Bat Anatomy Need Help
« on: December 17, 2016, 10:11:08 AM »
I've currently got a bat fursona and I honestly don't know how to draw it's legs  D: :o o.O
I usually draw the legs plantigrade however I am not sure if this is correct or not.
What do you guys think? Plantigrade or digitigrade?

I've seen many digitigrade bat fursuits so :/ //

this is baffling halp

In my honest opinion, I would agree with you and draw plantigrade legs.
Looking at the bat skeleton, they have legs quite similar to humans, with defined feet and knees.
I would also do it so it has a dropped crotch, because they barely have any visable leg, which would also make it very difficult to do digitigrade cx
Let me draw some pictures, just to demonstrate (will post in a bit) but if you want to be accurate, then plantigrade would be best. This picture demonstrates this just nicely~

Dang, thank you so much!
I'll probably stick to having normal plantigrade legs because I'm personally not a fan of drop crotches  XD
