Okay, so here's the thing!
When I was a teenager I had a cute kitty named Ashton.
I wasn't very nice to him, because I had a severe and wonky OCD where I'd obsessively search him for fleas.
Long story short I recovered, matured, and learned about proper cat care, and now I live with my sister and our sweet lil kitty named Schrodinger or lil Schrodi while he ended up staying with my parents since I had to live in a no pet apartment when I first moved out.
I visit mom and dad, but I give Ashton space because I'm aware that he likely isn't fond of me from my teenage years.
HERE'S THE THING.
My parents took in a very energetic and possibly once abused cat named Percy, and I'm worried that Percy is just stressing the heck out of Ashton, but mom and dad won't do anything about it.
Ashton used to be able to snuggle up against mom and get pet by dad...now he just gets out of the house as soon as he can to rest outside until night so he'll be away from Percy!
I want both cats to be happy, so I don't want Ashton to be just driven away from his humans, and I want to assist mom and dad with making things easier for both cats so that they don't annoy each other and get equal amounts of attention.
But they seem to be convinced that everything is a-ok and that there is no problem.
It's likely out of my control, so this is more of a rant than anything, but since I was mean to Ashton as a teenager I feel as though I HAVE to help him get more comfortable or else I'm just hurting him more.
What do you guys think? :<
