Discord log in issue.

When I tried to log into Discord tonight, using the link here, I had to go back through the verification process on my e-mail. Got a message that it was because I was logging in from a 'new device', but it was the same desk top I always use. I run on Firefox, using the private window. I suspect the issue is because it deletes the cookies?

I use the Private window for my forums so the pups don't get into them.

It is most likely because you're not saving cookies, yes.

any way to not have to verify everytime, other than not going Private?

Not that I know of. Logging into a non-private window just once and then logging out might help. Otherwise you could try contacting Discord support. Not much we can do from our end.

There are also a few ways to keep private while still saving your cookies.

History blocker by site (for chrome) is a chrome extension that will automatically remove history information for specific sites that you give it. It just blocks the history, it doesn't delete your cookies. So if you're worried about history then that's a solution.

Another alternative if you are worried about cookies is to access tff via a different browser altogether, example chrome. If you want to be extra safe you can put a password on your browser too (chrome also has an extension for this called Set password for your browser but there are other passwords too, just look for the extensions)

Finally if you wanted to be REALLY careful then the best solution would be to create a virtual machine JUST for browsing TFF. It's a little over the top but if you want to make sure no one can get onto TFF but you then creating a virtual machine (use Virtual box) running Ubuntu (or tails or Qubes if you want even more security) and just put a password on it.
