so this topic is mostly as a plea for help. today i was having "the furry talk" with a friend of a friend who noticed my pride bumpersticker. at one point she asked me what my animal was and i had no answer. you guys have don this already...how to i pick "my animal." theres so many out there its hard to just pick one species for a fursona (and hybrids annoy me for the most part) i know this isnt absolutely necessary but i want to do it for a few reasons. one is a completion factor, i will finally have a fursona and it will feel like im finally a full furry. another is that i plan on making a fursuit (when i get a job to pay for it lol) so i want to make it according to my fursona.

but besides that i suppose i should introduce myself. for now you can call me greg (no fursona). i dont quite remember what got me into furries or when/how it happened (it seems like it started with the pron -_- *sigh*)

so im in need of a fursona, a suit, and cons. i think im finally gonna start being active in this whole furry thing and i plan on loving it! i dont have any irl furry friends and my other friends arent even close to furry (tho it doesnt faze them that i am one)

anything u want to know about me just ask and please give me a bit of help on my fursonality crisis

You wanna know what animal you are, huh?
I have a method I ask my friends IRL who wanna have a fursona.

Close your eyes (turn on music if it helps), and picture a scene in your head. Whatever animal pops in your head and seems to intrigue and make you happy, is most likely the animal you're going to end up liking.
It's worked for alot of my friends.
Sometimes, I just tell them "Well are you more sly like a fox, or pretty like a kitty? Maybe loyal like a dog?"
Your fursona should be special, and you should really feel like you ARE your fursona.

for me, I'm not TOTALLY firm with malamute, kinda a malamute husky arctic wolf thing.... so it all depends on how you feel at the time, Eclipse got it pretty good with the 'close your eyes' thing, but sometimes it's just a matter of trying a bunch out in your head lol

Hey greg or menace2socity welcome to the forums. Eclipse pretty much got you covered but I'll add a little. I made my fursona by just thinking for around 30 min. to 1 hour on what animal would be good for me. Of course as you can probably tell I chose a wolf. But as Eclipse said it has to really call out to you.

Oh yeah, and sometimes you just have an animal that reminds you of yourself or your life (I used to live in Alaska and I'm a rather large muscular guy, so an Alaskan malamute fit me lol)

no its fun. i gotta ask tho. making a fursona, im not sure if i should go with something like a cool raver wolf or a wolf who likes to rave. cuz i like to rave (not very experienced but wutevs). it just doesnt consume my life. but i also like the whole raver image. gaaah this shouldnt be hard!!!

oh and also thinking of making it a wolfcoon (yes i kno i said hybrids annoy me lol) cuz ive been digging raccoons recently but im not sure how long it would last
