I grew up with the Nintendo Gamecube and have played at least 50 games on it. Of these 50 games, my fondest memmories come from Phantasy Star Online ep. 1 and 2. I recieved this game in 2003 and played offline all the time. I played a Fonemn and reached nearly lvl 100. I never played online though, for back then I had no internet connection. Early this year, I got back into playing the game again. Soon I decided to see if I could get online. I researched how to do it, and to my displeasure, I discovered that the official Sega serveres had been shut down.
Luckilly, my hopes were lifted, for private servers still existed. I found an acclaimed server called Schtack and decided to join it. I got a Gamecube broadband adapter, and was soon playing online for the first time! I enjoyed doing this and raised my level even higher. Unfortunatly, only 15-25 people are on at a time. However, nearly 200 people are on at one time on the Blue Burst servers.
I love this game dearly and still play it today. I hope Sega remakes this game for the newer consoles.
