Come on, people. this is supposed to be an educational organisation:
When my school stopped doing Japanese I did the logical thing, applied for coresponda.... corre.... Independant learning. The subjects I had chosen were only really last ditch, so I decided to re arrange these too. (Apparently the subjects I chose didn't fit in with the core classes not for complete dumbasses, the core classes I was given didn't even bother to hand out grades higher than the "at least you tried" Achived.)
I went to my dean about the class changes and he said I could drop the classes for the new ones, but only when the pack arrived for the Japanese. I complained politely that this was illogical and I should surely be allowed to study for the periods I would otherwise spend twiddling my thumbs. He agreed.
In the next chapter of my frustration the pack didn't arrive for the first two weeks of term, and my "Mentor" (leaves a bad taste, doesn't it?) started to get pissed off at me concerned that I was studying for those free periods was twiddling my thumbs eight hours a week. So he put me back in the hospitality class I was trying to drop.
Now, of course the Dean's hasty repair work was only a temporary measure, so it may amuse you to hear that over the next five days that the Japanese pack pointedly didn't arrive he still wouldn't change my subjects.
Wait for it... The pack didn't arrive until the LAST DAY OF TERM. I NOW HAVE TEN WEEKS OF WORK TO DO IN 14 DAYS
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH
