If you listen... (unfinished poem)
« on: September 16, 2015, 04:22:48 AM »
I wrote this earlier today, in a flurry of writing activity (much of which I will post on here in due time)
I'm as of yet unsure if i want to continue this poem. I have three more stanzas thought up, but I want some feedback at to whether or not this is a worthy project to continue. Criticism (of the constructive variety) is welcome. Trolls will be fed to the bear (which is me)  XD  (I know there aren't any trolls here, I just wanted to make a funny)

If you listen then the wind
May whisper ageless tales
Of lands no longer present on this earth
Heed their words, and the trees
May speak of heroes’ deeds
And the treasures that they looted long ago
In the distance, rolling thunder
Laments its pain and suffering
And scream its darkest hatreds from the Sky
Yes, all the world is alive
But only to the open mind
Fly with me and we shall see
All the magic that our Earth invites

This is the price of freedom, friend.
If to our wills the world should bend
If our virtues are praised for one thousand years
Let too the sound of sins reach future ears
