There is a part of me I cannot find,
a part of me thats hard to define.
Something that had once been seen in my eyes,
a certain spark that had kept me alive.
Now I cannot find this missing puzzle piece.
It disappeared when my mother died, my father lied, when my grandmother cast me aside,
and when I was left with the demons inside.
But I do know that without this missing piece I'm not the girl I use to be.
Even in my darkest hour I still possess this special power.
The power that makes me as strong as the flower that grew from the concrete.
I have hope.
& one day hope will set me free.
