Bohemian Rhapsody or Imagine
« on: April 23, 2010, 08:49:28 PM »
So me and my best-friend were having an song battle, he placed Bohemian Rhapsody on the table, so I placed Imagine by John Lennon. Both are naturally brilliant songs, we asked a few people in school which song is better generally and it was literally a dead heat but Bohemian Rhapsody came out on top with 2 more votes. So I thought about asking people on forums and with or without a discussion, which is the better song?

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

or

Imagine - John Lennon

Good going Sparky, you did well. On the plus side, it's given you a chance to accidentally revisit some old stomping grounds and see what madness you can create during this seemingly temporarily return.

I prefer Bohemian Rhapsody. It's all over the place, jumping chopping and changing, making it fresh and exciting. I like that kinda stuff.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

Freddy Mercury is a music icon and he has the voice that competes with the gods themselves, but he's definitely no John Lennon. I'll have to side with you on this one. I vote Imagine.

Do you wanna know how good is Bohemian Rhapsody? Recommend it in a karaokey song and end up having everyone in the room singing it. That and does Imagine has this?

I'm sorry, I normally go with the minorities and tend to go against popular opinion but I have to say that this really is no contest. Bohemian Rhapsody is just one of those songs...it's still awesome and ever-changing, mixing things up and inspiring people to this day. It has incredible power to move people, get them involved and unites across many different age groups and tastes in music.
It's infectious, it's contagious, it's just...awesome ^^;
The farewell was premature. My definite stay is not definite. The constants are variable. The greeting was too late.

i vote for Bohemian Rhapsody
A young man can be sent to a far away location, far from family to die for his country in the feild of battle at a certian age, but not be old enough to vote. - Myself
