling up in her eyes.

She was visibly on the verge of a mental breakdown as she tried to recall before her whimpering fit. "H-He f-found the f-fog maker...but so many cats showed up..." she then broke into a complete sob. "They t-took him away, why?!"

Rowan picked up Sira and carried her outside. She put her down next to Kistrev. "Watch her." She looked at him then quickly turned and darted into the forest. "Come on you sons-a-bI***es," Rowan growled as she pulled her gun and loaded it.

*Kistrev was suprised as Rowan came along with sira in her arms, he was even more surprised when she then ran off... he took The jacket rowan had put on him around sira's shoulders and pulled her just over from the road under a shop gable away from the pounding rain..*

Rowan searched frantically for any signs of movement. She let out a pain shoot and fell to the ground. A cat had jumped on her and dug and dragged his nails all the way down her back. She turned and shot it in the face. Orin! She 'shouted'. Hoping that it would get further than her shouting voice.

*Kistrev felt a shiver go down his spine... he felt sure he' heard some kind of echoe in his mind.... somthing like... "orin?" he shook his head sending water everywhere*

She stood and ran deeper into the forest. "Come out and fight!" She shouted looking for any cats that may be watching her.

Small yellow eyes, and other larger ones appear in the trees and brush, the rest covered up by fog. "Ah...who now wanders into our land...?" "Oh...its the girl who left the wolf-boy earlier, so sad..." "...and here the higher-ups thought they were close, the wolf must have been mistakened..." small high-pitched chuckles resonate for a few moments. "What about the cat?" "Hes just a tag-along, but that girl with the wolf-girl...the boss wants her..."

Rowan growled as they mentioned Sira. "Show yourselves." Her growl was low. "And where is Orin?" Her voice quivered slightly.

The voices mock her by appearing for a split second, then completely vanishing."Why should you care...you left him in the forest all alone, and the girl was terrified too..." "Just give us the girl and we'll be on our way..."

"Never... Now take my to Orin. I didn't want to leave him, but I assumed he had things under control. Just give him back! I love him!" She shouted, her emotions spilling out. Emotions that had been suppressed for a year.

the fog parted enough to show a trail deeper into the forest. "Prove it....and bring the girl with you, since the cat is not even worth a flame-walker's time" "We body-snatchers won't stop you...but the others are not as kind..." all of the eyes vanish with a faint laughter as the path to Orin lay before Rowan.

"I need to get the girl first..." she said to herself. Kistrev... Bring me Sira. She thought. He quickly ran with Sira in her arms and brought her to Rowan. "Go back to the park. I'll be back soon." She took Sira and held her hand. She lead her down the path slowly.

*Kistrev walked back to the park, scuffing his paws as he walked, he was alone again... that was he always feared.... he sat down in the park under a tree, and pulled his knees up to his chin, rain lashed down in a wet, stinging assault, and he sat there... *

Orin woke up with aches and pains all over his body, along with many bloody marks. "Dang...hell-spawn" he said out loud, before realizing he was leaning on one of them, but apparently not in danger of being rended, yet. "Did my little wolf-pet enjoy his rest?" he heard after realizing he was actually in a bed of what looked like rags and pillows arranged in a mat-like fashion. He tired to get up and see who said that, but he felt himself get yanked back down and realized he was collared and chained to the bed. "Tsk, tsk...I hope you don't try that again, or I might have to tighten the chain, and I'm right here in case you're wondering..." he felt a paw stroke the back of his neck, sending chills down his spine. "W-Why didn't you have me killed in the forest?" he asked, slightly afraid since he can't defend himself from the back. "Because...I'm lonely being the only one who can actually speak... and you were abandoned in the woods by your wolf-girl, along with that dragon girl" Orin stiffened up Rowan, don't tell me you actually followed me, and left Sira too...

Vamp sat in the restraunt, thinking about his actions and what he had said to Rowan "Why the hell did I do that? God, I need to clear my head." he said to himself, and went out the door towards a hot spring that he had found near the park.

Rowan coninued down the path, Sira by her side. "I can't find anything that leads a path him." She sniffed the air. Her ears went back. Orin, Where are you?!

After a long time of being on my own I decide to rendevous back to the others. I sniff the air and find that Rowan is fairly close so I head towards her and find her."Hey there, its nice to see you". I see her sniffing the air and wonder where everyone is."where is Orin and the others??"

Rowan spots a decent sized cavern. "Stay close Sira. I don't need to lose you too, to this ravenous forest." She proceeded cautiously. Her eyes lit up, trying to search for any aura trace of Orin.

Orin was meditating what to do when he felt the bed he was on start to move; he slowly turned around so he wouldn't jostle the chains and alert someone to keep a hold on it. He saw what looked like a fusion between an assassin and a fire-walker, and another breed of demon-cat altogether, along with traits showing the cat's female gender. "Is something wrong...Mistress?" he forced himself to say the last part to avoid any hostility. "Surpirisngly, the wolf-girl is on her way here...so I'm moving us deeper into the cavern and letting the others deal with her" She lifted the bed up with Orin on it, and carried them both deeper into the cavern. "I don't plan on killing the girl she brought with her, after all, I plan having you and that dragoness as my pets"

Rowan could sense a bit of hostility. "Sira... I need you to stay with me at all Times. Understood?" Sira nodded and stuck close to Rowan's side. She continued making her way into the cavern. Her eyes illuminated the way.

~Fire walkers, prowlers, and the occasional assassin pawed out of the cavern and towards Rowan, teeth bared for combat~

Rowan let out a fierce growl and pulled Sira closer. "What ever you do... stay close." She pulled out her gun and quickly plucked off three fire walkers.

Vamp heard three gunshots coming from the direction of the hot spring in the park. He sniffed the air and his ears perked up. "Rowan, Chrono." he said as he sprinted towards the smell, "Them." he added grimly as he sprinted towards them. "If you hurt them, I'll butcher you all!" He screamed to the mutated beings, and pulled out two bladed tonfa sticks.

"Vamp... What are you doing here?!" Rowan shouted at him. Rowan put Sira on her back and ran at the cats. She tore at them and sliced them. Gun shots rang in the air. "Come on Sira... It's time to get Orin back."

"Trying to help you. I heard gunshots and came running." he said as he charged the beasts alongside her. "I understand you love Orin and I'm sorry for being a jerk. I don't know what got into me, I hope you forgive me." he explained as he helped her fend of th behemoths.

"Now Is not the time to talk... When I get out of this we can talk." Rowan ran off ahead of him and disappeared into the mist of the forest.

Orin would have given off at least some kind of signal as to where he was, but right now...his mind was in a fog where it took alot of concentration just to remember who he is. "Why are you trying to fight, she can't find you in the forest, and she can't keep the search up forever...just let the fog wipe all the past away, you'll find that I'm a much nicer companion than that she-wolf" the cat said, with a paw on his head, massaging the top and with a smirk, continued to coax him into submission.

Rowan continued running through the cavern. "ORIN!" She let out a high pitched yell. Frustration over whelmed her, tears slowly falling down her cheek.

Vamp followed her. "I think Chrono is in the hot springs." he said as he sprinted beside her. "That's where his scent is coming from. Let's go."

A gleaming pair of yellow eyes appeared in the dark of the cavern I hope you realize by us helping you get to the cave, both of us are going to die or banished if we're lucky... it 'said' to Rowan before vanishing. Orin heard the echo, but he could barely stay awake. "R-Rowan?" the fog in his head seemed to get thicker in response. "No, its just some annoying memory...let it go like you did all the others" She motioned with her head and tail for more cats to come out and stall Rowan. They responded in kind...

"Damn... This is getting old!" Rowan got on all fours and lashed at them. Sira held tight to her neck. Rowan growled and kept all cats from reaching Sira.

Vamp opened his coat and pulled out two extremly short sawed-off shotguns. "Go, save Orin. I'll hold these guys off." he said calmly, almost smiling. And started evicerating them with his firearms.

Rowan nodded turning back to anthro and ran towards him, his aura getting stronger. "I think We're close."
-
As Vamp shot, blood rained through the cave as they were severed in half with each blast, when they were empty, he reached into his jacket sides again and started unloading with two shortened AK-58's. He just kept unloading into the beings.

The cats stopped comming, then Orin walks into sight. "I'm sorry for getting you worried, I kind-of got in over my head..." he replied, not even noticing all the carnage in front of him.

Rowan stopped. "Where did you go?! You had me worried!" Frustration in her tone, as her voice quivered.

Vamp holstered one machine gun and tossed Orin a long sturdy cattle prod style stun rod "Let's get outta here!" he screamed over the noise, and swiched back to the sawed-offs, mutilating them to clear a path for their escape.

He grabbed the cattle prod, then looked at both of them with a confused face. "Look, thanks for bringing her, but you should get out before 'she' gets annoyed...come on Sira" He picked up the dragon girl and was already walking back into the darkness "Time for you to meet your new mother!"

"What are you talking about? Did you not just see that giant horde of them?!" he asked, and noticed Orin's eyes had a glazed over look.

"N-New m-mother?!" Sira asked in disbelief, to which Orin smiled and nodded. "She asked specifically for you as her adoptive daughter, isn't that great?" Sira snapped out of her shock and decided to hold a brief interrogation. "Why arn't you happy to see Rowan, didn't you love her?" he got even more confused at Sira's question. "Whos Rowan, an imaginary friend?"

Vamp grabbed Sira from Orin's arms, "What the hell is wrong with you? Who is this 'she'?" he asked, slowly pacing away.

Rowan shot Orin in the right shoulder. "Put her down!" She shouted, a tear running down her cheek. Rowan looked at Orin in disbelief. Her eyes lit up again, but this time they were red. "I'm not afraid to kill you, or anyone else that you are associated with. Give me Sira, and I wont have to end you." Her voice was oddly eerie. She readied her dagger as she looked at Orin.

"What are you talking about, you were supposed to bring Sira here, 'she' said so!" Orin's eyes seemed glazed over, but the emotion was real. Do not worry, they had a change in mind...and I'll quickly deal with it soon said a voice which seemed to come from everywhere. Orin started to change back into a human, but suddenly grabbed his head and groaned in pain before changing back. "Give back Sira!" he yelled, claws bared and ready to attack.

Just before Orin tackled him, Vamp set down Sira and she ran and hid behind Rowan. Orins claws embedded themselves under his shoulder skin, when they hit the ground, the claws buried themselves deeper in him. Vamp screamed in pain. "Get her out of here!" he screamed the Rowan"Get back to the restraunt!"

Rowan picked up Sira and ran. "Sira... I need you to hold on as tight as possible... You may feel a little queezy after this, but...." Rowan quickly jumped, vanished. She quickly appeared just outside the forest. She continued running to get far away. "I need to go back... You stay with Kistrev," Rowan put her down next to him and then disappeared again. She went back to the same spot she had left. "Come out and play you mangy cat," She spat, her fangs growing slightly.

I'm sorry dear, but i'm a lover, not a fighter...as I showed to your wolf-boy earlier, and you see what it did Orin was still convinced that Vamp had Sira, and continued to rend at him. "Give her back!"

Rowan lunged at Orin with all her might and pushed him away from Vamp. "How dare you!" She shouted at the voice. She looked at Orin and punched him in the face. A tear trickled down her cheek.

Save your breath, he can't tell whos friend or foe without me... Orin grabbed Rowan's fist, and started shifting back. "D-Distract her..." was all he said before chainging back and throwing Rowan into a wall, then leaping at vamp again.

Rowan hit the wall hard and fell to the ground. She got on her hands and knees and got on her feet. "Leave him ALONE!" She jumped on Orin again, her dagger in his shoulder. She bit his shoulder and dug her nails into his side.

He roared in pain, elbowing her in the head and yanking the dagger out. He then grabbed her neck and held her up, dagger poised to run through her neck. He growled in complete anger, but his hand started shaking the closer his hand got. Whats wrong, you don't know her...shes keeping you from Sira! "I'm...trying"

Orin lauched Rowan into another wall and got up to finish her, just as he leaped, fangs bared, Vamp used the last of his strength to shove her out of the way and take her place. Orin's fangs and talons ran deep into Vamp's body and tore at his muscles and tendons. He felt his fur moisten with blood and saliva, and then his entire body felt cold.

"VAMP!" Rowan cried out. She looked at Orin, her face soaked with tears. She stood and bared her fangs. She lunged at him and tore at his shoulder, her teeth becoming bloody. She leaped back after she left a big enough gash. She jumped on Orin again, her hands around his throat as her nails started to dig in. She quickly leaned into him and kissed him. His own blood now on his face, she pulled away and leaped back from him and stood against a tree. Her face was soaked with tears and blood.

Vamp mustered his last amouts of strength to retrieve a small tranquilizer pistol from his jacket and fired at Orin with shakey aim. The dart miraculously found it's mark in the back of Orin's neck. The enraged wolf almost instantly became sluggish and slumped over into a deep sleep. Vamp them fell unconcious, bleeding from his many wounds induced by his hallucinagenic attacker.

(two things wrong: one...I'm a WOLF, second....someone should inform me when you start posting, since people put me to sleep apparently) Orin started to have a fitful slumber as he hears someone speaking in his head. Get up my pet...get up and fight for Sira he let out a roar before sluggishly getting back up, but his endurance prevented him from keeping his wolf form. Orin 'woke up' in immense pain, and a gash in his shoulder "I'll...be back, just need to maul that...guh~" he collapsed from blood-loss, but finnaly be able to sleep again. However, a certain cat didn't like that he broke her trance, so a 6' 5'' black cat with feathered wings pads out of the cavern. "Are you happy now, hes barely alive and you have the girl...are you satisfied?!" she yelled before leaving, knowing she has no combat skills besides the advantage of size.

Rowan knelt next to Orin. "Oh my god... What have I done!?" She shouted holding his head. Tears ran down her face. Her ears went back, as she let out a lonely howl.

Vamp slowly drifted from unconciousnes to slumber and his bleeding began to subside and his muscles rebuilt except for in his right arm. It had sustained heavy damage and the tendons were severed, He would not be able to use it for anything for a few months until the tendon reattached and healed it's self.

Rowan cried out, her howl carrying through the forest. Sira walked beside her and hugged her tightly. "Its not your fault..." she comforted. Rowan hugged her back and continued to cry. She lay herself on Orin's body. She shut her eyes and began to sing a song in Russian. It was a lonely, sad song.

Orin started coughing as he woke up, then was just confused as to why he was hearing a different language. "the blood caked around my eyes, can someone tell me if I'm still in New York?" he said with a rather weak voice.

Rowan stopped and put her face in front of Orins. "OH my god! You're alive!!" She shrieked happily. "I am so sorry..." She tried wiping away the blood.

Vamp, still laying down, had awoken and limped over to Orin and Rowan. He tried to kneel over but fell. "Are you okay?" he asked Orin.

"Well, depends on what you mean by 'okay', if it means you lost alot of blood, and you can only talk, then yes..I'm okay " his arm reached out and he felt something like hair and grabbed on. "If this is anyone other than Rowan, I'm sorry..."

Rowan felt a tug on her tail. "Ow..." She said softly. "I'm so sorry Orin... I didn't want to hurt you.. but I had to."

He took a deep breath and tried to smile "Well, its not like this hasn't happened before, its just gonna take a day or two for the skin to grow back, until then...can you take me to the safe-house?" he thought he was stroking her hair, but when he felt a curve to it..."Great, the first thing I grab is a girl's tail when I wake up"

Rowan laughed. "Come on you..." She stood and put his arm over her shoulder. "god... you're heavier than I thought..." She shut her eyes and suddenly they were out of the forest. "I'll be right back," She kissed him on the cheek and went back for Vamp. She reappeared with him then helped them both to the safe-house.

"What do you mean heavy, I should be human, much lighter than my winged wolf form!" he retorted, still not able to see anything.

Rowan smiled and quickly changed to her human form. "I have a little more muscle in this form." She continued down the street and entered the safe-house. Sira was sitting inside on the hospital bed.

*Kistrev was still sitting in the park, the rain had left off but a wind had started to whip up.... he shivered pulling his knees to his chin..... Rowan had said stay where he was, stay where he was... stay where he was...*

Sira got off and went to get the bandages. She then took Orin out of Rowan's arms and set him down to start wrapping him up. "Never th-" Sira wrapped a set around his mouth. "Big brother should stop talking and let me finish putting his bandages on" she said with a giggle.

Vamp went back to the restraunt where kistrev was. The others were at Orin's shelter. He handed Kistrev a large bottle filled with the same pear brandy he kept in his flask. He had found it in an old liquor store and remebered Kistrev. "I'm going to go to sleep. Don't drink it all in one night." he joked and with that, went to his room and collapsed.

*Kistrev looked up glumly as Vamp aproached... taking the bottle his face lit up* pear brandy! Hruskovica! *he laughed at vamps joked and watched him stagger into his room, hugging the bottle to his chest he felt warm and fuzzy.... it wasnt the fact that he'd been given alcohol... though that helped.... it was the fact that people remebered him... he felt like he had friends... he sat on the table in the restaurant waiting for the others....*

Rowan leaned against the wall and became lost in deep thought. What did that 'thing' want with Orin and Sira.... she looked at Orin then back at the ground.

Orin is still lying in the hospital bed, while Sira walks up to Rowan, cleaning her blood covered hands with a rag before looking up at Rowan. "He'll need some sleep for awhile, but you can talk with him when he wakes up, just try to keep him from doing too much" Sira said, trying to sound as professional as she could before heading to a nearby recliner to curl up and sleep.

Vamp got up and made a sling for his arm out of a patch of kevlar and a rifle strap. He sighed as he thought of all the things he wouldn't be able to do because of the injury. "Why did I have to survive? The world has gone to hell as it is." he muttered.

*kistrev was asleep, curled up beside the restaurant couch... less than a quarter of the bottle was gone, but it was strong enough, slong with a mixture of fear and fatigue to get him to sleep. He snored lightly, twitching in his sleep*

Vamp walked out to the living room and sat on the couch near kistrev. He was glad to be in the company of others, though asleep.

*Kistrev gave a snuffling sound, and then cried out and jumped up... when he saw he was still in the living room he settled down on the couch beside Vamp*
"hey, hows you?"

'I don't know. I guess I'm okay except for my arm, but, I don't know. I think Rowan is still mad at me and I can't believe I'm getting hung up about this in the middle of armagedon." he said and then sighed. "Your head feel any better?" he asked

*Kistrev nodded quietly, he too gave a sigh as he lay back on the couch*

'You know, you don't talk much.You can talk to me." Vamp said

Rowan walked out of the building and out onto the damp streets. The sky had opened, letting a sheet of rain fall upon the earth. Lightening split the sky as a loud rumble followed it. "yet another storm... Gotta love it." She looked down at the concrete as rain speckled the grayish tint.

Orin woke up and felt he was able to move again, but dared not to change back for fear of being controlled again. He got out of the bed and went over to the armory, grabing an AK-47, a desert eagle, and plenty of ammo for both. "Sira, get a weapon and lets go find Rowan, we're getting out of New York as soon as possible..."

Rowan's tan skin shown through as the fur slowly faded away. Her long silk brown-red hair blew in the storm's gusty winds. She smiled at her appearance then hugged her knees close to her body. Her skin was speckled in rain drops. She heard someone coming up from behind her. She turned and smiled slightly then frowned when she remembered what happened in the woods.

Sira got a side-arm with three clips before walking up to Orin. "Where are we going then?" she asked with pure curiosity, to which Orin sighed "I don't know, but I figure New York is not the place to be right now with me being a walking target and all". He then walked out of the safe-house and tried to find Rowan...

She frowned as a large male approached her. "Who are you?" She asked sternly, her crystal blue-green eyes lighting up as lightening struck. The male loomed over her small, fragile body. "Oh come now... You don't remember?" He smirked and leaned closer. His eyes were a hazel, with more of a green. His dark tan skin made his eyes pop more. "I can't say I do..." She stood and looked at him. Her muscles were tensed slightly. They quickly relaxed as the Male laughed. "You always were feisty," He said. He got closer and chuckled, his deep tone oddly familiar. "Duke? Is that... you?" She asked her eyes widening.

"sorry if i come across as a quiet loner, but thats how i kinda feel.... ya know? with this whole armageddon thing? and, well, everything...."
*Kistrev sighed, taking a swig from the bottle of pear brandy*
"ugh.... you know where the others are? i havnt seen them in ages..."

"Yeah, they are at another shelter. We should head over there." Vamp replied

Orin continued through the streets until he came across a male wolf, he guessed, looming over Rowan. He quickly un-holstered his AK-47 and trained it on the wolf while slowly moving towards Rowan. "If you know whats good for you, you'll leave her alone" he knew he couldn't best him in hand to hand since he was still in his human form, but his aim and reaction time quickly made his melee strength a moot point.

The male turned and stared Orin down. "I don't think that's wise," He threatened his tone deepening. "Orin... Relax. He's an old friend of mine," Rowan said running over to him and putting her hand on the gun, slowly pushing it downwards.

Vamp and Kistrev had packed all of the guns, knives, ammo, and supplies and exited the restraunt. "So, we will regroup with the others and go from there. Okay?"

"sure thing" Kistrev winced as he stretched his leg, the many scars from his life alone in the city covered him, his fur still matted in places with blood that seemed to be as stubborn as a mule..

Orin lowered the gun when he heard the male's voice. "Wait... I think I know him too..." his eyes shot open and he let out a rather explosive laugh. "Duke, you became a wolf of all things?!"

Rowan shook her head and sighed. "Talk about a bromance," she joked. She ran her fingers threw her hair and shook her head. "So where exactly are we headed if we're to get out of this hell hole?" She looked at Orin, her eyes lighting up once again from lightening overhead.

Orin aimed into the forest, making sure nothing was either stalking nor trying to pounce them. "Theres two paths we can take... we can't use the above-ground rails since it makes us sitting ducks in case it collapses. That leaves the long walk through the streets, or take our chances in the subway system..." Orin caught a cat out of the corner of his eye and turned to fire on three scavengers. "Please be quick, they've already found us..."

*Kistrev leapt, feral on all fours from shadow to shadow, its seemed the work the guys had done on his leg was holding up... he stopped, leaning on a car watching Vamp*
"feline eh? ya know, why on earth feline? i coulda been anything.. wolf... anything! and im like them!"

Vamp and Kistrev walked out of the restraunt with all of their belongings and without warning Vamp chucked three molotov cocktails into his former home. With a loud crash and an ear peircing boom, the home was engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds.

"you okay vamp, i mean you dont wanna talk bout nothin?"
*Kistrev sat on a nearby car bonnet watching vamp burn his former home*

"No, it needs to burn. They can't follow a scent that's not there." he said without taking his eyes of the blazing torrent that was once his home.

Rowan turned her head and saw flames flare up into the blue sky. "What the hell?!" She shouted running towards the burning building. Duke quickly ran after her and grabbed her around her waste to prevent her from running any further. "What ever it was... It's done... No need to endanger yourself cute stuff," He said chuckling. Rowan continued to squirm when she noticed it was the restaurant. "NO! VAMP! KISTREV!" She shouted unaware that Vamp had caused the fire and the two were safely out of the building. She stopped once the roof caved in. Her crystal blue eyes turned to a deep cerulean. Her tan cheek was damp from the tear that had ran down her face. She heard Kistrev's voice then looked up and spotted the two of them in the distance. "Vamp! Kistrev!" She shouted as she wiggled out of Duke's hold. She tackled the both of them and hugged them tightly.

Orin didn't even have to point a gun at Duke to 'tell' him how he didn't like what he said about Rowan before walking up next to her and prodding her shoulder. "Its nice that you know they are alive, but that explosion is going to cause us more problems if we don't head to Grand Central Station or hit the streets now" he tossed one of his desert eagles to Duke, who took it and checked one of the streets while Sira was already next to Orin.

Duke shrugged at Orin's anger and laughed. He scouted out the streets. Rowan looked at Orin. "Fine, You two can follow if you want." She turned to Orin again, "I think we should take the above ground rails. The subways are dark... a perfect place for 'them'," She said looking at him. She pulled out her gun and readied it. She then put it in the thigh holster and nodded to Orin. "Let's get moving."

Orin got in front of Rowan and stared her down. "Before you ran off to check on the other two, I already said the above ground rails are too dangerous, so if you don't want to take the underground route... then lets hit the streets"

"The streets are just as bad Orin. You can fly for gods sake. I'm sure the rails should be fine... But if you want to take the streets then fine. I'm taking the Rails." She pushed past him and ran towards the AM tracks. Her tan skin went to a black fur quickly as she leaped and landed on the track. The fur went away once she was up top. She stopped to tie her sneakers. She fixed her shirt and shorts and began walking along the Rails.

Orin almost slipped off when he tried to catch up with her and jumped on the rail. "Rowan, unless you want me to act like I did before, I can't go anthro... not until I at least get a mile away from the god-forsaken forest..." he started to stumble while walking on the rail, having nothing on his feet to dig into the raill grooves.

"Wait here...." She jumped down and ran back to her old apartment. She found an old pair of combat boots that Orin had left there when he left her. "These should do." She ran back out and turned anthro. She jumped up and handed him the combat boots. She became human instantly. "Here... these should help with the traction."

He quickly puts the boots on and then hugs Rowan. "Thanks, and sorry for currently being not as fuzzy as you'd probably want me to be..."

"It's fine. I'm not fuzzy so it doesn't matter." She smiled and continued walking. She looked back to see if he was following.

He was indeed following, and was only three steps behind her, while Duke was five steps behind Orin. "Look, about what I said and did to you in the cave while under 'her' influence... I really wouldn't hold it against you if you want to beat me down right now..."

Rowan stood silent for a little bit. "Nah... it's fine. No hard feelings. Plus... you're the one who has the most damage." She smiled and kissed his cheek gently. Rowan continued walking and began to hum. She did a couple flips and back hand springs to make the walk a little more interesting.

Orin continued to follow, looking about for any cats or fire-walkers that could throw fire at them while they were walking on a single rail. After about two minutes, he caught a glimpse of a figure quickly looking directly at him before running off. "I think we've been followed, and not by vamp or kitt"

Vamp, who had not talked at all, reached into his seemingly endless trenchcoat and pulled out a folding rifle. He set it up and looked through the scope.

Kistrev watched with mild interest from the car hood where he was sat, as Vamp set up a rifle.... staying quiet so as not to disturb Vamp's concentration.... he twiddled his tail around one finger, running a paw along one long feline ear... he hadn't been a feline for long, and since he had suffered his head wound he was finding memory was only slowly coming back... a smile played across his face as he watched his tail swing back and forth...

"Oh, no." he muttered and then screamed "ASSASSINS!!!" to the others.

Kistrev leaped up in a panic... leaping from the car up to a second floor balcony, he scrambled across and jumped down into an alleyway... he ran through the darkness, paws splashing through puddles as he ran in an absolute panic...

Rowan slowed and stopped. "You might be right..." She said her voice lowered. She looked at him and readied her gun.

Orin put a hand on her gun and lowered it back down. "We shoot now, they'll swarm us like flies on fresh carcace, lets just pick up the pace, and only fight them when they get in hand-to-hand range" Orin also wanted to shoot, but he knew that the noise would just broadcast their location more than them walking on a monorail.

"Fine... Lets go," her tan skin glistened with sweat that had lightly coated her as they stood in the blazing sun. She skipped backwards then turned and walked quickly along the railing.

Orin looked back, wondering why was he only being watched. If they really wanted to attack, they would have been having the advantage of surprise. Maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me... he thought before catching up with Rowan.

Rowan tripped over one of the railings. "Damn it," She said between clenched teeth. She held her knees as she propped herself up.

Orin was already next to her, putting one of her arms over his shoulder and helping her continue walking. "We can't afford to stop, not on a rail with little room to move..." he said with a smirk before sneaking in a nuzzle.

She felt the pain shoot through her leg as the shattered knee moved with every hobble. "We need to stop," she said, tears running down her face. "Or you need to carry me, because I can't keep doing this." Her ears went back as she clenched her teeth. She held back a scream that was playing at her vocal cords.

Orin felt he was a mile away from the forest since he couldn't feel a presence lingering in his mind, so he changed back into his wolf form and leaped over Rowan, backing up so she could ride piggy-back. "I think I'm safe enough to change back...you can have my Ak-47 if you want..."

Rowan shook her head. "Orin don't... We can't risk it. I'll just walk. But mind you, you don't need super strength to carry me. I'm not heavy, still human silly." She slid off his back and limped, most of her weight off of her left knee. "Come on... We've wasted too much time." She proceeded down the tracks. Her brown hair glistened in the sunlight as a cool, light breeze blew.

Orin changed back before catching up with Rowan. "You said to stop, now you say we're wasting time... but I guess I'm just too stable to follow your sudden decisions..." he laughed before taking his AK-47 back in his hands and following behind her.

Rowan decided to use her gymnastic abilities to assist her pain. She went on her hands and lifted her legs up. "This should be a little easier." She laughed lightly and started forward.

Orin slid down the side of the rail, hooking onto one of the sides and shimmy-ing past Rowan before climbing back up in front of her. "Yes, easier but somewhat slower. I shouldn't be able to pull myself across the edge faster than you can walk on your hands." he said with a chuckle

"uh... a little help?" She asked not being able to assist herself back onto her feet. "I can't get down..." She turned and looked at Orin.

"About that..." Orin kneeled down and wrapped his arms around her waist, hefting her over his left shoulder while holding his AK with his right hand. "Either I carry you, or you can continue walking on your hands, you've already damaged your knee and since its too late to stop and bandage it...." He just left it at that while carrying her across the rail.

"Ugh... fine," She said supporting her head with her arm. "I suppose you can carry me." She got comfortable and began to hum.

Vamp sighted the assassins that were slowly stalking Rowan and Orin in the scope of his rifle and loaded a handmade bullet that had an artistic carving along the sides that made the slug spin faster and drill through the target. He fired and the projectile pierced the first one's heart and jammed in the lung of the second. One down, one crippled.

Rowan heard the sound of an assassin fall to the ground as its claws hit the steel railing. "Orin... They're following us," She said. She wiggled around to try and get down.

"Yes, but that doesn't meant I'm letting you fight on a broken knee..." Orin replied, going from a fast walk to a full on sprint.

Rowan coughed as his shoulder dug into her abdomen. "Slow... Down!"

He slowed down, although with some annoyance. He was tempted to drop her and let her get up like she wanted, but he was more worried that she would fall off the rail while trying to run. "You made it seem like we had to pick up the pace, or do you want me to shoot at 'them'?"

Vamp loaded a lead tipped round into the rifle and fired at the Assassin's rear leg so it could not pounce on Chrono or Orin. He then folded the rifle and he and Kistrev moved towards the other two to leave the city. "Let's go Kistrev." he said in a calm tone.

"I do want the pace picked up... But your shoulder is going to break my ribs," She said as she gasped for breath. "I think Vamp has them handled for now... but we need to be ready. If they attack you need to put me down and focus on 'them' not me."

Orin licked her cheek before re-adjusting his shoulder "Your fault for not wanting me to carry you on my back..."

"Thank you. And I didn't refuse... It just hurts to bend my knee, let alone touch it." Rowan laughed and winced as a shot of pain ran through her leg.

Vamp and Kistrev walked up and Vamp, hearing Rowan's statement, dug a small pill bottle out and handed on to Rowan, "Here, Vicoden."

Rowan smiled. "Thank you so much Vamp." She took the pill and swallowed it quickly. With in an hour her pain was still present but her caring had ceased .

"what doesnt kill you will only make you weaker.... err, wait... i think i got that wrong somewhere..." Kitt shrugged embaressedly brushing back an ear... "my english... it is'a not'a so good!"

Vamp patted Kistrevs back and said, "Ahh, well. I doesn't matter. We understand you." He then turned his head to see the Assassin trying futily to pursue them but it couldn't walk correctly let alone run.

Rowan dropped down from Orin's shoulder and hobbled away from him. She pulled her gun and laughed. The vicoden had went to her head. "Let's go you mangy Cats!" She let out another crazed laugh and shot repeatedly at the assassins.

Seeing Rowan empty a clip and missing completely, he walk over to the assassin and injected it wit a powerful tranquilizer to put it to sleep. "Let's go before it wakes up." he said.

"mangy cat? i do hope your not talking about me here..." Kistrev laughed to himself as he kicked a stone about...

Rowan pointed the gun at Kistrev and laughed. "Of course not." She said putting her gun away. She began to walk back over to Orin but quickly fell and stood back up her leg was now bleed. "Oh great... Can we Just stay here and wait!? I sick of this falling down crap," she said holding her leg. Her eyes rolled as she swayed back and forth slightly.

Orin sighed before taking out his desert eagle, and shot the assassin in the front two shoulders. "Now lets go on before they find the source of that sound" He put his desert eagle away and carried Rowan in both arms like a groom would carry a bride over the threshold of his home.

Rowan scowled at her pathetic leg. "I hate you... you know that?" She said pointing at her knee. She looked back up at Orin and smiled just before falling asleep instantly.

Orin chuckled at Rowan, kissing her just before she fell asleep. After about half an hour, he hears a purr, but doesn't sense anyone close. I'm in human form, how could they still reach me?!

Vamp had muzzled and hogtied the Assassin and slung it over his shoulder before the others moved on. "You know, when it's asleep, it looks sorta peaceful." he commented.

Kistrev put his face close enough to the muzzle of the Assasin that he could hear it's slow, heavy breathing... "yah, peacefull...." looking from the assasin to his reflection in a dust covered car window he touched the large Cat's ear with one paw before touching his own long feline ear... "strange... how alike we are...." Kistrev looked up at Vamp before moodily Kicking a stone along the curbside...

Rowan woke up in Orin's arms and shifted slowly. The gash in her left had clotted up with blood and her knee bruised beyond belief. "Holy hell..." She buried her face in his chest and clenched her teeth. "We need to stop... It's getting dark and We need to either bandage my knee or cut off my leg."

"cut your leg off? my pleasure miss rowan..." Kistrev caught sight of her knee and her expression and went silent.. "sorry, didnt see ya where in so much pain.." He went back to watching the assassin twitch in its sleep...

Rowan laughed lightly. "It's no biggy. Just hurts.." She said looking around. "We need to find shelter." She fell out of Orin's arms and landed on the ground. "Kistrev, Come with me. I'm going to need your assistance."

"mhm" Kistrev walked over to her as she lay on the ground... "you want help up?" he cocked his head to the side like a regular cat, he couldnt help it...

"No I'm fine, but we need to find a place to stay." She looked at Orin and sighed. I'll be back," She said before kissing his cheek.

Orin looked around to see if there was a nearby cat besides Kistrev. The purring was getting on his nerves and then his memories flashed back to the figure that dashed he saw it, his memory zoomed in and made the figure to be feminine, and ominously familiar. No, she couldn't have left the forest just for me. It would go against her previous tactics of massing the enemy to near-death, then again... "Okay, I'll meet up later, I think I'm still being followed..." Orin kissed her back before he jumped off the rail and readied his AK-47.
If she was going to come out, he wasn't going to be caught off guard that easily.

Rowan looked at him oddly. "Uh, i guess that's alright." She looked back kistrev and smiled weakly. "Shall we go then?" She asked. She turned anthro and began slowly swaying her tail back and forth.

"I stay here." Vamp said as he untied the assassin and put a splint on each of it's legs so it couldn't move. He then proceded to dig the bullets out and suture it's wounds.

Orin, while looking for the 'stalker', walked up a set of fire-escape stairs. He felt the presence getting closer when he reached the roof, and as he turned around he was flattened by a furry yet humanoid body. "Master Orin, so good to finally get back in touch!!" he heard as his vision cleared. It was indeed her again, but instead of her rather massive size, she was just about two inches shorter than him and had a collar around her neck. "M-Master, didn't it used to be just the opposite before?" Orin asked in confusion. She nodded and looked back to see the forest in the distance. "Shortly after I ran away, I realized I probably should have stopped fighting and got help, but by the time I got back... your collar was on the ground. So I figured the best way to make up for what I did was to be your pet instead!" Orin was both confused and slightly relieved. "If thats true, then why did you stalk me?" she lowered her ears and eyes when she heard his question. "I was afraid you would have shot me since she was with you, so I was trying to get you away fr-" Orin grabbed her collar, pulling and twisting on it so she couldn't say anything and barely breathe. "I would have shot you because you warped my mind, and 'she' is my mate, so out of my over-protective side, I would have indeed killed you." Orin let go and pushed her off. "Next time you pull something like what you did in the forest, I'm killing you personally..." Orin walked to the fire escape and looked back at her rather shaken form. "Come on pet, I need to introduce you before Rowan decides to shoot you herself..." She immedeatly nodded and followed him down the fire escape and to where Blaire was, with Orin's arm roughly grabbing her right arm and seemingly yanking her towards the hideout

"yeah im coming" Kistrev tore his gaze away from the Assasin as Vamp tended to its wounds and turned to Rowan who was now standing in anthro form... "where we gonna go then?"

Rowan was deep in thought as she searched along the streets below the rails. Her eyes flickered back and forth and back at the sun. "Dam it... I'm running out of time," She said to herself. She went back to human form and her eyes turned a glowing purple. "Human sight isn't going to help in this situation."

Orin let his eyes adjust to the darkness, although his constant changing back and forth somewhat melded some traits to his human side, like his eyes can see better in the dark, but resemble a canine's eyes more than a human's. He walked past Rowan, still pulling on his new 'pet' and almost pushing her into a relatively empty boarding house. "We'll be staying here until the sun comes back up..." Orin released the cat girl, who solemnly walked over to a nearby recliner and slumped into it.

As Vamp was fixing the creatures wounds, it awoke from it's chemicaly induced sleep but for some reason did not attack him or try to resist Vamp helping it.

Rowan ignored Orin and walked in the opposite direction of him. A gusty wind blew, sending her brown hair in swirls, whipping about her face. Her eyes glew in the darkness of the setting sun. A dark purple pushed against the light blue of the afternoon sky. Street lights began to flicker on as she walked past them. "There has to be a market somewhere." She spotted a small corner shop that seemed to have packaged foods. "I hope it's edible.." She walked in an saw an isle with sweets, pastries, and other delights. She checked some of the packages and saw that they hadn't yet expired. "These should do for a little bit." She went to the fridges and saw unopened bottles of water. "Ah, perfect." She grabbed a dozen or so bottles and looked for a bag. Her eyes flickered to a shopping cart. "That'll do," She said smiling. Rowan ran to it and put all of the products she retrieved. She skipped down the street with the cart. "Orin!" She shouted waving. Her smile quickly faded when she spotted the cat she had seen previously trying to take Orin. She let out a growl and turned feral. "What is SHE doing here?"

Orin quickly got in front of Rowan, and was attempting to keep her from tearing the cat to shreds. "Before you make mincemeat out of her, consider that I might have had no choice in the matter, she was either going to stalk me or meet me face to face while you're not around, and this is why!" a growl escaped with those last few words as he had her completely on the ground and locked all four of her limbs with his own. As he held her down, he felt fur growing out of his body again "Now please calm down before I lose control of my primal side..."

Kistrev watched from behind Rowan with mild interest, keeping an eye on the cat he purred, sitting on the hood of a wrecked out car....

Rowan growled and pushed him away from her. "Go be a hot head somewhere else," She said pushing past him and running. Her leg began to bleed profusely as the wound tore open. She stopped and collapsed onto the ground. "Damn it!" She shouted slamming her fists on the ground. She lied on her back and huffed as tears trickled from her eyes onto the cold damp pavement.

Kistrev followed Rowan at a slower pace, catching up with her where she lay weeping he knelt down beside her... he didnt say anything, just kneeling there... looking away he sighed, sitting down looking up into the dark sky and rolling clouds...

Rowan looked at Kistrev. "I'm pathetic. I'm so hot tempered and spastic."

Orin stood up and felt wolf ears on the back of his head. "Great, nice time for the instincts to kick in... pet, whats your former name?" he asked his previous stalker. "H-huh, oh, my former name was Khristy, but i've been called mistress ever since I became this...until now anyway, Ma-" Orin shut her mouth again, the ears slowly turning human. "Don't... I have no power over anyone, now you should find some place to hide out while I go get punched out by Rowan" Orin started out the door and mumbled "Its the least I deserve of all the things I did..."

Rowan sat quietly as her fur faded away. Her tan skin showed smoothly. She sighed and shut her eyes. Her soft lips let out a cloud of steam from her breath against the cold air.

Orin saw Rowan lying on the ground, her wound open and her body changing back, and sighed before unholstering his other desert eagle and tossing it next to her hand. "Shoot me if you still feel furious at me... but let me fix that leg up so you can sit up right" Orin kneeled down and took out a roll of gauze, looking at it with a somewhat confused face. How many of these things do I have?!

Kistrev watched the pair with an air of bemusement... he didnt seem to grasp just what was going on here.... Sighing he leant back against a car with a hollow thump, watching Chrono unroll some gauze..

Rowan pushed the gun away. "I do not wish to shoot you." Rowan did not open her eyes or even face towards him. "You are an absolute hot head and it needs to stop."

"Its hard to control instincts when I can change into a wolf anthro at will, and holding you down kinda...." he trailed off as he covered the wound back up. "I've just been on edge ever since I was manipulated into attacking you. I just want to be with you without having cats breathing down my neck, no offense Kitt" Orin took the desert eagle and holstered it before changing into his anthro form, and feeling the instincts back off. "Or maybe my body is telling me that I can't fool myself...I'm half a beast and nothing can change it..." he stayed by Rowan, making sure no feral cats attacked her.

Standing up he kicked the car door with a hollow clang and set off down the sidewalk....

"I understand but we need to fix it. The attitude issue i mean," She said looking at him. Her skin touched his fur as she put her face in his chest as she ran her fingers through his fur. Her size was tiny in comparison to his large size.

Kistrev looked back at the pair on the road.... he felt like terrible.... he wanted to be alone from everyone.... setting off at a light jog he ran through the shadows of the street... jumping onto a fire escape he clambered up onto the roof of the building, there he sat paws dangling over the edge, watching the sunset... alone...

Chrono held her hand in his fur before gently putting it down. "The attitude came from pent up instincts... I don't have that issue unless i've been outside my anthro form for too long, and maybe because I really don't want a fight to break out when I can easily prevent it from happening, like with you and Khristy...."

"Well if you think I'm gonna be nice to that mangy flee bag, you're crazy. If anything I would tear her throat out," She said pulling away from him.

Vamp finished operating on the Assassin and look the creature over. His eyes locked on the Assassin's, he saw a sort of fear in it's eyes, fear and pain filled it's eyes and Vamp felt sorry for the being. It had not chosen to be this, nor did it have a choice. He took the splints off but it did not attack him, almost as if it knew his good intentions. It just stood up and followed along side Vamp, like a pet and owner going for a walk. He had tamed the beast, and it now trusted him.

Kistrev jumped down from the fireexit into the shadows of the alley, he felt free again and alone.... Watching round the corner of the Alley he saw Vamp with an Assasin walking beside him, curious he continued to watch as Vamp got closer, remaing in the shadows...

"I'm not expecting you to be nice, but I'm also expecting you to not kill her on sight, I'll do it myself if it comes to such..." Orin then walked away a few feet before bringing another thought up. "You know, nobody had a choice to become what they are, not every cat is out to kill us..." he walks off to the hide-out, and opens the door just in time to almost get pounced by Khristy. He grabs her by the head and holds up a few feet. "Miss me, or thought I was Rowan?" After a few hisses and meowls of distress, she relaxes and hangs from where hes holding her up. "Mostly the first, and partially the second... why is your hand fuzzy?" Orin just dropped her and closed the door, hearing another meow as he walked back to Rowan. "Okay, so maybe I should introduce her to Kitt first...."

"I have no interest in meeting her at all. I'd rather burn in the depths of hell," She growled. Rowan stood and looked at Orin angrily. "I'm going hunting. I'll be back, and don't bother following me." She pushed past him and ran down the street. She quickly went feral and picked up speed. Thought kept running through her mind. "You'll never see him again. He's with me now." The cats voice played in her mind. "Damn that over grown mangy cat." She went back to anthro and walked into the park. "Rowan I'm sorry, but Orin left yesterday." Her brothers words danced. The memory of his death kept playing over and over, as it mixed with the thought of the incident back in the woods. She spotted the lake and went to the edge and leaned over. The reflection of the moon showed her own in the rippling water.

Orin wanted to chase after her, but then saw Khristy opening the door and dashed towards him. He quickly unholstered his desert eagle and aimed it at her head. "First you try to tackle me, now you left the safehouse, and came after me even I told you not to.... give me a reason not to kill you" "B-But Ma- I mean Orin, why arn't you inside yet?" "I'm waiting on Rowan to come back from the forest" "But she atta-" Orin got up and stood over her, on the verge of beating her to death. "I'm trying to get her to accept you, and since then, you've been making it harder and ha-" "You don't like me at all, is that it?!" and Orin snapped. He grabbed her by the neck, and slammed her entire frame into a nearby cement wall. "You just stepped over the line, and just got abandoned." He tossed her through the window and stormed off into the forest. Great, I just lost myself in anger and confusion, now I have to explain the situation to Rowan...

Rowan continued walking. Her ears twitched as sticks broke behind her. "Who's there?!" She shouted pulling her brother's custom desert eagle. She growled and spun around rapidly.

Orin, covered in several wounds that were not there when he entered the forest, raised his hands but still walked towards Rowan. Finally, I was worried you were in danger... he mouthed these words before collapsing in the mist, his limbs feeling too heavy to move.
(An hour ealier, on the outskirts of the forest)
Orin was walking into the forest when he felt a kick hit the back of his head, but before he could react, two more kicks knocked him to the ground. He tried to get up but felt a gun barrel at the back of his neck. "I've been waiting ever since you two hooked up before the 'wave' to step in, but she would have liked you too much to accept this..." "Duke, now is not the time for-" "Yes, yes it is the time, shes finally angry enough at you... and like that cat made you hers, I plan to do the same to Ro-" Orin didn't care if the gun was at his neck as he spun around, kicking the arm holding him down. He got up and landed a nice punch right in Duke's face. "How long have you been screwing with me.... just tell me Duke!" the brown-mustard yellow wolf chuckled "Ever since you've taken those jobs, you would have kept those if I didn't persuade the manager to fire your stupid self every time... I have to admit you were quite stubborn to support her, not many go through eleven jobs and still hope to get work" Orin gritted his teeth and started punching and kicking Duke in a style mixed between shadow boxing and traditional karate. After a the flurry of attacks, Duke caught Orin's foot and tossed him to a tree, shooting his forearms and one of his thighs while he was trying to get back up. "Just give it up, she doesn't want a hot-head that can't even hol-" Orin took the gun out of Duke's hand and pistol whipped him before kneeing and then driving an elbow right into the back of his neck. "If you want to fight me, shut up and fight...." as Duke's tried to get back on his feet, Orin round-house kicked him into another tree, aiming the gun at his head. "Any last words, 'Bro'?" then the unexpected occoured, a roar went off in his head and flipped his balance upside-down for a few seconds.
"Leave Dukes alone Orin!!" he heard before his vision cleared. He saw Khristy with Duke, she was standing in front of him, ready to fight. "This is exactly why I really hate being alone, a duel constantly gets interrupted by someone who perfers to double-team me-" "Just shut up Orin, Duke wasn't even going to bother with Ro-" "Khristy, you came just in time to ruin the mood... now how is he going to take me seriously?!" Duke looked at Khristy with some anger, but calmed down "Fine, I probably should have told you, but I tho-" "Would someone bother to tell me whats going on, or do I have to cap you both before going back to Rowan?" Khristy smirks and looks at Duke with an 'I told you so' demeanor, and Duke sighs. "Ever since you ran into my girlfriend Khristy, we've been making sure you ran into as little trouble while still testing your relationship's strength, but when you went looking for her, she had to fake being your pet... you know the rest..." Orin gritted his teeth and emptied the last two rounds into the dirt before throwing the gun at Dukes. "You mean you wasted my time I could have spent finding her over some pointless test?!" Orin stormed deeper into the forest, the mist starting to take effect on his somewhat wearied body.

Rowan run to him and knelt beside him. "Who did this?" She asked holding him. She looked around and growled loudly. "KHRISTY!" She shouted. She looked back down at Orin. She began to cry as she craddled his head. "I'm so sorry."

Orin looked up at Rowan and smirked. "Well, turns out Khristy and my "bro" Duke are also lovers, but they felt like-" Orin coughed, he felt somewhat dehydrated in all of this fog. "they felt like our relationship should be tested, but I think they're done for now... they probably know I can take either of them out if I wanted to" he then laid his head back and took deep breaths before handing her another roll. "Don't ask where I get them, just cover these bullet holes before I bleed to death..."

Rowan nodded and began to gently wrap his wounds. "I still don't like her. At all," She growled.

"Yes, but I know one thing for sure... you are definatly worth the pain I go through" Orin nuzzled against her before starting to doze off.

As Vamp walked along he tried to grasp the situation. He and Kistrev were just trying to survive, Orin and Rowan were having a coflict with this Duke guy, who Vamp wouldn't trust as far as he could throw him, and one of them named Khristy who were of god knows were. Vamp sighed and looked down at his new friend and noticed his ribs could be seen through his fur. He dug out a strip of dried meat and fed it to his new friend who ate it quickly. "You need a name. How about Sion?" he said to the Assassin.

Kistrev walked out of the shadowy alleyway, watching the assasin carefully.. "hey vamp... nice to see ya got a new friend.."

"You mean 'we'. He won't attack unless he's defending something." Vamp replied with a smile, scratching Sion's head gently.

Kistrev knelt down beside the assasin, and gripped its head gently with two paws.... staring into its eyes he looked back up to Vamp... "mm, well i hope so Vamp..." as he started to stand again the assasin reacted with blinding speed, crimson blood flowed from the gash in Kistrev's arm... "Dammit Vamp he bit me! ow.. jeez that stings... you said he wouldn attack!?" The assasin settled down on its haunches, tail swishing nervously, looking from Vamp to Kistrev with sad eyes....
"god! look at that eh?" Kistrev showed Vamp the large cut in his arm, the crimson blood mixing with some dark substance, like oil in a puddle... "eugh, Assasin saliva... lovely..." Dabbing at the wound with his mucky trousers he attempted to stem the flow of blood... wierd though... it had already healed up to the extent where little blood was still pouring out... shrugging and leaving it down to good luck and chance he watched the assasin warily....

Vamp looked at Sion and gave him a look that made the Assassin cower, "You'll be fine. But if it happens again, I'll take care of it."

Kistrev watched the assasin carefully, before stifling a laugh.. "its a cat, eat cat, world out here Vamp.." sucking on the cut Kistrev inspected it.... wierd... the fur just around the wound had gone black rather than its normal grey.... musta been that black gunk the assasin had got on him, musta been... ignoring it for the moment he looked up from it to Vamp.. "where we goin now then?"

"Oh hush. You only protect me because you think I need it," She said smiling. She finished bandaging him and helped him up. "come on... Don't fall asleep on me please."

Orin pouted with the full puppy-dog package. "But you're much comfier than any bed i've got" he then reached to grab what he thought was his desert eagle and got nothing but a gun-sling. "Right, I threw my gun at Duke when he explained that stuff..." After a few moments of self-reflected idiocy, he sighed and dusted off the fur on his legs. "I remember the way back to the safe-house, or would you feel better if I followed?"

"Perhaps you should..." She smiiled and kissed his cheek.

Orin nodded before he took a moment to focus on his feral form. As he changed, his muscle mass increased as soon as his hands hit the ground to become paws. He looked like a Dire (Magically oversized) Wolf with a pair of black jeans tied to his waist by a belt, along with the tattered lab-coat still on his back. "I look rediculous...but it might draw less attention if I'm not bipedal..."

Rowan nodded and climbed onto his back. "Alright, lets go," She said clutching some of his fur.

Chrono grunted when Rowan climbed on top. "Oof...and now that attention just increased since i'm now treated like a mount." he mumbled before walking into the still-foggy woods. If Rowan expected a full-sprint, she should realize that Orin really can't afford to have open wounds in a form that limits his defensive abilities.

Rowan smiled and turned human, as her weight was a lot lighter in this form. "Take you're take your time, we are in no hurry."

Orin continues through the forest, smelling the blood from his wounds lead him back to the scuffle with Duke, which was near the edge of the forest. I guess that confrontation had a silver lining, I can use my blood as a trail...

Rowan patted him on the side and lied down and nuzzled him gently.

He continued until he saw the more noticeable blood-stains on the trees where he shot Duke and where Duke shot him. He stopped in the middle of the previously occupied space and looked around. "Hm...they must have either gone to the safe-house, or to her cave..." he mused before heading to the edge of the forest.

Rowan was quickly asleep on his back. Her fingers still entwined in his fur.

Vamp looked at Kistrev and said, "I don't really know. We need to stick together and find the others. We're family now and family sticks together."

"family.... you have no idea just what that means to me Vamp.... "
Kitt watched Vamp, keeping his paw shoved in his pocket, trying to disgiuse the fact that the whole paw had turned from a striped grey to a dark glossy black.... tail swishing he noticed the tip of it had also changed colour.... his tail stopped suddenly, trying to hide it behind his legs... what was going on?

Orin walked out of the forest and when approaching Kitt and Vamp, shot a look which probably went along the lines of 'be quiet and i'll let you live' as he passed them and towards the safe-house, making sure his steps didn't jostle Rowan awake.

Kitt stuck his tongue out while Orin wasnt watching.... after he did so he caught a glance at his tail... it was almost all a dark glossy black, thicker and larger like that of an assasins... turning so people couldnt see it he shoved his other paw into his jean pockets too... it also had started to turn a glossy black, like an ink stain... he hoped for the life of him that his ears or the rest of his body started to change.... he wished this was just a dream.. to wake up... and be Lying near Vamp and the others beside a smouldering fire... or in a warm bed....

Rowan's mind danced as memories jumped around. Her brother's last words played over and over in her head. She flinched every few seconds, as if someone was repeatedly jabbing her.

Vamp noticed Kistrev's fur darkening near his wrist and asked, "Hey, Kistrev. Did you put your hands in some soot or something?"

"uh... i musta.... dont remember doin it though >.<"..... Kitt kept his paws in his pockets, hoping Vamp didnt notice the tail ... and if anything else started to change... he had no idea how he was gonna explain it...

Orin opened the door to the safe-house and was momentarily stunned. He saw both Duke and Khristie at the dinner table eating like they weren't expecting company, he felt their eyes briefly give him a twice-over and then resumed their eating as Orin walked up to the second floor bedrooms. He got to a king-sized bed and rolled Rowan onto it before changing back into his anthro form and sitting down behind her.

Kistrev's heart missed a beat as he caught sight of his tail, it was now thicker than before... but that wasnt the most noticable or shocking thing... it was now a deep glossy black that had the same sheen as spilt ink.. or oil in water.... His palms felt sweaty in his pockets, breath short and fast... he had to think fast...

Vamp glanced over at kistrev's fur and noticed it darkening. "Whoa! Kistrev, What happened?"

Kistrev fell backwards against a car, trying to scramble back onto his feet, backing away from Vamp...
"i, i, i dont know... help Vamp! help!"
The feline, pulled himself back to his feet, before collapsing backwards again... the irises of his eyes had turned from their normal green to a shining gold...

Rowan opened her eyes and turned to Orin. "What are we doing? I mean... why are we always fighting?" She asked.

Orin thought about it for a good half a minute before answering. "If its us, then its probably because of our personalities clashing. If you're talking about 'them', they see us as food and as threats, so they try to eliminate us... do I need to elaborate on either?" he asked with complete honesty, since he can't answer such a generic title as 'we'.

"I meant us Orin." Her eyes were a deep glassy blue. She looked away then back to his eyes.

Orin's eyes widened and he quickly nodded. "Our personalities are one reason, I'm assuming you like to be able to...uh, be treated like an equal by me. While I tend to treat you as someone that I can't bear to live without, so I tend to treat you like you can't help yourself. Wow i'm blunt" he said aloud as he realized how much he just said about himself.

Rowan's eyes widened. "You need me?" She asked, her voice quivering.

Orin tried to bring his reason, but wasn't sure if it was the one she wanted to hear. "You think i'd go back into that forest for someone like Kitt or Vamp?" he then sighed and looked her right in the eyes. "The whole relationship breaking up was so I could see if it was our situation that made it hard to land a job, so yea, I do need you..." he said with a slight smile at her, while his fur thankfully hid a blush that steadily grew redder.

Rowan patted the space next to her on the bed. she smiled. "I need you too."

Orin's ears went down and the blush was now visible. "Um, shouldn't we at least attempt a marrige before we do this.... I mean it kinda kills the relationship if we do it before then..."

Rowan let out a laugh. "You are crazy," She chuckled. She lay back down, her head flopping on the pillow.

The blushed increased further as he tried to defend himself. "I was raised this way, and I thought it would be better to treat you right then as just a teenage hormone induced fatuation.... how did I come up with that?!" He fell to the couch and whined, confusing himself to the point of a headache.

Rowan crawled next to him and laughed. "You need to just relax. No teenage hormones or fatuations."

She then stood and held out her hand. "You look tired. Come rest with me." She smiled and bent down, her hands on her thighs. Her face was close to his.

Orin sighed and took her hand, climbing onto the bed with her. "Just nothing.... raunchy, alright?" he asked, hoping she'll agree. His mind was in a flux and hormones were not making his situation any better by trying to push him towards the feral instinct to breed with his chosen mate, and he was right now within a fur's length of said mate.

"unless cuddling is raunchy..." She looked at him oddly and laughed lightly. "You need to relax." She gently stroked his hair, hoping to calm him. Her eyes swirled a light blue and purple haze.

Vamp dug some items out of his satchel and leaned over Kistrev's arm. He tightened a rubber tube around his upper arm and started filling a syringe. The liquid had an amber glow to it and he injected Kistrev with it. Almost immediatly the darkening receded and his fur turned normal, "Damn, Assassin. Why did you bite him?" he said flicking the animals ear. "You'll be fine for now."

Orin sighed and despite the stroking, felt himself calm down, and he nuzzled the back of his neck into Rowan's. "So....fuzzy..." he mumbled with a smile on his face.

Rowan smiled and lied down with him. She nuzzled him gently and continued to stoke his hair.

RK awoke from his coma and returned to the safe house. He sat down on the couch and waited for someone.

Kistrev pulled himself to his feet, and was about to say thank you, before promptly lunging over the side of a low wall and throwing up.... re-emerging looking worse for wares he thanked Vamp...
"ugh... thanks.... i still dont feel... too... good..."
He turned over his paw, the darkness remained in his fur.... it didnt seem to be going entirely.... he swished his tail a few times, it too still had a black tip, and a few darker stripes....
"wierd as hell.... you think it might be permanent or summin? i might be like, half Assasin now... like a werewolf..."
He sniggered at the thought, before catching Vamps eye... he didnt look so pleased...
"what? i was just jokin.... seriously..."

Rowan sat up quickly after dozing off. Her body was misted with a sweat. Her fur that she once slept it was gone and her tan skin showed. She looked at Orin and lied back down was a light thud as she let out a sigh. She shut her eyes and opened them slowly. The ceiling began to swirl slowly as the starry sky appeared. Her eyes still swirled light blue and purple. She shut her eyes again and was soon blacked out. Her body shivered and her skin was dangerously hot to the touch.
