*takes a deep breath*
1. Are you reviewing the topics you are having trouble with daily? If not, it may be time to start. In a crowded study schedule, some things get reviewed more often than others. Re-prioritizing your study schedule may be in order.
2. You may not be able to see her as much, but that doesn't mean you won't be friends. You can still talk to her every day if you want.
3. The only way I know of making money is by working. If you need some extra cash, and if you're saving for a trip, you could try a part-time job now, instead of the full-time job in the summer.
4. Wait until you have to work ALL year. For years.
It doesn't suck that much, really! You just have to learn to leave work at work and enjoy the fruits of all that hard labor.
5. Yay! First traveling adventure! I hope it's the first of many for you. Passports are handy, and they're easy to get. I spent about 4 hours on a day off running around getting pictures taken and submitting the forms in person. 2 weeks later, my passport arrived. I think it was about $80 (this is in Canada by the way). Do you need a passport for your trip? And where are you headed?
6. Losing a friend is always hard, not going to sugar coat it. I'm sure your friends would like to spend more time with you, but it seems like you have such a full schedule you don't have time to spend with them. If you feel like you're losing touch with people who matter to you, it's time to reconnect.
7. What do you do with your boyfriend? Can your friends come with? Does he play video games? Isn't the point of having a boyfriend to enjoy time together, not have him just take time up between homework and the Internet?
8. Say it with me: Drawing is a skill. Like all skills, it must be learned. If you're serious about learning how to draw, ask for guidance from the artists around here, get a few books, take a class in the summer, learn about art and techniques, etc. etc. etc. You won't be good overnight; you will only be as good as the last time you practiced, then you can improve.
9. If your mom wants a dog, then wouldn't it be her dog? Tell her you don't want another pet and if there is going to be another pet in the house, you won't be the one taking care of it. Try not to get into a fight about it, but be assertive and stand your ground.
10. What if you get hit by a car? What if you fall in the tub? WHAT IF YOUR GYM TEACHER IS REALLY A MIND CONTROLLING ALIEN BENT ON GALACTIC DOMINATION?!?! There are a million what-ifs out there, but you can't let yourself get obsessed with them. Speaking from experience, the what-ifs in life will drive you bonkers if you let them. So what if you don't get to take your trip this summer? So what if you get a B instead of an A? Think of the broader scheme of your life; 5, 10, 50 years from now, are you really going to care? Tackling your problems will be much easier if you're not making mountains out of mole hills
*hands Super happy Horror a dozen chocolate cupcakes* Hang in there kiddo, you'll get through it!
