Feeling Trigger Happy?
« on: January 31, 2014, 08:16:40 PM »
I'd seen another fur post his brand new M82 on another forum and that got me thinking, are you a fur with an enthusiasm for firearms? I wanted to start a thread where we can talk about everything that goes bang. I've been into firearms and the fandom equally as long but I don't know if I'm the only one who loves the feeling of a fine piece of machinery designed from iron, wood, and steel in their paws. Or maybe you're looking for a new hunting tool or a means of personal defence :I

Here we can discuss pricing, where to buy, how to buy, and general tips or advice on maintenance, safety, and handling. If you don't like guns, this might not be for you, but I'm happy to answer any questions some people may have even if you're not big into firearms.

I bought a Russian SKS and an ISSC MK22 the other day and I wanted to show you guys my new haul. These guns are probably the opposite of eachother in every way, but they're equally as fun to shoot.

I LOOOVE the FN-SCAR, finding a clone in .22lr was a great way to start off my week.

What about you guys? Airguns, airsoft, and paintball guns are accepted too :P Can't leave out all the fun.

Well, as myself, i own a .357 Ladysmith and a 15-22.
I use the ladysmith as self defense, i carry it unconcealed everywhere.
The 15-22 Is just for target practice.

I think the Ladysmith is comparable to the Ruger LCR, aside from it being really nice and flashy :P I was looking into getting one myself but laws here in Canada don't allow handgun barrels to be shorter than four inches - let alone carry them around D:

I'd love to see how your 15-22 holds up against my MK22, they're virtually the same gun from what I can tell. Before I bought it I was looking at the Mossberg 715 tactical for the sake of saving money (which felt like I was holding a toy) but I was sold on the looks of the MK22 and how the stock folds, something most AR models don't do. I like to travel compact and light xD

Where do you buy your 8mm ammo? I haven't even found a website that carries 8mm anymore D:

I'd start saving early pawz, ACR's aren't the most affordable on the market right now unfortunately. At $2300 - $2800 I don't think I'd ever be able to get my paws on one until I'm in my late 30's. What were you thinking of using them for?

Speaking of affordable, I found a Norinco coach gun (a cutdown double barrelled 12gauge shotgun) for only $260 today. It's got external hammers and double triggers, but I think its cool and old school :P This is the shortest barrel we're legally allowed to own here and I don't know why it isn't classified as a restricted weapon but I'm not complaining xD It's solid walnut with barrels made from crude Chinese metalwork. Top of the line.

This thing is going to be inaccurate as hell but that probably won't matter within 30-40 ft. Im using 12g 7.5 birdshot to hit bottles

Nibbler, I meant to ask what stock you've used on your 10/22. I was thinking for a short time to put a tactical stock on my SKS but I can't bring myself to break off my bayonet permanently just to install one :I I've looked at TapCo and ATI but I'm still out of luck :(

Agreed, I always like to keep military surplus guns original. As far as the stock on the Ruger goes its a ATI Dragunov and I really like it.

The ACR and 226 will be used for my bug out kit in case stuff goes sideways it has good accuracy so I'll attach a long range scope with a 45 degree offset for shorter ranges this is all predicated on having the money for it it will take me a while to save up for it.
