And you're right, you're an adult, she can't say what you can and can't do online if it's in your own time and you're not throwing it in her face every day.

Maybe you can say that this site is for people who like anthro art. Name examples  like The Lion King is anthro art, and it's 100% kid-friendly, Alpha And Omega (a newer film about wolves), etc.
Say this forum is like those movies: Meant to be kid-friendly, and it's all being supervised.
This site is helping you connecting to others and sharing a common interest.
