Blaine & Tyler's Apartment, Ladera Heights

In the hallway of the apartments, Blaine stood and smoked a cigarette. The party had started but he was too tired to enjoy it, having worked all day during the busiest time of the year. He brushed his hair back and checked his phone. Poor signal, the screen warned.


Tyler came out into the hall, cup in one hand and cigarette in the other. "You coming back in?" He asked Blaine, who shrugged in return. "I don't know, man. I'm honestly not feeling it." Blaine replied, taking a drag off his smoke. Tyler took a drink and opened the door. "Come on, get inside and let's party. We got the whole week off, you should be glad." Tyler said, a dumb smirk on his face. Blaine sighed and followed him inside.

Holly and Kai came late, Of course. Kai had her knife and dragged along a large duffel-bag that was obviously way to big for her but it was stuffed to the absolute max with parts and tools from her last and most favorite exclusive class, Robotics. She planned to specialize in it once she was done with university. Holly came with her clothes, knife and need to party. Kai put the bag down next to the door and pushed the door open, "Hey Blaine!" Holly sighed, "Do I need to save this lame party?"

Blaine was already on the couch, spread out. "Doubt it, party boy over there has it handled." He replied, pointing to Tyler who was making a spectacle of himself. Blaine got up and kept talking to Holly as Tyler migrated back to them.


"Hey Kai, what's up with the bag?" Tyler asked over the music, finishing his drink. Thrash metal blared through the apartment, along with the regular noises of any rager.

"Oh, just my classes. Some robotic parts, tools and soldering kits." She smiled, shrugging her FOB hoodie slipped back to show her robotics team shirt. Holly snorted, "Party boy looks... How do I explain that? Oh yeah, kinddaaaaa stupid."

[Blaiiine]

Blaine laughed and brushed his mohawk back, yawning. "Yeah, that much is true. Dude's the life of the party though," He said, taking his pack of cigarettes out. Lighting one, he looked to Holly. "Want one?" Blaine asked, holding the pack out to her. Over the music, sirens could be heard passing by.


"Oh yeah, I forgot you had that class. Where's the geeky guy you always bring around, anyways?" Tyler asked, sipping from a new drink he found. While waiting for Kai's reply, he looked around the apartment. Metal and punk band posters lined the walls, from the living room to the kitchen. The place was filled with different people, some he knew and most he didn't.

Holly smiled, "You know I do." She pulled one out and lit it with her own lighter. Kai slipped the jacket back on and blushed, "David? Oh he was staying late to finish a robot."

Blaine put the pack away and looked to Tyler. "Did you take my drink, you prick?!" He yelled, jokingly. It still caught Tyler off guard, who jumped mid-drink. Wiping the bitter liquid from his muzzle, Tyler glared at Blaine for a moment before returning to talking with Kai. "Frickin' d-bag, man..so, how was class?" Tyler asked, wiping his Leftover Crack shirt off.


"Well, I guess I'll have to go find one," Blaine said to Holly before taking off to the kitchen. Shoving his way through the crowd, he stopped at the counter and grabbed a red plastic cup. Looking out the window, everything looked normal. A few more cops passing by, but nothing unusual.

Kai shrugged, "Pretty good, the teachers took my robot though." Kai snorted and Holly took a long drag and walked off into the party. Kai turned back to Tyler after watching her sister walk off. "They said they wanted to 'look it over for any cheats' when really they just wanted to study it. I put a microphone on it and I'm gonna play it in class next time." She laughed a little pulling out a small screen with a small box taped to the back of it. She tapped the screen a few times and suddenly a couple voices started conversing over how something was something ingenious.

Tyler laughed at the video before lighting a cigarette. "Dude, I could never do that robotics stuff. I'll stick to computers and game systems," Tyler said, checking his phone quickly. Still no signal. He took another drink and stood around, awkwardly running out of things to say.


Meanwhile, Blaine sat on the counter in the kitchen with drink in hand and cigarette in the other. He watched over the party, tapping his combat boots against the cabinets.

Kai looked to the door, "The hell the police doin'?"

[Blaiiine]

Tyler grimaced from his drink and replied, "That's Blaine. He does that with his boots. It's...annoying." He sat on the couch, sighing as he sunk in. "But if it is the police, maybe they're looking for those rabies victims? Oooo," Tyler replied, sounding as sarcastic as he could be.


Blaine jumped down and went off into the crowd, looking for Holly. He was bored as hell and would rather be bored with someone else.

Holly was over at the edge of the room, watching for somebody she might want to take home. She saw Blaine looking for somebody and waved. She had a bottle of whiskey she got from a store down the street from her house. Kai giggled at Tyler's sarcastic answer, "Yeah, wondering what exactly happened to make the 'rabie victims'? Like what the hell is that?" She already knew the answer but still she asked for the sake of conversation.

Blaine stopped and changed direction through the crowd. He leaned up against the wall, next to Holly and took a drag off his cigarette. "See anybody you like?" He asked, cigarette still fixed between his lips.


"I think it's just some hoax, to like, drive up vaccines or something," Tyler jokingly replied, taking another drink. His face was already blushed and red. "So uh, how's work been?" Tyler asked, taking another drag off his smoke.

Holly shrugged, "Nah, these idiots ain't got nothing."  Kai shrugged, "I doubt it, I mean, a mutation was bound to happen sometime. Work has been going okay, Thanks for asking." She let him blush,

Tyler nodded, and then quieted down. He took another drag off his cigarette and messed around with the cup in his hands. "Mine sucks. Closed all week to get this um, week off." He said, still looking at the crowd.


Blaine watched Tyler for a moment, before looking back to Holly. "Well, that's a shame." He said, smirking. Crossing his arms, he went back to watching Tyler and Kai.
