I feel like no one is interested in what i am
« on: June 19, 2015, 11:48:06 PM »
As the title says, i feel like most of my friends don't understand the things i am into (i.e. most of the video games i play, furries, the music i listen to, etc) and i feel rather alone. most of my online friends are busy most of the time and/or have become annoyed by my repeated messsages. Can anyone relate and/or help? Thanks, it means a lot to me.

What could help is looking for friends in places that also like what you do. For each video game, music taste and interest you have there is more than likely a forum, Facebook group and/or website for it. I myself was once an admin of a very popular forum dedicated to a video game character. You'd be surprised how many things people have in common with each other, so don't be afraid to reach out by looking beyond what you already have. If it's not enough, just look for more until it is.

Yeah I can totally relate to the friends part and the alone part. Ive gotten to the point where I wonder if my friends are even my friends anymore or if they're just blowing me off. It probably half the reason im just like eh I dont wanna do anything anymore screw it ill stay here and be alone.

I can easily relate to this. All my friends irl either like metal or country music while I have very of taste. And they either don't like video games at all or they don't like the games I like. I often have trouble finding people I can relate to irl and online.

You should try to find friends that share the same interests as you like here for furry friends or in the video game board for video game friends, I myself love video games and furries so if you want to become friends, that's fine. I like shooters like Call Of Duty and Blacklight Retribution as well as other genres. If you want to play some games together add me on PlayStation

i can relate because in my younger years my scenario was pretty much one for one. but luckily my current friends are very open. sure our interests don't match up perfectly (90% of them are car guys when i am not) but it's pretty close or we all play games that we don't particularly enjoy and they aren't really furries but they like the idea behind them so yeah. sometimes you need to do things out of your comfort zone to actually know if you do like or not same with them. so my advice just be open you never know you might be surprised.
