One of my fursonas is a striped and brown hyena mix. She was originally a free substitute avatar on Second Life I used while looking for a decent bear one to modify into my main, but I soon fell in love with it, got a higher quality hyena avatar, and developed her character further. I've felt much closer to the hyena since. I haven't thought of a decent name for her yet, though.

My hyena furaona's name is Teshi. She is one of my favs ^_^ could not decide on if I wanted a striped or spotted hyena...I chose spotted.

I'm in the process right now of making a striped hyena fursona for myself. I liked the sounds of a spotted hyena but just couldn't help falling in love with the striped hyena's coat pattern.
Its good to see there are a few other hyena's!

Hi! I'm hyena too! Well... Hybrid. I call my species Nyctidae, being part African Spotted Hyena, African Wild Dog and Bumblebee Bat. I know African Dogs and Hyenas are natural enemies, but I am also a person with a lot of internal conflict so it makes sense to me anyway ^-^
