Where did Your Username Come From?
« on: April 13, 2015, 04:23:43 AM »
What inspired you to use your username on this forum? Is it specific to this site? Does it have some profound meaning, or is it simple in its significance?

The name I am using currently on this forum is specific to this site, coming from the lyrics of Changes by Phil Ochs.

The world's spinning madly
It drifts in the dark
Swings through a hollow of haze
A race around the stars
A journey through the universe ablaze with changes

His name comes from the elf language of the woodland realm it means half blood walker. Kal meaning half blood and anikal meaning walker of. His full name is kalanikal artheom, artheom meaning bluepaws coming from his wolf half. He descends from the bluepaws line. A little pun I made on blue bloods. So his full name is kalanikal artheom, half blood walker of the blue paws

Razor was the nickname I gave to my rayquaza in pokemon Ruby
One day I signed up to a website with Razot instead of Razor.
Razot1 was a name I used when I forgot my password for Razot.
MrRazot was suggested when I forgot the passwords to Razot and Razot1 on YouTube :)

Well, Nick is a given. My real name is Nicholas, after all. However, Sintari is an interesting one. I have a little story to tell with it.

So, when I was younger and I made this character here, I had heard of the star Alpha Centauri. So, lacking a surname, I decided to pronounce the name phonetically based on how I assumed it was pronounced; Sin-tar-ee; Sintari. I stuck with the name for two reasons. Nick Sintari was originally very... outlandish, much more brutish than Sytex. So the word 'sin' sounded like an amusing fit for the nature of it all. However, I changed that part of him, making him into much less of a brute and more of a social outcast going against the expectations of the society around him, so for that (with this world being a lesson to those ignorant fundamentalists), the word sin still fit, but in a different definition, since everyone thought Nick's birth was a bad omen for seemingly 'defying the natural order.' That, and his black scales only seemed to perpetuate this idea further.

So yeah, the character's name is my username, and there's the story of its creation.

well It used to be Naismith, taken from a character of a book that I rather liked, His name was Miles Naismith. He was sardonic and sarcastic and just generally a cool guy. He was also extremely smart and had a bit of a problem with authority.

before it used to be Fox0509, which came from the YouTuber Kitty0706. I saw that when I was looking for a name to call myself, and i thought "wow that looks cool!" so I took it and went with 0509 instead of 0706. why 0509? dunno. random numbers.

My current one? been playing a little too much red orchestra. Found My avi. The name just kinda came along with it.

An anime called Wolf's rain.
Needed a username for another site a few years ago and had recently been watching it, so it was the first thing that came to mind and I've kinda stuck with it since.
Sometimes (usually when Cheza is taken or too short) I also go by Chezana, which is just Cheza + the two last letters of my real first name.

I used to go to Furtopia daily, but I was young and very shy so I didn't post much. Unless it was a fun RP, then i'd be a smaller character.
My old username was The_Invisible_Mongoose. And since I was not thinking straight or good with names, I just used the initials.
So now i'm Tim, sometimes Timmy or Tim-Tim... depends on who is calling me.
That's how OI made my name.

My last name is Groves and in primary school I was nick-named "groovy" and variations of that. And I've always loved Grunge music especially Nirvana. Put the two together Grovy- a play on words between my last name and the word groovy, and Grunge and you get Grovygrunge.

I was watching standup comedian Chris Titus do a bit involving a German Shepard. It was a military gsd, and trained to kill. The dog was sicked on Titus when he called the dog "Taco". He begged the trainer to make "Taco" get off. So the trainer is like "Get off him Taco!! Stop it Taco!! Taco release!!" (Knowing that it would not respond to that name).
Eventually the trainer touches the dog and it releases Titus. Then the trainer leans in and says "The dogs name is Teiko [Tay-Ko]". I thought that was a completely badass name for a doggy. So i stole it lol.

Here's the bit:

Armonia is my fursona's name lol

Actually, I just came up with it when I was developing a fursona last year. For some reason, a lime green deer fox with cotton candy striped antlers should be named "Armonia". Obviously, designs later and a title added, and the real Armonia reigns with a soft paw.

Well, originally I went by MortisReptus. I still sort of do. It means dead reptile, which, at the time most of my characters were.

Since then I've swapped to Mortimus-maximus... Which started because one of the life models in a class of mine called me Mortimus... And so I'm the maximum Mort. Mortimus maximus. Yes.

Wanted to join a Gay teen forum when I was still uncertain of my sexuality, decided to be "anonymous"

Anonymous was taken, so tried "Anony", this was also taken, so tried "Anoni" this worked. And I thought it was good enough to stick with.

As for "Bleese", well, that's a secret
