Kalan Made Me Do This: Character Bios (there will be more...soonish)

Okay so now that someone has told me to actually do this I'm getting off my butt and doing it. Spoiler: If I feel like adding more I will so if ya wanna keep checking this out I guess you can. Further spoiler: Not all of the characters are gonna be fully fleshed out, some may never be.


Alright I'm gonna do a brief and simple bio for just one character in it's current state to start with. Here goes nothing...


Name: Alexander/ Xander (placeholders but Xander is sticking a little with me so I dunno)


Gender: Male


General Appearance: Scruffy, untamed black hair. Bags under his eyes. Tends to just throw on shirts and jeans and considers himself dressed


Hobbies: Hasn't got a lot of them, but thinking too much about things is one. So he thinks anyway.
 
Personality: Being quite young (about his mid-teens), you would expect him to be quite hot-headed. Surprisingly, he tends to be quite calm, however this is due to a general lack of care to most of what is happening around him. He has found himself growing distant and disillusioned with humanity, as a result he is very reserved, he hides how he feels and wears a mask of indifference to make sure no one can really tell.


He tends to be that guy who acts like he doesn't want to help but deep down he really does. This can be down to the fact he struggles with cognitive dissonance. Despite having given up on humanity and choosing to see the bad in people rather than the good, he still clings to a very desperate hope that he can be proven wrong and be shown that there is such a thing as hope.  He clings to this small hope in fear of losing what makes him human.


Due to his reserved nature, few have seen what he is actually like when he lets down his guard, however his closest friends claim that despite being serious a majority of the time, he can also be extremely laid back, as if all the energy has drained from him and to a point where it is almost contagious. They also claim he actually does have a sense of humour, just that it is very dry and sarcastic. This side pf him is seen very rarely as he only seems open enough to share it when surround by those he is close to

Here goes, second character. I'd love some feedback for this one as I'm not sure it's as finished.


Name: Addison


Gender: Male


General appearance: Tends to wear clothes that hide a lot of skin such as jumpers (sweaters) and hoodies etc,long, wavy hair, quite a small, fragile figure.


Hobbies: Has dabbled in many things but has only ever felt a passion for music. He wants to let people hear the tunes stuck in his head.


Personality: Addison is a very quiet person but he tends to be quite kind. He is quite reserved but not amazingly so, he can open up without too much trouble, he's just selective as to whom he opens up to. He often does his best to avoid the spotlight and blend in, wanting to avoid any trouble.


He doesn't really know what his place in the world is, feeling perpetually lost and uncertain. This is made worse by the fact he is occasionally mistaken for a girl. He doesn't have the confidence to really stand up for himself and is often bullied or picked on, tending to view himself as a burden because of this.


He finds refuge in music, often seen to be wearing earphones or headphones. he doesn't mind being alone, often actually preferring it to large crowds and it allows him to think and collect his thoughts. He has an unorthodox world view which many do not tend to understand, he is often pessimistic about the big picture and the grand scheme of things but quite optimistic on a personal level. This has led some to not quite get him as a person or even believe he is two-faced, this gets to him a lot more than he really wants to let on.

I really like the description of Addison grovy, I somehow feel like I can relate to him.

Thanks, Furme. Both Addison and Xander are based off of me in ways, specifically how I myself have been in the past so that may be part of what makes you able to relate to at least one of the two. Next step is hopefully short story which will be on here. May or may not add another character before then I'd have to create one first

I've actually been meaning to start my own journal and use it to help me discover myself step by step...so kinda like a story, but through daily events.

Name: Damon "The Demon"


Gender: Male


General Appearance: Tends to dress in a smart-casual fashion, typically wearing a shirt with jeans combination


Hobbies: Any sort of physical activity that can be used as a way to vent anger. He has been know to box but people say he has terrible technique and just goes all out, in the past he has been banned from fighting due to "going too far".


Personality: Damon has a reputation which proceeds him, he's the kind of guy you don't want to get on the wrong side of but unfortunately you can easily do so without even knowing it. He tends to hurt those who he feels are in his way, regardless of if they really are or not. Many people have made the mistake of thinking little of him, going so far as to call him "a wannabe tough guy bully". In actuality, he keeps to himself unless provoked or confronted, it just so happens he is easy to provoke. It would be an understatement to say he has anger issues.


Those aren't the only issues he has, he also suffers from: Abandonment issues, daddy issues, a problem with authority and an almost crippling sense of loneliness. He has decided that the world is against him and that if that's how it's going to be then he'll just go against it too.


His abandonment and father issues are a major contribution to his anger as well as the source of his problem with authority, he is angry at the father who didn't stay and the supposed replacements who proved to be even worse as well as the fact that in his darkest hour, the people meant to protect him did nothing.


Many would probably become dejected and depressed in his situation, but instead he just got angry, that anger is the driving force of his very existence as far as he is concerned. Everything he does is either to vent his anger or out of an anger driven desire to be better than his real father and "fathers".
