What book would you send your younger self?
« on: July 29, 2014, 04:37:31 AM »
This is a question I saw on betterworldbooks and I thought on sharing it in here  ^_^
Anyway, I would send myself two books: Momo and The Neverending Story, both by Michael Ende. I read those both as a teenager and I wished I had read them before. Maybe also the whole HP saga because I've never read it but now that I want to I don't have the time (I have to read "grown up" stuff  :P

I would recommend myself a book by the title of The Book of Joby. The book would have opened my heart up to so many other forms of literature and my reading back then would have been vastly more diverse. I really started reading like crazy when I hit the Sixth grade, so I doubt I would have found this book back then, but I really wish I had. The multiple themes and meanings in the story would have taught me more about life than I had been learning and would learn for several years.

The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins

Knowing I was a meat machine earlier would have been cool.
