The Battle of Praxis VI lasted about a few months, before the Sangheilian warships smashed away the Brute fleets. Leaving the ground forces relatively unharmed, the Sangheilian finally decided to send a small squadron of Phantoms to check if there were any Brutes even on the planet. The Brutes, having been left stranded in their bases, decided to dig out as long as possible, activating distress beacons. the Plasma Turrets opened up on the Phantoms, quickly downing them, all of them crashing in separate points in the surrounding jungle. The Brutes sent an entire pack out to search for survivors, as the Elites attempted to regroup and steal a working ship. Will the Elites make it off the planet whole, or in pieces, will the Brutes end up getting demolished, or will they win, and Will those Grunts finally get a kill?

(you may be thinking "GABAG ENOUGH OF THE DANG RPS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD THIS IS THE 5TH ONE!" well I say, just roll with it, ooc and characters on the companion board)

Climbing out of the wreckage, 50 Terran years of military experience never trained Opha for a crash landing. Looking out over the jungle landscape, he regarded points of ambush, and possible vantage points to be exploited by the Brutes "Shake it off Sangheili, a Phantom crash is the least of our problems"

Squinting his eyes he could see smoke billowing not that far off from his posistion, turning to a Major stood nearby he growled "have we got any patrols out in the jungle?" Ardax'xor waited from a response from the major

Phoenix looked inside the wreckage of a Pelican. She knelt down and inspected a plasma rifle. Full of amo, she took it. She continued to look around. The humans lying about, scattered.

Looking at Nix, he points to her and says "You, go and scout, make sure the Brutes havn't deployed a hunting party."

"Yes sir." She turned and sprinted around. She quickly fell upon a bunch of brutes. They hadn't seen her so she quickly hurried back to Opha. "Sir, there are 3 brutes 30 paces north east of our location. They are heavily armed. And they seem to have some captives."

"I should have expected as much from these beasts, lie low, don't be seen, keep an eye on the Brutes, attack on my signal..." he said making hand motions of his plan. Taking out his carbine he says "To war my brothers and sisters, to war...."

Phoenix crawled to the ledge to get a better look at the brutes and a better listen in. She stayed hidden as well as possible. "They're in my sight." she whispered.

The major nods, giving a grunt. "Two patrols, and a flight of banshees. I can have them all on the crash site in moments..." He smirks, loading a fresh clip into his Spiker.

Deeper in the jungle, a badly damaged Spirit transport had lodged itself into a hill, one of its two side bays blown clean off. From the wreckage crawled a single soldier, disoriented and injured from the crash. "Well, it wasn't the Chiefs driving, that's for sure..." He hefted his SMG, starting off into the jungle after a quick glance at the wreckage.

Getting into position on a rocky outcrop above the brutes Opha yells "NOW!!!" and begins to open fire on the Brutes. Aiming at the one with the Brute Shot, he quickly takes off his armor, and finishes him with a shot to the head.

Ardax'xor grunted in agreement "Do it then. Have the patrols hold back until the banshees perform a bombing run, then send them in, we will flush them out! and grind them into dust!" he roared, beating his chest, a few minors joined in, beating brute shots and Spikers against their chest armour.

"Then it shall be so!" The major beats his weapon against his armor, ordering the banshees to bombard the crash site. "Burn them to cinders, kill them all!"

The ODST dives behind a tree as the sounds of the firefight echo through the forest. "Gah! I just can't get a break! Why can't I crash land an alien ship on a deserted planet for once!"

Deeper in the jungle, a small campfire was burning, and around it sat two grunts. one of them, a very slightly larger than normal grunt named Bubul stood up and waddled over to his companion, a short, stout grunt by the name of Gabag. Bubul reached out and placed his hand on Gabag's shoulder "don't worry, we find 'nother shiny rock tomorrow kay?" he said in the characteristically high pitched grunt voice, "don't wanna, I want old shiny rock back" Gabag replied stubbornly. suddenly they weapons fire off in the distance "ohh others! maybe they found our shiny rock" Gabag squealed excitedly, jumping up and waddling off in the direction of the noise, "wait, wait, we didn't even eat our caterpillar soup yet!" Bubul whined as he waddled off into the underbrush after him.

[Arke]

Arke turned to see two grunts approaching him through the dense foliage. "Oi, you little monkey-dogs! Hold it! Don't come any closer, got it?" He waves his SMG at the duo, racking the slide.

[Golge]

Bubul heard Gabag scream "ahhh don't shoot please no hurt!" and then saw him hide under a bush, Bubul moved forward and saw the gun wielding human and screamed as well " no hurt! no hurt! just want our shiny rock" and he dove under a bush as well, he squinched his eyes tightly, waiting for the gunshots.
