When? Saturdays at 8pm EST / 7PM CST (tentative - time can be discussed before we begin)
Where? On skype
Ok, first things first, you need to be familiar with D&D gameplay. This is going to be an actual pen and paper type game where you will keep track of your character, blah blah blah, basically D&D over the internets. You also need to have decent role-play skills. Not only do we dungeon crawl, but you'll be in towns interacting with living environments.
So, what do I need from you?
Dedication: You need to be able to commit to the time and play. I usually run one adventure/dungeon per session so they can last from 2-6 hours (can always be cut short if needed). I need at least a days notice if you can't make it to a session that way I can reason why your character wasn't on the quest. We can discuss what time/day sessions take place.
Character Sheet: I need a 3.5 character sheet (no, I will not accept 4e) from you. You physically fill one out and photo/scan it, fill out a digital one, or even use this. Please start at Level 1 until we agree on what level we want to start at.
http://www.pathguy.com/cg35.htmDice: I will allow you to roll your own dice (like, in front of your computer), but if I feel that someone is cheating, we may have to use an online group dice roller (yes, I've found one). This leads to our next topic:
Honesty: Please be honest with your rolls/character sheets. We can all have fun if we all stay honest
Role-Playing: The only thing I ask of you is that you be creative and in-depth.
If you can provide these few things, than I'll be sure that we all have a great adventure with lots of laughs, epic battles, close calls, and a thriving world.
Housekeeping stuff: I accept most races and classes (found in other books than just the players handbook). If you really want to create a new race/class I can help build the stats for it as well as racial/class feats etc etc (note: it may require tweaking after we start if I feel it's too over/underpowered.) I'm looking for five brave adventurers, please have character sheets ready before applying and be willing to change if the group needs a different class. Although, a party of five wizards could be interesting lol.
We will decide what level to start at (for now, write up a Level 1 character) once we have everyone, expect the campaign soon.
Adventurers apply here (have character sheet ready at Level 1, i suggest PMing it to me) and let me know what your D&D skill level is.
TL;DR: This is for serious D&D 3.5 players only, if you are one, then why are you TL;DRing?
Adventure Intro now up!
Spoiler for Hidden:
The Quest for the Seven Keys
All has been as it should in the world of Tal'Norarth. Peace, calm, and
tranquility. That was until the Tearing. A dark lord had risen and sought
to make the world his own. In an ancient temple known only as Sol
Sorath, he tore the fabric that weaves the planes asunder and opened a
wormhole to another universe. The fabric tore all over Tal'Norarth,
dark portals opening across the land spewing out vile demons and
wicked creatures. However, not all seemed so bleak. An unknown
race, or rather races, of beings came through some of these dark
portals. They sought refuge in Tal'Norarth, as the dark lord, whom they
call Grogynn, had driven them out and made their world the seat of his
power. These new creatures were of beastblood, but stood upright.
They walked and talked as man and elf and dwarf, but looked much
like the beasts of the woods, skies, and plains. Together, Beastborn and
Norarthians shut the dark portals and sealed Grogynn behind these
Gates.
This feat passed into story, story to legend, legend to myth, and now,
two-thousand years later, all had been forgotten. The Gates still stand,
their purpose unknown to Tal'Norarth.
You and your friends are sitting at a table at the Black Horseshoe Inn,
you've polished your swords and armor, studied your spell books,
prayed to your gods, and made peace with nature. Together, you've
decided to leave the town of Bolarth and seek glory and adventure.
The only problem, is that you don't know where to start!
Note: Please no psionics. I don't know the class very well and from what I saw it was just uber complicated.
