As for tips.. this site is very friendly and newcomer friendly, so I can recommend it for making some friends (all of my best furry friends I've met here!). Also if your into art, furaffinity is a nice place to browse through as well.

Hi ya! For art JUST for furries, what timmy said, FurAffinity is your best bet. Also deviantArt has a section for Anthro. For community, this is your best bet. Also facebook and Google+ has groups you can join and interact with other furs.

As for any other sites tht are nice I recomend f4l (furry 4 life) its a furry social site. Its nice as long as you (in my opinion) stay from main chat, gets kinda annoying
