Cyrus was on patrol as usual, and as usual...nothing was attacking. Whats the point of being on patrol if nobody is coming to attack? he thought as he finished the route, then went back the same way. For someone who hates vampires, Cyrus is unusally happy when he comes across one thats trying to kill him.

Cyrus hears someone say 'Hult', and stops dead in his tracks, keeping a hand on his broadsword. sounds like I thought too soon..

" i've never seen you around here before.....who are you?"
i keep my hand on my long blade as i see his hand on his arms. the other young knights look over my shoulder i can feel them breath down my neck. *why do i get stuck with them*

He turns around just a bit, not too much to show his whole face. "I'm on patrol, so I should be asking the same from you". His blade gave off a light yellowish glow, showing the enchantment it was given.

"I'm Riku one of the head nights for the furchtlos kingdom."
i stare him in the eyes,"dose the king know you are here?"
one of the young knight fall as they try to get closer to me.
i glare at the young one but go back to what i was doing

He makes a full turn towards her, and draws his sword, expecting a fight due to the group of dark knights behind her. "The king only knows that I'm on patrol, he also knows where, so yes, he knows i'm here..."

i turn to the young one one the ground and pic him up by the calor and place him on his feet

Cyrus starts advancing towards him, a hint of bloodlust in his eyes. "I'm sorry, but you'll have to die now...my orders are to eliminate any vampires I come across on my patrol path, dark knights included..." the glow of his broadsword grows even brighter in response to his hostility.

i swiftly grab my long blade as it glows blood red.
"big mistake."
i chant a few words and black rose vines grab his legs and pull him down the thorns sink deep into his legs locking in.
still i stand my ground.

"Gah!!" Cyrus yelled as the vines threw off his form. Then his eyes glow white as he punches the ground, sending a wave of light into the ground, destroying the vines and sending him out of the ground. he flips twice before landing in front of him, broadsword at the neck. "Nice trick, but even basic spells can get rid of this..." He then hefted the sword up and swung down at him.

right before he hit me i disappread and reappeard behind him with my blade at his neck and dagger at his chest. his blade flew into the river,sinking far down to the bottom."your becoming a pest!! now why dont we stop this!"
i dont let my gaurd down one bit. i still have energy left. what the is his problem i did let him on his way but he just gose after me. "so what do you say. i have nothing agenst you." i keep my hold on him.

Hearing commotion, I smile. "Finally. Something interesting in the god-for-sakin' kingdom." I moan as I run and get changed into my huntress uniform. I pull a black cloth over my muzzle to hide myself. I then jump from the balcony into the nearest tree. Jumping from tree to tree, I keep as quiet as possible. I hope its something I can do away with... it's absolutely BORING here I thought to myself finally approaching the commotion. I jump down after spotting a familiar guard. I then notice a large dragon. I smirk behind the mask and proceed cautiously forward. "What is your purpose on my grounds?" I ask forcefully.

He lowers his arms, knowing he's been defeated. "You would be furious as well at whoever turned your whole family against you, now are you going to kill me or turn me into one of the undead...?" Cyrus fought many vampires before, and this was the second time he lost, the first time he wasn't given the option to get away after attacking, so he can't trust that even after just trying to kill him that he would still be released. He didn't even hear what another voice said, trying to gather enough energy for a defensive spell.

I looked at the dragon, listening to his words. "That's not a custom we perform here...." I growl being slightly offended. Although I am a vampire, I don't harm anyone, or at least not with my teeth. I removed the mask after jumping into a tree, hiding who i truly was. Lousy dragon... thinking we only BITE beings... I pick up a decent sized nut from the tree and hit him on the head with it.

"WE ONLY 'BITE' TO FEED. i will let you live....but you must come with me."
i put the shakals on him pull toward the castle. sevral of the head knight came to my side.
"boss we herd all the cammotion. what happend."

I drop down before i realize that my mask is not in place. I follow the head knight cautiously. I stop and decide to go find some more action. That was dumb... now to find something worth fighting. I think as i scurry away. I continue to the territory of the enemy king. "I hope i find something here to kill, or battle." I look around at the charred land. "Wow... talk about poor landscaping." I stop at the sound of another wolf. "I can smell you... come out if you dare." I whip around and see a tall, strong male. "uh... who are you? and what do you want?" I ask standing my ground firmly. The male wolf's red markings glow against his black fur. "I am Blade, I am the Leader of the kings army. Who might you be?" he growled, his white fangs gleaming. "I'm..." I gotta make something up FAST I thought to myself. "I'm Rowan..." Not what I MEANT! I argue with myself. Blade stands up straight and smirks. "Ahh, Rowan. You know you shouldn't be out here... You daddy might find out." He taunted. He rested a paw on his sword. I looked down slightly then back at his red eyed. I slowly stepped backwards and tripped. "You are quite pathetic, but cute. How about we say you come with me... and I wont have to kill you." He smiled. "Uhh.. sorry can't do that." I got up and began to run. A sudden grasp and jerking feeling on my arm stopped me. "What the hell are you going to do with me!?" I pleaded. "Oh... you'll see." He said leading me to his home just outside the castle.

i drop the dragon and leap to rowan."Gott verdammt!"
i catch up and make rowan dissapre.
"BACK OFF!!!" as i pull my blade out.

Blade smirks, "Oh please Riku. You've lost once, you'll lose again." He growled baring his fangs and disappeared and reappeared next to me. "See ya.." He laughed and vanished again. I reached forward trying to grab Riku. "NOO!" My voice belted then echoed.

Cyrus had just finished gathering energy, and his armor began to emit light when he was finished. Then he was released, somewhat of a shock, but he got up and jumped into the river, breaking his cuffs with stored up magic. He let his armor drag him to the bottom as he retrieved his sword, then shot another blast of light as the ground to shoot himself out of the river and back on land. "Not what I planned, but hey, still got my sword..." he said as he followed the vampire's trail, seeing Blade vanish in the distance...

Blade held me close as we reappeared at the cliffs. The wind was strong as the sky darkened. "It's going to storm. Hopefully that'll slow them down." He said looking at the sky. I looked at him and pushed away from him. "What do you WANT!?" I demanded. He looked at me, his expression calm. "If I have you... I have everything." I looked at him confused. "What do you mean?" I asked slightly calmed. He walked over to the edge of the cliffs. "If I keep you with me, The king will make me of higher Archy and your father will be helpless. Not to mention, your beautiful." he smirked. I looked at him quickly and started stepping backwards. "So your going to hold me hostage?" I sat on the ground and began to think.

What the heck is Blade doing now?! Cyrus thought has he ran past the other vampire, his wings spreading out from his armor. He took to the skies, seeing two figures all alone on the cliffs quite a distance from him. If its not Blade, I'll just say it was an accidental landing he thought as he sped towards the figures.

I held my knees close as Blade went out searching. Why can't I just leave... it would be the right time i thought to myself, still motionless. I looked at the skies. I then got up and went over to the edge of the cliff and sat down as the sun disappeared in the distance.

"MOTHER FFF!!!" i pounded the ground "not again..."
i ran to my horse and got on.

blade returned and walked up behind me. "I'm slightly amazed you didn't leave..." He sat next to me and held me close. "Being nice to me isn't going to make me like you and this situation." I growled lowly.

Despite the obvious fact that Blade out-classes him in almost every way, Cyrus couldn't just do nothing while Blade did as he pleased. Thats the same reason he landed by the cliffs, and noticed the female that threw the nut at him, but now he could see her face. Regardless of who she is, even a vampire shouldn't be used as a tool for personal gain. He thought as he approached her, his arms at his side, his left hand holding his broadsword in case a fight starts. "Its been awhile since I last met you, but you still look like a phompus soldier..."

Blade looked up and stood. "Ah, Cyrus... What are you doing here?" He growled. I looked up at the dragon. My features were unlike the Knight Cyrus had encountered earlier. I had a more lively look. I didn't look undead, or similar to a vampire at all. The only thing that showed was my glowing blue eyes. I began to inch away from blade and the dragon. What is he doing here? I thought getting far enough away.

He takes another step, but stops when he thinks he just sees a regular female being held captive and not a vampire. "First, I was going to kill you for taking my whole family from me, but now I'll just have to obliterate you for involving others....". Cyrus was hardly tired from the swim and the flight, since magic supplied the energy, and not his own consiousness. "Now release the maiden..."

My eyes flickered to meet the dragons. The intensity of the blue showed fear and sadness. I then looked at blade who positioned himself in front of me. "Not likely Cyrus. I'm not using her for only person achievement. It's more than that." He said calmly and rested a paw on his large blade. "Now... Why don't you fly off and find some village to burn."

"I'll say it once again...release her now..." His armor started to glow again, and his blade almost looked like it was made entirely of light...

"No. I will not." Blade growled and unsheathed his blade. He stood steadily, ready for impact. I closed my eyes and whispered a chant. I vanished and reappeared next to the dragon. Blade looked over and bared his teeth. "Wrong move beautiful." He quickly jumped back and vanished. I looked around worriedly. Unable to stay still I tried to run. I stopped at the edge of the forest, unknowing of my surroundings.

i jump down from a tree next to Cyrus

i bare my fangs.

I turn and see Riku. Quickly vanishing I reappear in front of the dragon.

Cyrus cursed under his breath as he saw Blade vanish, denying him a rematch with the same man who ruined his life so many years ago. Then he saw the man from before appear and bare his fangs, then the wolfess from before. "Look, don't judge me by what I said back there, I still hate vampires for what they did to my family, but if you need my help, then I'm willing to assist..." he said to her, hardly believing hes actually going to try and help...

I looked back him, now being closer he could see how different i was to the male vampire. My eyes were glowing. "Don't worry about it. You got me away from him. That's more than what would have happened with any others. I thank you." I smiled warmly. I looked back at Riku. "Halt!" I ordered. "I'm fine... you may go back to the kingdom. I'm staying out here for a bit." I looked at Riku sternly.

i relaxe a bit still stress about all of this.

suddenly i jump to a hult.
look over at Cyrus
and shake head and smile a bit.
" i must take rowan back to father or its my head."

"tell him I'm on a hunt or something. I refuse to be trapped in that palace." I looked at him frustrated. I then walked over to the cliff and sat down.

Cyrus took his blade and put it away, the glow of his armor fading. "I will watch over her, do not worry, I have no interest in killing a vampire filled with sadness, and Blade might come back...after I deal with him, my vendetta with vampires is over..."

I heard the dragons words as my ears perked slightly. I looked down and saw that there were ledges on the cliff. I looked back and started to climb down without a sound. Please, don't let me fall i thought pleading as I continue my descent downwards.

Cyrus saw what looked like the girl falling off the ledge, and he didn't give a second thought as he ran towards her, leaping off and expanding his wings just in time to catch her if she was falling.

"OFF WITH IS HEAD!!" I said in a deep voice

"TWACK!!" I stoped and said to my self "wow i realy miss Sappira, atlest there was someone to talk to."

I looked at the dragon. "Thank you..." My voice calm. After landing on the solid ground I looked at the Dragon. "And you are?" I asked sheepishly.

"sir."
"yes?"
"you daughters out hunting."
"without a knight!?" he stood up and hovered over me
"no sir.." i stayed down "shes with another knight."
"who?" looked at me as if he had an idea
"my brother..." i looked up a bit.
"huh.."
i walk away and telepathically told rowan to hurry her father is suspecting something.

I looked at the dragon as the message came in. No. I'll get back when I get back. I responded. I then sent a message to my father. Don't worry I'm fine. I'm with Riku's Brother. We are hunting deer. I consoled him. He responded back, Alright, don't be too late. After the message came in I looked at the cliff. "If I shout, that means I need you." I looked at him and went and started climbing down.

He looked up with a grin, his wings steadily beating to keep him afloat. "Okay, just make sure that you don't slip again, alright?" he then looked around to see if Blade was going to come around anytime soon...

I continued downward as I sudden tug on my ankle brought me off of the wall and down to the ledge 10 feet below me. I hit the ground hard as a rock sliced my arm. I looked at what had caused it. Blade stood over me and covered my mouth. "Don't scream, or I'll kill you now." His eyes flickered to mine as he stared blankly at me. I nodded quickly as he lifted me up. "Now... I'm going to take you to the springs in the black mountains. Don't try to struggle. You'll only make it harder on yourself." He held my wrist tightly, bruising my skin. CYRUS!!! I screamed in thought. Blade held a dagger to my throat making sure I didn't scream as he let go of my mouth.

He spined around when he heard something yell in his head. He then saw Blade holding up the girl he was watching over. "When will you learn to just give up!" Cyrus yelled as he flew straight at Blade.

Blade shoved me off the ledge onto another one a few feet down. "When will you learn! You can't beat me!" He growled and lunged at the dragon. His claws and fangs bared. I landed hard and fell unconscious. Blade howled loudly as lighting struck the top of the cliff. Small rocks flew into the air from the strike as thunder boomed.

Cyrus drew his broadsword, his reach far extending past Blade's as he aimed to cut him down once and for all. During the charge, his armor lit up again, the light only weakening those akin to darkness...

Blade struck Cyrus as they crashed to the ledge below. Blade had met his sword with his own as another bolt of lighting struck and thunder rolled. Blade kicked Cyrus' jaw and lunged the blade at him. He let out another howl before lunging at him again. His claws and fangs sank through the armor.

Cyrus blocked the sword, preventing his lunge from working, but when the fangs sunk in, Cyrus almost blacked out. It can't be...am I...losing my life? he thought as his armor automatically retaliated the bite by unleashing its spell, giving off enough light to be almost like a mini-sun, but at the cost of all of the wearer's mana and physical energy. This left Cyrus with barely a thread of consiousness, and a numb pain in the bite's location...

I shook my head after regaining consciousness. "What the..." I looked up and saw Cyrus. I quickly jumped up and stood at his side. I unsheathed my blade, its white purity was glowing. I looked at Blade as he smirked and went to lunge at Cyrus again. My blade met his as I forced back a little. I looked back at Cyrus and placed my hand on the bitten armor. I chanted as a gleam illuminated and the armor was partially repaired. I placed the mask over my face and lunged at Blade, my sword back in its holder. My fangs grew as I sank them into his chest.

Blade shook me off and threw me against the wall after biting my shoulder. He then made his way back to Cyrus. "Your weak. Did you honestly think you could defeat me? Pathetic." He snarled.

out of know where a flock of crows fly toward Blade, ripping apart flesh and digging into his skin,
dogbanne grabs him and pulls him down. wolves come to eat him alive. the grown shakes and starts to fall underneath him.
i stand on a far rock

Blade slices at the birds cutting them as their blood spews all over. He fights the wolves and plunges his sword deep into their bodies. He quickly runs over to my limp body and grabs me. With a quick chant we both vanish.

i garb Cyrus and tellaport to where blade is

Blade hold me tightly and kisses my cheek. "She's beautiful... Don't you agree Riku? How about you Cyrus?" He taunted.

"LET GO OF HER YOU SKUM BAG!!"
i bare my fangs and grip my blade.
gose to a blank stare for some reason she reminded me of Sappira shakes it off

I slowly wake up and see blade. The glow of my eyes illuminates his chest as I stay motionless. Cyrus kill him! please? my voice pleaded in his mind.

Cyrus was out of it, reliving his past of Blade turning his entire family into ghouls. Then the effects of the bite started to sink in....
The ground Cyrus was lying on gave off another blast of light, and when it dispersed, Cyrus had no armor, his broadsword was in his hand, and his entire body gave off an eerie white light... Blade, your ego caused you to make the biggest mistake you will ever make... Chrono said in Blade's mind, leaping down and in a blinding burst of speed, shoves his whole foot into Blade's face, the speed and force enough to at least break his jaw.

Blade hit the ground hard, as he threw me. "AHH!" I screamed before hitting the hard rocky earth. "Damn it..." I looked over at Cyrus and Blade. Blade grabbed hold of Cyrus' foot and spun him around and sent him flying into a wall of rock.

"ROWAN GO SOWHERE SAVE!!!!"
I gave her a serious stare but also worrieful for her sake.

Cyrus recovered, his feet landing on the rock just in time for him to jump off and fly towards Blade again. I'm not the same paladin you just fought moments ago, your bite saw to that Blade... He then gathered light in his hand, and threw salvos of light spheres at Blade.
(This is basically a rare-occasion thing, but he'll still be a vampire when this ends...)

Blade was struck by the spheres and hit the ground after flying through the air. He struggled to get up as he collapsed back down. I looked over and backed away.

Cyrus landed beside Blade, and in his rage, forgot what he used to be as he lifted Blade up, baring his fangs for a final bite...

Blade's body lay bloodied and motionless. I watched in horror at the carnage. My body began to tremble as my eyes filled with water. "oh...." I muttered out.

i ran to rowan
"hey....hey..u ok?"
i got really worried. "why am i this worried?" i whisperd
"rowan?"

I couldn't take my eyes off of the motionless body. I stood and walked over to it. His eyes showed pain and anger, even though he was breathless.

(Guys, or Gals if you perfer, I'm holding him up, and about to finish him off, why are you making it look like hes already dead?)
Cyrus starts to regian mental control, as his face starts to contort, and his fangs back away, but its almost too tempting to resist finishing him off in the most ironic way possible.

I watched Cyrus as he held Blade. Blade began to struggle trying to escape his grasp. "Go ahead... Do it. You don't have it in you to." he said frustrated.

Blade's words hit hard, snapping Cyrus out of his rage. "You're right, I don't have it in me, I'd rather kill you with a sword then stoop to your level, filth..." Cyrus replied, putting his sword right through Blade's heart, which not only pierces it, but also sends actual sunlight through Blade's entire body. He started to shrivel up and break apart into ashes, which the wind picked up and blew away....
Cyrus started to lose his glow and collapsed as his power left him.

I looked at Cyrus and ran over to him. I hugged him tightly around his large neck. My eyes lightened as fear left my body.

i sat down to think.
i keep shaking my head.
"why did blade look familair to me and why
dose saph-i mean Rowan look like my dead mate."
i said as soft as i could being tired cuz of magic and no sleep and hunger

I smiled and let go of Cyrus. "Thank you. So much." I sat in front of him. I grabbed his claw and placed my paw in his large hand. I shut my eyes and transferred energy from my body to his own.

Cyrus regained consiousness, and remembered what he now is, which brought a tear to his eye. "I'm no longer worthy of the light..." he said to himself as he ignored the girl in front of him, and held up his blade, and with almost no regrets, aimed it at his heart, knowing it wouldn't kill him if it hit anywhere else...Please have mercy on this wretch of a Paladin...

My eyes opened widely. "NO!" I pulled the sword out of his large claw. "Are you crazy!?" I looked at him, noticing something had changed. "Riku... he's..he's one of us... we need to help him..." I looked at him my eyes showed worry.

" theres no help him. the dark takes over the good in anyone. i'm sorry i wish i could help."
i look down
"no light or dark magic can help,nothing.."

I look back at Cyrus saddened. "There must be SOMETHING!" I shouted angrily. I punched the ground with my fist. I look back at Cyrus. "I will find you a cure.. if its that last thing I do." I promised.

The energy around cyrus starts going off in black and white explosions, while he is on the ground cringing. part of him was turning vampiric, while the other started to give off an eerie light, like both light and darkness were waging a stalemate in his body, causing pain to erupt everywhere.

I backed up. It'll be over soon... just let it happen My voice soothed in his mind.

Part of Cyrus' body seemed like it was going to give, but instead, the darkness started to arch back to the other side, while a section darkness gave way to light, which also arched back to it original side, making it look like that they were mixing, rather than fighting.

I looked at Riku. "Father must be worried... Watch Cyrus. Bring him to the palace when he's done. I'll meet you there." I said as I whistled for my horse. A white horse appeared out the forest. I jumped on and road back to the palace.

i nod. i sit there waiting.

Chrono stopped spazing and laid still, his mind blank from the pain of the change. What happened, why do I still feel the light inside me? he thought before going to sleep. His blade still had its glow, but it made a small barrier around Cyrus to prevent more darkness from attacking...

I get to the palace as the guards open the gates. "Where have you been young lady?" he asked furiously. "I'm 17, I'm fine..." I growled. "Where is Riku's brother?" "He found a large deer and went after it..." I said putting my horse in the stall. "I'm going to go help him with it once he gets back." I walked past my father and went up to my room. Riku? How is he doing?

he's relaxed and it stoped. i said with a tone i've never used

Alright. I'll be there soon. I shut my door and went to the balcony and jumped down. I then raced back to the mountain where Riku was waiting. "What was with that tone?" I asked him when I arrived.

"my mind is messing with me....so alot of things on my mind."
i turn to her
"check on him."

I walk over to Cyrus and gently touch his chest. "Cyrus? are you alright?"

Cyrus lifts his head, his eyes open, showing one eye with a white iris and a black cornea, the other a black iris and a regular white cornea. "I don't know, I feel the light, but I also feel darkness..."

i flop on the ground and look over at them

I look at him. "I think something odd happened with you... It seems as though when dark tried to take over your entire body, the Light was so powerful that it fought and claimed only half of you..." I said looking into his eyes, the my blue eyes lighting up his face slightly.

I nod in response and sit a couple feet from Cyrus. Why do I care so much for this Drolf? I barely know him... I thought to myself looking at the sun that is now setting.

He looked at her and chuckled. "Either that, or they both stopped fighting and decided to let me be the mediator..." What a foolish thought, light and darkness no longer fighting, both sides working together...but it does explain why I no longer feel pain He got up and lifted his blade, to find out the enchantment still working, but now not as strong as it once was, as another enchantment began to sit in. "You didn't happen to do anything to my sword while I was out, did you?"

Sure, I'll be there in a moment i though as I got up and grabbed Riku's sword. I looked at Cyrus. "Are you able to walk?" I swung the blade over my shoulder and stood patiently.

Cyrus takes a few steps, then realizes hes nude, using his sword to cover his indecency. "So embarassing"

I blush and giggles slightly and quickly turn away. "Umm... We should get you some clothing first" I vanish and reappear with clothing for him. I toss it at him and turn away again. My cheeks deep red.

Cyrus hides behind the sword and puts on the clothes. "I think these are either too tight, or they're your clothes...." he gets out from behind the sword, wearing a rather tight pair of chaps and a tunic, and feeling really, really, uncomfortable.

I laugh softly. "Uh... i may have grabbed the wrong ones... I'll be right back." I return with larger pants. "You don't really need a shirt" I smile my cheeks still a deep red.

Cyrus takes the pants and gets behind the sword again. "Ah, much better, and you're right, I got enough fur to cover my chest" he said as he now looks quite comfortable in his new outfit.

"Come on. We must go find Riku." I say walking beside him. I hold the sword and swing it lightly.

"Okay...whatever you say, since I hold no more grudges..." He puts his sword away and follows after her.

My tail swayed as we walked slowly. "What did it feel like?" I ask him quietly. "I mean transforming?" I look at the ground holding the weapon.

"When I was fighting Blade, or afterwards?" he asked, one of his wings scaly and black, and the other covered in feathers and fur.

i sit there waiting.

I look at him. "Afterwords. You seemed to be in so much pain. I was scared for you..." I admitted continuing to walk forward.

Cyrus looked at the ground for a moment. "Well, it felt like my whole body was on fire, and freezing at the same time, its not a very pleasant feeling."

"I'm sure it wasn't." I said calmly as we approached a cemetery. "I think Riku is in here. Wait here for me?" I ask looking up at him. I walk into the cemetery and quickly find Riku. "Here you are.. Are you alright?"

"i'm right here and i-i-i f-fine."

I looked at him concerned. "I know you miss her..." I said looking down. I touched his shoulder and turned away. "I'll see you at the palace. Alright?" I said before walking away.

I nodded and turned from him. I slowly walked back to Cyrus. "So... what are you going to do now, now that your half of what you most despise..?" I asked looking up at him.

"I can't go back to the order, since i'm now a vampire...can I stay with you...since you're the person I just risked my life to protect?" he asked with a nervous smile.

I looked at him, my eyes glowing in shock. "Really? I thought you were disgusted with me and my kind..." I looked away from him. "I don't see why not. My father will be expecting a story... I'll work my magic..." I looked back at him and smiled slightly.

"Well, that was before I met a vampire whos being hunted by other vampires, so I just don't care anymore...." he accented this with a shrug of his shoulders.

I nodded, "Ah... I see..." I looked at him before I smiled gently. "So... who are you.. exactly. Your past I mean?"

"I was going to be a farmer boy, until Blade showed up and killed my family, then I basically found the Paladin sect and trained my furry tail off" he said with an unusual cackle.

"Do you think you're better off now then a farmer boy?" I asked looking into his eyes. There's something about him... that I'm so attracted to... I thought as I looked at him.

I looked away from Cyrus and fell silent. I lowered my lids, preventing too much light to light the way as it fell dark. The cold, crisp air filled my lungs as I breathed in and sent a puff of steam into the air. Snow began to fall. The ground became peppered with a light sheet of snow. my tail swayed back and forth. "I'm going to go for a little walk. You may join if you'd like. Or you may go back to the palace. A room is ready for you, its just down the hall from my own." I looked at him and smiled before walking off slowly.

Cyrus was already right next to her, looking at her face with a smile. "I'd like to join you, rather hard coming to a castle and expected a room, with only a pair of pants and no shirt on..."

I smiled warmly. "Alright," I continued forward, every foot step making a crunching sound in the snow. I shut my eyes and breathed in deeply, my nose picking up so many different, sweet scents. "That's odd... " I said opening my eyes quickly. "The Forest never has this many scents..."

Cyrus draws his blade and walks in front of her. "I guess I'll be on patrol again" he said, flapping his wings periodically.

I continued to sniff the air. I looked ahead and darted left when he wasn't looking. "Who's there?" I called, out of hearing distance of Cyrus. My large ears lay back, reaching the middle of my back. A hushed voice whispered in the distance. I approached cautiously looking about. A male wolf, stood tall. His white fur blending in with the snow, the blue glowing against the white snow in the darkened forest. "Oh... I didn't mean to intrude..." I cooed. His gaze fell upon me as he scaled up and down. "What brings a beautiful girl like yourself out here?" He asked, a dark tone in his voice. "What's it to you?" I asked defensively. The blue in my eyes glowing brighter. He approached me quickly but elegantly. He pressed his body against mine, his breathe sweet. "Are you lost?" He asked. I shook my head rapidly. His paw gently touched my cheek, as he let out a low chuckle. "Do you know who I am?" I growled, fear striking into my eyes.

Vrawth stalked through the forest, along an old pathway... his footsteps made no sound as his breath rattled out, wheezing..... he melded with the shadows, no more than a whisper as he marched....

*Vrawth walked past the graves of long dead soldiers.... at his mere presence the corpses clawed theyre way back up from the ground to stand to attention.... old armour creaking and bone clacking, the legion of ragged bones stood in place, ready to serve again*

It took Cyrus a good five minutes before realizing that she was no longer with him. "Miss...where are you?!" he yelled, then caught her scent, mixing along with another. Not sure if it was the valid scent, he could only walk towards the scource...

"Of course I do... You Rowan, princess of King Jasper. Everyone knows who you are," he smirked. "Then who are you?" I asked looking at him, still frightened. He pressed his body against mine as he looked down at me and smiled. "I'm Jagger..." He grabbed my arms and held me tight. He suddenly picked me up and pinned me on the ground. "You really are beautiful when your frightened." He chuckled. My body began to tremble. "What do you want with me?" I pleaded. "I simply want you," He replied calmly. "I'll give you anything... just don't kill me." I choked. He grinned wider and kissed my neck. "I feel another's presence." He picked me up and began to walk deeper into the forest. "Let me go!" I shouted squirming. He quickly covered my mouth. " I promise I wont kill you," He scoffed.

Cyrus continued to follow the scent until he heard a faint 'let me go!' in the forest. Miss! he somehow yelled in his head, instead of yelling it so that she could actually hear him as he went into a full sprint, beating his wings for an occasional boost.

I continued to squirm in his arms. Jagger quickly tossed her on the ground and pinned her down. "Listen, I want you... and only you, and I'm going to get it." He growled. "What exactly is it?" I asked trying to get loose. He leaned down and whispered in my ear. "NO!!" I shrieked, tears streaming down my face. His lips met mine, hushing my cry. He began to caress my body. I aggressively tried to fight him off. "Stop it!" I shouted again.

Cyrus started to notice the smell becoming stronger. He drew his broadsword in preparation to kill. He only knew this girl for a few hours, but he knew that if anyone was going to mess with her, they will die. Of course, thats what he saw....

Jagger stood and growled before disappearing and not returning. I lay on the ground covering my chest with my tail and crying. My sobs grew loud as I hesitated on breathing. I fixed my outfit and continued to cry. "Cyrus! I need you..." I looked up at him, my eyes stopped glowing and were a crystal blue green.

Cyrus ran over and picked her up, wanting only one thing from her...well maybe two. "First, who did this to you, and second, whats your name?" he asked, not realizing he was hugging her at the same time.

"His name was Jagger... I don't know who he was... I'm Rowan... Oh Cyrus, I'm frightened." I whimpered holding him tightly. Unaware of her affection towards him.

Cyrus broke away mentally when he heard her name. "Wait...you don't mean Rowan, as in, Princess Rowan...do you?"

I continued to whimper, "Sadly, yes..." I looked up at him, fearing that he would have an odd reaction.

Cyrus looked her right in the eyes, then a smirk crossed his face. "Princess, when you leave your escort, how is he or she supposed to keep you safe?" he joked, temporarily lifting her off her feet in a hug.

the sound of bone raking on bare earth filled the forest as the legion of dead warriors marched behind the spectral figure of the whight....

She smiled as he lifted her. "I suppose your right..." Tears still falling down her face. "Father is not going to let me out of the house after this...." She looked at the ground saddened. "Jagger, he wouldn't stop.. no matter how much I squirmed and fought..." She said saddened.

Cyrus looked away so she couldn't see his anger-filled eyes. "Then i'll kill him when he appears again, after all, I am your 'escort', as far as your father is concerned" He replied with a smile

Rowan took a deep breath and whispered tongues. Suddenly she and Cyrus were at a large cabin. "I traced his aura back here... This should be where he lays." She said letting go of Cyrus. She kissed his forehead in thanks. She pulled the mask over her muzzle and picked the lock on the door. A loud click and the door creaked open. "And we're in." She walked in and turned to see Cyrus' shocked face. "I'm not your average princess... ok?" She pressed her back to the wall and moved deeper into the home.

Cyrus didn't bother to reply as he walked in, broadsword in hand. She might be worried about whoever this 'Jagger' is...but If he was anything like Blade, Cyrus would easily be able to deal with him. Just tell me when to attack, or would you rather me going on a rampage in someone's house? he looked at her with a smirk

Relax for now... His scent is strong... but it seems to be empty. She replied looking back at him. She moved into the living room. "He isn't here... it's dead quite and his aura is as strong." She said aloud.

Rowan ran up stairs and looked around. Jagger appeared and smirked. "Shhh... quiet... or I kill you.." He threatened. Rowan stood still, anger flooding her face. Her eyes began to glow again.

Cyrus... He's here... she thought. Her voice oddly calm.

I don't like the calmness in that voice...but i'm on my way... Cyrus went up the stairs, brandishing his broadsword. "So you were the one who violated the Princess...not even wearing any clothes...." Cyrus' eyes flicker with polar energies, their unconsious clashing further increasing the destructiveness of his spells.

Jagger smirked and threw me to the ground. He let out a cold laugh and threw his dagger, catching part of Cyrus' shoulder. "You can't do anything right... Can you dragon?" He said, dauntingly.

"First of all, I'm not a dragon, but i'm not some mutt aiming too high..." Cyrus replied, yanking the dagger out and letting the wound close up as he licked the blood off. Then he threw the dagger back at him, followed by spheres of light energy.

Jagger was struck by the dagger as he became pinned to the wall behind him. "Wow, nice aim..." He was suddenly clustered by spheres of light. He coughed out blood and looked back up at Cyrus. "Is that all you got?" He pulled the dagger out and licked the blood off with a serpent's tongue. He threw the dagger at the ground, striking my leg. I let out a loud yelp and pulled it out. He pulled out his hand gun and shot at Cyrus. His bullets barely doing any damage.

Cyrus started to laugh maniacally. "Looks like you're worse at not hurting her than I am..." he said, then holding his hand out at Jagger, two snaking dragons of light and darkness sprial out and slam into him.

Jagger was now pinned against the wall again. Rowan stood and stopped her bleeding. She pulled out a custom hand gun ( http://www.imfdb.org/images/1/13/Wanted_21.JPG ). She quickly held the gun to Jagger's head. "Dosvedanya" She said as she pulled the trigger. Blood splattered the wall. She licked her lips and looked at Cyrus.

"Maybe I should drain his blood just in case the headshot didn't do anything...and this too" Chrono bit into Jagger's neck, drinking the blood, and also stabbed him through the heart with his now light enchanted broadsword.

Rowan looked at him and smiled. "Thirsty?" She asked. She walked over to his bed and cleaned off her gun. It began to shine its natural silver luster. "That's better. This baby never lets me down." She kissed the handle and took out her clip. She walked over to Cyrus and held out one of the custom bullets. ( http://www.maxafter.com/images/bullet_image2.jpg ) She smiled, "It never fails." She looked out the window and saw another figure. "Who the hell..."

Cyrus immedeatly got in front of Rowan and raised his sword defensively.

She loaded the clip back into her gun and readied her gun. She quickly went downstairs and out the front door. Her gun pointed. The peasant threw himself on the ground. "Don Shoot!" He pleaded. Rowan pulled her gun off of him and helped him up. "I'm so sorry." He looked at him and smiled. He was an older gentleman. "I simply work for my master, Jagger." He looked at her with wary eyes. "He no longer lives." She said, her ears laying back. He looked at her as a smile spread across his wrinkled face. "Oh, thank you lord." He god down on his knees and prayed. Rowan smiled and pat his back. "This home is yours." Cyrus... Do you think you could get rid of the blood and body? She thought looking up in the window.

You ask too little of me Princess... he grabbed the body and tossed it outside, shooting a beam of pure energy, making Jagger's body disintigrate on impact. He then licked up the blood and jumped out the window, putting his sword away and sitting next to Rowan.

The old man hobbled inside and turned on the lights. "Thank you so much. You truly are a great Princess." His throat managed to squeak. "Come on... let's go home Cyrus." She looked at him and smiled. A happy gleam struck her eye as she rested her hand on his shoulder. Her tail brushed him lightly as she walked in front of him.

He stiffled a laugh as he grabbed her tail. "Watch where you wag that thing, can't break out laughing in the middle of nowhere, princess..." he said while getting up and stretching. "Would you believe I have no idea how I did that dragon-head thing?"

She smiled and pulled her tail away from him. "I like laughter... It pleases me." She turned and faced him. She stood very close and smiled.

He put on a face of mock seriousness. "Whats so funny, Miss Rowan?"

She pressed closer to his body and got really close to his face. She smiled and blew a minty sweet kiss into his face. She smiled and walked away from him.

Cyrus looked at the princess half-disbelief, and half shock. "I'll just pretend that didn't happen" he said to himself as he followed after her, his tail wagging.

She began to hum softly as snow continued to fall. "Why do you keep calling me princess? I have a name you know..." Her voice was calm and smooth.

Cyrus smiles deviantly while he quickly gets next to her, keeping pace at the same time. "Because, princess, unless I am your fiancee' or husband, I am considered beneath you, and must refer to you as Princess Rowan, rather than just Rowan"

She stopped and smiled. "but we're alone... no one will know but myself and you." She walked up behind him and rubbed his shoulders.

He immedeatly turned around and looked down at her. "I find it rather amusing how you would rather want me to call you by your informal name rather than show you respect..." He only smiled and bent down, almost two inches from kissing her.

She looked up at him. "I know you respect me.. I can read your aura.. remember? Plus... I think its makes us closer..." She smirked her small fangs flashing bright white. Her eyes shining in the moon light.

Rowan falls silent for a moment. She moves closer to him, her hands playing across his chest. "You know what I mean..." She says, biting her lower lip.

She flashes a smile and backs away into a thin fog. "But what if he didn't know? As if it didn't exist at all." Her voice echoed, softly. Her tone smooth. Her minty sweet breath fell on the back of his neck. "As if... It never happened." She let out a soft, short chuckle.

Runs into the forest with a bag of gold and smiles."heh too easy, but I wonder who to give this too, I am new here and I havn't really encountered many villages".All of a sudden I catch the scent of figures approaching and I hide in the shadows peering out just in time to catch the glimpse of a lady and male. From the looks of it that lady looks to be awfully rich, but as I look at the man I see he is very big and strong, most likely the bodyguard. I look at my gold and back at them and sigh..."ehh you can never have too much gold, and it will help the poor". I follow them.

Cyrus immedeatly got between them both and pushed Rowan away from the newcomer. "I believe he gave up robbery when he noticed that you already noticed him, and I doubt he can get away fast enough..." Cyrus' right eye immedeatly started turning black when looking right at the newcomer.

"Moonshire huh? Well I recommend going back... You wont live out here. And I'm Princess Rowan, and your blood smell sweet... it would be a shame to spill it on the pure snow." She said coldly. She put the blade away and stood in front of him.

hears the words of going back to moonshire and feels dejected."As much as I wish to go back I can't, back in moonshire guards have been ordered to kill me and..*groans* kill my family. I would rather spill my own blood here than my families back there.

Rowan's eyes flickered to Cyrus'. She slowly relaxed. She tossed a few gold pieces at the new comer and walked past Cyrus. Find me when he's gone.

looks back to the male and decides to leave. However the words of the lady burn in my mind. I pray to god inside my head, I guess my job of helping the poor make it by will not last long. I just hope when I die someone will help run the good fight against tryanny.

Rowan watches the thief leave as she walks back to Cyrus. She looked at him apologetically, then she smiled. "So as I was saying."

after a long time of walking I finally find civilization in the form of a city with a great big castle. I decide to go and scout the area and look for weaknesses in patrols and security.

"I'll handle that." She smirked walking a step ahead of him. She looked back and smiled, her brown hair blowing in the cold winter breeze.

He unconsiously licked his lips, still tasting mint. I wonder how her breath stays minty, even though I havn't seen her take any mints the entire time I've been with her... "Thats a bit invasive of you...reading other people's thoughts, exactly how long have you been reading my thoughts?" Cyrus closes the gap and bear hugs, lifting her up a foot in the air, and swings her around.

waling through the bustling city I look around viewing houses and security. From the looks of it there are guards on the all sides of the city with two guarding the main doors to the castle keep. I look up and study the patrol patterns on the wall and see there is a gap creating every hour or so on the west wall that would allow me access into the keep. I plan to wait until everyone is sleeping then I will infiltrate from the west wall.

Rowan pulled Cyrus along. "This is going to take forever," She held him and vanished. They both appeared in the city. She started walking again. The castle was larger than life and overlooked the whole city. "Come on... We need to get you inside, It may take a bit." She said slowly walking.

Cyrus wasn't impressed, the castle isn't as grand as most of the mountains he's seen in the distance. "Okay...lets go...I guess" he looks around, while holding her hand so he doesn't get too far from her.

after the city had died down a bit I began my run into the castle. waiting outside the walla I watched as the man patrolling the west wall to leave a huge gap. Using my grappling hook I climb the wall and quickly lockpick the door and close it silently behind me. As I stepped inside I see a long corridor with what sounds like a couple guards talking in the hall adjacent to it. Thinking quickly I hide behind a barrel and hear the guards go down the opposite end of the corridor. When they have left I creep down the corridor and take the hallway adjacent to it and find another door that needs to be picked.Just as I begin picking I hear the 2 guards returning and I begin to sweat. Just before they get into eye sight I pick the lock and find myself in a very large room. This must be the entrance hall. It is so big and beutiful. However I can hear guards on the top of the main stairwell talking and so I hide under the stairs and wait for them to leave.

Rowan lead him to the large door. "The guards are asleep, so lets go." She opened them and walked inside. The gates closed on their own as they approached the grand doors. The elegant gold work glistening. She walks in and is greeted by many. "Where is my father?" She asked. He slowly walked to her. He glanced at Cyrus and frowned. "Who is this?" He asked. Rowan smiled. "This man saved my life. A knight attacked me and he helped me. He's like us." She said looking at him, seriousness in her voice.

No she thought. She looked at her father. "He may stay. His room will be ready shortly." He waves for three servants to go make up a room for him. "Welcome to our palace." He greeted with a warm smile. "Thank you father." She said and lead him down a large hall. Suddenly she stopped and sniffed the air. "Not him again... In the palace?" She muttered. She pulled Cyrus to her room and shut the door.

I hear more people enter and I automatically recongize the voice. Its the lady. ahh goddammit not her again, I have to abort. With that I creep back to the door and head through. Worrying if I drew attention I keep going and prepare to go back the way I came but the guard has returned to his post on the other side of the door. This just isn't my night.I decide to make a detour and go to the other side of the corridor and try my luck there.

Rowan sniffed the air again. "Good... he's leaving." She said. She looked at Cyrus. "So.. care for a tour?" She smiled.

"I believe I've just seen more than I want to..." He looked around the room and then looked at Rowan with a grin. "but might as well see the rest of the castle."

goes through the other doors and is brought to another hallway. Keeping my senses about me I sneak through avoiding the guards. As the open the next door yet another hallway,"how big is this place"?I mutter. I sit down to think and feel my only chance of getting out of here is back the way I came. But that was about 45 minutes ago so I will have to wait 15 more minutes. feeling bad that I might come out of here with nothing I am determined to find at least something of value. I look on the wall and find a finely crafted golden candlestick with a big jewel set in the bottom,This will do. I grab the candlestick and walk back to the first door I entered and wait for the guard to leave.

She smiled. "My room is the grandest of the rooms, but there are a lot more fun rooms." She opened her door and walked out to the hall. She led him to a room with think black doors. "This room is my favorite." She opened it and loud bass blared. Lights were flashing and moving around. "This.. is my party room." Tons of people were dancing about. A skinny, tall blond walked up to Rowan and hugged her. "Where have you been? The party started a while ago..." She smiled and looked at Cyrus. "Who's that? He's sexy!" she asked, whispering into Rowan's ear. Rowan laughed. "That's Cyrus... I'll tell you the story later." Rowan hugged her good bye and shut the doors. "Sorry about that..." She looked in a different direction and moved to a different room. "This is the bar... Also connected to the party room." She walked inside and sat at the bar.

He lowered his ears and sat next to her, as far away from the music as he can get while still being close to Rowan. "This music...its just so wierd...its also hurting my ears" He covered his ears, trying to block out the noise.

stops back in the forest and pull out the candle stick and throws it up and catches it."well at least I found something of value all I have to do is find a fence to sell it too, which shouldn't be too hard to find I just need to bribe a beggar, they usually know alot about underground activities". Takes a closer look at the intricately made candlestick and notces that it is actually very nice and should fetch a good price. As I turn it around I find an R carved on the back."hmmm must be someones initials or something, oh well". Puts the candlestick in my bag and walks in search of a village to ask about a fence.

"You can't actually hear it in hear. You're ears are just ringing a bit. That room is sound proof. Nothing gets out." She smiled. The bartender walked over. "And what could I be getting you tonight sir? The usual your highness?" He smiled. "Of course." He placed a mint leaf in the bottom of a glass and crushed it then poured vodka into it, with a dash of sweet red juice. He patiently waited for Cyrus to answer.

He filled a large pint glass and set it in front of him. "The best in the city." He smiled and walked away. Rowan took a sip of the concoction. "Smell this..." She held it to him. The scent imitated her sweet breath.

"Yes, but i'd rather not drink alchohol sprinkled with mint..." He drinks the pint down.

She smiles. "I can't even smell it anymore... I've grown so used to it." She let out a cool sigh. She finished her drink and hopped off the bar stool. "Lets see your room..." She said walking over to the door.

After some time I finally come upon a village and decide to visit and see if there are poor people in need of money or if anyone knows of a fence. Nearby I see a tavern called the pig and whistle tavern. I enter and take a seat at the bar when a precarious bartender walks up to me. "What can I getcha"? I look back and say,"nothing thx, I dont drink it dulls the senses". the bartender looks at me weirdly and nods," whatever", then goes back to other customers.

"Alright..." he gets off the barstool and follows Rowan towards the door.

She walks through the doors and down the hall. "You room is 3 down from mine. Ah here it is..." She opened the doors, revealing a dimly lit room, the walls a dark color and the bed large. Everything suited to Cyrus' stature and needs. "What do you think?" She asked. She walked over to the large window doors and opened them. She stepped out onto a large balcony. "Not bad.. Not bad..."

He stepped into the room, and couldn't find a light switch. "Either this is a cruel joke, or they assume I've been in the darkness most of my life" He stepped out onto the balcony and was insantly silenced when he saw the view. "Wow...can't get this view back home"

Rowan smiled and went back into the room. "Here it is." She slid the switch up as the light grew brighter. "Is that better?" She asked walking back onto the balcony.

"The only way it could be better was if you were in it..." He replied, still looking out into the scenery.

Rowan looked at him and laughed. "I come and go.. Don't worry." She gently blow a kiss in his face and walked out. She got into her room and went onto her bed. "Ahh... comfort," She sighed. She shut her eyes and hugged her pillow. She smiled and fell asleep. Rowan rolled back and forth. "I need to feed..." She opened her door quietly and went to the bar. "Raul... I need some... please.. It's gotten worse." Her voice shook. He smiled. "You don't drink as much... May I ask why?" Rowan looked at him. "It's because I'm not like all the rest of you... My skin is warm and soft. Not cold and hard." She smiled and drank down the shot of blood. A small drop dripped from the corner of her mouth as she licked her lips. "Thank you... That was really helpful." She stood and left a tip on the counter. Her eyes were calm once again as she walked back to her room.

Cyrus got into bed, and went through a period of self-reflection. His body still felt warm, he already fed on another vampire, which should hold him off for awhile. Maybe, just maybe being a vampire would be better than having just a normal life. His combat style is great for his new hunger, his increased strength really improves his strokes and swings. Not to mention the new addition of dark magic could make him more versatile in terms of adaptation.

Rowan entered her room and went to the balcony. She leaned on the railing and became lost in deep thought. Snow fell gently on her face. Her eyes glowing brightly.

500 gold coins I look at the fence startled."500 gold coins!! You see this, this candlestick is one of a kind, easily worth 1000 gold coins"! The fence smirks and coldly replies, "be as that may its just a simple candlestick, what value is there to a candlestick"? trying to work my charisma in I take a gamble. "Well, you see this candlestick belongs to royalty, I stole it from the great castle, and its even got the initials of one in royalty on the back". looking at me in disbelief he sees the R and a shock consumes him."You mean to tell me you stole the candlestick of Princess Rowan!?!?!"
I nod and then the fence hands me back the candlestick with a fearful look in his eyes. "Are you insane, no way am I in hell going to buy this from you". I blink and bark at him. "what do you mean you wont buy it, it should be worth plenty especially if it belongs to a princess, and besides she will never know". The fence shakes his head."not this one, she is smart and great at tracking, once she figures out its gone she will track us down and kill me if I buy it". getting mad I ask."than is there anyone else that will take it??". The fence stares at me."well!" the fence breaks from his trance and says,"yes, but he is extremely hard to find, he lives in the village 30 miles from here. Its a long trip,and even if you make it the hard part will be finding him". I snarl and take my leave when the fence calls back to me."before you go you must ask yourself, is risking your life for a golden candlestick worth it"? Staring the fence I nod." Of course it is, as long as I can feed the hungry and help the poor it is always worth it". With that I walk out the hut and head off on a big journey to find this new fence.

Eser smiles and laughs with the people in pub as he plays a cheerful 6/8 tune on his Mandolin. Everyone is enjoying the music, and if they're not already drunk dead on the floor, they're dancing cheerfully. However, it is starting to get late, so Eser finishes his song, and with the applause from the people, leaves the pub and heads towards the castle.

After 10 miles of walking I feel tired out of my mind and decide to take a rest. As I rest against a tree I think about how I will be able to find this fence that will take the candlestick off my hands. Just then trouble sparks as 2 figures cross the road in front of me and walk up to a woman walking down the street. Once they reach her a thrash of words spill out and on of the men slaps her across the face while the other one grabs her purse. As I see this injustice occur I leap into action to stop these criminals. as fast as sound I sneak behind the one with the purse and bury one of my daggers deep into his throat. The other one turns to me and begins to draw his sword but before he does I throw my dagger at him which buries itself deep into his forehead. His hands clench and then he falls. As I return the lady crying I comfort her and give her the purse back. Along with that I add 10 coins inside. As she looks back at me with glossy eyes she says," I can't thank you enough". I nod and reply."no worries, its what I do". As I turn around to leave she throws a question at me."What is your name", She murmurs with a still but caring voice. I look back into her eyes and say,"Robin...Robin of moonshire". With that I run back into the darkness and continue walking to the village where I will find that fence.

Eser enters the castle, then feels his blood getting low. 'I'm gonna go into torpor at this rate,' he thinks walking past groups of people. 'And everyone has to always travel in groups!' As he walks he sees a woman standing on the corner of the street, all alone. He sneaks in to an alley on the opposite side of the road and starts playing a quiet mysterious song on a small recorder, and waits for her to fall prey to the trap. After a moment the lady walks into the alley and sees Eser. She approaches him with caution.
"Who are you?" she asks walking closer. Eser changes his song to sweet lullaby, and watches her slowly grow more and more tired. "That's beautiful music, but I wish to know who you-" she started saying before falling asleep. Eser removed the flute from his lips, and shook himself awake. Putting it away, he leans over the woman and bites her neck and drinks her blood, not enough to kill her, but enough to be full for awhile. Then he leaves and heads for the castle.

Rowan sat on her bed and sighed. Insomnia had won this night. She lay back and looked at the sky, through her glass ceiling. She rolled over and looked out the balcony door. I want to be free from this... prison she thought to herself, getting up and walking out on to the terrace.

after many hours I finally reach the village and decide to look around for this fence that will buy the candlestick. I speak to some of the beggars and come up dry until I finally come up with a lead. apparently one person knows of a stranger that passes through ever sunday at around midnight thatsells exlusive 'items'. I ask what day it is and hear it is a friday which means I will have to wait 2 days for this fence. I just hope I can stear clear of trouble before then.

Eser entered the castle through the front gates as he always does, and walks down the stairs to his practice room. He counted the steps as they wound down, 26 total. Cyrus was still in his room, sleeping contentedly until he suddenly felt a massive chill fall over him. It felt like his insides were going to freeze over if he didn't start moving now. He immdeatly got up, and without thinking it through, ran and jumped off the balcony, hitting the ground with a very resonant 'thump' as the shock started to warm him up. Must...keep moving he thought as he darted around the city, trying to keep his body warm.

Rowan looked out the balcony and saw Cyrus. "Where do you think you're going..." She said to herself. She ran and changed into a black long sleeve shirt and her tight black shorts. She pulled on her belt and gun holster on to her thigh. Pulling on her long black coat, She jumped down, landed quietly. Rowan darted after him, following him at a distance.

There was a break in my concentration. More of an ease than a break.
A slow harmony had nuzzled my ears, perking them up to take more of it in. My eyes remained closed, wound tight by it's slowly gleaming melody. This melody had entered in and out, and during such a passage, I'd wish for it to start up again - which it did.
Then I had opened my eyes wide - still in the resting quarters of the castle. My schedule with the king had obviously been foiled with the turmoil within the kingdom. But that was fine, I had to find where this sweet noise was protruding from. I uneasily got up from my chair, feeling numb in places in my attempt of curling up on the wooden seat, and made my way back into the central lobby. It was coming from downstairs, judging by the echo latest hitting the decorative layout of the high ceiling above. So down I went, remembering where I was going... The fine arts hall. Duh.
Then there he was - a bright fox sitting at the piano, entrancing the keys at his fingertips to serenade the ears of all who listened. I leaned against the doorway, as to not obstruct his performance. I tried my best as to not fall asleep - or cry for that matter - but in the end kept awake, and tearless, watching him perform.

Rowan crept behind Cyrus silently. "Where are you going?" She whispered to herself, hoping to not be heard. A passerby watched in shock as the princess passed, her silver headdress uncovered. She quickly pulled up her hood and face mask as she proceeded after the wolf-dragon.

Cyrus, still running to keep warm, tripped over the spear of a negligent guard and rolling a few feet before stopping on his belly. He then felt the cold sink back in, but not as bad as before. Then it started getting warmer and warmer before he heard someone heading towards him. He turned over and saw Rowan, which made him overjoyed to say the least...

Eser was still lost in the music and did not hear the person enter his music room. Slowly, the music hit a diminuendo and faded away. Eser looked up and jumped in surprise as he saw a person standing in front of him. "Who are you?" Eser asked standing up and backing away from the man.

"Ah-- I didn't mean to disturb you..." He seemed contained, backing away from me. "That was a really good peice you were playing. I heard it upstairs and thought I'd see who was playing it." I slowly approached him, as to not seem threatening. "I'm Scautty. What's your name?"

"I'm Eser," he said slowly continuing to back up. "And thank you, it's a very meaningful piece to me." Eser stops backing up, once he is a safe 5 feet away. He never likes people getting to close to him, anyone could be crazy.

At least he seemed a little less threatened. I didn't want to seem awkward, already having to break him in by approach. "So, uh... did you just come here to practice? I fiddle around sometimes, but I probably can't play like you can..."

"This is the only place I can practice. I live here," Eser said realizing this guy was not a stranger to the castle. "What instrument do you play?" Eser then asked picking up a flute from behind him for protection.

"Instrument? Oh--!"
Oh my. He lived here? That means he works for the Royal Family... I want to play this off cooly. "Well, I play violin... and play drums as a hobby... You play flute?" I pointed at the woodwind he had just picked up.

"Actually," Eser says, looking around at the guitar, the piccolo, the flute, the violin, the stand-up bass, the cello, the piano, the drums, the clarinet, the trumpet, the trombone, and the bassoon, he says, "I can play everything in this room."

"Wha-- Woah..." The many sorted instruments propped up individually along the walls of the room, linging to where almost no wall peeked out... He could play ANY of these? "That's... impressive!" It was really exciting, but I kept myself content... I wasn't sure if he completely trusted me or not. "Wow..." I slowly looked around the room, drinking in any and all instruments, imagining the time and practice it must have taken to learn these.

"Well when I have nothing better to do, I just come down here, and practice. Plus I know everyone in the royal band, so I've been tutored on every instrument enough to be able to learn the rest myself," Eser explained, trying to make himself seem a little more modest.

"Oh wow... really neat! Hey, you wanna go and hang out sometime? We can talk more on music and everything. Man, the good old days..." This reminesce was sweet, I hadn't played in a long time, but when I did, it was something magical to me.

I didn't like talking much about the blood-sucking fiends. It was like speaking of death to a close friend. I looked down to the decorative carpet, scratching my head.

"Oh-- how long have you been here?" He must've just gotten here. I felt bad, probably having to be the one to tell him about the war...

"I've been here my whole life," Eser said eying Scautty. "What is it you were looking for?" Eser had never cared much for the going ons outside of the castle. He never really listened to gossip of the city, or cared much for anyone other then those who lived in the castle. But what were they searching for.

"Oh..." How couldn't he know? He's kept himself from the outside world...? "Well, they're these... vamps, of a sort..." I tried my best to tell him straightforward, masking the fear in my voice. "I was stationed here to help in finding a way to rid of these beasts. In the mean time, the king has been sending troops in holding the vampires off and away from the castle." I heaved a slow sigh at the end of my explanation.

"Oh really?" Eser said pretending to be surprised. "Well what kind of thing do you plan on doing to get rid of these demonic creatures?" Eser was glad the man had not noticed his vampirism yet. If he knew that he was a vamp, he might try to kill him.

"Well I'm here to do some research on them. I plan on finding their weak points and take full out advantage of it! So, uh... Eser... What do you know about these vampires?" He seemed suprised at the sound of them, but maybe he knew a bit about them.

Eser smiled mentally, 'Ha, I can give this guy all the wrong information. Lie to him.' Eser looked at Scautty, "Well the gaurds say, they hate holy water, they have to bite your neck, and they sleep in coffins."

"Yes, that's what we know for right now. Is there anything else you know?" The interest seemed to seep from our minds, as it seemed to me. He gleamed back as he lent me his knowledge.

"That's all I know, sorry," Eser said shrugging try to hide his emotions, but he was shouting 'Hurray' on the inside. "However, I need to get to bed, I never know when one of the Royal people may need me. So Goodnight Scautty," Eser said walking towards the back of the room.

"Oh, I understand. I'll see you later then!" I left my card on the longchair nearing the piano, with my number and address of facility on it. Hopefully he'll get back to me, he was an interesting looking fellow. I left the room for his liking, and as I scaled the stairs to head back into the main lobby, I was thinking... He seemed really clueless of what's going on... Is this something the king's doing? Hmm... Conclusions I didn't want to make. But the ties caught up to them, so I couldn't really ignore them. The only thing I really wanted to think about was grabbing a bite to eat before heading back to the apartment - Starved I was.

Eser picked up the card off the piano bench before going to bed in the back room of the practice room. As he laid there awake he thought about the fact that the king was trying to kill him indirectly, and had never told him. Luckily, Eser had never told anyone he was a vampire, and had managed to make it this far without going into torpor or something. 'Hopefully they won't notice the vampire right under their nose, I mean, it's not like I've ever injured anyone."

It was finally morning again, noted by the sung leaming in from the east window, basking my face. My eyes slowly opened, revealing the room I had rented out. I didn't think I would be here long, so I kept it simple: A bedside table with my belongings, a suitcase in the corner of my room to hold my clothing, and a TV across from that. It was actually really confusing how this would end up. I expected a meeting about it, tossing proposals back and forth, but it seemed to me it would be alot deeper, maybe getting into the field of study and even... test things out.
I threw on casual clothers - It was my day off, I planned on today being the day I roam the Kingdom in search for the nearest bar. I had made my way outside of the cheaply placed inn and made my way up the road, the marketplace area. In the meantime, I was breathing in the fresh air the kingdom seeped all over the town. It was such a fresh air, cleansed of nothing but the creation from mother earth. It was alot different from home, where the horizon broke sooner from such smog. But here, you could see far beyond... even the sun.
The vampires always attacked at night, of course showing they're weakness to the sun, and it's known to have been tested to lure them in the day - But they're not stupid. They're actually the opposite. I just had to find a way to make strain on this and get the vampitres to come out...
...Speaking of, I wonder where Eser is. He's usually cooped up in the kingdom as he says. I should probably go see him... After I get a drink.

Rowan looked at Cyrus. She let a smile slip as she lowered her hood. Another villager stopped and bowed. "Oh, get up you fool.." She said looking at him. She looked back at Cyrus. "May I ask where my body guard is running off to?" She asked, her tone mocking anger.

two days had finally passed and it was time to find the fence that I hoped would accept the golden candlestick I had stolen from the castle that belonged to princess Rowan. Remembering the beggar that had told me that the fence usually comes around about two aclock I decided to wait in the shadows around two aclock in the morning and hope to find him. Sure enough my waiting payed off and a man dressed in a black hooded robe came strolling by. He was very subtle and melded with the night. I approached him with caution and walked out in front of him to avoid any suspiscion of a sneak attack. Alarmed the man was going to make a run for it but he stopped as soon as I called out that I wanted to sell something. Angry he walked back and tossed me into the alley. "You want to get us both killed wolf!!" He angrily muttered at me."Don't ever yell out at me like that you hear, it may be the last thing you do". Stunned I decided to apologize and tell him what I had to sell."I am extremely sorry but is that anyway to speak to people with items of great value". As soon as he heard that his hears perked up and he gave me his full attention."I am listening". He said. "Well in my possession I bear an intricately designed golden candlestick that belonged to princess Rowan". Stammered he spoke in a serious tone."you got guts boy, If she was to ever find out you stole that she would surely kill you". Confident I replied."enough of the small talk will you buy it or not". Looking at me seriously he replied,"let me look at it". I pulled it out and he quickly inspected it and gave me a price,"yes I will take it, for 750 gold". It wasn't the 1000 gold I wanted but it would do."alright its a deal". he produced a purse that contained 750 gold and threw it to me."I hope this is worth it kid, if she ever finds out you stole it..." He shudders at the thought then without another word vanishes into the cold night air. Happy with my self I decide to leave the town as soon as possible and find some poor people to share the wealth with.

"The warmth.. or the cold?" She joked. She hugged him back. She cleared her throat and pushed him away. She brushed off her coat and looked at him. We have to be careful in the village. She smiled and walked next to him. "Care to get a drink with me?" She asked looking at a nearby tavern.

"Sure, just nothing too alchoholic, still have to be your body-guard" He smiled and flapped his wings before folding them behind his back.

is walking and comes upon a village and decides to check it out for people in need to money. As I walk in I find a tavern on the side and decide to start there. I walk into the bar and see the lady and her bodyguard. "Ahh christ why do I keep bumping into them" I think in my head. Alas I shake it off and order a drink and sit down at one of the tables.

Rowan walked to the tavern and walked inside. Her hood dropped down showing her silver headdress. The bartender smiled warmly and immediately served her and Orin. She turned to Orin and smiled. "So are you still getting used to not having such a warm body?" She asked taking a sip of her lager.

"Its not really cold, its only if I'm not moving, or apparently near you is when the cold sets in, otherwise I feel fine." He took a drink of his ale and set it back down before looking at her headdress "You know, that could draw problems..."

*finishes bear and decides to get out of the bar before the lady and bodyguard see me but in my clumsiness I trip on a stool and fall to the ground and even worse I say ouch out loud to the point that they could of heard me*

She touches the head dress lightly. "How so?" She smiled finishing off her beer. Her eyes glowing a bright blue, she shut her eyes. "Damn it..." She muttered softly. "We need to go... It's not safe here." She got up and swiftly made it to the door. Her eyes shown brightly against the white cobblestone streets. She ran to a dark ally and found a strong looking man. She made her way down the ally, her hood up. "Sir... I think I'm lost." She said in a helpless tone. She looked at him pathetically. The man stepped closer to her. "You're pretty. Where are you headed?" He asked looking into her eyes. She smiled and bent his head back. Her small fangs grew slightly, as she sank them into his throat. Her eyes shut as she continued to drink. The man's eyes flickered shut. She set him down gently. "It's such a pity I have to leave you here," She licked her lips and checked his weak pulse, "But you'll live."

Cyrus followed her out, mouthing a few words of power before his sword materializied in a mix of black and white energy. He then followed after Rowan and ended up seeing Rowan put down a somewhat unconsious person. "Remind me never to get on your bad side when you're hungry"

*relieved to see they didn't see me I sneak out of the tavern and decides to start scouting out the village and perhaps make some of the starving poor not so poor or hungry anymore*

Her eyes dimmed. Rowan walked over to Cyrus. "I apologize for that... I only feed once a month on villagers. I prefer to choose the strong, healthy ones." She walked past him. "We should go back to the Palace." She walked ahead of him, towards the gates. "You can stay in my room tonight."

Cyrus actually blushed when he heard her say that. "M-Me in y-your r-room....t-t-together?!"

She smiled. "Of course..." She turned and looked at him. "You have a problem with that?" She asked, turning back around and walking. Her tail swayed back and forth.

"we cant thank you enough sir",says the peasant."You dont have to, its my job", I reply. After talking with the peasant I run off still amazed of how many poor people there are around here. Out of my whole stache I only have about 200 gold left. Thinking of a good place to rob I decide to head back to the castle. I hope I can perhaps make it deeper inside and actually get some really good loot.

He followed her, somewhat entranced by her tail and also by the thought of sleeping with her, although hes probably getting ahead of himself, no way they'd be sleeping that close to eachother....right?

Rowan lead the way back to her room. "Come on... My bed is big enough." She opened the tall doors and shut them behind her after Cyrus entered. She went into her large bathroom and changed and washed up. She walked back out and smiled. Rowan ambled over and lay on the bed, the red silk canopy dimming the light. The curtains surrounding the bed stayed tied back.

Cyrus sighed and tried to take a shower before going to sleep, but the instant he got into the bathroom he felt cold again, promping him to almost bolt out of the bathroom and onto the bed. He go under the sheets and starting warming up instantly. His breathing was rapid when he got in bed, but started to slow down to a relaxed breath until he saw Rowan, then it was barely audible. "This is starting to get annoying..."

As I approached the castle I tried to remember twhat I knew of the castle. The guard left a gap in defenses on west wall once every hour. I also knew that by taking west door I would be brought to a long corridor that leads to another hallway that I didnt know what lead too. I also knew that the first left of the corridor lead to the entrance hall but there were guards stationed above the entrance hall if you went up the stairs. So my plan was this, I was going to go straight and take my chances there and hopefully get to the royal quarters where they kept the really good loot. Of course my first objective was to make it inside which was easy as last time. Once inside I sniffed around for guards and actually found that there werent any in the corridor so I headed down it as silent as possible until I cam upon the next hallway. In the hallway I could hear a couple guards in a room adjacent to me so I waited for them to turn their backs to me and I sped off to the next door,once there I was now in uncharted territory. As I entered the new area I studied my surrounding and found a door to my left which I decided to try first. As I was about to open it I heard patrols coming so I hid in a corner that was hid by the door when they opened it and continued on their way. Before the door closed I slid through and continued my mission. As I slid through the door I wasbrought to another hall with a stairwell at the end, perfect that must lead to the upper floors. going as silent as possible I creeped to the stairwell and took it to the top floor. At the top floor there were guards everywhere which surely meant that the royal quarters were near. Sneaking past the guards I saw a very fancy door that was being watched by a guard. Lucky for me the guard was asleep so I went through the door unnoticed. As the door shut I found myself inside a bedroom that was gorgeous with all these gold candlesticks and a great facncy bed and a nice wardrobe. Next to the bed I saw a chest and suddenly I knew that it had to be full of good items of value.Bingo. As I crept slowly to the chest I noticed that two figures lay sleeping in the bed so I tried to be as quiet as possible. I crept to the chest and found it to be locked which was not unexpected. I produced a lockpick and eventually lockpicked the chest. As I opened it I found my self staring at a jackpot of gold and a few pieces of fine jewelry. It brought a tear to my eye and I grabbed as much coin and jewelry as I could and filled my pockets with them. As I got up to leave I looked at the bed in curiosity and with horror I recongized the lady and her bodyguard sleeping. Then it dawned on me, it was undeniable this lady had to be this princess Rowan. I froze and decided to make my exit as fast as possible.

Rowan laughed lightly. "I'm guessing you've made your Imprint..." She shut her eyes and rolled to face him. "It'll die down soon," she yawned, "Don't worry." And with that, she was asleep.

*setting his feet against the current of the opaque river Kistrev pulled a bell from the bandoleer across his chest, ringing it in a circle the sound of "Kibeth, the walker" rang through death.... ripples spread across the flowing river even as the weaker spirits where dragged towards life, however Kibeth was tricksome and rang of it own accord, causing Kistrev to stumble further into death as the spirits went further into life towards the dead bodies of the villagers he had prepared for them to occupy... concentrating Kistrev stood his ground, baring his teeth against the urge to walk towards the first gate, further into death, and onwards... once the last spirit had passed into life he held the bell still and turned back to life, where the bodies would be crawling back to theyre rotten feet, ready to feast on life again...*
((yay! one of my favourite book series too, the names of the bells may be wrong, cos my book is in england at the mo, so it doesnt really matter..... background, you can reach death where there is a dark river that carries spirits along to the final gate, where they die, there are deeper layers of death going through each gate, 9 in all.... a necromancer is someone who fights this river, to stay in life, and uses bells to enslave other spirits.... death can be reached from anywhere, especially where other have died.... sorry for the longness of that... :3))

He drapped his wings over her as he went to sleep, making sure they both stay as warm as possible, but forgetting that it made it seem...rather intimate.

Rowan moved closer to him. Her body pressed against his. She smiled and dozed back to sleep. An hour later she woke up. Her body sprinkled in a light sweat. She got out of bed and went to the balcony and stood out on it. The sun had not yet peaked over the mountains. She looked at her clock and saw it was 3:12 a.m. Rowan smiled as the cool air blew on her face. She sat on the railing and looked out on the village. Something had caught her eye in the forest. "That's odd..." She changed into something more suited for the cold forest and dropped from her terrace. She ran towards what seemed to be a cat. "Who are you?" She asked appearing from the darkness, her eyes glowing intensely. Rowan walked towards him and stood a few feet away.

Cyrus once again felt the now dubbed "ice of seperation" fall on him during his sleep, shocking him into complete consiousness and he tried to locate Rowan, catching her out in the forest of all places. He grunted while recalling his broadsword and leaping down from her terrace, bolting and almost ramming into Rowan. Not that I should be one to complain, but all of these excursions are really keeping me awake more than I like

With all the riches secure I smile in glee as I head back to the village to sell my goods when I see some wierd cat in the distance and for some reason I am drawn to him.

A lone figure entered the village, obscured by his black travelers cloak, and slowly made his way down the road toward the castle. Anyone passing him would see a black muzzle, striped with white, and a warm smile. Someone looking deeper, however, might see something more sinister approaching.

As I head towards the cat figure I stop. The reason unknown I sniff the air and smell a new creature enter the village and I feel compelled to check it out first. As I sneak into the village I follow the scent and I spot a lone figure obscured by a black travelers cloak. This being smells like something I have ever smelled before and so I decide to follow him, hiding in the shadows.

Eser wakes up in a cold sweat. He sits up in bed rubbing his eyes, trying to adjust to the darkness, instead he decides to light the candle next to his bed. His dream was the same as before, someone he knows, getting tortured and killed, tonight it was Princess Rowan. But it wasn't just anyone doing it, it was himself. Every night for the last year he had been witness to his own acts of torture on those he served happily. 'Why do I dream of hurting them?' he thought to himself. 'They have been nothing but kind, and caring.'
Suddenly, a voice, cold and sinister spoke to him, "You dream this because, this is what you want. You hate them!" Out of the corner a fox, colored black as night, steps towards him, entering the sphere of light given off by his candle.
"No, I do not hate them!" Eser yelled back standing up from his bed. "I will not listen to you!"
The demon laughed, sending chills down Eser's spine. "I only tell you the truth. I say not what I want, but what you want deep down."
"Screw off!" Eser said stepping towards the man. "I will not listen to you!" Eser swatted at the man, and he disappeared like smoke, and the voice was gone. Eser got dressed and headed up stairs, to check on Princess Rowan, and make sure it was just a dream.
Eser knocked on the door to the princess's room and said, "Princess Rowan, you in there, it's me, Eser."

You'll learn to live with it. Rowan smirked at the cat and vanished. She appeared next to Cyrus. "Boo!" Her icy breath fell upon his neck. Her arms snuck around his waist as she held him gently but firmly. She gently kissed that back of his neck and with that, she vanished among the snow.

Eser knocks more hectically on the princess's door. "Princess Rowan, are you there?"

Rowan appears at the door. "Oh... Hello... and you are?" She asked, her mind drawing a blank.

"Uh, Rowan, it's me, Eser, we've known each other since we were like seven, I'm the royal musician," Eser said very stunned at the princess's poor memory.

"Oh lord... I'm so sorry Eser. I haven't been too keen lately. Come in," She said as she stepped aside letting him pass by her. She smiled and shut her door. "It's been a while since we've actually spoken." She said sitting on her large chair.

"Yeah, I know," Eser said looking around and seeing the guard in the room, and the bed sheets moved in such a way to suggest two people had been sleeping in it. "You know, it'd be really bad if your father saw this," Eser said, "Who is he anyway?"

"Yes... I know. But he wont. Will he?" She said looking at him. "He's a guard. He saved my life..." She looked at the bed and walked over to it. She quickly fixed the sheets and sat back down. "So anyway. What brings you to this corridor?" She asked smiling.

A new day. I had been pondering quite a bit about Eser, proggressively, ever since the day I stumbled upon him through the echoing sonata that had entranced me to find him that fated day. I decided to make my way for the kingdom, after having a good cigar. The huge doors, welcomely opened in such an ironic way, noting the warring time. I had entered them and made my way to the stairwell that led to the practice room - with Eser's absence. Where did he go?! I sat on the piano bench, in deep thought as I blankly stared at the many instruments, uknowingly.

"You know you can trust me Rowan," Eser said smiling. "And I just came to make sure you were alright, I had another nightmare, you know the once where I'm torturing people," Eser said shrugging. "Tonight it was you, and I just wanted to make sure, I didn't, well, you know, sleep walk or something."

"No need to worry. What is causing these dreams?" Rowan's ears twitched slightly. "Excuse me for a moment." She stood and walked to the door, vanishing before making it to the doors. She appeared behind the male wolf. She cleared her throat and spoke. "Who are you?" She asked. Her tone was soothing, almost intoxicating.

Eser watched her disappear, and instead of surprise yawned, and cracked his neck. "Why does she always do that?" he asked himself out loud.

I had heard a voice from behind me. "Wha--?!" I jumped back, falling to the floor. A woman appeared behind me, a calm yet suspicious look on her face. "Um..." I was startled into nervousness, but I know why I came here. "Is... Eser around? I wanted to talk to him..." I slowly made my way back into a standing posture, dusting myself off.

*Kistrev rang the bell saraneth, the binder, its loud note rang true through the night air.... the dead stopped standing in a macabre attention, they where bound to his very will, servants of the stupidest dead kind, but strong and percistent... leaving them to hide away as the sun came up, for all dead fear the sun Kistrev pulled his cloak up, hiding the bells and sword and made his way into the village...*

Cyrus looked around the snow, and apparently she liked either torturing him or trying to kill him, because he could barely stay consious as he started freezing from the inside out. This...has to be...a dre- he passed out in the snow, the seperation taking out the last of his strength.

Eser walks onto the balcony, and looks out into the courtyard. A man lies in the snow, unconscious. Eser, too surprised to react for a second, then when he returns to focus, he pulls out his trusty recorder and jumps down, rolling as he hits the bottom.
The snow is cold against his skin as he stands up, brushing himself up. The fall hurt, but he was okay enough. Walking over to the man, Eser places two fingers against the mans neck, and feels a pulse, but it's slow. Eser begins to play a song of welcoming, and homeliness. The song is warm, and refreshing, yet relaxing. The music begins to work its magic on the bodyguard, warming his blood, and accelerating his heart. Eser puts his heart into the song, and focuses on reviving the man.

The traveler is drawn by the song that drifted through the air from some nearby point. He finds a Guard unconscious in the snow, and someone tending to him. He recognized the instruments powers and smirked, pulling down his hood and kneeling beside the guard. He began chanting with the others music, giving a harmony to the recorders sound. Though not meant to heal, the chants purpose was to amplify anothers power, a gift he used to great effect.

After following the figure for a lil I see him take his hood off revealing a skunk like head. Then I see him chant some words unknown to me and tend to a man unconcsious in the snow. With him I see a wolf playing sooting music that seems to have some sort of a healing effect. I am thinking of leaving when I notice a purse strapped to the side of the skunks belt and I decide to get a lil closer since they were preoccupied with healing the man. "time to work out my pickpocketing skills",I silently mutter.

Cyrus starts regain consiousness, feeling a warmth fill his body. But it wasn't a pleasant one, it felt like the sun was forcing itself into his body. He got up anyway, his broadsword still in hand, and saw the wolf closing in behind the person singing. "You again!?" He raised his broadsword and swung at the apparent "Robin Hood wanna-be"

"Don't even think you can get away!" he gathered a mix of black and white energy, throwing a sphere of it at moon. It smacks him in the back of the head, and takes the purse back. "Stop stealing from every person that looks rich, its getting very annoying!" he looks back at the chanter and gives an annoyed look "You know the heat isn't all that pleasant, now I need to go back to my Mistress before the heat wears off...thanks for the wake-up, I guess" he makes a leap out of the snow and onto one of the city walls, feeling the heat spell leave him. This is getting rediculous he thought as he lept across rooftops and onto the balcony of Rowan's room. He walked into her room and fell into the bed "Please wake me up before running off, I almost died out there..."

After being knocked to the ground gets back up and rubs the back of my head which is burnt badly and hurts. "Ouch that hurt.."Looks around and finds the purse was taken from me and gets really mad. I check though and see though my stuff that I stole from the castle is still there."How thick can you be to not steal back goods that belong to a person you are guarding",I mutter surprised that the bodyguard didn't take the stuff back.I think about just going back and stealing the pouch of money again since the bodyguard has left but I change my mind and decide to sell my goods first and give out the money robin hood style. I slump away still hurting from that blast of energy.

The robed skunk followed the figure who had stolen from him, placing a paw on his shoulder. "It seems you are needful. I can't think of another reason why you may have stolen from me." He gave a pleasant smile as he spoke, though it did seem slightly forced. "Come with me. I am going to offer my services to the nobles of this town, and I could compensate you for your services." He turned to the castle and made his way inside. "Or I could crush you like a roach beneath my paw." His voice remained pleasant, despite his words.

Eser watches as the guard jumps away, and shakes his disaprovingly. He sees the other two people and doesn't see anything to exceptional about them. So Eser proceeds to return to Rowan's room, to check on the pathetic guard that can't even keep his internal body temperature above 96 degrees. When he reaches the room, he opens the door and sees the guard lying on the princess's bed. Eser smiles and shakes his head, "You know, if anyone comes up here and sees you, you'll be dead before morning, right?"

He was rudly woken up by the fox he met earlier who asked him a decent question. "Well, as far as I know, I have permission from Princess Rowan herself to sleep in her bed, otherwise I freeze up from being too far from her...literally"

"That may be, but the King may not being so accepting," Eser said stepping in. "So why is it, you freeze when she's not around?"

"I...don't know, I just know that when shes near, I have my own body heat, but when shes gone, I feel....cold, painfully cold"

*Kistrev walked through the large town, he stopped before a villager and asked "where is the nearest graveyard?" if this had been the old kingdom asking such a question would have amrked him instantly as a necromancer even to a street urchin as this, however.... here people did not know, they could not tell.... charter magic did not flow here easily, the dead did not walk..... until now.... he and others had sneaked across the wall, the great wall that had held them in.... striding in the pointed direction of the graveyard Kistrev looked up at the stars, he could feel the prescence of death here. People had died, it would make it sooo easy to walk into death, and pluck the spirits from its flowing river. Inhabit them in the bodies at the graveyard, and kill all who stood before. No, he must wait, a bigger plan was at hand... he had to stay true to his plan and not let himself run off on a tangent... the graveyard was dark, but very close to a nearby castle, from where voices could be heard... it did not worry him, for few if any people knew of a necromancery and free magic over here. Stopping in the centre of the empty graveyard Kistrev fel to a kneeling position, pushing into death his body froze over with a coating of frost, but his spirit... it was walking the flowing waters of death, to find sevants anew....*

"That's very odd," Eser replied. "Is she ever going to come back?"

"My body tells me shes nearby....so I'm staying here" he nuzzles the pillow before going to sleep once again.

Eser waits impatiently in Rowan's room for her to come back.

Rowan quickly returned and spotted Cyrus asleep. She smiled and looked at Eser. "A wolf is waiting for you in the music hall." She sat on the bed next to Cyrus and stroked his fur.

The skunk began to approach the castle, but froze mid-step as if he had come to a sudden realization. "Change of plans, thief. Leave me now. Your services are of no use to me. And if you try to steal from me again, your end will be swift." He immediately walked out of the courtyard, wandering the streets for only a few moments before finding the source of what he had felt. Crouched in the darkness of a graveyard he crouched, and the skunk smirked. "So. It seems this land is not entirely pitiful. A necromancer... I remember the time when there were more of you. Pity you have not proven as resilient as some."

"Again?" Eser asked rhetorically. "I guess I should go talk to him, I don't trust him though, keep an ear out for me if I yell." Eser turns and walks out the door and heads to his practice room and sees the wolf standing there. "Hello," Eser says waving to the man.

I still stood shocked, with the strange teleporting woman leaving her trace of mystery behind. "Eser! Did you see that?!" I pointed at the wall in front of me, idiotically. It was where the woman stood and disappeared.

"See what?" Eser asked calmly.

"There was a girl... She appeared right behind me, and... Are you okay Eser?" Maybe she was after Eser... But didn't find him here.

"Oh, you mean the princess?" Eser said laughing. "Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry, Princess Rowan is just really fast."

*Kistrev felt a presence, it was like a twinge... it meant that someone had discovered his body.... however he was not one to leave his physical body unprotected, he had placed a charter spell... one of illusion, any who stumbled across him would find a young cat passed out in the graveyard, unless of course they where a charter or free magic adept, yet the chances of that in this pitiful land was small.... but he had to inspect.... ringing Saraneth the spirits around him sunk into the river, they would awake later... he had no need for them yet, and the two shadow hands he had created could wait for him in death, they where created like regular hands, but made using ancient rites and incantations, bodies made of shadow are weavved for them, they keep much of theyre intelligence and are servants of a higher degree.... he pulled himself out of death where he collapsed to the floor, momentarily exhausted from the tug of the river...*

"The--Princess?!" That was the princess? How did she teleport? "Eser... How did she do that? Teleport, I mean... Is she fighting the vampires too?" Her teleportation could mean more - more powers to unfold and use on others such as the vamps.

Cyrus' eyes open, but he doesn't move knowing Rowan is right behind him. He tenses up for a split second before flipping around and pinning her to the bed. "Please don't leave me when it gets cold outside...I almost froze to death out there..." he said before letting go and hugging her, happy that at least she's within arm's reach.

The skunk turned his head quizzically as the figure fell over, but understood soon enough. "Ah, how rude oh me. I should have realized that you were preoccupied. But now it seems I have garnered your full attention." The skunk seemed like he was about to continue, but suddenly began laughing. "Ha! And here I was, standing in a graveyard, speaking to an empty husk." He lifted the necromancer to his feet, smiling that sickly smile of his. "Oh, how ridiculous I must have looked."

Rowan smiled and nodded. "Alright. I won't disappear. I just had to check out something." Rowan broke free of his hold and looked out the window. "Aw... Well... No sleep tonight." Rowan flopped on the bed and sighed. The sun beams lit up the room, the gold diamonds on the wall shining and the red lit up nicely. She rolled and faced Cyrus. "So what would you like to do today?"

Cyrus looked up at the cieling and thought for a moment. "Well, I'm not hungry...but I'm rather interested in seeing exactly what the pick-pocket managed to grab while I was asleep" He then stretched, almost hitting her in the jaw with one of his wings if he wasn't looking. "But i'll be fine with just blocking out the light so you can get some rest for once" he snickered, blocking most of the sunlight.

Rowan smiled and moved back from his wing. "Watch it!" She joked. She shut her eyes and put her tail over her waist and quickly fell asleep. The scent of Cyrus kept her calm and soothed her.

I heaved a calm sigh, half in relief, half in confusion. "Well, I don't really know what's going on. She disappeared... Do you think she's okay?" I was hoping she was, noting I was the last witness to he disappearance - I could be blamed for murder if she was found in such a condition.

The skunk chuckled softly, sitting in the dirt in front of the cat. "We both know that isn't true, but I see that you wish I believed otherwise. What I see, what you are making me see, differs greatly from your implied presence. But if you want to carry on this charade, I'll play along. My name is Shaun Hart, and I am a wandering cleric, looking to offer my services to this lands lord. But we both know that isn't true..."

He had seen her earlier? What's going on... "Oh, nothing... I just thought I'd come by to visit." Was it really to visit? I daresay not, but I had no idea how to ask the questions going through my head, since I didn't even know exactly what was going on. "How have you been?" I asked this as I dug my eyesight straight on through his own, blank eyes. These eyes have seen the truth.

"I've been just peachy," Eser said thinking back to his dream. "Just peachy. So is there anything I can help you with?" Eser said trying to prevent an awkward silence.

Cyrus smiles and hugs Rowan, rolling on his back so shes on top of him. Wake up sleeping beauty... he thought as he licked her cheek.

Rowan nuzzled his chest and opened her eyes. "Morning," she muffled. She lied her head on his chest and let out a sigh. "How long was I asleep?" She asked, sitting up still unaware that she was on him. She looked out at the terrace and saw the sun. "Wow... that's rare." She smiled. She looked back at Cyrus and smiled.

"What, that you're sleeping with a male, or seeing the sun off the terrace?" he said as he smiled back at her.

I looked down. I stood on the decorative carpeting, shaken. Things were very confusing, maybe it being the mere atmosphere of the kingdom...
"... Nothing." I trodded past him, leaving any entrance of his eyes to meet mine declined. After I reached the top of the steps to the main hall, I stepped to the side and wisked myself into the hallway beyond. I decided to take a walk, moving onward continuously as to discover mentally the mess I had been in. But compared to what happened next, this was nothing.
I stopped to find some dark characters laying in the room beside me together, one speaking with - Her majesty? I froze. We looked at each other, myself motionless. I was half-tempted to turn on a heel back down the lowly lit hallway and out, but I stayed. There was another hell to discover.
"Y-You're majesty?" I slowly approached, wishing to sound excused for interruption.

Rowan smiled and kissed him. "Both. I normally don't wake up to someone being under me." She sat up and climbed off of him. She walked into her large bathroom and turned on the shower. "You stay out here... I'll be done in a moment." She smiled and shut the door. A few minutes later she walked out with a towel around her body. Her brown hair wet but still silky looking. She smiled at him and shook her hair out. It fell in front of her face as she bent down to go through her dresser drawers. Rowan pulled out a pair of black shorts and a light blue strapless baby doll top. She went back to the bathroom and got dressed. She walked out and looked at Chrono. "So... Hungry?" She asked.

He got off the bed and stood up stretching. "Ngggaaaah...for actual food, yes, for blood, no" his sword was nowhere to be found, but it didn't matter, he could call it back to him in a few seconds. "To be perfectly honest, you're the first female I met since I started patrolling...not that it subtracts anything from your beauty, Rowan"

Rowan smiled. "Well I'm glad that we met then." A bird sang from the terrace. Rowan smiled and went to it and picked the bird up. "You want to know something?" She asked kissing at the bird as it continued to sing a beautiful tune. She looked at him. Her hand stroking the bird. She whistled as if to speak to the bird.

"That you learned to talk to animals like the regular socio-paths of society?" he said, quickly dodging a thrown pillow from her after she set the bird down.

"Smarta**," She joked, laughing. "I just want to be free from this place. Fly away like a bird. And do as I please." She smiled as the sun from the terrace hit her face, warming it. Rowan turned and ran to Cyrus, jumping onto him and wrapping her legs around his waste and kissed him passionately. "And I want to be able to do that without any worries." she smiled and rested her head on his shoulder, her arms around his neck.

I looked on, listening to the conversation. They didn't hear me... nor did they see me.
I backed up again, in hopes not to spoil this miracle. I evaded to the hallway and on a chair outside the room. With my back straight against the wall, I listened on to the conversation they were having.
...blood?! My eavesdropping informed me about this one's hunger for blood - noting it was idle, but still pertinent to be active again. I began to shake... Her majesty was having relations with a Vampire.

Cyrus almost fell on his back when she leaped at him, his mind snapped open completely by the shock. "I don't think i'll need any coffee....." he said as he leaned on the wall. "Well, there is faking your death and running away...but that just means you can't come back until about five to six years later" he said as he held her up.

"But this is all I know." She said looking at him, her blue eyes searching his. "I care about my father... but I care about you too." Rowan played with Cyrus' fur, running her fingers through it.

He thought for a moment before a grin started to form "Then start a plague in the city, and explain to him that me and you should both get out of here before the plague reaches the castle...not that it will" he said with a devious grin.

(( It's all part of a trick he's fallen into - He's told he's supposed to study them alongside the kingdom when really he's just tricked into being murdered in an understandable way (The vampires,) not only because the hitman/boss wants him dead and out of his way in the "office," but because it's tricking the kingdom into showing they're murderers and he can make way with the public to bring down the empire's morale ))

Rowan grimaced. "Or.. I can tell my father the truth. He only wants the best for me.. and the best for me is right here... with you." She smiled. Rowan looked at him and kissed his cheek. "Now lets go get something to eat." Rowan opened her door and spotted the wolf. "Um... and you are?" She asked looking at him oddly, her eyes intense.

He got off the side of the wall, and after mouthing a few words of power, his sword materializes in his right hand as he looks at the Wolf. "Should I deal with him 'Mistress'?" he said, trying not to grin as he said that, but knew he was still too low in the pecking order to call her informally.

Rowan shook her head. "No... He did nothing wrong." She smiled at him and walked past him and down the hall. "Come on Cyrus... Breakfast awaits... I mean food that is," She snickered at her words. She could sense the wolf's nervousness. Rowan waited for Cyrus to catch up before she continued.

He nodded and closed the door as he left, the area he was in seemed to get darker and then a sinister grin crept up his face when his now beady eyes stared right at the wolf. "I'll deal with you later...." he said before the room was fully lit and he quickly caught up with Rowan, almost breaking into hysterical laughter as he could scarcely believe what he just did to scare a wolf of all people.

After the one attending the room with her finished his glaring, he walked off alongside her. The entendre about "breakfast" didn't quite suit my comfort, but I continued on and followed them. "Um... Excuse me for interrupting. I'm Scautty." I continued on, making a gesture that threatened my life, but kept me under wraps for my own suspicion.
I reached my paw out to the supposed "Vampire," offering a shake.

Rowan chuckled at Scautty. "It's nice to meet you... And yes.. Vampire, well Vampiress to you." She smiled and ran down the hall and jumped on Cyrus' back.

"I see..." So she was a vampire too. What was going on? I was supposed to study how to kill these guys, and they're right under my nose to...
Oh no. He wanted me to mention to them my field of study - and being under threat I would be killed by them. Well luckily I didn't say anything in time... Except to Eser. What was I going to do about him?
"Um!" I rushed over to the two, playfully continuing on through the hall. "So is that Eser guy one of them-- I mean, is he a vampire?"

"Of course. I grew up with him. But we mean no harm if that's what your concerned about. We don't feed often." She smirked looking at the Wolf and dropping for Cyrus' back.

He barely flinched when she jumped on his back, since he felt a feral-like aura quickly closing on him. "I'm Cyrus, her body-guard....if you want anymore, then you'll have to fight me to find out....but shes right, I rarely feed since I eat steak and pork on occasion"

Rowan smiled and let out a laugh. "Oh Cyrus. Be nice... Don't scare off the new guy." She joked poking him in the nose.

I gulped in my fear. So far it didn't seem like I was prey more than I was the "new guy." But I did have to somehow associate myself with them. "Um... Is there any way I can help with the kingdom, um... Mr. Cyrus?"

"Uh... we could always use another friend around the castle... god only knows I have enough of those... but another wouldn't hurt." Rowan smirked gently nudging Cyrus. "Or you could be another Guard. Although you look a tad scrawny... but you could always solve that." She scaled Scautty with her eyes.

He yelped at his nose being poked before looking back at Rowan with an annoyed look. "Or he could be the court jester....oh so many choices"

"Oh..." I looked on to Cyrus, in hopes he didn't spur out his fangs on me. I couldn't tell if my cautiousness was really an exaggeration or if I were falling for yet another trick - except performed by these two. "Well... whatever you need me for, I'm willing to help. I've found quite an acquaintance with the Vampire race."

"Cyrus..." She looked at him sternly. Her tail brushed him gently. She eyed him and shook her head, "But that means he'd be taking your job." She laughed and continued walking down the hall.

His ears automatically went back and he blurted "Whats that supposed to mean?!" and chasing after her, not content until hes either tackled or scared her.

I rushed along as the continued giddily. We had almost made it to the hall before I had decided to suck up to Cyrus, as to not tempt his fangs.
"I'll only assist you in body-guarding Her Majesty if you choose to, Mr. Cyrus!"

I stared on as they played around. Maybe they were just like us pure bloods. They weren't strictly "Blood and Business." They actually had the hearts to have affection.
As they chased each other around, echoing their laughs in the halls, I rested my hands on my neck, flaring my elbows out. I could get used to working with the vampires... And maybe even put them to good use.
If my "boss" was against these creatures as to let them murder me, maybe I can get them to rid of him as revenge for the information I tell them. It was flawless, because I doubt such a person to be against a civilization as this wouldn't be left in the dust.
I continued down the hall behind them as they played.

Rowan turned and tackled Cyrus. "Come on.. I'm hungry. We can continue this later," She smiled

"Fine, but I get to choose the prize" he said with a smile before gently getting up and setting her down. "Well I barely got a decent tour from you, so you'll have to lead me" he said with a mocking tone.

Rowan smirked. "You care to join us?" She asked looking at Scautty. She took Cyrus' hand and walked next to him, leading him to the Kitchen. "So what do you want?" She asked looking at the chef.

"Uh-- Yeah!" I followed them into the kitchen, where there stood the the main chef. Beyond that were many culinary shop tables and stoves to cook the wonderful food only the Royal Family could put their tongues to. The hallway seemed endless, but before I looked on to be virginous to such extravigance, I took a seat at the counter, still facing the two who had begun conversation with the chef.

The chef smiled warmly at Rowan and hugged her tightly. "It's good to see you too Gaston. So what did we get in today?" She asked looking around. "Well.. we have salmon, lobster..Steaks, lamb... All sorts for you Rowan." He said happily. Rowan hugged him back. "Surprise me then. There are three of us. My friend Scautty and Cyrus here. They are quite hungry," She smiled. Gaston saluted her and let out a joyous laugh. "You got it Miss."

Cyrus' jaw dropped then watered when he heard the chef, his eyes seemingly sparkled in facination. "S-Steak....L-Lobster?!" he almost yelled in disbelief. He lived as a step below a knight for almost his entire life, and now hes eating like royalty....

Rowan smiled. "Make it all. We'll manage to eat it." She laughed. Gaston smiled and nodded. "Sure thing little Ro."

My face paused in awe at the sound of the cooked good he was willing to prepare for us.
"Hehe, quite a big breakfast, don't you think?" Then I remembered who I was asking. "Uh--Ahem... Sounds good. Thank you for the meal, Your Majesty."

Rowan smiled. "It's nothing. Staying here gives you advantages." She laughed. She sat on the counter and looked at Cyrus. Hope I wasn't too bold this morning She thought smiling.

I combed through my hair with my fingertips, looking at the slick marble counter, closely enough to where it almost touched my nose. I had landed a spot that no one could easily get, but I wasn't too sure how much I wanted it. It was all a matter of priority I guess. Right now my priority was avenging my death threat by getting back at... him...

he looked at her and smiled, only a small amount of saliva on his jaw Nah, I kinda liked it.... he thought before sniffing the air and almost passing out from the smell of cooked food, being used to rations and sub-par cooking half his life.

I turned my head slightly to the two, who were silently in my presence still. From my angle I saw Rowan smirking at Cyrus. They were focused into each others eyes tightly-wound... Did they have a plan?
I didn't know too much about vampires, so I decided to question them. I waited for the chef to be farther away to tend to the scrumptious looking foods before I began.
"If you don't mind me asking... How did you become a vampire?"

The question caught his attention and he looked at Scautty "Oh, I got bit trying to save her from a power-hungry vampire..." he said non-chalantly while waiting for the food to come.

"...Oh." The indiscreet deliverance of the answer struck me hard. It was almost like he didn't care. Was the lifestyle of such a creature so similar to that of a human to where it wasn't life-threatening?
"Um... Well how about the blood thing? Like... Why blood?"

Rowan frowned slightly. "My own mother... She attacked me when I was 5. And the reason we feed on blood is because It gives us strength. If the blood is healthy that is." She looked at the grilled steak and the scallops. A platter of friend shrimp arrived. "Here is your appetizer," Gaston smiled setting it down.

The realization of Rowan's change almost kept him from not eating. But, when the chef laid the shrimp down, he almost ate half of it before realizing there were two other people who havn't eaten yet.

Rowan smiled weakly as she reached for a couple shrimps. "This is amazing Gaston." She said smiling. He smiled and hugged her. "No need to remember hard times, little mushroom." Rowan blushed and smirked. "Thanks Gaston."

"I'm... very sorry about the reminder." I picked out one of the small fish off of the platter. I hadn't realized my appetite until the shrimp had thoroughly been chewed on. It was magnificent! The taste, the texture, the temperature. I slowly reached for another after swallowing the last. This continued in a mannerful way, leaving enough for the others still. "Um... Is there alot of vampires in the community you could say?"

"Well... of course. You seem really curious about us... Is something wrong?" Rowan looked at him oddly. She ate another shrimp.

Cyrus lifted the plate up and let the shrimp fall into his mouth and chewing the shrimp, savoring the intensity and complexity of the flavor. I'll be damned if I ever have to eat rations again!

"Oh, sorry. I'm just curious is all. If I am to work for the kingdom I don't want to stumble into anything I need to know now." I reached for a shrimp splitly after Cyrus munched all of them down. In reaction, I itched my head with the same hand. I really don't want to seem suspicious of anything... Well, now I'm not. I just want to be on their good side.

The fangs gleamed - a serious occasion. So serious I would portray it. I leaned in closer to them, blanketing my fear completely with the anger that flooded my mind. "My boss tried to kill me. Wouldn't you be a little ticked?"

Chrono sobered up from his tasting of bliss. "Sure, but I wouldn't be making 'friends' with the intent of using them to get even....not like thats whats happening..."

"I'm not here to use people." His attitude had me at sudden realization. "I don't USE people. That's what my boss does. No, I'm here to start a new life. I was sent to the lion's pit, so I'll make good use of it by making friends with these... 'lions.'" I sat up taller. My eyes still fixated on Cyrus. I wasn't going to let my fear immobilize myself from making friends with one that can kill me instantly, before I could know it. "Maybe I CAN get a good revenge on him. It would ease up the situation of him scouting after me, may that happen. But that's all up to you guys. He's after your kind, and I'm not. Do you not wish to overcome the outward force?" I brought my face down a bit.

"I dunno...I'm more keen towards just being with Rowan and not having a care in the world...." He said while waiting on the other meal to arrive.

My boss probably has more information on you than your memories can depict. He can kill off anyone he sees fit. And with a suffering climax, might I add. He can kill anyone..." I glared at Rowan.

Gaston placed three Lobsters in front of us. "Bonn Apatite," He said and with that he went to finish the steaks. Rowan smiled and started to eat. "Well you came to the right place to restart." She looked over at Cyrus and smiled. "I'm glad you feel that way." You may want to keep expressing feelings on a down low till I tell father. She thought smiling.

"Hm. I wouldn't say I chose this place per se. But I can get to liking it." I cracked open the lobster's limbs, beginning to suck out the delicious meat residing in the shells. "By the way, I have nothing against either of you... I probably came across as any stereotypical victim to a vampire. And you spared my life, so I can't make you plead guilty... I'm sorry." I fiddled with the empty shell as I said this. It was the truth, I was just hoping they wouldn't take my soft side for granted.

"Of course, I mean... Everyone would always judge things based on media. At least back home..." I became homesick, so I continued to eat the lobster. I would've rather left myself sickened, but it was way too delicious.

Gaston entered with grilled steaks and bakes potatoes. "Wow Gaston... You are an amazing cook, hands down." She smiled sniffing the air.

I flicked my hair out of my eyes as Gaston placed the potato side down. I scooted it aside for the steak and decided to make way for it. Three strikes, it was scrumptious. "Well, anyways... What do you plan to do with me?"

"Work you. You will be of some use to our kingdom... But No punishment... There is no need for it. We are humble." She chewed on the steak and purred at its flavors.

"As you wish Your Majesty!" I continued to chow down, trying my best as to not expose my grin. It was like Christmas.

Cyrus tossed two potatoes into his mouth and chewed them up before taking a piece of steak and stuffing it down. After somehow swallowing it all, he saw a hint of steak out of the corner of his eye, and immedeatly bit into it, finding that he was stopped halfway and saw he was seemingly kissing Rowan. (Lady and the Tramp ftw?)

Rowan's eyes widened at the kiss. She quickly thumped him on the head and looked at Gaston. "uh...." Her ears went back. Gaston smirked. "I wont tell. Cooks promise. My little mushroom is growing up," He whimpered happily. "Oh Gaston..." Rowan blushed a deep rose color.

"Um... oh!" I looked on to find the two leaving the kitchen. I thanked Gaston and made my leave, following behind. "Where to now, Your Majesty?"

He looked at his doors awaiting her presence. Rowan opened his door and looked back at Cyrus. "Wait her for a moment." She walked into the room and approached her father. "I have found someone I am, later on in the future, willing to marry." Her eyes flickered back and forth, trying to read her father. He leaned forward and smiled. "And whom, may I ask, is this man?" His voice was warm but stern. "Cyrus." She kept her face emotionless. Her father scowled at first but then smiled widely. "I'm proud of you. You have a made a decision that I approve of. But! He must promise me to keep you safe and out of harms way, if anything happens to you... It's his head." Her fathers face hardened as he threatened Cyrus' life. Rowan smiled. "Oh thank you father!" She rushed to him and hugged him. "You wont be disappointed." She kissed his old cheek and ran out. She saw Cyrus and jumped on him.

I just made slight incisions into the twos' eyes with my own, wondering what had happened. "Um... Did you even talk? I didn't hear anything from here..." Vampires had a full bag of trickery, I shouldn't be suprised the next thing I learn about them and beyond.

*Kistrev stood up.... the charter magic disguise back to its full strength, leaving a young feline with chocolate brown fur and a the aproximate age of 16 or 17.... the necromancer bells where gone to be replaced by normal bells of the musical kind strapped across his chest, the sword was not so easy and had stayed a sword, but had lost the deep red fires of free magic and the silver hilt.... he pulled the cloak around him and stood up walking out of the graveyard.... walking through the town he headed in the direction of the palace, he couldnt enter its grounds due to spells of warding and pretection, yet he could prepare...
Turning the corner, near to the palace wall he tripped over someone who was sitting on the ground, he was sent sprawling in front of three people, one of whom he realised was the higness.... the bells jangled in theyre clasps, the clappers set a ringing, if they had been necromantic bells, most likely he would have been hurled into death... that or any dead creatures in death would have leapt into life to feast upon a foolish necromancer... however to those he was now sprawled in fron of in the mud and coughing he looked like a regular, if muddy, young feline of around 16...

Rowan held her head. "Ow... What the heck! Watch where you're going Small fry!" She stood and walked over to the feline, face planted into the mud. She pulled him up and smiled. "Don't just lay there. You could drown..." She vanished and reappeared with a towel. "Here, wipe yourself off." She walked back over to Cyrus and put her arm around his waste. "So who are you?" Her voice high with curiosity.

*Kistrev wiped his face with the towel, gratefull for the soft fluffyness of it after the mud* "my names Kistrev, im new in town, just came in with some travelers, im like a musician" *he touched the bells across his chest, they looked no more than regular bells, not necromantic sowers of destruction... yet even charter magic could not hide all... and when Kistrev touched "Ranna" the sleep bringer its small chime still made him yawn, hopefully it would only seem he was tired... he looked at the others, they where all older and where looking down at him... he couldnt help blushing, though it was not visible behind his chocolate brown fur..*

Rowan looked at him oddly. Her eyes illuminated for a quick second then faded as if it never happened. She smiled to break the tension. "So... A musician eh?" She said crossing her arms. Her tail swayed back and forth.

"uh yeah, a musician..." he smiled, pulling the traveling cloak over the bells, lest they try and sound again of theyre own accord... he copied the other, drawing his knees up to his chin and watching her.... there was a sudden shock of recognition in his face.. "you wouldnt be?" he looked shocked as he recognised her, his tail stopped swishing as he suddenly went silent...

Rowan looked at him oddly again. "I wouldn't be what?" She asked her eyes illuminating again then quickly fading away. Oh.. not again... I need to find someone... or something she thought.

*Kistrev looked suddenly embarresed, his blushing cheeks not quite hidden by his chocolate brown fur... * "god i didnt realise, running into you... arent you princess Rowan?" *his tailed swished nervously, his knees drawn up to his chin, his eyes sparkled with youth*

"Uh... yes?" Rowan looked at him oddly, then smiled. Her eyes stayed illuminated. The blue glowing intensely. She flashed her fangs as she smiled.

*Kistrev looked slowly at her, somthing wasnt quite right... and that smile... he had seen smiles like that one wolves before... and it never boded well for the one smiled at.... he had to do somthing.... she would not recognise the power of the bells, surely not... * "yeah im a musician... you want to hear me play?"..*he pulled two bells from the bandoleer and set them on the ground, flexing his fingers he held them tightly by the handles, and with a long languid motion he flipped them in the air caught them and rang them in a long peal... the two bells where "Ranna" the sleep bringer, and "Saraneth" the binder... the charter disguise muffled theyre power, which was good.... Ranna rang with a long low melody of soft pillows and warm blankets, while Saraneth called out with the encouraging strength of a guiding hand.... all of which washed over Rowan and Kistrev... this was the main drawback of the bells... some affects got the wielder too, and if a bell rang of its own accord....*
*He flipped them back with a quick fluid motion and the bells where silent, yet theyre calls rang on, like a unearthly serenade of echoes... Kistrev surpressed a yawn as he watched Rowan for the affects...*

Rowan smirked. He doesn't look tired... yet he's yawning. That low pitched bell seemed... different. She thought to herself. She quickly shook her head back to reality. "Very nice. Are you tired? You seem to be yawning a lot..." She looked at him patiently. Her eyes still illuminated she focused them on him. The intimidating glow flashing at him every she blinked.

its been a long day he answered in reply.... the bells had worked, but maybe she knew just a bit too much... those eyes, so blue, they reminded him of the eyes of free-magic creatures from over the wall... theyre eyes burnt with silver flame, theyre presence created a hot acrid taste in the mouth... he snapped back to what was happening here an now... he placed the bells back in the bandoleer, so they hung down against his chest... he handled them like wild animals, always keeping the clappers still... until they where in the bandoleer, where leather tongues stopped the clappers from ringing.... he started to shift about where he sat, pulling his knees up to his chest as he stared into the bright blue eyes... "i suppose i should be going soon" ... he looked worriedly around...

"Oh nonsense. Nothing ever happens here. I'm sure you have time to spare. We were just getting ready to play a little game of Man hunt," She said. A small chuckle escaped her mouth as she thought about her words. Her breath carried over to Kistrev, filling his nose with a sweet-mint scent. "Care to join us?"

Kistrev sneezed at the strong mint smell.... he was feeling kinda light headed... no, he wasnt he was... he was standing up and leaning on the building wall beside him... no! he was sitting down and..... "yeah sure..." *the words where slurred and dreamy his vision kept swiming in and out of focus... NO! Kistrev pulled several marks out of the charter, and let them infuse his body, he disguised this with a sigh, as his head cleared... vision becoming sharp and focussed..*
((the charter is a connection all charter mages have with magic and life force... by pulling marks from the charter spells can be wrought with the right combination of marks.... it is harde to grasp and use safely than most other magics, yet decidely more powerfull... and mostly unused and unknown...))

Rowan smirked as he became a bit dizzy. She looked down at him and laughed. "Alright then. Lets go!" She waved for him to follow and darted into the forest.

"HEY! wait up!" *Kistrev thudded after her into the thicket of trees, his legs where shorter than hers and he struggled to catch up as he leapt over a mass of thorns roots and brambles... the bells jingled muffled in the bandoleer, as they swung up and down as he ran... he giggled slightly as he ran, he handt felt like this in an age, young and carefree... that was another problem with charter disguises, you started to feel like the one you where disguised as... if he waited too long he could even start to lose memory, until he would become this young chocolate furred feline... in mind not just in body... he jumped onther patch of thorns trying to catch sight of Rowan..
in fact... he had already been under this disguise for some time... and he could feel mermory's slippping away... DARN!.. he started to attempt to unravel the dsgiuse but hit a tree, as he lay sprawled out, falling unconscious he could feel the last of his merories slip away, this would create problems........................*

Cyrus finally snapped out of whatever stupor he was in and followed Rowan into the forest. Thats it...I'm tagging a glyph to Rowan so this stupid chase doesn't keep happening!

Rowan laughed at Cyrus' thought. "You would do no such thing!" She shouted back to him, her voice echoing in the empty forest.

I followed, gazing at the treetops above. I was pretty convinced nothing bad would happen.
"So... Who is this Eser guy? Is he a vampire too?" I had almost completely forgotten about him - The first I told about the original plan under way.

Rowan smiled and nodded. "Of course. He's been my friend for as long as I can remember." She looked over at him then the sky.

Cyrus appeared and ruffled the top of Rowan's hair. "You let your guard down, good thing I'm here as a back-up"

Rowan laughed, her lips meeting his. "And you should learn to keep your guard up... or I can't depend on you." She smiled and vanished. Her cold breath fell upon the back of his neck. "You should learn to keep watch of me as well." Her lips brushed his neck as she walked back around to the front of him. "So.. shall we play?"

"Sword, or hand?" his ears perked up and a some-what predatory grin crossed his face.

Rowan smirked. "Hand. She growled cheerfully and disappeared into the forest. "Come and get me boys." Her voice taunted in the silence of the woods.

He felt a sudden chill run down his spine, spurring his search on even more as he quickly began to comb the forest, catching her scent after two minutes of straight hunting and followed it...

Rowan was in an ally. She sank her teeth onto the mans neck. Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. Her eyes glowing intensely. Calm yourself. It'll all be over soon. Don't fight it. She soothed the man with her mind. His body relaxed as her mind took over. She released his neck and lied him on the ground. "You'll be awake soon..." She turned and spotted Cyrus. "Oh... so you've found me."

He stopped when he saw the body, all the play-full ness leaving him. "If you just wanted blood, why did you get me all worked up, I could have easily given you some of my own..."

"I can't take yours. I couldn't bring myself to do that." She looked at him saddened. She walked over to him and kissed him, her lips still bloodied. She licked her lips and wrapped her arms around him.

"Then what if I'm the only source of food for you within reach, are you going to starve yourself?!" he started to worry, since he could easily stock-pile blood for her so she doesn't have to attack random people.

"I would rather... The state that I place them under is a state that I don't want to put you in." She looked at him, her body pressed against his. "I don't want to harm you."

"Fine...I guess I can't convince you through words..." a grin crossed his face and he started tickling her, his wings brushing against the other ticklish areas his hands were not already occupying. "I won't stop until you agree..."

She moved about laughing. "Fine fine fine..." She looked at him and weakly smiled.

I stopped in my tracks. "I'm going to head on home now... I'm getting a little tired." I turned on my heel to leave. "It was very nice meeting you Your Highness, Cyrus!"

"Alright... see ya!" She called to him.

As I left the area, leaving my new friends behind me giddily playing, I began to think. Was Eser going to take advantage of the knowledges we had conflicted? He doesn't even know I figured out the truth... So I guess whatever he may have been planning is ruined.
... Or is it?

He smiled and leaned against her head after he stopped tickling. "I still have alot of blood left-over from that wolf-rapist and the steak..."

"I'm fine now..." She looked at the still living man. "He'll be fine... he just wont have any recollection of tonight."

He sighed then pulled her increadibly close before lifting her off the ground and jumping onto a roof. "Good for him, but now I have a wolfess whos full and should probably head to bed" he said with a grin.

"Probably," Rowan said smiling.

guh... Kistrev woke slowly, his head pounding... he looked down at his chest, noticing the odd set of bandoleer and bells.... necromancers bells..... what? that thought had come unbidden into his head, what was a necromancer? he stood upright stumbling against the tree, that seemed to be coated, as was his head, in blood.... his body seemed unnacustomed to walking as he cleared the woods he ran into somebody who he had seen with the other two... he mumbled a sorry and staggered on, clutching his head with his paws as blood dripped from his wound....

"Well, I have to get my surplus fill first..." he kissed her and set her down, then jumping down and dashing through the city. He kept moving so he could survive outside of Rowan's aura of warmth, and he soon found someone trying to mug or kill-loot someone in the street. Cyrus grinned as he lept out of one alleyway and slammed the attacker into another alleyway. "How about I spill your blood instead?" he bit into the mans neck, and started drinking at a pace he really couldn't control, and he basically turned the attacker into a shriveled husk of his former self. He also noticed that there was no blood leak from his mouth while he was drinking. Great, I turn my victims to husks... he thought as he ran back to Rowan and hugged her from behind. "Back..."

"That was fast... You mind was going a bit crazy while you fed. You need to learn to control yourself. You're still new at this..." She smiled and broke from his grasp. "We should get back to the palace." Rowan walked down the road, a winter breeze whipping her silk brown hair about. She turned around and winked. Her eyes still illuminated.

He sighed as he walked after her. "I was perfectly stable, I just couldn't control the amount of blood flowing into my mouth...but I've never seen vampires leaving their victims dry like I did earlier..."

"That's because we tend to stop ourselves before they die... You need to learn... And there is only one way to teach you..." She looked at him and smiled.

"Come on... It's getting late. We should get back to the palace." Rowan walked out of the alley and down the street. She looked back waiting for Cyrus to catch up.

"Okay Princess" he stretched a bit before walking up to Rowan. "I know I should be happy for this...but it seems really boring right now..."

Rowan looked at him oddly. "What do you mean?" She asked. A shriek came from behind them as a man was thrown from a house. A large, armored creature stepped out after him. It walked up to the man, picked him up and tore him in half. Rowan wrapped her arms around Cyrus and they vanished.

"What just happened?" Cyrus was asking while in the middle of her vanishing, and seeing the area she travels through from vanishing to vanishing.

Rowan looked at him. "A guard from the other kingdom is in the town. I need to warn my father..." She grabbed his hand and ran through the forest. Branches being pushed away and scratching at their faces.

"Fine, but this does admittedly alleviate some of the boredom..." His demeanor was positive. After meeting Rowan, his life has been surprisngly lax compared to what he heard as the standard vampiric lifestyle. The lack of combat made him annoyedly complacent, almost itching to start a fight.

Rowan turned to Cyrus. "Let's do something you must learn eventually." She held out her arm to him. "You need to learn to control yourself."

He almost looked like an overgrown kid when he realized what she wanted from him. "No, I'm not biting you....what if I take too much?!"

"You wont... I'll live.. It's kinda hard to kill me." She looked at him, she put her arm at her side. "It's either my arm or here," She said pointing to her lower neck. "You need to learn.. and who better to teach you than me?"

He took a long breath, then started to bite down into her arm. He expected blood to come, but none did Either i'm too scared to draw blood, or I can't seem to break the skin... he thought since his mouth was full of Rowan's arm.

Rowan looked at him and noticed that he wasn't putting any pressure. "Bite my neck... It's the only way. And actually sink you're teeth in... Don't be afraid to."

He changed position, and started to feel....hungry "Am I supposed to feel intense hunger before biting....never done it after just feeding..."

"Yes.. you are." Rowan put her head back slightly. "Place your hand behind my head and sink your teeth in. You'll need to learn to control yourself... there is a point when you are full and when you are ravenous. I will warn you or fend you off if you get close to ravenous."

"O-Ok..." he gingerly bit down, then managed to break the skin through will alone. Half-way through it, the caution in his features washed away and a hint of red appeared in the pits of his eyes.

Rowan took a deep breath as his teeth sank it. She let him feast, his hunger being filled. Her eyes lit up blue as he reached ravenous behavior. "Cyrus... That's enough." She vanish from his fangs and appeared behind him.

He turned to face Rowan, a red glow along with completely black eyes were all that differed from his ususal apperance. "More..."

Rowan bit his neck and drained him just a little. "You need to learn..." She walked in front of him, her eyes intensely glowing.

"More!!!" he lunged at Rowan, probably too far gone to stop himself.

Rowan laughed, her eyes lighting up quickly after just fading. "You're foolish." She went back and kicked him into the air and over her. "There are many things you don't know about me..." She cracked her neck and pulled back her long silk brown hair. "Let's play," she taunted.
