Hi, I am (VERY) new to the furry fandom.

 First off Sorry if I'm really awkward. I am terrible when it comes to socializing. Doesn't help that I have depression, low self-esteem, and anxiety that I am very ashamed of.

Anyway...

  Hi there! My name is Ally and my fursona is a cat named Midge who is a cellolist. Her breed is a Havana brown and like me is a introvert that loves music and history and is bad at socializing but is a very sweet person. Midge is also a pescatarian and pacifist. Her favorite band is called the Tuxedos (all the members are tuxedo cats.)
  I also very recently (about a few days ago) found that I am a furry. I think it may have been repressed to having negative views on furries when I was much younger (about 12-14 years old) thanks to the internet. Thankfully I grew out of it and *poof* at 18 years old I realized that I am furry. I should have realized this a long time ago because I love animals (especially cats) and I love characters that are animals that act more human. I guess another part of this is having a rough life can hinder finding out about yourself because you don't feel like person and have a negative view on yourself. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.

  I hope I can make friends here. Don't have many in real life....  Also sorry for the long post!

Hey there! Glad to see another person has made their way onto the forum. It is cool to see that your fursona is a cellist. Mine is a musician as well (stringed instruments) so we have that in common!


And yeah, I have a similar background with furry repression from having grown up on the internet when it was arguably at its most hostile against furries.
