Trying to get a fitness regime going
« on: April 14, 2015, 10:10:42 PM »
So I'm trying to get general fitness more into my lifestyle and was wondering if anyone had any input.
For the past while it's al been down to my martial arts and the odd trip to the gym where I just do cardio,
however recently with my martial arts we've started doing some hectic warmups which involves holding the horse stance for a few minutes.

Horse stance  involves keeping your back straight and thighs parallel to the ground (photo is not of me)

Generally I'm feeling more motivated to get fitter and work towards being able to do more than 10 pushups.
A small routine I've adapted goes as follows for when I wake up and before I sleep:
10 squats with feet together
10 squats with feet shoulder length apart
10 squats with feet wide apart
Hold Horse stance for a count down of 20
20-30 pushups
20 seconds bridge
10 seconds side bridge on each side
10 sit ups

Any comments on this?
Could it be to much?
Should I look at weights?
I'm also proud to say I'm working on a healthier diet :P
