How about zombies! Modern, and we are sent in to clear a city, but are separated from command by both bad comns, and a horde of zombies!

Not a bad idea. Though if it does become a zombie Rp then would there be any special infected?

I think it should be if the infected person has a high degree of skill in something (IE soldier, cop, etc.) they retain those skills. So if a guy knows how to use a gun really well, he will use a gun as a zombie.

That sounds pretty cool. If anything it would keep encounters a lot more interesting without going to crazy lengths for these mutated infected
It's more fun when things don't go exactly as planned.

I was thinking more along the lines of them being able to have certain abilities. Like the kinds of zombies from left for dead.

Yeah.
"Boomer bile!" - coach from left for dead 2

If you think about it zombies are a really amazing thing. Just think about how much punishment they can take, how long they can go without food and the fact that they can reanimate themselves once they have died of starvation whenever someone walks past or nearby.

Not all of them. There's plenty of types of zombies! In 28 days later, they starve!

Yeah I know that. In 28 days later though it's a Phycological... I can't think of the word for it... :/
Anyway in most zombie movies and games it's a virus.

Like in zombieland for example. In that it's an evolved version of the "mad cow disease" (yes it's actually called that) and it develops into a virus that makes people ridiculously hungry and violent (almost like actual humans when they are starved for a few days at least. Just more severe).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
