Things that you step on
« on: October 27, 2011, 05:28:00 PM »
Have you ever stepped on something you have nightmares about or are horrified upon thinking about it again? (Please keep all posts appropriate)

For example, I stepped on two syringes once! I had to pull both of them out of my foot.

I have a phobia against stepping on gum and cigarettes on the street, if that counts? I step between them. Always.

Always.

My rat when she was free roaming. If she sees me walking she likes to follow me.
Poor thing squeaked when I stepped on her, I spent the rest of the day petting her and giving her treats in hopes of forgiveness.

Once stepped on a spider barefoot. I felt someting hard on the floor, looked down, and this black spider about the size of my pinkie nail scuttled away. I loathe spiders, so I wore socks all the time for a while after that.

I was on a retreat at the beach a few years ago and we were walking back to our housing area beyond this old railroad. As I was walking I failed to notice a particularly large piece of glass and stepped on it. At first I did not exactly realize what had happened, but as I put more weight on my foot I figured it out  x_x

The piece of glass managed to poke straight through my shoe and dig itself into my foot, but it was easy to extract and I thought nothing of it. When I got back to the house, I took off my shoes and starting walking around for a bit, but then someone said "Is that blood on the floor?"

That was not something good to hear and I had a feeling that blood might be mine. Sure enough I looked at my sock and discovered a damp, red patch had formed at the ball of my foot. That was definitely not good  x_x

Thankfully it was easy enough to fix, but when I got home I had to get a tetanus shot  T_T

So basically for the tl;dr person: I stepped on glass, made a bit of a bloody mess, and I am definitely never doing that again!

That reminds me of the LotR scene where they worked for hours to clear the beach of anything sharp and then the actor managed to find that ONE shell they hadn't found...

That also happened in PotC1 actually. If you watch the scene where Jack and Lizzie are marooned, you can both see and hear Depp yelp as he steps on something; that ONE broken shell they missed while clearing the beach. Typical huh?

This is why I avoid beaches. Well, one reason anyway. The thought of stepping on things there and in the ocean makes me shudder.

Dang! I never knew that! I'm gonna have to find those scenes!  XD

Those shells do hurt though! I can see where you're coming from there.

Reminds me of a time when my little brother scraped his foot on a nail sticking out of our drawer and got my pikachu house shoes all bloody...this was back when I was about 8 I think. Is it bad I was pissed at him for ruining my shoes even though he had to get stitches?  :P
