Hi  ^___^

Haunted the forum for a while n decided to introduce myself.  I'm a short-haired Balinese from MO, and a future Navy cat to boot.

By the way, does anyone have tips on how to make a personalized avatar?  I think I could sketch the details, but I need some guides for the form.  Stealing someone else's work in an attempt to fit just won't do.

Well, you could ask some of the more accomplished artists, but you can choose whether you want your character to be feral or anthro (having a lot of human-like qualities). There are non-fur/non-scaly individuals here as well. So you may have to find out for yourself on what you really want your character to look like.
