An all nighter is when you stay awake for the entirety of the night, normally to study for a test that is tomorrow or to start an assignment that you completely forgot about.

Here is a topic to talk about all nighters in general!

Here is a story about an all nighter that I pulled off a few months ago.

So yeah.
I pulled an all nighter, then was extremely sleep-deprived the next day. Turns out that we were going to watch a documentary in one of my periods the next day so I thought it was a good idea to sleep through it since it wasn't that interesting. So I did. When I finally woke up everybody was crying. The documentary was tragic according to my friends and I was left so confused xd I missed everything

So many sleepless nights because of school last year, Im sure this year will be no different. I try to take power naps throughout the day and of I cant I need to wait until the following night to sleep or Ill wake up too early for class the next day. I normally spend the time on here or browsing FA :P

Not getting sleep is rarely the problem for me. It is not getting enough sleep each night that has a tendency to do me in. I am one of those people that needs a lot of sleep to function. As long as I stay on my sleep schedule I should be okay. Hopefully I don't run into issues with that this coming semester.

Lately I've been getting 2-4 hours of sleep per night which I need to fix like now. But for all nighters, i pulled a lot in middle school. Not so much now. My most recent"all nighter " was when i fell asleep at like 4pm, and woke up at 9pm, so I stayed up all night till the next day and felt pretty good in class. Then. I went to bed at like8pm. Oddly enough I can't better then compared to how i fell every day now.

I have done my fair share of night shifts (so far) while juggling uni, and also just for the hell of it... all I can say is being nocturnal is easier for me, but I function a miiiilllion times better sleeping at night and being awake during the day.

If I do pull an all-nighter and not sleep during the day, or just not get enough, it's a pretty bad time.

Usually I pull all nighters when I'm online and forget to ever go to bed. :P

And that's how I become nocturnal.
I reject your reality and substitute Disney World. <3
