The Park

This is a casual RP that takes place in a forest park. There are many trees of varying heights, bushes, flowers, walking trails, small ponds, and a playground. Standard park stuff.

SPECIFIC RULES
- OOC comments are allowed, but enclose them in some form of parenthesis, ex. () or []
- If you are directly replying to another user, please quote them to keep conversations organized
- Any format of RP is allowed, but please use proper spelling & grammar

*The black feline sits on an unoccupied swing an beings to swing back and forth, humming and enjoying the nice weather*

[Char_the_Fox]

[OOC: Hi, this is my first rp post, so please tell me if I am doing it wrong, thanks. Oh and Char tends to argue with himself in his mind while thinking of what to do  ]

*the sun shines warmly on the park as a fox, wearing a backpack and looking around, explores the area nervously
He comes across an empty playground, empty but for one certain black feline*

-Wake Up!- he thinks to himself -There is someone who can tell you about this place! Go talk to him!-
-But what if he does want to talk, I- -No just be confident, walk up and say "Hi, the weathers nice today! My names Char, pleased to meet you!"-

*the fox shakes his head and walks up to the feline and sits down on the unoccupied swing*

-Come on, this is your chance! You can do it!- He thinks to himself.
Clearing his throat, he says "Umm... Hi?"

-Idiot...- He thinks

Clearing his throat, he says "Umm... Hi?"

[[OOC: My char is a guy, by the way. But he does look a bit feminine so a mix up isn't out of the ordinary.]]


He lifts his head at the approaching fox.


"Oh, hello there," he says, not entirely sure why he's being addressed by a stranger.

[OOC: I manage to mix up genders irl too also I tend to related felines to females, not sure why.  Sorry tho]

-Gosh darn it why do I always- No, just roll with it, stop being nervous all the time!-

*the fox's ears twitch nervously*

"Umm, I was just wondering what this place is?  I'm kinda new..." He says gesturing to his pack.

"Umm, I was just wondering what this place is?  I'm kinda new..." He says gesturing to his pack.

"Oh, it's just a park. You know, like casual outdoorsy kinda place. I just like it 'cause it's usually peaceful," he replies.


"Uh, I'm Salem, by the way," he adds, "who're you?"

[Char_the_Fox]

"Oh, it's just a park. You know, like casual outdoorsy kinda place. I just like it 'cause it's usually peaceful," he replies.


"Uh, I'm Salem, by the way," he adds, "who're you?"

"Umm, My name is Char" he says with a small smile, "And what do you mean by 'usually peaceful'?

-Woah, you did that by your self, good work...- He thinks

[OOC: I guess I'll just join here. Seems nice enough.]

*Suddenly several fireworks shoot into the air nearby and an explosions follows. A fox comes running from the general direction, and, seeing the two on the swing, runs over to them.*

"Oh, sorry about that. I just got the slightest impression that somebody in the vicinity mentioned this place being usually peaceful or something."

He followed a path over to a stream, jumped into the stream, and swam off.

Before he can reply to Char, the fire works go off. He jumps at the sudden loud noise, his fur puffing up and his tail shooting out, causing his to fall off of the swing.


"Umf!" he says as he hits the ground.

[Char_the_Fox]

*As the fireworks go off, he twitches slightly before turning to stare at the fox who just ran past.
Hearing a 'thud' he turns to se Salem on the ground"

"Wow, you are very fluffy now," He says, offering his paw "Need a paw?"

A gray Wolf-Fox walks up wearing worn jeans, beige work Boots, and a sleeveless muscle shirt.
"Man, they ought to do somethin' about them launching fireworks in a public spaces. My name's Haden."
He had a soft southern accent.

[Char_the_Fox]

*after helping Salem up, he turns to Haden and adjusts his glasses*

-wow, suddenly everyone is turning up out of nowhere. He seems to have some sense of authority- he thinks -shush will you, you hardly know anything about this place yet. He is just being polite you idiot...-

"Oh, umm, hi... I am Char, nice to meet you.." He said with a mild Australian accent.
[OOC: Oh, we have accents now? Ok then , I treat Char as slightly foreign.]

"Thanks," he says to Char,  apologetically adding, "loud noises kind of freak me out."


"Oh, and I'm Salem, by the way, and I am definitely in agreement about the fireworks..." he says, turning to Haden.


[[OOC: His accent is just a general American one]]

"Well, I'm new to town. I've been backpacking through the U.S. for a few weeks."
Haden sits on the swings taking a boot off and shaking out a pebble.
"I'm from southern Louisiana. Where it's always hot, and never boring."

"I've been a lot of places, but I have not yet seen Louisiana. Strange, because I've been in America so long."


He brushes the dirt off of himself after his fall and retakes his place on his swing.

Suddenly the fox who had previously jumped into the river comes running back to the area where Salem and Char are sitting, being chased by a bear. "A little help please?"
