as some of you might know i'm involved with scouting in here the UK, is anyone else part of scouting at all?

Ahh, I just saw this! I'm not a part of scouts, but of Guiding - the female version. I volunteer at a Guide unit and a Brownie unit, as a Young Leader and an Owl

What's it like in scouts?

its good been doing it since i was 6 and i'm an explorer leader now

just signed up for the moot next year in iceland (thats open for guides as well)

That's great! I only got into it about 4 years ago when I first started helping. I never got to do the whole 'Guide' thing for myself, but it's nice to help get people have the most fun they can doing it

I saw that actually, I got an email about it. It's a little expensive for me, but I hope you have an awesome time there!

thanks im sure i will

i went to the last one in canada in 2013

but yeah i help with an explorer group so 14-17 year olds

but from what i've heard from girls who are both scouts and guides, scouts is better

but it's a good community to be apart of

also there are bursaries and fundraising available for the moot just so you know, it's not a massive amount usually but it can really help

I used to be in the girl scouts from about age 7 to 13. I stopped going when my troupe split up from a lot of people moving around that time. I remember getting my bronze badge shortly before that..
