Bryce 7
« on: April 12, 2011, 07:37:20 AM »
There's a program I downloaded called Bryce 7. It's a free 3d landscape making program that is fun to mess around with. I like to fiddle around with sometimes and just make random pictures. Since there is no one else to share my doodlery with I decided to start posting it up on Furry Forum!

You can download the program for free from this link: http://www.daz3d.com/i/software/bryce7?_m=d

And here is a picture I started making but got bored of trying to hunt down references for the buildings. So it's unfinished and it shows. It's based off a video game I use to play called Outpost 2.

It's a good start, but it doesn't look completely rendered because of the visible render lines in the background, also, zooming in could help a lot. I can't really tell what the buildings look like D:

Bryce 7 was my favorite landscaping program, but the downside is it also perhaps the worst for rendering things "quickly" it takes soooooo LONG T_T

Zooming in would just show how terrible the buildings actually look.  XP

And I'm not sure if I allowed it to render fully. You're right, it takes SOOO long to render.

Something I cooked up in about 30 minutes. Preset objects used. My AVI imported as a texture and placed on a flat surface. Normal black material with slightly turned up reflection used on the mug. Wood material used with slightly turned up reflection on the desk. Sun disabled and a normal light sphere placed just in front of the scene. Premium quality AA render, with blurred shadows, blurred reflections and transmissions. Just over two minute render time.

The Outpost 2 Doodle with a much closer camera shot and improved rendering. Maxed out render took almost 30 minutes to complete. Compressed the image to make it possible to upload here.
