For Broken:
At about 8:30 Somali time, a tall, lean Somali man with a light Kalashnikov Rifle strapped to his back creeped into the hotel, calling for the crew in their room. Soon the Crew was herded into a small Sedan, driven by the informant and another Somali with a LA Dodgers' Cap. The somali, calling himself Captain, whispered to the crew as they went through the darkened streets, the only lights from the headlights and the camera which was recording, "You must be very quiet, at the moment the Americans are this close to sending in troops again, for now all we have to contend with is the UN, but either way, be quiet." He looked out the side window at a group of young somali militia, all were chewing Khat, "Also, make sure to look out for anyone with Yellowish-Green Teeth....theyre not so stable." the car rambled along the side street.
The Russian news Crew was awoken at 8 to follow an armored UN column as it delivered medical and food provisions to an Israeli Aid Station on the outskirts of Mogadishu. the UN driver, a Pakistani, motioned out of the bullet proof glass, speaking as if he had prepared a speach for the crew, "These streets have always been a warzone, due to colonialism and civil war, the UN and the Americans have tried numerous times to help this nation, but it's people see us as invaders, unwanted Infidels within their land, I am Muslim myself and can see their point of view, but when hundreds of thousands of men women and children die from disease starvation and warfare, when will it be enough?" He shook his head and sat forward, talking to the driver. A gunner leaned in, the camera swinging to face him, "The Colonel is a peaceloving man, the only reason he joined the UN was to help..... but lately...hes just been down, his brother was killed during the first wave of UN missions here, and he's never been the same." as they moved on, small children tossed rocks at the APC's, the Gunners and Men inside shouting out in Pakistani at them.
