How tall will I be?

I'm 14 and 6 months old, and I'm 5'10, not sure if weight matters but i weigh 125-130 lbs, my mom used to be around 5'11, but she's starting to shrink and now's she's 5'10, my dad is 5'9.5, my grandma was 5'9-5'10 when she was young, and my grandpa is 6'4-6'5, anyone know how tall I should be?

If you want an indication: (mother's height + father's height) / 2 = your height.
Keep in mind that your height might vary with +- 5cm

I wouldn't go by this since gender makes a big difference to height, + I'm also taller than both of my parents, so there must be factors of lifestyle, nutrition and whatnot.

Genetics are fickle. If you had late growth spurts, you may still grow an extra inch or two by the time you're 18.


Keep in mind that posture is critical if you want to appear taller--at my 5'2", it makes all the difference in the world.

All the growth charts say I should be 6'3, also not kf this matters but I wear a size 13 shoe, and most of the males in my family are above 6 feet I'm height, and the females are also generally above average.


Besides, I know people at my school who are younger then me and are 6+, lucky bastards.

According to what I've read, nutrition accounts for 40-60% of your height. That is to say that a malnourished person with the same genetics will end up 40-60% shorter than a well-nourished person. You'd be surprised how much we don't know about the human body. It's kind of just guessing at this point.


My gut is telling you'll end up in the range of 6'3" to 6'5". My brother was around the same as you around that age and he ended up at 6'3" with our tallest parent being 5'11". He also reached that height with a bit of a hunchback and when they found that out they said he would be 2-4 inches taller without it. Even I'm approaching 6' and the only other person above 6' in out family is an uncle. Our grandma is around 5'5" and our grandpa is about the same height as our dad.


There's no really good way to tell what height your going to end up and I think that the farther back you try to predict that, the less accurate it's going to be.

Nutrition counts for half my overall height?


I'm going to be pretty short then, considering that I'm not healthy in any way at all.


But then again the majority of my family is over 6 feet, with the tallest I know is my uncle, being 6'8, a giant compared to everyone else, there could be taller, but he is the tallest I know so far.

Not necessarily based on your nutrition, but on if you eat from what I can tell. It seems to me that if your body can grow, it will, so not eating takes away its fuel to go and you end up shorter.
